My husband and I love cattleman's and have gone about once a year for a few years now. The food quality is usually good, but this last time we went (29 AUG) I was shocked at how horrible their ribs came out. I've ordered ribs many times and they always come out perfect, falling off of the bone. This time they were overcooked and it was a struggle to get the meat off of the bone, and it was so burnt that it felt like it didn't have much meat. For how pricey cattleman's is, I was disappointed. I still love their bottomless sides, but I will likely take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic steakhouse in a beautiful setting! The NY Strip was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. Loved the baked potato and that they had 3 different ways I could add jalapeños to it. Opted for fresh diced jalapeños & enjoyed cranking up the heat alongside a little butter, bacon & chives. Friendly service in a nicely decorated dining room also made for a fantastic experience! Looking forward to returning whenever I’m in El Paso!

Came here for a celebratory dinner on a Friday night. They don't accept reservations, so suggested arriving shortly before opening at 5pm for a party of 20. This was good advice as we were immediately seated at a large table upon opening. There's an inside lobby which was opened before the restaurant actually opened. The restaurant is massive with multiple sitting areas and many large tables. In the lobby, there's a glass case showcasing the various cuts of steaks and their respective sizes. In addition to the steaks, they do salmon and some BBQ options. Prior to the meal, we started off with some drinks and some bread. For the meals, we ordered many different cuts from the Ribeye, Filet Mignon, T-Bone, New York Strip, Top Sirloin. In addition to the steaks, we did have 1 order of the Beef Ribs. With all the steaks, they come with coleslaw and beans. Since we had a large party, they just brought out several large bowls of each. Service was extremely fast, friendly, and efficient. They had multiple staff members constantly bringing food and drinks to the table and making sure we didn't need anything else. Their teamwork was impressive in taking care of a party of 20. They did a great job of answering many questions related to the menu and options. All orders were brought out together in about 15 minutes. Each steak was cooked perfectly as ordered. They got every order right from the wellness to any additional toppings ordered. I wanted to try some of their desserts and ice cream sodas, but was too full from the steaks. Afterwards, it was nice to walk around the grounds to see the animals and sights. This is a must visit if you're in the El Paso area. I look forward to my next trip.

Overpriced. I've had better steaks at Sizzler, Bonanza, or Ponderosa. If you want a high caliber beef dinner in the El Paso or Las Cruces area, try the Cattle Baron that serves aged steaks & prime rib. Everything served was very pedestrian. The baked potato should have been coated with olive oil & rock salt. Instead of a mushy roll they should offer Texas Toast. Given the square footage here, a self serve salad bar should be an option. The only way this place pulls people in is because of it's proximity to I-10. I've patronized steak houses across the country & Cattleman's is bottom of the barrel. I'm a medical sales rep that hosts educational dinner programs for Doctors at high end steakhouses. Perhaps my expectations were too high based on steak dinners at Ruth's Chris or Morton's. For a family on a budget, this place is a cut above hamburgers, although Outback or Longhorn is a better value.

I went for my birthday dinner and i had a horrible expirience with the staff. We had a total of 10 people in our party. When the first 3 people arrived (including myself) we tried to put our name down while the rest of the party arived. The Restaurant was more than half empty with A LOT of empty tables. The person told us we couldn't get a table while the rest of our party arrived (when clearly there was again A LOT of empty tables). Then we asked if they could put the birthday cake in one of theyre refrigerators so it would not melt. The person in the front again rudly said no. Once our full party got there they seated us. Once we were seated the waiter came and started to take our drink order but since we had been waiting for a long time we all knew what we wanted. We all told the waiter we were ready to order and he just ignored us. So we all though he didnt hear us so we again told him we were ready to order our food not only our drinks, and at that point he just responded "im not taking your order yet, just the drinks." I have been to other places where if the people are ready to order food not only drinks they take the full order. The food came out in a timely manner and it was good but i will think twice before going again here. The drive is far, and then made to wait when there is so many empty tables, and then to be talked to like that by the staff. I remember this place being very diffrent but I am starting to see why half the restaurant was empty on a saturday evening.

Cattleman’s Steakhouse at Indian Cliffs Ranch is a fantastic destination for a celebratory meal, and we had the perfect experience there for my dad's birthday. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance set the tone for a memorable evening, with rustic decor that complements the beautiful ranch setting. The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the steaks. Each cut was cooked to perfection, showcasing the rich flavors and tenderness that only high-quality beef can offer. Service was exceptional, especially given our large party. The staff was attentive and friendly, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that we had everything we needed without any hiccups. They handled our orders with ease and made sure that every detail was taken care of, allowing us to focus on enjoying the celebration. Overall, Cattleman’s Steakhouse provided an unforgettable experience filled with delicious food and impeccable service. It was the ideal setting for a family gathering, and my dad's birthday was truly special thanks to this wonderful restaurant. Cattleman’s has been our family tradition for as long as I can remember, and it’s always been my go-to spot for special occasions. Unfortunately, our visit on Saturday, 08/10/2024, was far from the exceptional experience we’ve come to expect. The service was lacking, especially given the high prices, and the burger I ordered was disappointing—the meat was flavorless and the bread stale. To make matters worse, we saw a roach entering the restaurant as we walked in. Also we found a bug in our bread and waitress basically brushed it off like it happens all the time. We got no apology. This was truly unsettling and added to the overall poor experience. I hope this feedback prompts some much-needed improvements.

Been coming to cattleman's since 1981.. Used to be very good. I understand post covid, everything went up. But Jesus, $60 for a steak? Ok no problem. But the quality of the meat and taste have gone also. The steak wasn't hot. It tasted bland and the steak fries were barely warm. The $6 corn on the cob was mushy and the coleslaw smelled like dirty feet. The service was great. Our waiter, was running around like a chicken without its head. He did great, but they really need to hire more waiters. I'm sad because this place is iconic but the food has taken a deep dive. I'll still be back but I'd rather go to Great American on Yarbrough.. They're steaks are better seasoned and their bread is amazing. Don't let my opinion stop you from heading to cattleman's. You should form your own opinion.

I’ve always gone to cattlemen’s with my family and have never had any problems, however, this time I decided to go with my boyfriend and Yvette or Evette however her name is and some other girl with pigtails helping her with drinks were being very disrespectful and rude to me, I would say thank you and they wouldn’t even say your welcome and not only that but when asking my boyfriend if he wanted a refill they would treat him with respect and address him as sir they would even ask if he wanted a refill but with me they would just go up to the table and give it to me and that was it they wouldn’t address me and when I would say thank you she just walked away and this happened every single time she got me a refill. I saved money so my boyfriend and I could have a good dinner that I could pay for and instead I got treated with disrespect for no reason. Not only that but we hardly got checked on compared to other tables around us but the experience made me not feel welcomed at all. Very disappointing considering how expensive cattlemen’s is.

Be sure to take some extras, they give the kids a hot dog each. I've been here before for company lunches I never knew about the movies that were shot there, the guy that owns it has a lot more land around there than it seems. Take a trip during the day and ask for the tour. They'll probably take you in the tractor or you can ask if you can drive around make sure you take a truck or SUV that can handle a dirt trail.

The best part is that after you finish eating you can go burn off that giant steak that you just had by visiting their small zoo which is behind the restaurant. We had fun walking along and interacting with the animals. We made good friends with 2 super friendly horses. Would definitely recommend and it is worth the drive which is actually pretty scenic if you do it before it gets dark!
