Friendly knowledgeable staff, food taste amazing, little on pricy side, but will return.

This place is SO GOOD!!! Our favorite is the chicken ciabatta sandwich with extra haze sauce for the fries, holy moly is it good. So glad this place opened up here, we needed it!

Everything here is fantastic. The way that they take orders and pay is unusual. But, everything is great.

We have eaten here several times and it is always delicious! We almost always try the perogies special. The loaded perogies last night were amazing as usual! And I love their drinks. They have fun, fresh mixed drink options. We have tried several of their signature cocktails and have enjoyed them all. The atmosphere is fun and bright, and when not too hot, we love the outside seating options. It's such a cool space. They added a conex box to the front of the building and added windows. It provides a cool vibe to additional outside seating. There is even a hammock in there. We have taken visiting friends and family there as well and so far everyone has enjoyed it. Another great part is, because it is not on the island, you don't have the extra island traffic, and often, you run into friends and neighbors when we are there. They can be busy some evenings but we have found they most people like to eat early. If you go by around 7:30pm or especially 8pm, it will not be busy at all.

We LOVE coastal haze! The food is absolutely amazing and portions are huge. Local family owned. The restaurant is always extremely clean and everyone is so friendly! Only a few minutes off the island with a beautiful outside dining area.

Great roadside pub grub. It doesn't stand out so pay attention if you are looking for it. The ordering process was a little confusing but we figured it out. The Drip Burger was a win.

Good food with a relaxing atmosphere. I had the house burger " drip burger" and it was good. Fries were good as well. On the high end of what I would expect to pay for a burger but it was good. My friend got the steak and cheese and it was massive. He enjoyed it.

Fantastic food ! The only thing we thought was weird is that you stand in line and order instead of having a waitress. I highly recommend them if you want great food and drinks

We ate here while staying in Emerald Isle. Definitely the best food we had all week!! Everything we had was AMAZING and unique. The staff was very friendly and helpful with food allergies. They had GF options and just really tasty food, different than what I would have at home.

Definitely a new fav eatery destination! Drip Burger with Haze Sauce was very excellent! Wifey had the Coastal Ciabatta Chicken which she said was delicious. Large portions! Atmosphere was nice and relaxed.

We were all but turned away from another local restaurant down the road and decided to try Coastal Haze for the first time as a party of 20. The staff was wonderful and really made up for the disappointment from the other restaurant. Food was great and we will definitely be back! Thanks for accommodating us Coastal Haze!

First time there. Figured out the ordering system--worked fine. Food was excellent. The non-traditional steak and cheese was not only delicious, but huge--took home half of it for another meal. The Drip burger was also excellent as was the thin cut steak fries (more than enough for two people). Nothing great about the loaded perogies. Negatives: we arrived at 5:30 mid-week and it took 45 minutes to get the food--by the time we left, they were telling people an hour wait for food. For two people, was $80 including tip, perogies, steak and cheese, Drip burger, and two beers. Staff was very friendly. Yes, I recommend it and will go back again.

We had a fantastic experience at Coastal Haze for dinner! Definitely will be a place we visit again and again. We got the steak banh mi sandwich, chicken pita sandwich, buffalo wings, and fries. Everything was delicious... the pita was homemade y'all! The Haze sauce was so yummy. The fries were crispy and fresh! The restaurant has a lot of seating both inside and outside. It's a bit of a drive from Emerald Isle and the other beach vacation spots but we recommend it. A great spot for lunch or dinner!

Food was delicious!!! Flavorful and good portions. Cute environment and the staff was friendly. Highly recommend the lettuce wraps and perogies! Yummm!! We are coming back for sure.

LOVED the food. Got the shrimp taco and it surpassed my expectations! My daughter “wasn’t hungry” but I ordered the pirogies as an extra just to try and “someone” nearly ate them all. Hubs ordered so I can’t attest to that process. Clean bathrooms.

Excellent food , I got the pita with grilled chicken . Slight greasy the pita bread but oh so Moist & great flavor but very tasty . The sauce added I really was tasty too ! I will be going back !

The food was excellent. We had the drip burger, steak and cheese and shrimp tacos, along with coastal fries and sweet potato fries. Every bite was delicious. The cocktails were also great, our food came out quickly, and the staff was friendly.

Excellent food and friendly staff. Atmosphere super chill at 7:30 on a Saturday night. Not a criticism, but limited vegetarian options for protein (black bean burger only.) We had the Bahn Mi, the Garlic Dip spread, and the Fries. All are top tier. Also, Non-alcoholic options!

We typically have our routine spots but recently wanted to try something new. The staff was great especially the young man that waited on us. Really cool atmosphere with plenty of seating. Our food well exceeded or expectations. We definitely look forward to being regulars.

I've only gotten takeouts so far but absolutely the best Way you can spend money on takeout in the area. Roast beef sandwich is giant. Ingredients are fresh not frozen very good restaurant!👍 Oh and all the fries are amazing.

My wife and I stopped by for a quick afternoon bite and drink. Enjoyed the tasty appetizers, especially the wings. Drinks were decent. As newcomers, we’re exploring local eateries. Friendly staff and a good vibe here. Excited to return for the entrées and share more thoughts.

Love this place! Everything about this order(take-out this visit) was great! I am a picky eater, and my family usually doesn't "appreciate" my choices. They all approved of Coastal Haze. My husband even admitted that it was the best beef sandwich he had ever had! Can't wait to return - Italian beef is next for me!

First, We got ours to go. Second, I'm a huge fried bologna fan and just assumed the VINNIE was similar. Absolutely great!!! I sometimes judge a good sandwich by how many paper towels I use during the meal. Thankfully I was at home and had access to a kitchen towel. The sliced pork/bologna and egg was on every finger, both palms and my chin. That's a win in my book. GREAT JOB Haze! Btw, that specific sandwich does NOT need any sides at all. It is the meal!

Everything we had was outstanding!! Had the pork sandwich, think they called it The Vinnie, might have been the best sandwich of my life. Great experience and highly recommended.

Food is amazing, customer service is amazing, and the perfect atmosphere for a family ! Went last night for the first time and it was so good. Love the way they have structured the restaurant. With 2 toddlers we are hesitant in going out but it was the perfect atmosphere for us. Will be going again and again hands down!

There's inside and outside seating. Fries were awesome-a different twist that I wish I'd discovered sooner. The salad with a delicious sweet Italian dressing was spot on (shrimp for protein). Don't leave without a delectable cookie or two. Trust me. Little out of way if staying at the beaxh but worth the drive over the bridge!

I'd been reading good reviews about this place so we decided to try it. We were really impressed with the thought that went into the menu and the food. My husband and I split the pierogies, shrimp tacos, and lettuce wraps with chicken. It was all so so good. The atmosphere is really laid back, and the outdoor seating area is small but really nice. We will definitely go again!

Veterans owned. Great people, great staff and great food. A definite must try. Everything is so big so whatever you order is a whole lot and very good. You need about 4 people to get 4 items and split it all up in 1/8 and take half home with you. Cause when you get the perogies, that's all you get. So no you don't get fries with that but if you get the fries, it's a lot of fries. A lot of cheese steak. So it's worth you time to check them out.

w😲w. I ordered the bahn mi, with the last order of pork available and i am blown away. Whoever started cutting the french fries the way they did was GENIUS, there wasnt a single bad fry. The pork bahn mi was bomb (pork was fatty and flavorful but not too much!) and i asked for some their spiced vinegar sauce which was a fabulous combo. Perfectly balanced sandwich, that still allowed for the signature flavors of cilantro and radish to come through.

Great food but customer service can definitely use some work. We walked in for the first time confused, we read the sign but you could tell we were confused, the ladies didn’t come up to us at all or really seem welcoming. And then we saw multiple people walking around looking for employees trying to get simple things like, ranch. Servers would be a great option & Southern hospitality is key in a place like this🔑 so I hope they learn that but overall the food was great.

Absolutely best place my husband and I have gotten lunch at in a long time. Not only was the atmosphere perfect, simple, elegant, and alluring but the staff blew us away. Everyone was so welcoming, and kept checking on us to see if anything is needed . Then the food... OMG the food is phenomenal!! Fresh, cooked to perfection, more than I could consume!! We will be making regular trips here in the future, and I'd personally give 10 stars if I could!

Coastal Haze exceeds expectations for what one would look for in a local restaurant. From perogies of the day / week to the quintessential definition of a burger. Everything I've tried has been fresh, hot, flavorful with big portions. If you're looking for a good local spot this is it. Prices are high for some people but Id rather pay for quality and support locals then a cheap meal to a franchise any day of the week. Not one complaint here from me!

Had the daily special of pork melt. It was a great pulled pork with cheese and sauted onions. Really great. It went terrific with their drinks the Day, a strawberry margarita. Friendly staff and great food.

The food at Costal Haze was great. I had a grilled cheese and tomato soup. My husband had the steak tacos. Overall we loved it and would be back.

Great food. Nice place for lunch. Imaginative menu, not your usual burger joint. The shrimp tacos were excellent and the Rotisserie Beef sandwich was tasty and HUGE. We will come back.

Had the Rotisserie Beef Sandwich. It was pretty damn good. They were packed on a cold night in January, so you know the food is good.

Have eaten here many times. Always excellent, fresh food and large quantities. The burger, wings and shrimp chowder are great. You won’t be disappointed!!! Coastal fries are a must.

Fantastic pierogis made fresh in house! The haze fries were amazing! Jackie and her husband have a great place. Beer selection is good and bulgogi lettuce wraps were delicious! Highly recommend.

There were 7 of us for lunch and we were very happy with the entire experience! The staff was excellent. The majority were young people who had smiles on their faces and clearly liked working there. The food was excellent and the vibe was very cool! We will definitely return!!

Just realized I paid $20 for a burger and fries. Safe to say I feel the same about this place as I do the IRS. For a casual little diner, that price point is offensive and ridiculous. For anyone reading there are better and much more reasonable options in the area. This restaurant needs to consider it's pricing in comparison to value or else they're ripping off customers. By the Bridge has the same styled burger but with two patties and it comes with fries for quite a bit less. Try it and avoid this place until they reevaluate pricing.

Great atmosphere, nice and friendly staff. Plenty of options to choose from on the menu and they run specials often! Priced perfect for the amount of food you get! Come hungry and you will more than likely have to take some home to eat later!

Recommend and will be coming back. The food was so good, very flavorful. Haze sauce is so good. The dry rub wings so filling and amazing. The coastal fries outstanding, onion rings so good and the rotisserie beef sandwich is awesome.

Those that say that ordering and paying is confusing cannot follow simple instructions that are literally posted at the door. Order when you’re ready have a seat they bring the food out to you you pay when you’re finished….. same exact process as fish hot grill on the island. There are many food choices to choose from and they all have lots of flavor. He must try the coastal fries. They are out of this world! The prices are reasonable if you’re not a cheapskate… even McDonald’s prices had to go up so if you were expecting that quality/ price go there instead. Some of these reviews make me wonder who posted them or if someone/ competition made them to leave a nasty review to deter ppl. Give this place a try it is sooo good. Glad we have another food option here.

Great outdoor seating for when the weather allows and very relaxed ordering procedures which we loved. Food was amazing and so glad to get to hear how the food is prepared. You can tell they love what they do.

Food is absolutely delicious. Menu is on the smaller side but I personally like not being overloaded with too many options. I've yet to find something I don't like here. Highly recommend trying this place out. The drip burger is fantastic.

Had a week's vacation in the Swansboro area and went in to have some lunch. Staff was friendly and attentive. Menu was full of surprises with things out of the ordinary. I had the lettuce wrap bulgogi the first day. The second trip was a special of buffalo chicken tacos. The third trip was the Vinnie sandwich that has a special ham that resembles bacon. All was very good and original, at least in my experience. Accommodations were delightful with many artistic touches and original designs. One can sit inside or outside, shade or sun. A lot of food for the price. Well pleased! Ron.

My husband and I ate here for the first time recently. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, excellent parking, and fun modern decor with a lot of plants and lighting. We chose to eat outside, and it was fairly quiet so we could hear each other talk. The restaurant has an interesting approach to ordering food. After you walk in, you need to grab yourself a menu, decide what to get, and order it at a ordering counter. Once you do that, the worker asks for a first name and last name initial to call out your order once it's ready. You get your own fountain drinks or canned beer, unless you want a specialty drink at the bar. After you've ordered food and drinks, you can sit wherever you want. The food came out within 10 minutes so super fast. We ordered the Drip burger with fries and the chicken bulgolgi lettuce wraps. My husband said the fries were crispy well but needed more seasonings like salt. The bulgolgi was not what I was expecting. It's an odd fusion of Korean and Greek food. The lunch style metal tray was filled to the brim with food, so you get your money's worth. My dish had a Greek salad, a big stack of butter leaves, probably a half of a pound of overly salted chicken, cucumbers, tomatoes, and very salty soy sauce. I don't like food waste, but we couldn't finish the chicken. It was way too salty. The tea was delicious, though. Once we were done, a nice young man picked up our trays off of our table. We paid inside at a checkout area next to the front entrance. We may go back, but my advice is to streamline the order process and pick a food specialty and theme.

The whole experience was amazing. When we first arrived we were a little confused because you order at a counter and pay when you're done eating, etc. Everyone we encountered appeared to be genuinely interested in what we needed. One of the things we were most impressed with was the barista, when she wasn't busy, went into the kitchen and helped bring food out. She was delivering food to a table and my boyfriend was walking towards the bar. She stopped and asked him specially if he wanted another shortwave lager. It's close to home, the wings were the best we've had around and the service was amazing. We'll definitely be back !

The food here is absolutely delicious. I wasn't sure I'd order enought food but the portions were generous and beyond amazing. We loved it and this will be a regular for our family.
