I had been to the Speakeasy a few times and decided to rent out the downstairs area outside of it for a baby shower. It was perfect for our event, and the host Megan was very helpful and accommodating. They really added a gem to downtown Delavan and I hope for their continued success. Recommend a visit to anyone who has not been to try the coffee, specialty cocktails or is looking for an event space. Cheers ~ Eric

The vibes are immaculate at this location considering what else is in (or rather not in the area). Beautiful, calm space. The baristas are fine but I don’t feel like they want to connect (the couple of times i’ve been). Will 100% be coming back. Great place to take a breath and relax.

Great place beautiful outside area

Overall: not bad, but could be better. Atmosphere and location: This is a cute place. The atmosphere after receiving your drinks is really nice. I think it was an old farmhouse/farm. They rent for weddings and you can see why. There is a greenhouse/sunroom area with a seating bar around the windows. Very nice. There is an upstairs loft with working desks, as well. The giant cheese board is adorable. The lounge chairs are comfortable, but are in definitely used condition. So if atmosphere is your most important attribute, then this is your place. I did enjoy that aspect and lounged for a little over an hour. Service: i came in just before a rush. So there were only a couple people inside and it was very quiet. I ordered a vanilla caramel cappuccino and an Ethiopian, single origin pour over. I intended on ordering a breakfast sandwich because i had seen the menu online, but did not see any menu for it inside, and then got distracted, and forgot. So i cannot comment on food. Talking with the cashier/barista was average at best. No one seemed pleased that guests were starting to come in, and it could have just been me, but she seemed unhappy that i wanted to order a pour over. Prices are aligned with the rest of the industry. If you don't like spending $5 on coffee, don't go out to get coffee. Taste, appearance, quality: The steaming of the milk for the cappuccino was well done. I forgot to ask for it dryer, but still was a pleasant and silky experience. The syrups were proportioned well with the small size i ordered. Good flavor and not overly sugary. Although, i was shocked to see a bunch of grounds when i was near finishing. I have never experienced that before, so it was just something to note. I did not hate the pour over, but it wasn't my favorite. I think more to the origin i picked than their brewing process. Just not for me. I will choose something else in the future. Overall, it is a decent place to check out. If I was in the area i would stop.

Bad experience from the order taking … disappointing and somewhat infuriating.

Love everything about this place except one thing: they don’t have a creamer container so you can put creamer in your coffee. The baristas do it for you and I’ve had some that don’t put enough and others way too much. I think it’d be nice if they let the customer do it. Other places do it, I’m not sure why they don’t.

Definitely a legitimate coffee experience. Very comfortable inside, great views. Good looking treats to eat and Rishi Tea, just look for the iconic COFFEE shed outside and maybe they’ll have an art show in the space on the property.

So first the coolest little coffee house with expertly made specialty coffee drinks. Annnnd they roast their own coffee on site. But shhhhh if you're cool enough. There's a secret speakeasy in the basement. Complete with secret password a payphone code and a moving wall inside the old school phone booth. The unique and expertly crafted cocktails are cool. But the vibe is HOT🔥 . The best kept secret in Delevan.

Such a cute, cozy, local coffee shop! The baristas are always super friendly, and good about remembering your name/face if you go even somewhat regularly. I love all the pastries and chocolates! Coffee is always delicious, and I like that there are non-dairy milk options!

The food is incredible. Amazing service & atmosphere. The coffee is awful - I had a vanilla latté 2 days in a row - both times I could barely taste any espresso and I don't even drink strong coffee normally.

Super cute spot for coffee or events! I absolutely love coming here for quick photo sessions and some coffee/snacks! Also have attended events here & the staff was super responsive. Highly recommend!

I adore the cozy greenhouse coffee bar in the back. It's a great way to start your day. Quick and friendly service. Good balanced cup of black drip coffee, not too strong or weak. The pumpkin latte was a little too sweet for my taste but once I blended the black drip coffee with the latte it was perfect! 😋

We tried the new location in Delavan. We were excited to see they have a small lunch menu. What a disappointment! The food was expensive and very basic and the person who brought it out was extremely unhelpful when we asked for napkins. I had to line up at the counter where only one staff member was working to get a napkin! The venue was nice and inviting but unfortunately our experience wasn't!

We had our wedding at boxed and burlap and it was an absolute dream! The perfect venue with an indoor/outdoor feel and we heard nothing but compliments from all our guests about how great it was. The coffee shop being right on site for getting ready coffees was a game changed for me and my girls! The staff was so great the whole day and we had no complaints!! Only downside for us personally was there was little flexibility in bar packages that weren’t one of their set options. Which was not a huge deal but something to note. Overall amazing place to grab coffee with some friends or have your wedding!!

Very cute and quaint place. The muffin was delicious, but I was disappointed in my cappuccino. It had no flavor at all, so I asked for more flavor added, but it still tasted like water with a little whip cream added. I felt like they forgot to put coffee in it. I will give them another chance, because how cute the place is.

Boxed and Burlap is an absolute dream. We got married here a week ago and I’m so happy we made the decision to use their beautiful venue. The staff was so sweet, communicative and helpful. Our guests also loved having the coffee house onsite to enjoy while they ate their cake. Having the Batton House on-site to get ready made our day run smoothly as well. I've driven past this place so many times that this past weekend I decided it was time to finally try it. I arrived during QUITE the Sunday morning rush (it appeared to be a post-wedding coffee run for just about everyone at the wedding, plus your average Sunday morning crowd). Despite the crowd, the staff worked like a well-oiled machine to crank out orders in no time. I ordered a tuxedo mocha hot, and it was so good! While the ambiance of the cafe was amazing, I took my order to go as I needed to hit the road to head home. I will definitely be back, and hope to be able to enjoy the next drink in the beautiful space there!

We found Boxed and Burlap through a friend that happened to be enjoying a cup of coffee on the patio. After a quick Instagram stalk, we knew this could be the perfect fit for coffee lovers like us to have our Wedding. Right away, Jillian turned the focus to us on our tour. She was engaged in hearing our story and what separated us as a couple. The natural beauty of the land stole our hearts immediately. One thing that truly made Boxed and Burlap stand out, was the flexibility and encouragement to make the day how we wanted to. Many venues can control the vendors, day of schedule and planning process, but Boxed and Burlap allowed us to make it what we pictured. For example, we wanted to have our ceremony at 1pm as we weren’t doing a first look, that was easy accommodated. We also were able to bring in any vendor we wanted such as caterer, florist, photographer, videographer, DJ, and chair/table rentals. Matty, the venue coordinator, was available for us at all hours of the day. His expertise and guidance, truly gave us the day of a lifetime. We will continue to look forward to visiting often with all the fun events Boxed and Burlap also does and enjoy reliving the experience with each visit.

Top 3 best coffee shops I’ve ever been to. The atmosphere was amazing, chai latte - perfection, the cinnamon cake was insane, the whole vibe was so cute. If I were to open up a coffee shop, it’d be exactly like this one, I loved it so much. Outdoor was so beautiful, its such a great venue!

Fun, country rustic interior theme. The back greenhouse room feels like a missed opportunity. While the sun drenched room calls to you, the railing seating and lack of any sound dampening yields an uncomfortable space making conversation nearly impossible. The lofted area and great room are very comforting. Staff are bright and eager. The outdoor seating patio is very nice, shielded from any road noise and with ample spacing between tables, offers a great space for reading or sharing a private conversation.

This place is a hidden gem in Southern Wisconsin. I have spent a few hours here on a weekday and a weekend. My daughter surely enjoyed the treats. I spent a day working from this location as well. It was great. Great space. Super awesome people work there. It is a very popular destination for influencers so don’t be surprised to find photo shoots happening. Bring some patience over the weekends since they can get really busy but it is totally worth it. Always enjoy talking to the owner about football (soccer).

We love Boxed so much that we got married here. Such a great place, nice people, beautiful building, and delicious coffee.

Although it's a cute and cozy little place, all there was to eat was dry Cinnamon roll bread, the drink menu was basic, and the Baristas voice was absolutely cringe worthy. Also, she said they have a police discount, but not one for veterans. If you can tolerate high-pitched valley girl gossip, focus on the great music in the background, and you are looking for a simple menu, this could be your place!

A hidden gem (or maybe a local gem) near lake geneva!! I loved everything about this place. The coffee is good, decently priced, and the decor (interior & exterior) is beautiful. If I lived in Lake Geneva, I would go here everyday.

I really love getting coffee here. I always feel so comfortable at the coffee shop. I like to work on homework while I enjoy my coffee. The baristas are always very helpful and nice. They always go out of their way to make sure that I have a great time and that I get everything that I need. I absolutely love the upstairs seating area. It is a great place to really focus and get a lot of work done. I also really enjoy the outdoor seating. Sitting outside on a nice warm day is a great way to enjoy my coffee.

We're visiting from the Seattle area and we got an amazing drip coffee and a great americano. We are used to getting great coffee and had been pretty disappointed with all the other coffee shops in Lake Geneva. This is the place for great fresh roasted coffee! The drip coffee was mild and nutty just like I like it.

As a local college student, Boxed and Burlap is a popular place for me and several of my friends to go and get homework done. The staff is very kind and lets us sit there for hours while doing our homework, even if we all did not buy something! I have been here a handful of times to do homework, and it is a beautiful location. The staff is friendly and quick to welcome in patrons. Boxed and Burlap has a great menu for a coffee shop, a clean well kept facility and extremely friendly and welcoming staff. My friends and I aren't the only ones who have found this hidden gem, so sometimes we have to squeeze at a smaller table to do our work. In a perfect world, I would love for them to have a few more larger tables. However, plan on continuing to come back because I really enjoy going to boxed and burlap and would recommend it to anyone whether you are a coffee lover, tea drinker, or student looking to get homework done.

We loved this venue! In particular, all of the staff members were helpful and responsive. The point person, Matty, got to know us as a couple and always answered our questions and helped us to plan the space out. The barn area is very clean and large and spacious. We had about 170 people attend our wedding and there was room to spare. The grounds are very well kept. We had our ceremony outside and the space was perfect. The restrooms were very clean and had more than enough capacity for everyone. The Battenhouse was a great space to get ready in and have an area to get away from guests. The coffee house on the grounds was also a really nice perk, especially because our guests got free coffee! I highly recommend this venue to anyone interested.

Beautiful venue, nice space inside and outside patio as well. 3 stars because it is not caterer friendly. There is no private prep space AT ALL for caterers. Everything has to be done right in front of the guests and out of the back of the caterers truck.

I love it here! When you arrive and start walking towards the door , the smell of their coffee is intoxicating! It reminded me of visiting my favorite coffee plantation in Kauai and brought tears to my eyes! Such a nice place to pause and enjoy a cup of lavender latte with a friend or even by yourself on the outdoor patio or inside the cute coffee shop. 💗 ☕️🌈⛵️🥰

Very good coffee and pastries. Nice coffee atmosphere. Great place to relax, watch people and enjoy your drink. Only negative is a weak signal on both wifi and cellphone. For this reason I give it a 4.

We always have an enjoyable experience at Boxed and Burlap. The baristas are always helpful and friendly with making selections whether it is coffee or a treat. My kiddos also really love the kids nook underneath the stairs with books and they also enjoy the chess board in the greenhouse type room. My daughter and I have enjoyed the upstairs to sit and spend time together. Overall a beautiful location with wonderful people and options!

I love this place! The baristas are fun, kind, attentive, and professional. If you want great coffee, a cool atmosphere, and a place to meet with someone…find it here! One caveat…it’s a great environment but can be a little loud for a quiet conversation in the busy winter season.

I was searching for local coffee shops in the area and stumbled upon Boxed & Burlap. When I arrived I immediately was obsessed with how cute this place is! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by a group of friendly women. They offer a variety of different types of coffee beverages. I ordered the salted honey latte and it was delicious! Boxed & Burlap is very cozy to enjoy your coffee while working, meeting up friends or just yourself with your coffee and a book. I plan to come here every morning for my coffee while I’m in town!

This venue was the venue of our dreams for our wedding! Communication with the vendor manager/coordinator was incredible up until the day of our wedding. Long story short, we had to work with a back-up coordinator and it caused a lot of headaches throughout the day... BUT the back-up tried her best! Nevertheless, this venue was incredible. And not to mention the free coffee during weddings! That was a HUGE hit with our guests. P.S. ALL staff were wonderful to work with. Matty and his crew are very accommodating and truly want to make your dream wedding come true.

Excellent customer service and an excellent atmosphere for studying, chatting, or just soaking up the nuance. Highly recommend!
