Hubby and I are from Maryland and grew up close to Jimmy's Seafood. We drove an hour and a half to eat here and it did not disappoint. Portions were awesome, what we ordered was cooked perfectly, the taste was fantastic, and I ended up taking half of my food home to eat for lunch 2 days later. We will definitely make the drive to eat here again.

Great food and atmosphere, would highly recommend!

I place, staff and the food was amazing. A little skeptical at first. I'm glad they proved me wrong. The crabby pretzels was awesome. The seafood bowl was great as well. The next time I'm here will be pictures. You have to try this place.

The atmosphere was great. I would not recommend the bisque it was too thick.i would recommend the seafood biwel. Everything was ok. Service was amazing 🤩

Being from MD I had to check this place out. Come here and you will not be disappointed!! Totally legit authentic MD crab cakes! Don’t be fooled by the others in Florida. This place has a great Baltimore vibe the some Ravens and O’s stuff on the walls. This place is about an hour east of Tampa but definitely worth the drive for me. I’ll definitely be back!! 🦀🦀

A wonderful time each visit. The food is amazing and the portions are to my liking and I am a big boy and always leave full. They are always welcoming and don't mind you taking the time to enjoy your meal and visit with family and friends. The brisket quesadilla is my personal favorite, but the tacos and seafood options are abundant and delicious to my family that eats seafood.

No beer or alcohol of any kind!? Somebody is slacking. No rice available, replaced with lettuce, so disappointing. Blackened seafood and grouper was too salty and the seafood did not taste fresh at all. The bisque was very good, the smoked wings were good with the old bay hot sauce. The fries were way too much, both the portion and the price. Wish I would have planned this out better and ordered it as a side instead of spending $17. The whole bill was over $90 with a 15% tip added. I won't go again, I think I would have enjoyed taco Bell or MacDonalds just as well and save the 45 minute drive as well as money.

Stopped in for lunch. I couldn't decide so I ordered 2 apps. The fried ribs were presented well with sauce on top. Very tender, but something was off with the taste. Maybe they were reheats? The wings were very good. Service and atmosphere were outstanding. Will go back.

This place is overpriced and underwhelming. The service is great. Food is meh. And the tables are sticky. Not sure if it's from the cleaning chemicals reacting to the wood varnish. But it's not pleasant

Authentic Maryland crab cakes here in SWFL. I lived 10 minutes from Jimmy's Seafood in Baltimore, nice to see one of the boys open a restaurant down here!

Stopped in on our way across the state. Native Marylander who wanted to check it out. CLEAN place with a good variety on the menu. Had the soft shell and shrimp sandwich which was large but a bit too .uch fried food. Loved the Maryland ambiance. Would stop again.

Amazing jumbo lump Maryland crab cake (not Maryland style but Maryland) but I waited about a half hour after ordering for it to arrive to the table, It was worth the wait and great atmosphere to take in while you waited!

The Grouper Sandwich was delicious! It came with coleslaw and homemade chips!!

The food is delicious, the service is great and it’s a great set up. Love everything about this place (except the collard greens)

The staff here are the only saving grace. They're very welcoming, knowledgeable of the menu, and friendly. Soggy crab cake served with very overripe tomatoes. The "chips" had that old oil aftertaste. The calamari, the first few bites were ok but they were super greasy. Turn your fryers up ffs. Room temp coleslaw. I asked for lemon and cocktail sauce and my lemons were going bad-slimy. The cocktail sauce was pretty bad. The dishes could be really good-they're very appetizing on paper, but the cooking is bad enough to ruin them and there's definitely some issues with freshness. It was also kinda warm in there. $67+tip was wayyyy overpriced for the quality.

Had a very nice lunch here today consisting of a Mahi taco, Shrimp taco, crabby fries and coleslaw. I thought both tacos were very good, with the shrimp being just slightly better to me. Crabby fries were wel cooked and the crab dip/sauce was tasty. Aside from that the staff was very polite and friendly.

Very good seafood bowl, the combination was really good with the blackened seafood & the mango pico de Gallo. Beautiful lady waited on me & was very polite & nice!

Amazing food, friendly service. I had the soft shell shrimp po-boy and it was amazing my only complaint is the place is the place was hot. and a few fans would have been nice. As soon as we eat we couldn’t wait to get to the car and turn the A/C on.

Food is always good but they HAVE do something about their AC! It’s always uncomfortably hot in the dining area. Makes for a bad experience. You forget the food is good when all you think about is how hot it is.

I got the seafood bowl with a Coke, amazing! Seafood was cooked to perfection. The strawberry shortcake was delicious. Cannot wait to be back.

First time at Charm City, and it was delicious. Met my niece for lunch, I had the Crabby Chicken, the chicken was tender and juicy and the sauce was delicious. Can be a bit pricey but you get large portion of food. The staff continually walks around to see how things are. Very impressed can't wait to go back again.

After a pretty hot morning of golfing, we worked up a serious hunger. Glad we found this place! I had the Super Grouper sammich topped with their crabby sauce (think like a supreme sauce with crab meat). Blackened grouper was perfect! The crabby fries on the side are a meal on their own! She had the crabby chicken and our friends also had a fried super group and mahi tacos All of the food is amazing. Can't wait to go back to try more from the menu. The BBQ smells amazing, can only imagine how good it is too! Friendly staff, clean location.. Nice job and thank you!

Food is always fresh and hot. Never had a bad meal and we've been going for over a year, maybe 2. Cashier girls are fun, friendly and knowledgeable. Food runners are as well. It's a small family owned place that serves really good food. Highly recommend!!

Wow! Everything is absolutely amazing. Was recently introduced to this restaurant and will absolutely be back. Some things may look a little on the pricey side but the quality and portions are worth it! Calamari and crab cakes were great and some of the best collard greens I've had.

The Good: Crabby pretzels were really good & crab bites. The sweet tea was good as well. The seafood bowl wasn't bad, it was brought out cold, I was able to eat it; however It would have taste better if it was hot and seemed. The staff is extremely nice ans so was the manager. The Bad: Strawbeerry shortcake was too wet, in order to enjoy it you had to it fast since it was super soggy. The Ugly: Super Grouper sandwich which had too much cream cheese the fish didn't taste well cooked. The crab mac n chesse had a very weird taste to eat, we could not eat it. The greens tasted like they were cooked with crab meat and vinegar and left a weird taste in my mouth.

Delicious crab cakes Maryland style, great service and atmosphere. Will definitely come back when driving by this area.

Charm city is a great stop on the way to Eagle lake. It’s easy to locate and has a large parking lot. We’ve dined in and had take out a few times and it’s always delicious. We’ve tried a little of everything. Surprisingly, my favorite is the honey wings! They’re so scrumptious. The bathrooms are well kept and drink area well stocked. There is a drive through which I had a strange experience the one time I attempted to use it, someone decided to park there and it’s one way in and out so it was very uncomfortable. With that in mind, I’m not sure if the drive through is actually manned or how attentive the staff is to the drive through, this may be some feedback to consider as not everyone is able to get out of the vehicle. This does not impact my personal review as I normally just go inside and the staff is great.

Food is great but someone needs to run to the Dollar Store ASAP and get some ketchup. No ketchup in restaurant and they give you 3 packets. 😭

We travel 30 minutes to enjoy their delicious shrimp tacos. The first encounter was a food truck rally in Plant City. Now, they have their restaurant. Love this place.

Cute place. Plenty of parking. I ordered Lobster & Crab Grilled Cheese, BBQ fries, BBQ Beans. I'll begin with grilled cheese, at a first glanced I was taken back at the size for the price of $20 and the grease. Bread was nothing spectacular. The actual sandwich had a bit of lobster and crab and gouda cheese, but again, it was definitely not worth the money. I ended up eating half and offered the second half to my 10-year-old. He took a bite, and he refused to eat the rest, so that should give you an indication of taste. BBQ fries, where actually good. They were homemade and loaded with meat, cheese, onions, and jalapeños. Pricing $6 was a good value The BBQ beans were average, nothing to rave. This is definitely a try once type of restaurant. I wouldn't be running back to it anytime soon.

We stopped while passing through, and i was impressed with the food. Best fish and chips I've ever had. Delicious soft pretzel (I'm a Philly native, so we are fussy about our pretzels😁), the wings and fries were all delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.

Great experience, as usual. They dont sell giftcards in the restaurant but do online, FYI. Food is outstanding! Shrimp tacos are delicious and feta fries have the perfect amount of sauce sland feta on them. Coleslaw is creamy and cold! Hubby said the chicken was delicious tonight, the mustard added a great taste!

Super grouper sandwich was very good. Sat outside where it's more quiet.

Arrived around 11:35. No line ordered the crabby fries & the seafood bowl. Seafood bowl contained mostly rice with a couple scallops & shrimp.It arrived with a topping of sour cream sauce mixture. The contents were not warm & I returned it. I was told that the sauce mixture makes it cool and that is the way it’s meant to be It should be explained in the description & perhaps listed under salads Not sure why they call the crabby fries They arrived a good 15 minutes after we were served our main dishes. One would expect for $16 that there would be crab on top of the french fries. However, it’s a mixture of a sour cream based topping with a few shreds of canned crab very very very limited crab and again it looks like it was canned shredded crab overall very very disappointed would not go back over priced and underwhelmed.

It is super delicious my 6 year old loves it I love it as well the mac and cheese is amazing I think the best restaurant mac and cheese I've ever had. The other entrees are super good as well

Our order was incorrect. We asked for the coleslaw to correct the order but never received it. Staff didn't seem to care.

Great food and service and the who's who of Bartow at lunch. You got to try the banana puding milk shake it is world class flavor. Thank you everything was great.

Try this place out tonight look really good get to the house. And one of our greek bowls is so salty it's unedible. So I call up there and explain the situation. Expecting that I can bring them the one I have, So they don't think I'm getting over on them. And then give me another and that's what it sounds like over the phone. I walk up to the counter to return the bowl assuming we would just swap and I will go on my way considering I had already called. So she takes to bowl to a guy who is cooking and explains the situation! She then comes back with the bowl and says there is nothing they can do! Nope, I don't flip out or cuss nobody. I hurry up and leave the store and call And ask to speak with the manager And then the same lady who I just dealt with ask who is this? So I reply, does it matter? Can I speak with the manager? Then she takes the phone to the same guy who's cooking ( Who i'm assuming put all the salt on there)and says he's the manager. Needless to say I got nowhere So I basically got robbed for fifteen dollars and whatever gas it takes two trips up to their Restaurant. The moral of the story is apparently inflation does not apply to salt and And their customer service is equivalent to the urnal at your local shady gas station

Best hollandaise ever. While if egg could have been cooked but yolk was runny.

This place is fantastic. A very friendly place. Food amazing,and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. A fun family place to go.

I came in today to buy a 150$ gift card . The manager said they don’t have gift cards . They were on back order. I said ok can you make a written gift receipt , he said no and gave every excuse for not doing it . Charm city must be making a lot of money . They don’t need loyal customers!! Merry Christmas.

The food was very good and very pricey, in my opinion. You will love it if you can afford it.

Very good counter service restaurant. The quality and taste of the food was superb. It was far for us, but I would like to go back and try other dishes. It was chilly inside, but the decor was barn like or smokehouse like and nice

You order food from the counter before sitting. Calamari was okay, I was able to eat about 4 pieces before I got tired of the taste mixed with the deep fried oil. Crabby Mac & Cheese was good, it was the only saving grace we had. My date said that the grilled shrimp was extra salty, but for me it felt like it had no seasoning, even though the old bay seasoning is clearly seen. They replaced the rice with lettuce since they ran out of rice, lettuce tasted like its been out all day inside a ziplock bag. Grilled cheese brisket was dry, the toast hardly tasted like it had any butter on it. Potato chips were okay, very lightly seasoned. Baked beans didn't have enough barbeque sauce on it. Overall not worth the $60+ we spent for 2. I'll probably come back one more time to try ice cream and another appetizer.

Last time the food was great. Crab cakes were not done all the way or missing something. Everything else was great.

I am a diabetic so i try to avoid rice. They are so nice when i order the seafood bowl on a bed of greens rather than rice. Their greens are excellent! All of the food is delicious! My family loves to eat here! It is clean and the staff goes out of their way to make sure you enjoy your meal.I highly recommend Charm City.

We live locally and this was our first time here and will not be the last. All the staff was very friendly and kind. The food was out of this world amazing. We regret not coming here sooner. Thank you crew at Charm City, this is literally the best to eat in Bartow

I'm originally from Maryland and I know and miss the original Maryland style crab cake. I was so hoping that this was going to be the place. Unfortunately, not. The owners are from Baltimore so I figured they had to know how to make a real crab cake. Not a lick of Old Bay seasoning. That's what makes the crab cake. Great lump crab meat but a tasteless crab cake. Fries had a light dusting of Old Bay. Although the staff were very nice. We also got the shrimp which were a nice size but again they were bland. Our meal was $70 for 2, and not worth that price.

This is some of the best food around, you definitely need to try this.

What a great spot, everything was perfect. The environment, the food, the service. Cannot recommend enough. The fried ribs are my favorite but having tried most of the menu items it’s a hard pick to say just 1 thing is the best. 100/10

The food was delicious an atmosphere the only complaint I have is it there are no menus on the table other than that we will definitely be back we will just Google the menu before we go not everybody can stand for long periods at a time to look at the menu especially with somebody with a health issue and my husband had a question do y'all use Publix brand ice cream 🍦

I had the crab grilled cheese, and my husband had the seafood po'boy. Both were tasty, but the fries are by far the star in every dish. I can say the fried seafood is good. I haven't tried blackened but will next time.

The crab cakes are amazing but please consider allowing customers to substitute a salad for the sides. Also... you probably should update your menu on the website. The double crabcakes have gone from $32 to $42 & single has gone from $16 to $23. Quite a hike. 3 crabcakes plus a Greek salad today came to $86 + tip = $100! Very, very good but geezzz.

Brought 16 old bay and honey smoked wings. Was only given 14. Wings were very bland. Smoke flavor was there but as always, very inconsistent on the flavor profile. I had to add my own seasoning. called management and they stated there is nothing they can do because I ate it. It being the food. I didn't eat the two that wasn't given to me? They did offer 20% off on the next visit though. Not sure I'm going to give them a second chance on the wings.

Wow! Every time I go to Charm City I think they can’t out do their amazing menu and they step up there game. Their specials for brisket chilly, to jambalaya, to Buffalo chicken egg rolls are all amazing. Atmosphere is so welcoming we didn’t even know they closed and just were enjoying the food and fellowship (sorry about that)! If you are looking for BBQ with a seafood flare head to Charm City. Oh yeah shrimp tacos were absolutely delicious!

I didn't know that Maryland was famous for bbq but that's the specialty here. I'd ask for more sauce as they don't come with a lot. The BBQ sauce is really sweet. The portions are huge. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It comes with 2 sides. The sides are really the star of the show. The Mac and cheese was the best I've ever had. Good Cole slaw. The chips are home made potato chips and looked great. All of my companions food looked great. There's Wi-Fi but you'll need to ask for the password. The fresh brewed Ice Tea was top notch. Only one location, but I could see this place becoming a franchise. 12 bucks get you a sandwich and 2 sides. They do that annoying tip thing when you pay at the cashier before you get your food. I'd say to tip though as the staff brings out your food and are very helpful and attentive.

Been there many times and love all the different foods that are on their menu. Never had a bad meal. People might think their prices are a little high, but go to other restaurants and you find different for the same food.

Cute place with amazing food and friendly staff. Price was right on point with the don't if food you get. We ordered the greek fries for an appetizer, and I had the BBQ bowl, and my husband had the wings. So much food we couldn't eat it all and had left overs the next night. We'll certainly go back

My first trip here....Love the place!! I had the Grilled Chicken Sammich and Fries. Other folks with me had BBQ & Seafood. It was all excellent. We will be back :)

I went to charm City over the weekend and let me tell you they have the best crab cakes I've had outside of Maryland! Very clean and friendly restaurant I highly recommend going.

Great homage to Maryland seafood all the way down south. The crab cakes are not pounded with filler, as most places do- thanks for that. Very good BBQ! Need to get some pit beef on the menu;)

They have great food in very generous portions. The barbecue bowl was amazing. T All other crabcakes pale in comparison to their Maryland style bluecrabcakes. The staff are always friendly and helpful too. Thank you for such a great dining experience. ❤
