I dined in at this place right before Covid. And I had a pleasant experience until a white lady came in to order and the black boy at the counter asked if she wanted her food fried or grilled. The white lady said “no, nothing fried, I do not eat any fried food” while looking in my direction. Of course I had fried food. I thought it was particularly disgusting that this white lady body shamed me and the black boy at the register seemed to agree with her by the way he treated me afterwards when he was just nice and polite to me prior to her walking in. If this place is really closed it’s gods blessing because the people that work there are terrible. It only took me so long to write my review because I couldn’t remember the name of this awful place.

We discovered Cori's last year, and it quickly became our favorite go- to place. We NEVER had a disappointing meal, and we brought new people with us each time. I read online that Cori's is " temporarily closed." I hope that the owner, the lovely counter lady, and the two great young chefs ( a married couple) are taking a well- deserved holiday and will be back soon!! I also love the back story to Cori's and how they support pediatric cancer research. Thank you for that!!

They work out of a food truck trailer. But the grouper sandwich was excellent. Great taste. I wasn’t a fan of the crab cakes. I am not a fan of the crab cakes but that’s just me. I will return to Cori’s!

Closed until further notice. Our old go to place for great seafood. Do not go there. I hate long lines.

The biggest and best grouper or Mahi fish sandwiches and the hushpuppies are so good. Every time I forget to take pics because I can't wait to sink my teeth into the sandwich

Great service, awesome food. Was in town just for the day, and this cured my seafood craving.

This place is awesome!!! I'm particular about my fried catfish and oysters and man, does this place get it SPOT ON! The entire menu looks incredible and I can't wait to try everything on the menu! It will be my guilty pleasure at least every two weeks! Update... they have NEVER disappointed. This is still my favorite place for fried catfish. They have huge portions and they are reasonably priced.

This place is a hidden gem. They went above and beyond for us and the food was phenomenal! I hope to eat here again in the future.

Ordered blackened fish and got fried fish. When I called the restaurant a woman was extremely combative and said I should have ‘chosen the option on the menu’ . There was NO option to select Blackened even though they offered it so I added it in bold letters into the notes. When I spoke to the woman answering the phone she began screaming that I should have chosen the correct style of cooking and that ‘notes for orders’ don’t mean anything and basically spat in my face about the issue. Just based on the service , I would stay far way from this place unless you like disputing charges with your bank. Their remedy for this is to throw random blackened seasoning with your not asked for FRIED fish like you are supposed to make a magical dish with their ‘supplies’. Terrible EDIT: Are you serious Cori’s ? I’ve never even been to your restaurant or whatever you call it. You never refunded anything and your cook or hostess- the black one- - who answered the phone and was rude should be fired. I still paid you over 30$. No refund. You are lucky I don’t dispute the charge. And YES I KEPT IT , I ordered it from UBER and you are 15 miles away. Smart guy. It’s people like you who think they are entitled to take people’s money and then think it’s acceptable to provide not only bad service, but terrible and improperly cooked food. You should be ashamed of yourself taking advantage of the locals trying to help patronize your business. Look at the photo of what you served me. And yes, I am entitled if I choose to spend my money somewhere I feel entitled to get what I paid for. And no, I don’t leave positive reviews because I expect my experiences to be positive when patronizing a business. I only call out places like yourselves that treat customers with disdain after ruining their meal and trying to make excuses for it.

This little place has some of the best seafood at reasonable prices. Their also the only place you can get Develed Crab Rolls. They also have the best homemade clam chowder. I will drive out of my way to eat here.

The second we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smiles from cashier and GM. We were in a hurry, so we got the burgers with fries. Burger was cooked exactly how I wanted it. The fries were tasty! Then I had to order the Nana’s collard greens to try them! Some of the best I’ve ever had. Will be going back to try some of the fish dishes. Close enough to golf port that we will be back!

This was only my first visit but I am sure that if my next visit is the same I will raise to 5 stars!

Got the catch of the day platter, which was red snapper (only 12 bucks with coleslaw, 2 puppies, fries and greens!), bang bang shrimp and an extra order of the cornbread hush puppies. All was delicious. The fish was light, flaky, and extremely fresh. The bang bang sauce on the shrimp is super good. Fries are seasoned nicely, coleslaw sweet with the tiniest bit of heat, and collards done well also. The sweet cornbread hush puppies are crispy little nuggets of delight. Can't wait to go back.

Delicious grouper sandwich, grouper nuggets, and hush puppies!! The New England clam chowder was perfect. Nice little bite to it and plenty of clams. The service was friendly.

So, this humble appearing restaurant is well worth the visit. It's obvious that get their seafood from the fresh market next door. We had the bang bang shrimp, catfish sandwich and fries. The fries had a nice seasoning, the shrimp were jumbo size and catfish was a hefty cut. The bun for the catfish was above average, even. The bang bang shrimp had a mild spice to them. You order at a counter, the service is quick. My son said it reminded him of a fast food set up with equally quick service, with much higher quality food. Service was friendly. Has indoor and outdoor seating.

After starting to live in St Pete full-time at the end of January 2020, I realized today that I’ve been lucky enough to support 70 restaurants and food trucks so far during the pandemic! So WHY did it take me soooo long to discover Cori’s Seafood in Gulfport 🤡 Cori’s is a hidden gem...we tried the Grouper bites (1/2 lb), Coconut shrimp, Lobster Mac n’ Cheese, Fried okra, Fried clams, Seafood Chowder, Hush puppies...everything was incredible. Delicious! And their hospitality and service were great! And how did it take me 50 years to dunk a sweet, crispy hush puppy into a bowl of creamy seafood chowder? Flavor Bomb Score 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Very nice staff. Menu is simple and easy to read. Great food. Love that they have inside and outside dinning. Shrimp Po boy was delicious and worth the money!

I really love the outdoor seating and everything is super clean. The sauces and coleslaw are homemade and the portions are large! I got grouper nuggets In a basket the fries have a great seasoning. I will definitely be back. My boyfriend wants to come try the conch! Definitely give it a try!

Stopped in because they are dog friendly . Wow what a surprise to eat one of the Best Captains Platters on the West Coast . Shrimp, Scallops ,and grouper with home cut fries and a vegetable medley . Delicious !!! My wife had a fried shrimp basket and the shrimp were fresh , 20/25’s sized , and came out piping hot . Hush puppies had corn in them 👍! We were very happy that we found this Gem !

Great food and friendly staff makes this place a great experience. It’s tiny but there’s a lot of heart here. Plus a portion of the proceeds goes toward cancer research, which keeps me coming back!

Wasn't in the mood for seafood, but that's OK because Cori's has burgers and wings too. Nice little mom and pop spot with a very friendly atmosphere and service. I really felt right at home and vibe struck the kinda chord that makes me feel more than welcomed back. While I didn't try very much on the menu, I can promise you that I will be back to try other items on it.

Staff is always friendly and the food had thought put into, super tasty. A great place for local seafood. The kids portions are a great size for the price as well as the adult portions. Love that this places exists!

Discovered on St Pete foodies Facebook page. The food was so fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff was very kind and attentive. We found it to be a tremendous value for fresh seafood and will definitely return next time we're nearby.

Love Cori's! Everything is always hot, fresh & delicious. The staff is always friendly & I love the casual atmosphere with exceptional food. Definitely a must try if you haven't yet. I love the seasoned fries, the hush puppies are delicous & the cold slaw is better than most places. The fried shrimp had a light battery & were plump & juicy. The crab cakes have bell peppers in them for a Cajun style crab cake, very yummy! The cat fish is light & flaky & a huge portion for $10. Think I'll try the blackened salmon next time I go.

**********************UPDATE************************ I have decided to update my previous review of Cori's Seafood Grill due to recent events... I live about 30 minutes from this place and 2 weeks ago I made a special trip down here to eat. I was very irritated to find it closed on a Saturday when they were supposed to be open. This was the day I tried Mid-Peninsula Seafood for the first and last time, simply because it was nearby and I had to eat somewhere. Now, yesterday May, 29 I made a special trip down here AGAIN to eat at Cori's Seafood Grill, AND THEY WERE CLOSED AGAIN!!! Now I get that it's Memorial Day weekend BUT...I have "liked" Cori's Seafood Grill page on Facebook and I didn't see any notice saying they would be closed all weekend because Memorial Day is Monday. Bottom line is, twice now in 2 weeks I have made a special 30 minute trip to this place and twice they were closed when they're SUPPOSED to be open. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Cori's Seafood Grill has good food! But I am removing 2 stars from my review because of their erratic business hours that waste customer's time and patience!!! If I'm in the area I will still stop by once in a while, but I will NO LONGER MAKE SPECIAL TRIPS DOWN HERE BECUASE I CAN'T COUNT ON Cori's Seafood Grill TO BE OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! By the way, yesterday when I was leaving after seeing their closed sign on the front door another customer was pulling up to Cori's Seafood Grill soon to be disappointed. ***********************End of Update******************** Found this place about a month ago and I've eaten here three times since. Twice I've had the Snapper Sammich, once the Grouper, all three blackened. All were good, but I think I like the Snapper better. I've had the Mac & Cheese with Lobster twice, both times good. But MY TRUE LOVE here is the Seafood Chowder!!! This is REALLY SOMETHING SPECIAL! Great flavor, very rich, a little light on the seafood meat, but still VERY GOOD!!! I think they make their own fries and they put a seasoning on them that I like, so long as the cooks don't overdo it. Cori's Seafood Grill is owned by the Key West Seafood company which is right next door. The owner told me one day his son just brought in 1000 pounds of fresh Snapper or some huge amount like that. The employees told me today that they might be opening a north county store maybe around Clearwater!!! I HOPE SO!!!
