my husband said the food had no seasoning he didnt like it nd threw it away. me on the otherhand never tried it but this is his review nd he is s cook/chef.

Great food! Very excited to find a place so close to home that makes great chicken & fish! Corn fritters were awesome. Will be back many more times!

They have gotten slower since they are under new management

Was going at least 3 times a week but they started Refrying my tenders when I told the person that took my order that I wanted them fresh! Took my order back and the person that handled my complaint said that I do this all the time when it was my first time with a complaint! I will NOT GO THERE AGAIN! NEW OWNERS NO RESPECT AND LIES

Chicken was fresh and was good overall but lacked any type of seasoned flavor

Thos is the 2nd time I wasted my money there...hoping this time it would be like it used to be. I ordered a liver dinner the fries was horrible the livers was cooked too long they were hard and dry. The coleslaw was the best thing on the plate a d it wasn't the best. The 3 piece chicken snack was gooood tho. Very disappointed..

Food is amazing. It’s just sad that it takes 30 minutes to get food and to sit in the drive-through Especially when you have a own, Law order shouldn’t take this long

I had this for the first time on Saturday outing. I purchased 1/2 lb chicken liver and 5 piece dark meat. The chicken was fried to perfection and was so juicy. The liver and fried okra were good as well. Will be back!

Had the pleasure of meeting the owner Patrick at my workplace Tuesday. Very nice christian man Been a good while since I've eaten there but let me tell you the food hasn't changed at all Very delicious, served hot and cooked to perfection. He brought me chicken livers and i ate till i couldn't. Lol Ill continue to eat here at every opportunity. Thanks yall

It's so ridiculous how much this place has gone down. I was so freaking mad after ordering 12 wings and fries and then I get home to 12 really small dry looking wings. Definitely done with this place. They should be ashamed of themselves. **** Had to come back tonedit and add more. They provide emails and phone numbers to reach out to them about the complaint but never respond ****

Very good food. Old style southern food. Greens, coleslaw, chicken is very good. No dining indoors, sketchy neighborhood, but drive through or walk up seems safe to me. Great place

I have gotten food from here 2 times. And both times the food was so good. The size of the sandwiches I got were so big. And I could any eat half of it at once. The food is so worth the prices.

The food is amazing. The chicken is so good, both the wings and the sandwich. We'll seasoned fries, too. Parking is ok. The location is a bit on the ghetto side, but the service was very friendly. It's a busy place, so calling in advance would be smart. Recommend trying this place out.

An absolute LEGEND in Lakeland. You have to get their 10 piece dark and a pound of chicken livers. Call ahead because us locals keep them busy. They are on speed dial on my phone. Love them.

Best Gizzards in Lakeland hands down 😀

First of all, I didn't get the fries with my fish dinner, they were meant for my granddaughter. The pieces of fish are all globbed together and some of the batter was still raw. I have never had a bad meal from here until today. Normally, everything is very good.

The food is always tasty & cooked to order.. But they take too long to prepare

The best tender gizzards in the world come from here and I love the fried livers and their chicken is great also on and let me not forget about those hot fries and the baked beans are always on point.. I've been coming here since I'm was a kid staying around the corner on 9th St and everything is still the same

Had dark fried chicken, it was crunchy and hot. With small sides cole slaw and baked beans. Food was good, but sitting area was not to clean, tables we wet and to many squirrels and birds hounding after food.

The wings could be bigger They like Cornish hens That's disappointing

For a takeaway restaurant, they do an amazing job of making you feel like you're in a sit down restaurant. What fast food drive thru do you know that will sing happy birthday to you at the pick up window and give you a super yummy muffin to celebrate with you? Definitely a regular customer here!!!

WOW!! I was blown away at how good the food was! When we were passing through Lakeland I wanted to stop at this little place that I had read about. It is just a little white and red building right on the road with a walk up window and a drive through. There is a nice little shaded area with picnic table to eat at and was very comfortable. I LOVE chicken gizzards and livers, my husband not so much, but him being from the south he can't pass up on fried chicken! We had fried okra, hush puppies, onion rings, fried chicken and of course fried gizzards and livers. The gizzards and livers were some of the best that I have ever had, my husband said that his was a like a little bit of home. The service was very friendly and we appreciated the little bit of extra sweetness you placed in our bag, WONDERFUL pound cake. We enjoyed it so much that we are planning a return trip on our way back home. We are going through Lakeland just to eat lunch there. A must stop if you are anywhere near Lakeland! 😊

I've always said the best places to eat are the little, privately owned places. It's just a small building right on a main road with a great place to sit outside of you want and grab a bite and just relax in the shade. I love it.

I was excited to try the fish for the very first time and trying this place for the very first time. I ordered doordash for my son and I and they forgot the most important thing in the bag after paying $40 for our meal! ... No three-piece fish whatsoever! Booooo! And then when I tried to call as soon as the doordash left the line picked up and then hung up quickly and then remained busy. Yes I got my credit with doordash but no I didn't get my lunch. 😞

No star really bad esperience in there with employees actitud cero stars they need to get in order, and pack the food in order , and stop that actitud to the custumers

Parking is not bad but use Google to order via storefront. The order is often incorrect when I pickup if I call in but delivery is often quick, hot and tasty also accurate. The fries are good. I recommend the 3pc tender back with a side of fried okra with the honey mustard. Thank you for reading. 🙏🏾

Passed by this spot while taking my son to the children's museum the line was long, so we knew it had to be good. Food was a 10 out of 10 ! Service was great everyone was friendly they smiled they joked around. Shrimp, fish, chicken, Mac & cheese, greens and livers allllll delicious!

My go to chicken spot. Sometimes there is a wait but it’s worth it! If you want some good old school southern chicken, fosh or shrimp this is the place to eat. Definitely get the Mac and cheese and baked beans!

I have always enjoyed stopping by when I'm in town. The other day I did just that. Stopped and ordered a pound of fried gizzards and a bottled water. Waited quite a while in the drive thru. When ready to pay I was SHOCKED when I was told my order was $18 and I never got my bottled water either. Prices on the drive thru are not updated. I like this little joint but I won't be back anytime soon @current prices. Wasn't open at 9:30 as stated online.

The Shrimp, Potato Salad and Beans are my favorite. Corn Fritters are always my top choice. Always delicious.

My favorite is the fried chicken gizzards and livers. Always tender, flavorful, and done to perfection. Everything else is also amazing! If you see a line, it's a good sign and worth the wait. You won't be disappointed.

Jesus chicken! Every time our family comes from out of town they ask us to take them to get Jesus chicken and yes this establishment is ordained! I love the livers and gizzards, and you have to know what you're doing to get tender gizzards. Never open on Sundays because "we rest on Sundays." So whenever you want to eat the Lord's chicken and have what could be your last supper and be right this is definitely your spot! And make sure you don't forget them sides!

I’ve enjoyed myself every time I’ve ordered from here. The service can be slow at times but you have to factor in cooking and preparing with the large amount of people who enjoy what Country Chicken has to offer. The only complaint is waiting in line while the Florida sun is beating down on you. Other than that, great experience. I’ve had the chicken and fish sandwich. The sides all have been great. But especially the veggies.

The fish sandwich combo is a great low priced meal that has PLENTY of fish!

The best Chicken, Livers, and Fish in town.

We got a large order for 30 people today.... 60 huge pieces of the most amazing fried chicken, and 3 huge sides , green beans (to die for), super cheesy Mac and cheese, and some of the best potato salad I have ever had! We could have totally fed 40 people easily.. we also got a 9 piece of chicken nuggets and a fish sandwich for the one that didn't eat chicken. (The fish sandwich is enormous!) Everything was BEYOND PERFECT! Kieth, the owner... Guided me through my order and helped keep the order in my budget. I had a $200 budget and all in, with all of that food....our order was $176! Everyone was so blown away by the food also! Most of us already love the food, but the ones that hadn't tried it before all asked me where we ordered it from. I am certain they will be having a few new customers for sure! We asked for this big order to be ready for pickup at 11am so it would be here for everyone's lunch time, and just as promised, it was complete and ready for us at 11. Everyone was super friendly and I just can't say more about their service and the price.... But I could definitely go on for days about the food!! If you want delicious food that everyone will be talking about... Order from Country chicken and fish. I promise you won't be disappointed. I would say that this was our 5th or 6th time ordering a big order... Without fail, everything was exactly as good as today. Thank you Kieth, and please thank your wonderful chefs for the perfect lunch.

There's a reason why this place I went to over 30 years ago, when I was in my teens, is still here. It's the best. The employees have soul and heart. The amount you get is a blessing every time. I can say I loved the tenders and the fried chicken everything is delicious so order any and everything. This is one that I have no photos of because all I could think about was eating it up as soon as we got home.
