I love Chicago dogs and slaw dogs. Every time I get a craving, I stop by.

H&M has been a staple of DeFuniak longer than I’ve been alive and still delivers the same fresh, delicious burgers and dogs I’ve counted on all these years. The current staff is always friendly and welcoming, just as in the past. If you miss the “what fer you” that used to prompt you to order, you’re not alone, but you’ll find it on the back of each uniform. A staple for locals and a hidden gem for travelers. PS If you haven’t already, try the slaw dog. It uses the best slaw in town and it’s absolutely delicious!

I drove 6.5 hours from the Tampa area for these hot dogs! I recommend the chili cheese dog :)

Very small place, but the food was fantastic. If you order a double, better be hungry. My wife got a BLT. Big sandwiches and friendly staff. We will definitely be back

It's cute hot dog stand and the worker are polite with 8 stools not bad but plenty outside to eat i was thinking maybe a hugh fan to give some air and the order I love there melt patty and Chilli dog and sweet tea 🍵 😋

It is definitely a tiny place inside but they have a beautiful outdoor space with umbrellas if needed and extra large picnic tables. Great staff. Good prices.

While always good the place is getting over new management and that takes time but my only issue would be afew years ago a new owner changed the menu added things to make it a more modern menu but if it ain't broke hey hamburgers and hot dogs .has kept the place as the best burger in town and we hsve al taken or kids snf grand kids ther why change what eorkd

For a pregnant lady who can't eat anything, this place was fabulous!! I got a hot dog and when I finished it, I got another!! Hubby got a burger and he's very picky and he said he wished he knew about this place sooner, he loved it so much! Unfortunately this is our last day of vacation but we will be sure to come back next time we are here!! If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would!!!

Small spot. Very cramped . Fairly decent hotdog. May have caught them on an off day but the service did not come with a smile. Even though all I had was 2 hotdogs and a Dr Pepper.... All in all not bad but not great.

Recommended to us by a local. Burgers and hot dogs only. It is a tiny little place with a handfull or barstools at the cpunter and food cooked 5 ft away. The service was excellent, the burger and dogs were delicious. We stopped as we were passing thru and wish we were going back the other way so we could eat there again.

The chili cheese dog isn’t what it used to be. I had to repeat my order more than 4 times to the ladies, I was the only one in the room. They’re constantly out of something on the menu everytime I go. This has been repeated visits, so I don’t like giving a 1 start to this place, because it used to be a really good spot. I tipped either way. The owner is very nice, but I only met her once.

Cute little hotdog stand. We stopped in to charge our Tesla and stumbled across this place while taking a short walk. I had a beef slaw dog and my wife had a cheeseburger. They were both very tasty. I especially like the slaw. I'm glad to have found a quick place to grab a bite to eat. We will be back the next time we pass through. Two thumbs up!

Very small but gives a hometown feeling great food lovely staff not to pricey

Had a chili dog here awhile back. The chili, cheese, and bun were fine but the hot dog was worse than "Bar-S" hotdogs you get at Walmart for a buck for 8 hotdogs. Will definitely not be going back for a second try!!!

I was very surprised and pleased to see this amazing and historical hotdogs 🌭 house open after me being gone in the military for over 20 years. Great tasting Burger and the double dog was satisfying

time use to eat here all the time, but haven't been in a while. I loved the way the burgers were made, you know the juicy, greasy burgers. But this time the burger was dry and tough. 😥 watching them make the burger, the weight they put on the meat as it is frying, the cook squeezed out all the juices, like shoe leather, and no taste. Please, please go back to the way you use to cook them! Edit..... went back and don't know if they were having a bad day last time or if they replaced the cook........ the hamburger was great!

My daughter ate the entire hotdog as if it were a wagyu steak. She wouldn't share, but judging on how quick she ate the entire hotdog at 2 years of age, I'd say it must be great! 😃

Our family ate at H&M Hot Dogs on September 4th, 2021 while visiting Defuniak Springs. We had a fun, unique experience with great food and great, friendly service. I'm usually a chili dog kind of person, but feeling adventurous decided to try their Chicago dog, the sauerkraut dog, and a slaw dog. All three were amazing, and I've found myself thinking about them over the last two weeks and wanting to get back to Defuniak for more! Don't miss out, you've gotta experience H&M Hot Dogs!

H & M Hot Dogs was an Unexpected pleasure the Hot Dogs were well made and delicious (I suggest the Chicago and the Sauerkraut Dogs) and the staff great..even with an incredible lunch crowd and tons of orders. For being a lunch cart stated 74 years ago, it is easy to see why they are so popular.

We have ordered food from these guys several times. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I love the polish dogs with chili, cheese and onions. My wife loves their sauerkraut dogs. They are always busy, so best to order ahead and then drive over and pick up. All in all a great place!

I am giving this a 3 star because this is the first time my food was this way. I understand prices have to go up not complaining about that. When it cost me $20 for 3 cheeseburgers I do expect the hamburger patty to be hot and the cheese melted. All 3 burgers we got were cold. The bread was hard as a rock and the lettuce was brown. If I could post pictures I would.

Oldest hit dig stand in Florida! What an niche accomplishment. Such a cute shack in downtown Defuniak. The hot dog was pale so I was scared at first, but the taste was alright. Not the best hot dogs ever, nor the cleanest looking building but was overall good. Staff was friendly and patient as well. Im not kidding about how pale that hot dog was. I got the dog and my fingers messed up and I'm pale as can be.

Some things never change luckily. Our lunch was fast,fun,and fantastic. Maggie and Merle would be proud !

I usually don't leave reviews because I work at a restaurant & know how tough it can be but this was the worst hotdog I've ever had, hands down. The only reason there is 3 *'s is because my boyfriend got the burger & it was okay. Neither employees were wearing gloves & there was no ice for the tea. Lots of business but I'm not sure why? The chili taste like it came out of a can & didn't even have anything added to it & the hotdogs were rubbery & not completely cooked. The burger was juicy but basic. The only side is a small variety of chips & there is also soda. Not going back.

This was just on time for me......as I settle in from Traveling ...over 300 miles..I was craving for Volcano Roll...Search Goggle for sushi near me...5 places was near bit with my Choice and it was a Good one.. One word.....Delicious

This is a small hotdog and hamburger mom and pop. They are delicious! Simple place no dress code but be polite and wear shirt and shoes. Prices were fantastic.
