This place!!! They have it dialed in, from the customer service, beer, ramen fries, whiskey burger, and the barbacoa tacos! I would drive an hour out of the way and bypass a ton of restaurants to eat here. It's delicious and consistent every time! Having Bru tap house around the corner is another plus! Can't wait to come back!

Loved the American burger! Great for a classic burger or they have some pretty cool creations!! Tried the cheezetopia and the red velvet waffle with Nutella, yum!!

Quirky menu full of delicious options. I got the buffalo chicken tater tots , my daughter got waffle fries with their delicious bean chili. Having been here before and tried the burgers and waffles (also very good) and haven't even gotten to the taco section. Really something for everyone! Even nice beer and dessert selections. Looking forward to going back!

The food here is really good. Lots of options to choose from. Price is from like $10-20 approx. Friendly service and cute place to go for lunch. But it did get busy right after we got there at 11am so be prepared for a lunch rush!

Fabulous burgers! Expensive but you get what you pay for. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals with burgers, Mac n cheese. The fries seemed reheated. The staff was polite and helpful when they were around.

I wish we lived closer to Tavares. Our family had some business in Tavares and found this gem of a restaurant. We are glad we did! All four of us had different tacos and the brussel sprouts. We all love tacos and have had them from all over the country and different parts of Mexico. Hands down we all agreed these were the BEST! We couldn’t figure out which one we liked the best because they were all amazing. The service was also amazing. I wish I could remember our servers name, she was great. We will be back!

My first reaction was "good grief! $20 for a burger?!" But we decided to stay, even though there is no table service, they bring your food on a paper lined tray and the cups and cutlery are plastic. You order from the counter, then sit in the most uncomfortable seating made. Then the food comes out...it takes awhile since everything is fresh made. The uncomfortable seating, the lousy plastic forks disappear as you eat amazing food! I mean OMG good food. We had the smashed brussel sprouts and a biscuit waffle topped with perfectly fried chicken, a fantastic sausage gravy, a sausage patty, pepper bacon (that was the best I have ever had) and a sunny side up egg. We will be back and we will bring our own silver and plates with us...this food is insulted by the plastic!

First time visitors to this restaurant. I heard about it from a barber that I reviewed elsewhere. Burgers tacos and waffles. They said it came from three different food trucks combining for a business. We showed up at opening on Saturday which was noon, and within 10 minutes eight of the 11 tables were full. We ordered the bad mother chugar, and their mega Mac Burger. And loaded fries. The barbecue on the chicken was not what we understood or expected, and that was our mistake. It was truly very spicy. It also had a weird consistency to us, not that they did something wrong, but it was very unexpected almost like a dry rub on a fried chicken. I had it later, as leftovers and it was actually really good but still spicy. The burger was great the not your nacho fries was enough for both of us actually. If we want it to be penny Pinchers we could have shared those alone. I am not a fan of the soft drinks that they served. They had some unbranded drinks and there was only one diet option, and it was really flavorless and bland and almost flat. And at $3.50 per soda I was not a happy camper on that. I give them a full five stars because they are niche and they try and their service was great their people were attentive but they still want you to stand up and pay at the counter and order at the counter, but then ask for tips at the counter before you eat and before you even see the service. As for drinks, there must be something with a liquor license because they handed you a drink menu but you had to physically walk outside the front door and into the concoctions place next door... That were actually connected inside to be able to order something like a margarita. It was very strange and unexpected and I didn't want to have to pay two different places to do a meal and drinks. So if they can work that out it'll be an added plus to the location. They are situated if you're sitting outside you might be able to see the seaplanes coming in and out from the seaplane rides. All in all a good experience I'm happy I am going to go back and try it again until we find a what exactly is our flavor. But the burger was great I'll give it that The burger was truly great and my wife was very jealous that she ordered a chicken that was too spicy for her and my burger was tasty sorry hun 😘 o

Sadly the burguer was not good and nowhere near being worth not even $10. It had no flavor. A burger from publix would have probably been better. The corn and cookies were amazing. Service was great too.

I really enjoyed this place. We have been there before and ate outside, this time it was inside, it was small but very nice and clean.

I got the southerner burger and truffle fries and both were delicious. The ladies in the front of the house were also great, they were all very sweet and attentive! All around great experience. I will definitely be back to try several more things as there were so many more options on the menu that sounded wonderful.

My family will drive just about anywhere for good burgers, waffles, or tacos, but BTW is the best! Absolutely love their food and the employees are great and super helpful. I have a gluten allergy and the ladies in the front of the house can always answer my questions when I want to try something different. I have found the menu to be celiac friendly and I have not had any issues eating here. Definitely recommend the breakfast burger and they also have delicious gluten free desserts pre-packaged at the counter!

Absolutely AMAZING! If I come back into this area I'm definitely stopping by again, you can tell the drinks and food were made with love and they did not hold back on anything. I'm 100% telling my friends about this place. A true jem in a perfect location. Keep up the great work y'all!

I love meat, but their vegan tacos are fire. Quality food. Friendly service. Not to mention, Bru Tap House is right next door to grab a beer and even have your food delivered to you at Bru's.

Food was mediocre. Waffle fries weren't good at all. Substituting is not allowed. Service was good. 3 of us, 3 entrees was almost $73. Portions were average at best. Just not that good to justify the price.

BTW (burgers tacos waffles) aka by the way 🤣 … it’s delicious .. contemplating the last of if.. given it a rest for a few minutes.. cause my stomach may fit it later .. not enough for left overs for tomorrow 🤣..that how delicious it was.. so yummy ..thank you so much

I am extremely disappointed, I ordered a single waffle for my so and it tasted as if the whip cream was spoiled. We asked for a plain waffle as a replacement and they said no it could not be switched. I’ve never been to a restaurant that has ever done that. The waffle was also $12.00. I didn’t ask for a refund just simply for a plain waffle for my son and they refused. I will never return here.

The prices are insanely high. The food is good and unique, but not really worth the prices. We were going several times a week, but sinking in $55 for 2 people and if we wanted to get fancy with the Italian soda and appetizers the bill can easily exceed $100 for two people. The other issue is they have a menu with creative items.... but if you want to swap one ingredient from one dish, they are fast to say "NO, can't be done...". If you ask to change anything around, they have to go get a manager, the manager says "No, can't do that either". That does get annoying. I do like a lot of the food, but I'm just not sure I'd want to sink a bunch of money into eating there often.

We really enjoyed BTW. Staff was friendly and courteous. Food was excellent. We both had burgers. He also had a waffle and I tried the deep fried Oreos. Definitely worth a stop for a relaxed lunch/dinner for comfort food that hits the spot.

There are soooo many great items on the menu to try. From the burgers that have unique tastes and toppings, to the 6 cheese mac and cheese, or course the walking taco (which was huge) then finally the red velvet fried Oreos that we dipped in the raspberry sauce that came with our cheese curds (also added the jalapeño beer cheese as well). The staff was polite, friendly and took great care of us. If you have a chance to try it, do so. It's worth it.

Some of the best tacos in Central Florida, and my wife and I have been there 20+ times and keep going back - delicious food! Try the Mexican street corn - wonderful! The staff are friendly and helpful, excellent service and pleasant people. However.......the music the owner plays is awful - Dean Martin etc and other hits from the 50s, 40s and 30s. It's completely at odds with the demographic being served......burgers, waffles and tacos are a young persons food, and even some oldies hate this music [me]. It's a puzzle... Apart from this comment, a great restaurant.

Had an issue with my burger but that was because I ordered it well done.the manager was very nice about it. Everything else was absolutely bangin!

Everyone that works here are amazing, I have made multiple orders here and every time my order comes out hot and fresh. The food is amazing and unique. This place is definitely worth a visit.

Not impressed and don’t get the hype. Sometimes you just want a taco. Not everything has to be fusion of different flavor profiles. Won’t be coming back.

A mixed review: my medium rare burger was cooked medium, and the toppings (mac n cheese) were bland. My brother, on the other hand, liked 2 of 3 tacos. So we will probably go again. I like the restaurant's decor vibe, and location in downtown Tavares. Staff were excellent.

Everything was fantastic, and they were decorated for the Holidays the owner out did herself!! I was there 11/30/23 and the bearded gentleman behind the bar was wonderful, I'm sorry I can't remember his name.

Was super excited to try this place when I saw it on Google maps! Went for lunch and ordered the "Breakfast for Dinner" burger with tater tots and an order of cheese curds. The cheese curds were okay - better than a Culver's but not 5* worthy. And while the burger had great flavor, a waffle for a bun doesn't work at all - falls apart completely and is too heavy. I'd definitely come back to try the tacos or maybe a chicken sandwich!

Food is great. Burgers have a lot of flavor. The girls are nice and attentive, even when busy.

Had an American Burger and Turkey Burger with tots and waffle fries. The turkey burger was okay. It had flavor and the texture was good but it seemed to be more steamed as opposed to fried on the griddle or something. The bun was good and the tots were not too greasy. The burger had great flavor and texture. It was cooked to about medium which I like. The vegetables were fresh and the bun was nice. It was a busy night so the food took around half an hour or so to get. The burger was warm but the fries were a bit cold. The restaurant was pretty clean even with all the foot traffic. Even the bathroom was pretty clean. Food was a bit pricey for what you got. FYI, about an hour later I did get a little upset stomach. This is why my food review is what it is.

Delicious. If you like exploring intense, diverse flavor and out-of-the-norm ingredient compilations, I think you would like this place. And how often can you visit a restaurant where there is something for everybody? There are hearty, protein- and fat-filled dishes as well as veggie or vegan items on the menu. Praise God; living 2 hours away, we were simply here for the day for a class my husband was attending and we happened upon this place. If you like good food, their's will quite likely please your palate!

So expensive for your portion you receive. Does not fill you up if you need a meal. You are sitting on chairs that look like they belong in the subway of New York. Service wasn’t horrible. Gave me fast food vibes.

The food was really fresh and tasty. I had the bad mutha clucka chicken sandwich and it was so spicy and hot, it was perfect. I thought the prices were a little high until I actually got my food. Afterwards though, I can honestly say it was well worth it. It was all freshly prepared and extremely filling. I bought a homemade cookie there that felt like it weighed a pound and it was the best cookie ever. There was even a fried Oreo in the middle. I will definitely eat here again when I come back that way.

This is our 2nd time here. I had the Mac attack burger and it is in my top 3 burgers of all time. Everything else we had, Brussels, fried cheese curds, tacos and chicken and waffles were incredible. I would drive 2 hours to eat here. Best part of all of it is the service, whoever runs this place should be nominated for a noble prize. The food looked so good we forgot to take pics so here are pics of our smiling happy faces after our meal.
