Came for the Early bird specials and we’ll definitely return to check out the rest of the menu! We ordered the BBQ pork ribs for $18. It included some mashed potatoes and veg. Also a tasty salad and bread as well. For the price and quality received, it’s an easy home run. And the $6 happy hour bourbon cocktail was just perfect. With an inviting atmosphere and well-trained service, it’s an impressive restaurant start to finish.

I can't believe this place has been here for over 2 years and I just heard about it now! It was so good! Really good value for the money, quality food, good portion sizes, excellent service, food served up quickly and friendly with a nice atmosphere. Hubby had Oriental salmon, and I had the seafood supper! Because of the salad and bread, I had to take half of my meal home. Which is fine because I will enjoy it again tonight!

We have been eating here since they first opened. We were looking forward to having a nice meal, we had terrible service, and they were not busy, food arrived and meat was tough, our server didn't check back until the meal was over. The nice guy that filled the water glasses was the only good staff, my husband tried to get attention from the staff and he was the only one that payed attention. Food was good, but bread was awful. Sorry for the bad reviews, but now days if your going to eat out, you should at least enjoy.

Service was fantastic except for the hostess who didn’t even say hello just reservation? and then seated us, clearly we inconvenienced her, but the server Marissa was outstanding. Food was ok nothing great we had the mussels appetizer a little fishy tasting and served with a broken shell, veal piccata and chicken brio. Wine selection is very good but way over priced close to 3 times retail. Table was awful, so small you could barely fit the salt and pepper on the table not at all what you would expect in a place defined as fine dining. It felt completely out of place like it was crammed in because it fit not considering the comfort of their customer. The restaurant is very noisy, add to that a couple of special occasions with whooping and hollering and we can’t wait for this experience, that had high expectations to be over. $170 for 1 appetizer, 2 entrees and 3 glasses of wine … not worth it, not returning or recommending.

Supposed to be a fine dining restaurant. NOTHING SPECIAL ABOUT THIS PLACE. Waitress was inattentive to customers and you always have to look for her. The Chef is a joke and served old leftover food, for example, half of your zucchini fresh and the other half left over from the day before. SAME THING WITH MY SEAFOOD. This place is a total disgrace. and shouldn't have 1 star. I'm a culinary graduate master and know what I'm talking about!!!!

The Pearl is just Amazing! Last night we had their special Prime Rib, it was robust, flavorful and so tasty! I ordered it medium rare and it was cooked perfect! It was the BEST prime rib I have ever had! It came with scalloped potatoes and vegetables. I had a French onion soup and for an appetizer I had their homemade sushi roll which was also simply Amazing! This place is a gem in Gulfport. Malik was our waiter and he was “Over the Top” on service! I highly recommend him. This place has the Best food around!!!

First experience. Not a high end restaurant. From the outside looks like nothing mayor but much better once you walk in. Staff was nice and attentive. They did not have the first one that I ordered. Not surprised, it is a popular one. Appetizers were good. The Bison was a decent size but it had too much tendon in it and I had to dispose about aAppetizers were good. The waitress was slow. Beer was warm. Martini was not even 1/2 filled (it was literally the size of a shooter) ... Food was “okay” only great aspect about this place is the interior design. My good friend had a similar experience. I’m not just a disgruntled judgy review person - this place is way over priced for what you get.

I wasn't wild about veal Florentine. I thought spinach and sauce were incompatible. My co diner seemed to like the halibut. Noise was unbearable. With reservations, we were seated next to a table of the 12 loudest people I've ever heard. Conversation was not feasible. There were other tables available and a good hostess would not have seated us there. I'm peeved at myself for not demanding to move. The noise ruined the evening. I don't usually complain about volume in a restaurant but this was exceptional.

This might sound strange, but the table and chairs we were sat at were all I could think about the entire meal. If you're going to call yourself "fine dining," then you have to take the comfortability of your seating into account. The food was alright, but we ate fast to get out of there quicker. They have a hodgepodge of random tables. One were were sat at would only be comfortable for a child or small adult, not a 6'2, 200-pound man. The cheap seat had a foam on top that audibly ejected air as I sat, and my legs simultaneously touched the seat and bottom of the table. Overall...very cheap and thoughtless execution on the seating. I've never complained about something like this before and I can't believe I have to do it now. I've been more comfortable in the middle seat of an airplane! Owners, if you're reading this, you know which cramped tables I'm talking about. Get rid of them!

2023 update, their Terrace was open for business and it was delicious. Very friendly service. I had my dog with me. They were only serving the Holiday menu and I ordered the Braised Beef Short Ribs, came with a salad and bread. They had my favorite type of wine Riesling from Germany. The dessert sounded great and I would have had dessert but I just could not eat more. Will be back next year! 2022: It's very hard to get them on the phone. Visited them instead but I was with my dog in Dec. The person at the front said the terrace was not open and did not have a license yet. So I went to Neptune Grill for lunch 😋 their terrace was open.

Moroccan Throwback The Pearl has been around for many years, previously on Treasure Island and now in Gulfport. The menu seems to be a mix of Moroccan and French food. It feels a bit like traveling back to the 1980’s. There’s no way to make a reservation online, checks are handwritten, servers aren’t covered in tattoos… Some throwback practices are great here like bread service and completely composed meals with a protein, starch & veg. Happy hour wine is only $5 for a generous pour. We compared the $5 happy hour Cabernet to a $10 Cab on the regular menu and liked the happy hour one better. We started with an appetizer of the fig with cheese wrapped in bacon with a balsamic drizzle. I would have preferred Manchego cheese rather than the cream cheese that was a bit overwhelming, but it was still very good. There’s an early bird menu that is quite nice for $15. My wife ordered the Chicken Marsala with couscous and veggies off that menu. It came with a nice salad. For my main I had the Lamb Tagine off the regular menu which also included a salad. The tagine was a large portion with coucous, a wonderful gravy and lots of veggies. I would have preferred lamb pieces instead of the lamb shank that was served which was a bit fatty and a pain to cut the meat from the bone. I hope that they’ll bring back a chicken tagine. Overall, it was a very good meal for a reasonable price. I’d recommend and return.

Was there for a special engagement dinner… with a four hundred dollar bill thought they could have offered up at least a bottle of wine for the table. Not to mention the lobster bites for 22 dollar were barely a bite.. the moroccan flounder wasn’t all that either. To much red sauce covered up the taste of the fish and everything else in the dish . The stuffed pork chop was the high light of the night. That was great.

We were celebrating our 51st wedding anniversary so we decided on the Pearl in part because of the unique menu choices. We had reserved a table and told them we were celebrating. The only table was right by the door so we waited a bit for a better more intimate table. Well for starters the place was so noisy it was like being in the school cafeteria. Our service was prompt but when we told him about our celebration he made no comment. Guess 51 years married to the same person was no big deal to him We started with escargots which were quite good and we thought hooray this was a good choice. And then..... I chose camel my spouse chose wagu steak. Both were disappointing. The sauce on the camel was tasty however the camel meat itself was very chewy and had no flavor. The steak was tough and had no flavor either. We felt both were overpriced. When we left we were glad we tried the place but we both agreed we will definitly not return for our 52nd

Disappointed last night. Open for Thanksgiving we dined in to not eat turkey, only to find most dishes we usually enjoy are sold out. So between a 48 dollar strip or a 100 dollar porterhouse, the NY strip was tough and chewy. Worst of all it came with stuffing. One of the worst things ever invented in a kitchen. Our waiter was rude. We have eaten here often, and have been happy. But at 100+ a pop this was mediocre at best.

We had a small group of of eight for dinner, and we were tucked away in the corner. We had a nice little table but it was still a bit noisy. But the food and service more than made up for it. We all had excellent meals and the appetizers and entrees we're delicious. You would not think looking at the little strips on her where the restaurant is located would imply that it was such a fine dining establishment. They also had exotic meats such as came,l bison, venison and others. Our server was also very attentive and we had no issues with her whatsoever. The two photos are of my wife's salmon dinner, which she thought was excellent and my unbelievably delicious double pork chop. It was huuuuge and half of it went home with me. The desserts were scrumptious and I suggest trying the beignets, if you are familiar with them from New Orleans you have never had them like this before.

Wow!.What a surprise 😮! Food was excellent, we ordered the Mediterranean sampler platter..4 kinds of hummus-.all housemade..Dolmas, marinated olives , tapanade , tomato chutney and plenty of pita. I think we even left some on the plate! We tried the $15 early bird menu..several entrees offered at $15..they come.with a salad, bread and entree..really tasty as well..Mahi Mahi in a tomato curry buerre blanc, Shepard pie and BBq ribs, those are the ones we tried. They were all delicious..maybe add gravy to the sheps pie, just a dash dry. They had Camel and Branzino on the reg menu as well..the manager was delightful and suggested a seltzer called Freshie, delicious, tequila bases..definitely check them out! 😋

The Pearl is elegant yet comfortable. The wine pours are larger than what I am use to but no complaints there. I just came in for appetizers and some wine. I enjoyed the chopped salad immensely it was perfection. The only thing I would suggest is that the scallop appetizer could use a cream sauce that holds. Mine seemed to separate and the sauce became thin and milky . I think the scallops needed a char on it and a sherry would be a better flavor in my opinion. We had a horrible experience at this restaurant. Food was below average and way overpriced. We started with the Coquilles St. Jacques (scallops), which were bland and tasteless, and the fried artichokes, which were very greasy. For the entrees we ordered the short rib special, which was okay, and the filet mignon special, rare-warm, which was supposed to come on top of a portobello mushroom with a boursin cheese sauce and wine reduction. We left a tip for the server and then walked outside of the restaurant and they sent a man out yelling that they were going to call the police because we did not pay our bill. I walked back into the restaurant to pay and was again yelled at and insulted by the chef and hostess. He just couldn't deal with the fact that he did not know how to cook a steak properly so blamed us. There is a small bar and yes, guys, there is a TV. We were greeted quickly by our server who introduced herself. The table wS preset and menus were out. The regular menu and the early dinner menu.
