Great service and got our food quickly. Great view of the water and a fun atmosphere inside.

The last couple times we have gone have just been a bust! Staff is OK and atmosphere is fine but food was cold and fish was chewy. Had to send back to "reheat". The extremely limited menu now doesn't offer much at all and so we will probably not be back.

Made our day with a fresh fish dinner.

I would return 100 times to this place. They just take a long time to serve you and serve you food.

Visited Anna Maria. Decided on the Seafood Shack. Service was great. Leah was awesome. Food was OK. Clam Chowder was good. Wife's Flounder sandwich was good. Fries were amazing. Daughter's Mac and Cheese, she said 5 stars. I ordered the Stuffed Cod, and it was good. The rice that came with it was abysmal. I told Leah they should burn the recipe. She offered me fries to make up for it. Just told her I'd share with wife's fries (which again were amazing) but if you are coming for the rice, stay away. Other wise great experience

We had not been to the seafood shack for a few years and they used to, past tense, have a great seafood platter. We went on friday, August 30th and I was very disappointed. the processed fish was bland and tasteless and the crab cake was mostly cake. I don't know why they switched over to a processed fish cake (square flat pieces of fish) but I think that was a bad decision. We will not be going back there are other places to get good fish platters.

The service was great here and the food was excellent! I was surprised it wasn’t busier on a Friday night! We also had pina coladas and it was good and a great price!! I think the oysters were the best out of everything we tried.

Staff was great. Food was great. Everything we ate was good. Good choice if you are looking for good fried seafood. I had the fisherman's platter with Mahi as the fresh catch. The crabcake was the only low point. Not bad just not as exceptional as everything else. The special shrimp stuffed cajun oysters were great. Fish tacos were excellent. Was not very busy for a Friday which is good but sad that food this good seems to be unnoticed.

Great place to visit when you're hungry. Everything was so good. From the burger to grouper sandwich. The view was great. Service was excellent. We went there at lunch time and it wasn't crowded. We got seated right away and the staff was amazing in explaining and suggesting the meal. Mac and Cheese, Burger, some fishes to go with that. And I've been craving for Conch for so long and they had the fritter. The conch was a little salty but overall I give it 5. The price was so much cheaper compare to the restaurants on Anna Maria island and the food was way better. Highly recommend this place to any one.

Our family has been coming to the Island since 1968. We have seen a lot of changes here but what makes this place so special to us is the local Islanders. They make you feel right at home. The Seafood Shack offers such people that really brings this to the table for their guest. I would like to say a special thank you to Harley, Cassandra, Mark, George and their team for allowing us to keep the true spirit of Anna Maria Island alive . Great Job, guy's! Please keep it up ! One of my favorite local spots. Typically not crowded either. Drinks are good and the redfish is delish.

Worse than the food is the attention. We were sitting at a table for 1 hour waiting for them to bring a terrible food that was totally tasteless and disheveled. My family and I would never go again.

Went for the first time today.I caught a nice redfish this morning so we brought our own catch. It was really good. We did half fried and half grilled. Both were awesome along with the sides and sauces. I will for sure go again

The Seafood Shack offers outstanding food with fresh flavors at an exceptional price. The atmosphere is relaxed and the ocean views are stunning. Highly recommend!

It's on the water and you can dock your bought there which is cool. Food is just ok. I may be off as perhaps locally there just aren't great seafood options outside of grouper, but the menu was essentially a couple fish prepared fried, grilled, or blackened and none of what I generally hope to see at a seafood restaurant. They had crab cakes, but no crab. No lobster, oysters, scallops, etc. The grouper sandwich I got was fine, but no better than what I could've got at any fried seafood place anywhere in the country. Service was a little slow. The margarita I got was just ok and I think it was in a plastic cup, the extra shot for a dollar was a good value, but the tequila was trash.

An iconic restaurant at the beginning of the Cortez bridge. We have been coming here for years, first before kids with friends, then for years with our children and family over from the UK. We have had lunch and dinner here so many times. We saw our best friends get married here and it was such a wonderful day. The manager Joe runs an exceptional team and I would say you must visit The Seafood Shack time and time again.

Everything a Florida seafood shank should be. Excellent service, food paired with fun nautical ambience with a history and following. A Marina with Charter boats is also positive addition to any nautical eatery.

Customer service could of have been better our server wasn’t attentive and I was dissatisfied with the food The menu said Spanish rice but it was really wild rice that’s not the same thing we ordered snapper dinner was expecting a whole snapper received a piece of snapper another dis’s appointment

Not too loud, clean friendly atmosphere and the staff is all in for any questions you have. From the out of the world Mac and cheese to the red snapper sandwich, I could not find a flaw with any of the services here and that says a lot when you travel over 800 miles to a vacation spot and get this kind of great service.

Brought our catch to have them cook it and it turned out great. We had excellent service and the sides were tasty. I would definitely do this again.

After trying to find a place to eat that wasn't a 2 hour wait we came here because someone had told us that the food was fabulous. We got right in and seated but our waitress was very rude and short from the get go. The tea was about as terrible as our service and the food was not much better. The only good thing about the visit was the beautiful boats and sky outside on the marina. I wouldn't waste my time or money on this place. I would have rather had a sandwich from Publix.

Our waitress was amazing! We sat outside by the dock at sunset which made the experience worthwhile but the food we ordered was not that good. With the name we thought we were going to have a lot of fresh seafood options. The blackened grouper sandwich that I ordered was soggy and the hush puppies were soaked in grease. I ordered a hamburger for my grandson off the child's menu and it was thin and gross. The bathrooms were dirty and smelled like urine. It was disappointing because the place has a ton of potential. I don't like leaving negative reviews but the food was awful and maybe it was a off night that we visited. I hope they can do better in the future.

We had Grouper bites that were a bit over cooked. We also had the shrimp dinner. Again, over cooked. Not sure we would go back.

We went offshore fishing in the morning and took our filleted Red Fish and Sea Trout into the Seafood Shack immediately after getting off the boat. They fried it up for us and served it with fries, slaw, hush puppies and the most delicious homemade sauces! We could not have been happier! Everything was delicious! The hostess and server were friendly and the price was a lot less than we expected. We highly recommend the Seafood Shack!!!

The food was great I had a plate that can't seem to see on the manu anymore, perhaps a mother's day special? It was delicious my daughter had the cocunut shrimp and that sauce it comes with divine. The their own cocktail are very tasty, beware lol but the bartender didnt seem to make other drinks right, no worries i would still go back to this place

Very disappointing! Such a waste of location and atmosphere. We used to eat here 20+ years ago when this place was must have on every trip. Stopped in this week and was surprised that there was no wait and now we know why…. Food was lackluster at best. My husband ordered the seafood platter and I ordered crab cakes. The seafood platter was bland and my crab cakes were mushy and tasteless. The service was excellent but the food was not. This was a total waste of $100.00!

We ate here for the first time today. The grilled grouper sandwich was kind of bland, but the homemade chips were pretty good. We had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated, even though there was no one else in front of us, and there weren't very many customers in the restaurant. We kind of felt like we weren't seen, because the hostess was standing right in front of us and just...waited until she felt up to seating us, it seemed like? The service overall was slow too. The atmosphere and location are excellent.

The food was disgusting…snapper was horribly seasoned and mushy tasted like the worst crab cakes not like a piece of fish, maybe not cooked through, the bun was dry, cold on top and steaming hot on bottom like it was microwaved and too long, flavor was absolutely horrible. My drink was straight club soda water flavor, asked for Tito's, vodka and cranberry. Hard to screw that up. Hushpuppies dry and flavorless, restaurant was dirty and sticky. my husband got fish tacos, the only bad ones he had the entire two weeks we stayed in the area. We ate out almost everynight and he orders them everywhere that had them. My daughter liked the chicken nachos but basically like taco bell so they were fine. My husband finished my snapper because i couldn't eat more than a couple bites. Both of us sick to our stomach for the rest of the day and next morning. The only thing we had in common was hushpuppies and my sandwich. Service was very good.

Sat outside party in restaurant for a 10year old our food no calamari gave me fish chunks instead over priced I did not see a Cuban sandwich , cheap food over priced.to be on bay you would think that would be good not recommend asking me for a fisherman feast there was none

The service by Jordan was good. We had the jerk pineapple ribs, Alfredo cod, seared tuna and mussles. Everything was really good with the exception of the mussles. The sauce was a bit salty and the bread was not garlic bread. The price was also affordable. Overall I would go back and recommend.

Family-friendly restaurant with fair prices. Great choice if you are trying to feed a crowd. Outdoor dining and charter boats and rental water sports toys available as well. Aquariums on the inside. Happy hour specials.

Nice little place in the water that has a great staff with some decent food! If you like seafood then you must try this place for sure! Especially with the view, it's a nice place to relax and take it all in!

The food here was very good. My party has some allergies but they were very understand and helpful. Their menus online are outdated, so I have added a picture of the menu they had when I was there.

Not as allergy friendly as advertised. No bacon wrapped scallops, no shrimp n grits. Our waiter was however very nice.

One of my favorite places for lunch in the area whenever I visit. The coconut shrimp are delicious! And I like sitting on the outside deck with a piña colada on a hot day. The view is fabulous and the staff are friendly. I don’t go for the food in general tho. It’s pretty bland. My brother loves the fish tacos, which I think are just ok. Update: Truly one of the best views around and I love sitting on the deck at sunset. But whew the food needs some improving!

Recommended by the crew of a sunset sailing trip as having fresh fish, caught and cooked on the same day, and a great vibe. Plus great value. We visited between a kayak trip and beach time on the Anna Marie Island. Restaurant is full of fun cool marine memoribillia. But sit outside by the boats for the full experience. And order seafood! Our server Brenda was really attentive and friendly.

Seafood Shack have a perfect location for trapping tourists. !!! I was there for dinner with my husband. The server we had at first looked nice, but after couple of questions about drinks and food I can tell she looked annoyed. She does not give us any recommendations at all and I need it to ask her about the catch of the day, cocktail and other stuff….. I ordered the fisherman plater and instead of MahiMahi I liked substituting the fish with Grouper the server was “Yes we can definitely do that “ nothing else…. After we got the bill they charged me $12 extra for the Grouper…. I think if it’s an extra charge you should inform the costumer for that… $27.95 for the Fisherman plater + $12 Grouper = $39.95 just for my dinner. So I paid for 2 different kinds fish and I eat only one…. Their Piña Colada’s have no alcohol at all and the fried calamari was chewy and greasy. Do not spend your time and money there, 1 minute away is the Star Fish Company at Cortez with way friendlier staff and better food on better prices!!

The menu is different online than it is in the restaurant. They didn't have a bunch of items that were on the online menu. On our visit we ordered a variety of food. We started off with four appetizers. The crab nachos, they didn't have and they replaced it with shrimp. You get a skewer of five shrimp on a huge plate of nachos. The chips were stale. and there was a small handful of cheese. . The food did not look appealing when it arrived at the table. We ordered the ribs, stuffed cod and a couple other entrées. The ood not the best of quality. . Fast-forward to three hours later and I'm at home and I get violently ill. I was in the bathroom for over an hour. I will never go back to that restaurant again. You would think because of its location that the food would be a lot fresher. I would definitely not recommend this place.

Coolest place to dock your boat. One stop set up. Baitstore eating and docking. Harvey is a cool dude. Stop in and ask for him. Super nice and helpful. We tore the trout up. Best fishing weekend. Made it easy with being able to use a private boat ramp and park your trailer and truck at the marina.

After fishing all day, me and the boys stopped in for a couple of cold ones. Nice selection of beers on tap. I opted for Beach Blonde. Went with the burger for dinner, one of the better hamburgers I've had in awhile. Great vibe and friendly staff. I'll definitely be back.

The blonde waitress Brenda we got was horrible at her job. My wife ordered a Reuben sandwich and I ordered the fried grouper. When the food came out, the Reuben was actually a Cuban sandwich which she tried to convince my wife to eat anyway. My wife had to take a bite out of the sandwich to confirm for her that it was not in fact a Reuben. Brenda said she would get it “rushed” so I decided to give my wife my fries while I ate my sandwich before it got cold. By the time my wife had ate all the fries and I the entire sandwich,(without the malt vinegar I requested) my wife’s sandwich was still not ready. We waited quite a whiIe then finally gave up and asked Brenda for the check and to take the Reuben off. She brought the check and walked off and disappeared. By this time we had been in the restaurant 45 minutes. They were not busy even had empty tables. We had to walk up to the hostess and ask her to ring us up. Our waitress then noticed us and took over checking us out. I did not feel as though her service warranted a tip but I felt obligated as she had reinserted herself into my check out process after wandering around the restaurant.. I have never NOT left a tip in my life..Brenda got a 10% tip. She did not deserve it. Long story short I spent 68$ and an hour of my evening eating a fried fish sandwich and drinking a beer in front of my wife while she waited to eat. If you are sat in the older blonde waitresses section ask to be moved. The one thing positive I can say is the Grouper sandwich was delicious. This was our last night out on our vacation and I saved eating seafood for the last night because my wife doesn’t care for it. As we were leaving the Reuben finally came out for my wife and the waitress Brenda insisted that we take it for free. So my wife got to have a few bites in the car before we drove off… If we were at Applebees I’d call that a win, but a place like this I really was expecting more and hoping for a good meal and time with my wife, eating, together.

Loved the atmosphere here and the food was also very good. Service at the bar where we ate was lacking. Also took a long time to receive our food. I would still recommend going here aside from the lackluster service.

Great place to dock. All the amenities you need. Food bathrooms/ showers nice docks and even a bait store next door. Harley is the most outstanding docksman in the game!! Really impressed me with his mannerisms and graciousness!!! He worked to get us in on our stay!! Very friendly place.

Great spot because it's right at the bridge before the island. Enough parking and right on marina complete with pelicans. Cool pirate ship vibes and nice staff. We were served quickly with a very nice young man with upbeat personality. Had a Watermelon spicy Margarita !!! Yum my God it was perfect with a fried shrimp basket! My boyfriend had a Cuban Sandwich that was great. Loved the vibe and style here.

Wasn’t busy and food still took an hour - Burnt food was cold! The back room staff forgot one person at our table’s meal. Bad experience!

This was a return trip 2 years in the waiting. Next to several great fishing tour companies. Food is great and the staff are great as well.

Server had no interest in helping with menu questions. The one she did answer was wrong. Onion rings were greasy and cold. They had been laying around a while. I Had the seafood platter. The shrimp were good. The crabcake was hard and burned. The fish was greasy and flavorless. My wife had the stuffed cod. It was good but very small. The view and atmosphere were great

We went there for seafood; and it said it had a Gluten Freer Menu. That was an overstatement. They had ONE item and that was terrible. Don’t eat there if you have a GF problem.

Loved the atmosphere, service, food, and drinks. For appetizers we got the onion rings and coconut shrimp which was delicious. We got shrimp quesadilla and Mac n cheese with blackened shrimp. We also had mango daiquiri and strawberry daiquiri. Food was hot and fresh. Our server Maddie was attentive without being overbearing. She gave us great recommendations.

Marina accomodations are first rate! Dock master Harley made room for us on our recent trip along the Gulf Coast. George was also helpful with our docking, wi-fi and general boating needs. Very rare these days that people do what they say and make us feel at home during our stay. Restaurant is excellent, gotta try the fresh snapper!

Be prepared to wait. Atmosphere is pleasant as you are right on the water Wait staff appears to be short handed as many tables remained empty while you continue to wait. Food served in reasonable time frame and hot. Wait staff good, front desk could be a bit friendlier ,

Honestly was not thrilled by this place. We had passed it on our way back from the beach, thought it looked nice, and saw on the google maps menu that they served oysters, which we were craving. After making our way there and sitting down, the waiter told us they do not even have oysters. Ordered mojitos, basic beach bar drink, and they couldn’t make it because they don’t carry mint. We chose an outdoor table to watch the sunset but the atmosphere of the restaurant was really not that pleasant. Zero music, no ambiance of any kind, just loud tables of smokers around us, and barely any outdoor lighting once the sun went down. Ended up getting French fries and leaving, wishing we had chosen a different spot.

We had a decent time here. The drinks were great, food was decent but we got seated inside so the atmosphere was so, so. I’m sure if we had been on the patio it would have been great.

Been going to Seafood Shack for 13 plus years with family and friends. By boat or car in the evening. The last 2 weekends we were in there in the evening. Had a bartender named Vicki. We placed food and drink order. She shows no hospitality, slammed my beer down on the bar. Its like shes inconvenient for her to wait on you. She shows no emotion like we are a nuisance to her. Locals sat down a few stools down. They were waited on in a minute, food portions overflowing. Just a emotionless angry person. Two times!!! I do know from the dockmaster to the MGR George very pleasant and helpful. Vicki we help pay your salary and tips. Be happy you have a job!

We “Boated In” to the dock. Food was very good and the atmosphere was great and of course… Nautical. Fish and Chips was fresh and not greasy like some places. We will definitely come again.

The burger and fries were enough food to share with my husband. We sat outside and enjoyed the view and atmosphere. We'll definitely be back.

The food was very good & the to-go order was made as requested, but they left out sauces requested & most importantly, they left out utensils & napkins.

Service was fine, atmosphere was great - terrific venue but....food was barely edible. Chicken was definitely microwaved. Ribs were extremely dry. We've been here many times but this is without a doubt the worst experience ever regarding the food. So disappointing. Not sure if it's because of season or the property being sold or if the owners have simply checked out and no longer care.

Very busy when we arrived but we were seated sooner than the estimated wait time. Service was prompt food was good. (Grouper) Just what we were wanting. Sunset was beautiful. Lighting could use some improvement as some of the lightbulbs were out.

We went yesterday and there wasn’t that many people, but it took quite a while to get our food. I got the Jamaican church ribs which were delicious but the other parties with us got coconut, shrimp and chicken salad sandwich and they were just average. My grandson walked inside as we were eating on the deck to use the restroom and some little wiener dog jumped out from under a table and grabbed his pants leg. The lady that had hold of his leash just smiled and then later when we left, she was all grins like nothing happened. I told the hostess and she seemed surprised. Do you let dogs come in just for any reason, and when they bite or run out and try to Grab peoples pants legs, let them stay in there?
