Very Nice casual atmosphere with good prices. Held our monthly lady's luncheon there and our Hostess/ Server Christine was excellent. She was personable and knowledgeable about the menu. She remembered each of the eight ladies names and addressed and thanked each one. The ladies all had a good time and expresses desire to return.

Surprise find while traveling in the area. Despite it being a seafood centric restaurant, we opted for prime rib & were not disappointed! We went back 2 nights in a row bc we enjoyed the food & service. It looks to be a local dive bar, and we (1 asian, 1 north african) stood out like a sore thumb. We are still laughing at how the 2 songs we requested were not available. We obviously don't know what song to ask for in a dive bar! We have no business being there, but the staff was so nice & welcoming we had to come back for more the 2nd night. Thanks for allowing us to partake in our first dive bar experience in the US! Keep on serving those amazing prime rib dinners!

Visited here for lunch for my first time. Plenty of parking in lot, indoor and outdoor seating. Very casual environment. Food was good, great service. Will return and take more pictures.

Here's a shorter version of the review: --- The Cortez Clam Factory, or "The Clam" as locals call it, is a friendly honkytonk just a mile from the historic Cortez Fishing Village. I visited with my family and we loved the wings and shrimp appetizers, as well as the burger, smoked chicken, and chicken quesadilla for our main dishes. The food was fantastic, the place is clean despite its older look, and the staff is very friendly. They also had live country music, which made our visit even more enjoyable. Great spot for good food and a fun atmosphere!

Smoked wings were FABULOUS!! My very friendly, attentive waitress recommended wings, as it was one of the specials today. The homemade blue cheese and ranch were pretty tasty too. This was my first time and won’t be my last.

Had dozen raw oysters Wed, $23.00 later, 6 were so small and a joke, 6 were OK. Told the bar tender who said "take it up with so and so". She ran away.

This is a gem of a place. Food and drinks are priced right with a great atmosphere and a bunch of helpful folk. Right up my alley.

Food was fantastic. Took my son and granddaughter for the first time. My son was disappointed because he loves fried clam strips and the Clam Factory does not have the clam strips that he likes. Service was great.

Just finished eating here and it was so good I had to write a review. Had the fried grouper, great stuff. Unfortunately I’m not a local so I can’t come here consistently but if I’m ever in the area again I’ll make sure to come back.

The Cortez Clam Factory is amazing! The food is really good. The drinks are fantastic and very affordable. The bartender Laura was phenomenal! She runs around a lot. We love this place and whenever we come to Bradenton we will definitely come back!

The Bacon Bacon Burger was awesome! Glazed Bacon, Bacon Jam, and Bacon mixed into the burger patty. Large burgers and fries were hot and crispy. We tried the Bacon Mac n Cheese - it was mediocre.

Everything was delicious; Shrimp scampi, the special hognose fish, bacon Mac and cheese, pulled pork and french fries. The hognose had an amazing sauce. Our server was excellent, he went over and above. The only struggle was. The atmosphere was difficult to deal with. It was a loud dark lit somewhat small capacity local hub. The music speakers were having issues and got even louder.

Always great food 🍲. This is my go-to restaurant for excellent food and entertainment. I have been going here for years and have always been a pleasure.

Heard alot about this place catering to locals. I have been in the area for awhile and finally decided to stop. From the moment I walked in I sat at the bar and was waited on by Lori. (Hope I spelled her name right. Blonde lady with glasses). She was very attentive to me from walking in to exit. A few came in that she knew their name. I was treated no different. Food was good, price was right. Service was great. That's all I want when I go out. Thanks Clam Facrory.

Happy as a clam! The BLT is amazing! Best bacon I’ve ever had. The Cuban with black beans and rice is always amazing also. We love everything here! We always come here when we’re in town. 10/10

I wanted to have the fish taco but I asked for it non-blackened and was told that that would be a $2 upgrade which was not acceptable to me. The service was okay the young man that delivered the food to the table was adorable. We only go to this place when our friends ask us to I always find it very loud and hard to hold the conversation there.

I love this place. My whole family comes here OFTEN. The food here is phenomenal, I always go for a BLT. Their bacon is made in house and is a must try. Definitely a great place to stop for lunch or dinner! I had a small problem with my ToGo order and Dave, the manager, and Christine went above and beyond to help me out. I'll definitely be back again.

Always good food, great service, fun atmosphere at reasonable prices and no wait. Wednesday night is Lobster special! Another favorite is the hogfish snapper. Never a bad meal!

Went there for a tenderloin sandwhich advertized on facebook. Get there an they dont have them, only now an then are they availabe. Lol Ordered wings they were so over cooked, french fries were stone cold. After 15 minutes waitress came and asked if we needed anything. I almost said recook our whole order. But decided to never go back. False advertisement, bad food and bad service . Good luck all you patrons

I had a great time there, especially listening to Koko Ray. His song choices were perfect, and his volume was great. It was so nice to be able to eat and have a conversation, while listening to a great performer. Hopefully, one day they will allow me to perform there.

If you have been to the clam, you get it. If you have never been, what are you waiting for! Good food, great people! Nate is wonderful and I look forward to seeing him. Food is great. Music! Geez! Get up and go! Do yourself a favor.

The pulled pork sandwich and the BLT were very good, especially when you know that the pork is house-smoked and the bacon is also house-made. The service is impeccable and the prices very reasonable.

First visit. Food is amazing. Great service. Live band was playing. We shared: grouper sandwich, came with fries (omg amazing), crab balls and clam chowder. All was hot, and delish!

I’ve been there a dozen times for steak night, this is my first bad experience with the steak. One third was fat and gristle. Waitress asked about the steak, nothing.

Awful experience. Table of 6 we ordered 5 dinners 2 people were going to share. 3 dinners were the prime rib special, 1 dinner was a chicken the other was the garlic shrimp from app part of the menu. Well the Prime Rib dinner came out first. Then 20 minutes later the chicken dinner came out . It took 30 minutes to get the shrimp dinner. The owner actually brought the shrimp dinner out with an apology. By this time the prime rib dinners were finished. Owner should have did the right thing and taken the shrimp off the bill but didn’t . Never going back again.

I have been there two times and will make this a go to place. Grouper was excellent and the peel and eat shrimp were very good. I had to try the crab balls and they didn’t disappoint.

A glass of Chardonnay was priced way too high. . $8.25 the most we have spent while in the area.

Arrived at our vacation rental and Cortez Clam Factory was right at the entry to our neighborhood, We could easily walk without getting on a major road so their location was perfect! Met Dee the bartender our first stop, she was awesome and quickly made us want to come back and hangout. Throughout the week we were there 4 times, each on a great time, food was great especially the chicken wings and crabby balls. Drinks were always cold and were never empty. Great place to hangout at NOT on the island, in fact we preferred to spend time there over anywhere on AMI. If in Bradenton/Cortez/AMI stop and spend time here, you won't regret it!

Quality service. Got the buffalo wings and they were amazing! So good we went back and got another order later that day. Was reccomended by a native. We were not disappointed. We'll be back!

Nice bar... great food... not fancy. Go relaxed casual and fit right in.

Food was just okay. Have had better, but it was still good. The Ruben sandwich wasn't that great. The wife had a prime rib. That's what I should have had also. Crabby balls were okay. Drinks were redbull and vodka. They said it was redbull, but it didn't taste right. Waitress said it was from the gun and was overly sweet and weird. I will return and try somethings different.

It's a 5-Star dive, for sure!! They have their own smokers, and they know how to use them. The food is excellent. We've never had a bad meal there. Get you a seat at the bar where Mike is tending. He's a real pro, very attentive to all his customers. The place is super casual with regulars from all walks of life. We had the meatloaf today... SO good. Well done, Clam.

Sports/music bar. TVs with sports, "the game" cranked to deafening levels over a house sound system. If this is what you seek then 5 stars. 😄 They have put up some acoustic treatments. Inside and outdoor seating. Good parking. Good wait staff.

Paid by credit card, we got card back and went home. That night while we were sleeping there were hundreds of dollars charged to the credit card. Had to be someone who was working the cash register. We went nowhere else that night. BE CAREFUL!

First off the food sits at the bar without any protection or heaters, and the staff is breathing all over it and standing around. Then my dad asks if he could have his chili because he didn’t want it to get cold. He immediately apologized if he was being snarky, he said my wife just passed yesterday. The blonde older miserable lady gets annoyed, hands the chili over then says… yeah well my dog died yesterday I get it. We came today because this was their favorite Buffalo Bills bar every Sunday. And in her honor we came here. We will never ever EVER come here again. #motorcrossbar

Best New England clam chowder I ever had. I had fun with the peel and eat shrimp.

My husband and I got the mussels and oysters, and they were both amazing 👏😋! Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area. A somewhat hidden gem that won't disappoint.

Unfortunately, I have gone there for years but this time was awful! All of their waitresses were all over the restaurant and not assigned per section. I had given instructions to my waitress that I didn't want my hot appetizer with my cold appetizer! Not a manager or head waitress cared to address my concerns but was able to finally address to owner. We all were bitten alive by noseeums! The place needs an exterminator if they're going to serve food and have entertainment outside.

Awesome little place near the beach. Loved the beer battered shrimp, hubby had the steak sandwich and my son had the cheeseburger. Fresh food not frozen. Glad we found this restaurant, much better than AMOB in my opinion

Staff was friendly and accommodating, the food was fresh and delicious, and the atmosphere was great for watching Thursday Night Football. We will be back on our next trip to Bradenton.

5 star bar food at its finest!!! This hidden gem is nestled in a small, unassuming strip mall. It was obvious this was a favorite of the locals when we walked in. The atmosphere is low-key and everyone is very friendly. We started with homemade potato chips with clam dip and crab balls. The service was great, and the appetizers were delicious. The ribs and bacon cheese burger were amazing!!! The burger was the best I ever had. The meat is custom ground with smoked bacon added for flavor. We will be coming back every time we are in the area for sure!

Been a commercial fisherman for better half of my life, Freud came to town so I decided to take them there for lunch. I’ve been to Cortez clam factory before and it was great. Food is always hot and service is great. However, I ordered the grouper sandwich today and it was 100% not grouper. It was Cod. Selling seafood that is not what is on the menu is kinda shady…are the clams local? Is any of it local? With Cortez fishing village roughly 2 miles away where everything is fresh caught and easily accessible. Won’t be making this mistake again.

Great to place to hang out and meet new ppl, food is amazing(ALL OF IT) bartenders and wait staff are super friendly and attend to you needs promptly!! All in all a great family or night time place

I have followed CCF on face book and have dined several times. Nothing spectacular. But last night while waiting for our meal, an obvious regular walks in with a dog on a leash greets everyone at the bar and proceeds into the kitchen area, visible from my table with dog and I can see all the staff bending over to pet this animal. I was shocked. I told manager stood up and left, never to return

This place is a gem, tucked in a small strip mall, It is a locals bar that will not disappoint. The beer is cold the staff is friendly,, and the food is out of this world. The tag line of " 5 star dive bar" is the real deal. Crabby balls are a must have.

I have always been a generous tipper because I understand the perils of being a server. But the other night was the first time I ever decided yo give a lousy tip. The food was great. I had the Cuban sandwich. And the live music was good. But our server was HORRIBLE. She gave a menu for us to look at. But we waited so long for her to return that we had to send someone to fetch her to take our order. She was literally all around us, but ignoring us while giving the effort to the larger parties who were drinking. We finally got her to take our order and then she disappeared. Someone else brought the food. When we asked for the check, she "went to get it". Except she didn't. She kept entertaining her coworkers and the larger groups. We had to act like we were about to walk out without paying to get her to bring the ticket. At first I felt guilty for only tipping $3 on a $60 ticket. But I guess the other tables she lived around more than made up for it. I just think all parties large and small, drinking or not, deserve the same service. But the food was great. IF I go back again, I'm getting it to go. I can take care of myself better than their professionals can.

I've been wining and dining at the Clam Factory for six years! Not only do they have a wide selection of amazing cocktails and beer, the food IS AMAZING!!! I have eaten almost everything, more than once, and NEVER had a bad experience. Think you need a fancy, expensive steak, at some ritzy dining restaurant? Think again! Clam has steak night, EVERY Saturday night! SO damn good! Doubting yourself because it's coming from a bar? Think again! I'd much rather sit in the company of amazing staff and friends for way less than half the cost. More importantly, the bar staff have all been there for years+. Not only are you getting amazing food and drinks, but you're being greeted with amazing, familiar, and known faces and smiles, each, and every time you come in. I almost forgot-they also entertain you with live entertainment/musicians as well!

After driving past them on several beach excursions, we decided to stop today for dinner. We had a great experience but be advised that they have a summer menu so several items off their online menu like the brisket pastrami sandwich and fried oysters were not available. We tried both their blackened grouper sandwich and blackened fish taco’s, both substancial portions and delicious. The grouper fillet was nice sized, tasted fresh and priced nicely at $21. The bun was slightly toasted and the fries seemed hand cut and seasoned. The blackened fish tacos (3) were nicely seasoned, slightly spicy with fresh ingrediants. The service and server, Victoria, were great and our wait once we ordered was not long. Overall, we enjoyed it alot and will visit again soon.
