The food is delicious and very authentic.

Amazing food and service. Very authentic Mexican food. Delicious!!

Bar/Grill type restaurant. Had menudo and two barbacoa tacos. They have a condiments area with salsas, onion, cilantro, lime and other stuff. Tacos were good, meat had good flavor by itself, it was just a little dry though. Meat was nice and shredded as well. Menudo was also good, came with tortillas and dried Oregano with some fried chillis. Also got the agua Fresca de jamaica,, lacked in taste and was sort of watered down a bit.

Prices have changed. They have risen. What the menu says is not the same as what she charged me.

One of the best soups. And I really like the jalapeno poppers. Thank you so much. I hope I can come back soon.

Ordered tacos de lengua.. meat was dry. Prices were high. Not that impressed. Service was good though. Vibe was good.

Starred down upon entering the restaurant. Not a good feeling. Enchiladas OVERKILL on spices. Ordered Beef Enchiladas and got chicken Enchiladas instead. Beans were watered down so much it looked like mush (the beans looked like baby food to be honest) and rice was bland. Service was nice however.

The moment you walk in the door, you're treated and greeted. From the owners to the staff, you're made to feel welcome. They learn your face and what you eat!! They're all so accommodating, it's like I'm in another world. Don't worry about a language barrier, they got you! The food, has always been fresh and very satisfying. I've visited more times than, I should've (watching my weight 🙃 but can't resist! They have an open, ingredient bar and that's sooooo perfect for me! I'm one of the pickiest adults you can meet!! They, handle it all! Just stop in and have a cold drink and some great food! You won't regret it! Cheers!!! Geraldine (I'm almost sure that's her name), is a Gem!!

Authentic Mexican food, delicious.

Incredibly authentic place. Because I am in Florida, I ordered the sopa de camarones for the freshness. Was not disappointed. The Caldo (broth) was flavorful and spicy, just the way I like it. Menu looks great. Other soups include pozole, menudo, and caldo de res. Great condiment bar to help yourself. I recommend the red and habenaro salsa from the condiment bar instead of the salsa given with the complimentary chips that unfortunately lacked spice and overall taste. Very friendly staff and welcoming. Norteño music to entertain. Can eat at bar with beer available. Spanish highly recommended.

Quite authentic Mexican restaurant and food. Feels like you’re in Mexico!

Terribly slow service; what they show in the menu as "Parrillada" is just a fajitas plate with more onions and green peppers than skirt steak. There was a sole waitress attending the place, took my order and only showed up again with the food about 20 min later; never bothered to come to my table until I got up and went to the kitchen to ask for help when I was done eating. Hope you have a better experience than I did.

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY. THEY WILL NOT DO IT EVEN THOUGH THEY SET UP A DELIVERY SERVICE. IT IS A SCAM! THEY DO NOT USE DOOR DASH NOR UBER EATS. THEY USE SOMETHING CALLED GETSAUCE. DO NOT USE IT.

Delicious tacos! I recommend the lengua tacos. I really like the topping bar they have. It makes it easy to pick what I want. Also great tacos sauces available.

The best Mexican place that u can go an eat real Mexican food

It was my first going and it was very delicious. I enjoyed every bite of my food. Sadly I did not take a photo because it was so good I finished the plate in a flash. But if you want to try what I ate, it was the barbacoa quesadilla with a side of beans, rice and salad. I love this restaurant, for sure I am coming back again. Thank you Costilla Grill Mexican Restaurant. 🥰☺️

Muy buen servicio y muy rica la comodida

Este día compré un Caldo de Res y esta fue mi experiencia. Otros caldos de Res del área de Lakeland, son más claras y transmiten el sabor de la carne. Esta era rojiza, quizás mucho achote y esto elimino el sabor de la carne. El volumen y demás componentes está bien. También puede ser que los domingo (ayer) hacen caldo de menudo y les haya sobrado y hicieron mi caldo con el sobrado y agregado la carne. (Esto es un supuesto). No hice la observación en el momento, ya que la compre para traer a casa. Yo he comido la Parrillada Mixta de ellos y me ha gustado mucho. Incluso el personal es muy atento. Lástima la experiencia de hoy.

Usually I love the food, but tonight was not a good night. Sope shells were soft like bread, queso was as thin as milk, guacamole was very bland and chips tasted like they were cooked in dirty oil.

Really really good authentic food, really nice people what more could you ask for.

Wow - really tasty, well seasoned food here. I’m hesitant to order carne asada at restaurants because sometimes it’s extremely fatty or greasy with not a lot of flavor. Definitely not the case here. I ordered sopes, one with carne asada, one with chicken and both were to die for. Flavors, tenderness of the meat, quality of the cuts, was all on point. Tried the rice and beans as well, and they were very good. Excelente, mil aplausos 😄

This place is the real deal for authentic Mexican food and atmosphere. The food was really good and reasonably priced. Our server, Crystal, was phenomenal!

I cant say too much about the environment since I was the only customer at the time. I went there around 730pm and was surprised it was dead. I was promptly greeted which was good and something I look for. They had what looked like a bar but was not. It seems they only serve beer which was highly priced so I skipped on that. The menu was not too overwhelming however I really wanted birria but they didn't have it. I'd reccomend they add it to the menu also drinks. There aren't many Mexican restaurants I've been to that didn't at least have margaritas. On to the food I ordered a steak burrito which was excellent in size but lacked flavor I had a side 2 street chicken tacos which were also bland. I ordered my wife a chicken parrillada which was the same as mine. I'm not sure if it was an off night or because it was slow so overall it was ok. Maybe I'll give it another try when they have a larger customer base.

We found costillas because the restaurant we were going to wasn't open. I am glad because this neighborhood restaurant was great. Friendly staff and great homemade Mexican food. I had the parrillada mixed grill with homemade tortillas. The seasoning was really good and the dish came out steaming. Portions were really large. Two people could actually eat this. 5 tortillas were included. I had the chicken and shrimp on mine. Could get beef also. The hot pepper was wrapped in bacon. Only one waitress,but still was served in good time. My husband had the enchiladas. Pretty hot. Lol. But he really enjoyed them. They have an assortment of ice cream bars available for desserts. Sorry forgot photos.

Delicious! The food here was way better than any of those fancy chain restaurants and it was affordable! You could feel the pride that went into it. It had a fresh home-cooked quality most places lack. I had a chicken burrito and my friend had steak tacos. The atmosphere feels like a small piece of Mexico. I will revisit!

Wanted something different ordered from here and was very pleased with the food! Good amount for the price and taste was amazing. Only thing I would've done different was include lime with the food but not a big deal :) Will definitely order from again.
