Gave me the completely wrong order. Instead of lobster rolls, I got fish and hush puppies.

Food was great, but the portions seem to get smaller every year. Enjoyed eating out for a change. Our Grand Daughter lives the popcorn shrimp . We visited again today (Jan 14th). The food was great, but the service was excellent. Donna & Maddie made the visit wonderful. The inside looked new & clean, including the Military table. Thanks for a great visit. Visited again (9-3-24) & the service was great. Restaurant was clean & smelled good.

Food was hot and good. One of the ladies was nice other was kind of snippy.

If I could give it no stars I would , they were outta of everything the little punk at the window was so high he couldn't do a damn thing right ! I wouldn't waste my money or time stopping here .

Rarely have I receive poorly cooked food - 20+ year customer. Love their sweet tea; when eating with others I take advantage of gallon purchase. Prices are not bad. Funny, how the fish place advertises so much chicken. NEVER, have I had any problem with the staff nor observed any. Fish is always hot but veggies sometimes cold. Yes, stop in, stay awake and enjoy. For me the dinning area is lacking in personality; I go to eat so I win!😀

The chicken was great, but only two very little pieces and it cost 5.00 it was not worth it I will not go back.

I love Captain D's always have. Love the fish. The lady who waited on me was very kind. I live about 60 miles from the closest Captain' D and it's was raining she waited on us and the food came out was delicious. She smiled all the time we were there.

We arrived at this establishment pretty late.Like practically right at closing time as we were traveling between jacksonville and tampa. We ordered that new fish sandwich that they had a spicy fried fish sandwich. It was absolutely delicious.Hot, crispy was absolutely delicious.I would highly recommend it to anyone. Even though it was right at closing time , we were served with Smiles and enthusiasm. and served quickly.

This is the most disgusting restaurant I've ever entered. The food was nasty, the restaurant was dirty, and the staff was even worse!

More breading than fish. Fish had a yukky black texture underneath the white parts. Turned my tummy. I'm picky

It was the bomb. I love that recipe! And the service was great Don't know her name but the black lady with glasses was great as well. She is so nice and helpful and friendly. The way that fish is cooked is sooooo good. Best fast food fish out there IMHO. Can't wait to go again

Everyone was busy but not once did they show attitudes toward any customers nor their fellow staff. They were amazing.

Captain D’s has some great healthy choices. Their broiled fish, steamed broccoli and baked potato is always good.

I would give ZERO stars if I could. I went to grab up a quick bite to eat as I was getting things done to go out of town. I opened the box when I got home, about a 15 minute drive, and immediately was turned off by the presentation of this sandwich. I tried to call the store 4 times as I did things that had to be done before I could leave. I finally was able to go back to the store where a nice young lady understood why I wanted my money back. When the manager got up to the counter she refused to give me my money back, or a fresh sandwich because 1st it had been over 3 hours since I had been there. 2nd because she claimed I hadn't even gotten the sandwich there that day, even though I presented them with a receipt. I told her I wasn't going to be called a liar. Why in the world would I make up getting some nasty looking sandwich from them? Clearly I had not eaten the item, I didn't even touch it to know there was no tarter sauce on it. The manager was very slick mouthed with me when I asked for the following information: the district managers name and number, and her name. She threw the receipt back at me said the number was on there to call (but they don't answer the phone at all). When I asked for her name she asked me what was my name, when I refused to give her my name, she said "That's what my name is too." No name badges, no owner ship of serving garbage to customers. I have never seen such horrible customer service skills in all of my days. The disposition of the management clearly they run the streets in their off time so customers be forewarned.

I stop by here 2 weeks ago I have not visited a Captain D's since the 90s and this was so good. Food was hot and fresh.

Perfect. Hot fries perfect puppies extra crunchies with the fish. Great experience for a drive thru. Great job crew

I pulled in around 3 o'clock on Sunday. On the sign it says the only side item that was an upcharge was the baked potato. Boy, is the sign wrong as they upcharged for each side item. I got the two seafood platters and ended up paying $40 dollars. When I asked about the upcharges I was told it didn't matter what the sign says that's how it was rang up! Poor customer service. Also, as I pulled away I realized she forgot the drinks. I had to go back in. Finally we could eat. Unimpressed is an understatement. Everything was extremely greasy or undercooked.. Only put one star because I had no choice for less. Do better Captain Ds. What a disappointment I could have gone to a buffet and been happier. I recommend going to any other Captain Ds then Starke Florida.

THE MANAGEMENT IS AWESOME. THE STAFF ARE AMAZING. MY NEPHEW AND I ALWAYS TRAVEL FROM GAINESVILLE STARKE OR WHEN I'M COMING FROM MY DOCTOR APPOINTMENTS IT IS A DEFINITE STOP.!!!!. WE ARE HOOKED. WE GOTTA HAVE IT. THANK Y'ALL SO MUCH. WE LOVE YOU ALL.

Stingy as heck with the honey mustard lol I remember asking for honey mustard and I still didn’t get any, always check your bag folks. It’s a cool place though the inside is very authentic I like it looks clean and tidy. The fish is great the sweets are high priced as always. The fries are good definitely beats Burger King fries, I highly recommend this place to seafood lovers

Stopped by on Sunday around lunch time. The staff was very friendly and professional. The food was cooked perfectly and tasted great. Overall it was a better that expected experience all the way around. Kudos to the management and staff at this Starke location!

I ordered catfish dinner with Cole slaw and fried okra. Okra was Luke warm and too salty to eat. Cole slaw was awful too much mayo. The catfish were very good. I won't be going back. $14 for an unedible lunch.

The Lady Manager was Fantastic!!! About 6 months ago..or so..was the last time we were there..and Honestly..it took forever to get out order..and then when got the food home..it was cold...and it only takes about 8-10 minutes for us to get home. Not this time..Food was still Hit and tasted very good.

Bravo to Captain D's (Starke) Myra the Manager and her staff for running a perfectly clean resturant with a perfectly cooked meal! Her staff was not only kind but continuously checked on me to see if I needed anything, they all did a great job!!! After hearing so many complaints on other Resturants I had to give a high five 10* where it's due.... Thank you again. ;)

Food has too much breading and greasy. Had stuffed crab which was burnt. The employee's need additional training on food preparation before serving. Enough grease to fry another basket of fries.

The food was pretty good, honestly better than I thought it was going to be. I ordered the fish and shrimp. It was cooked good but just a little to salty. I also good a slice of cheesecake it tasted good, more like a store brought cheesecake. But overall not bad for fast food seafood. The service was also really great I liked how the staff served the customer's and brought the food to the table. The cashier was very nice as well.

Not crowded at the time of my visit. Prices are a bit more. Service was very good. Clean surroundings with genial staff. Food tasty and good enough.

Want to give Mrs.Myra from Captain Ds a shout out. She went out and Beyond to fix a mistake. Great customer Service and really nice. Will be coming back soon.

My experience here was awesome! I received 5 star restaurant service. The Manager Myra is absolutely a GREAT investment to the company, she’s very friendly and polite. What a waste of money, fish overcooked, chicken overcooked, cole slaw bland no flavor, hush puppies doughy and nasty. Only thing I can say nice was workers are friendly!

Absolutely horrible! Sat in the drive thru line 24 minutes, 18 of those actually at the speaker before I drove off to eat at Krystal's. Which was great by the way.

Verrrry expensive fish and fries only 2 pieces almost 10.00. I've fell twice in store to that bench at entry. Could use a good cleaning. Girl was friendly but very over priced. Would fed a kid with what I bought. U need to also do senior meals and coupons.

I will never go back. Manager was rude to me in the drive through, I ordered 2 items, she then yelled the total out, I said ma'am I'm not done ordering and she yelled I am only taking one order at a time. Long story short, District manager was very nice, but did absolutely nothing, straight up said, I heard what she said, I was standing here, but I only have 3 employees, so Ican'ttake the chanceof losingher. I get that, but you also just lost another customer!

Absolute worst.40 minutes to get my food, the service was horiffic ,kitchen staff and wait staff were more concerned about talking with each other than trying to help the customers .very disappointed

The food wasn't the best. I got a big fish the bun fell apart I got cheese on it they just put on the fish and it didn't melt at all.

They were out of everything I wanted to order. The food I did get was disgusting. The lady at the drive-thru was very rude. I don't think I'll ever go back there again.

The food is good, but service is unacceptable. I know everywhere is short staffed, but the lobby is rarely open, have to use the drive-thru, so we order online. The last 3 visits they have been out of the sides we wanted, this time because we ordered online, I was told I had to call Corporate office for a refund on the items they didn't have, they couldn't do anything about it. After a 45 minute wait in the parking lot on my online order, when we look thru our bags our fish and shrimp dinner was missing the fish and the condiments were wrong. We are done with Starke Captain D's, never again !!!!!!!

Oh my goodness Felicia and Tanner are the sweetest there was a missing item with my order and they went above and beyond by replacing the whole meal. And the food was hot and yummy! The stuffed crab is literally better than cedar river next door. We will definitely be back!

The Captian D's in Starke is in dire need of a renovation. However, last time we were there the employees were very nice and the food was great. But that is not consistent.

Donna and Myra were absolutely flawless at making sure our family was well taken care of and our large order was out fast. The service was amazing. The food was served hot and everything was correct and delicious. I definitely see me taking my family again when we are back in town and hope to see the ladies again. The cooks were quick with cooking our meal and our plates were made perfectly.

Good food and service but kinda pricey

If your ever in Starke, FL make sure you stop by and visit Captain Ds off of 301. This place has great fresh food and people like Donna, Myra, and Sheneka make you feel right at home every time we walk through the door. We're always amazed at how fresh the food is every single time. Highly Recommend this restaurant to anyone!

I wish I had gotten the name of the lady that helped me, she was absolutely fantastic! I ordered the family feast, and even though I had to pull up to wait, it was well worth it!!

I had a bad experience in the last few months but I always give a second chance. Well to my disappointment it was really bad yet again. The food quality is way down so much that I will never eat here again. My fish was so bad the country style was so nasty. The fish was either old, rotten or under cooked the fish color was really bad. I'm talking yellowish to brownish not the old white flaky fish captain D's is known for. The batter fish was not any better. Same color the fish outside was dark brown and black from way over cooked or not changed the fryer oil in months. We live 20min away from this location and to find this out when we are home is very very disappointed in the service and quality of this captain D's. We spent over 40.00 for a nice meal to have to turn it down so down we decided to feed it to the dogs they didn't touch it either if that doesn't say anything I don't know what will. This has put a bad taste in our mouth to not even want to try any other location. When you asked for 15.00 an hour but get 5.00 service and quality asking for 5 star quality but get 1 star says it all.

SURPRISINGLY GREAT!!! Some of you may question this review - give it a chance. The woman who greeted us and took our order was EXCELLENT. She gave us good information on the menu we were unfamiliar with and was patient. Her customer service skills were on point. We ordered a blackened whitefish meal with a shrimp skewer, 36 fried shrimp, and six hush puppies. The food was good. No complaints. It’s not world class but it was under $35 for all that food! My kids loves the shrimp and I felt that I had something moderately not unhealthy. Plenty of parking and seating makes eating here easy. I understand (not first hand) the bathrooms were not clean. I recommend at least giving this a chance.

Absolutely disgusting! I was on the toilet for 2 hours after eating there. I wouldn't feed that food to my dog

Good old Capt d I was rather disappointed this time they didn't have a lot of stuff and then they had stuff and you know or it wasn't ready yet they weren't prepared for their dinner crowd to start coming in at 4:30 the food made me nauseous made me very sick when I used to use the restroom the soap dispenser was broken had no soap in it no soap on the counter to wash your hands and the only toilet in the men's room which is the only thing in the men's room would not flush it was broken so I'm going to have to give Captain D's a real low rate in here on this one food made me sick no toilet that works no working soap dispenser or soap on the counter to wash your hands afraid I have to take away three
