I got the Classic fried chicken and it came with four pieces but they were so dry I could only eat the thigh. Our waitress was very nice but I couldn't wait for it to be recooked, she said there was fresh being made but I had an appointment. So I wasted my money. Maybe next time it'll be cooked properly or not left sitting around under a heat lamp or however they keep it warm.

For a Friday night the place was not that busy. But then again football season for High-schools are back! Waitress seemed pre-occupied never came back to refill drinks. We all ordered homestyle chicken dinners with Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese was ice cold on all three plates. They did bring us all new sides of piping hot fresh Mac n cheese. Also the chicken was just not up to par like in the past. The breading not the same!? Something off!

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I shopped in the store area, and one of the employees helped me find a display with items I was looking for - she suggested it as I was shopping another display, and it enabled me to find enough pieces for all the gifts I needed.

I've had many Chicken Pot Pies in my life and a few from Cracker Barrel but yesterday I had one that was like soup on the inside. It didn't even have any flavor. My wife's Breakfast was ok except her pancakes tasted like the ones that you heat up in the microwave. Not a very good experience this time. This is from a bit ago and we went back yesterday and I ordered the Fried Chicken, Dumplings and green beans. My wife had the French toast with berries, hers was good but I should have known better than to get the fried chicken because I specifically asked the waitress (who was very nice) if it was fresh and she said Yes. So I ordered it. Naturally it came out so dry it was inedible, I ate the thigh because it was the only piece that was moist. I've had the dumplings every time I go and I really like them but these were like Soup. I only ate the green beans and the thigh out of 4 pieces of chicken and the two sides. I might have to find a new place to go

Tried the new hash brown shepherds pie. It was delicious. Had rewards and got a free drink.

Had granma's sampler breakfast today, it was delicious!

On this particular visit, my mom and I came for the general store only. We took our time looking at every individual thing. We had a blast. Other than the Halloween decor blaring over the sound of the music on the loud speakers, we had a great time. Everyone we spoke with was so pleasant. As Christmas gets closer we will be going back for another shopping day.

Such a unique restaurant cracker barrel is. The atmosphere is just you have to see it to believe it. they have a little store in the front is always packed full of interesting knick knacks and what not the waitresses and waiters are just top-notch the food is amazing I don't think I ever had anything at this store that was bad the friendliness of the staff is just top notch as well

I had the steak tips fries and Mac and cheese. Husband had Friday's fish fry fries and fried apples(his favorite).He had a Southern half and half, and I had my regular good Ole sweet tea It was quick and devious. Our server Joshua was extremely friendly and cheerful

Cracker Barrel as a whole,has really lost a step. Our greeter showed us to our table and when we asked to be seated elsewhere, she did so with an attitude. The place wasn't crowded at all, but we still had to wait for our waitress, and our drinks. Years ago, Cracker Barrel waiters brought water and took drink orders promptly and greeted people. Our food came out, and was ok, but the biscuits and cornbread were under done. For this reason I try to choose other options when dining out. Cracker Barrel used to be so good. I keep hoping they'll improve to the standard THEY set. Unfortunately it doesn't look like it will happen.

Absolutely love this place. Always a top choice for home cooked food.. We also love to visit this jem on our trip back to Orlando from a day of theme parks or beach in Tampa. Food is amazing. Lovely atmosphere. Like your visiting family for dinner. So welcoming. Jessica.. One of the waitresses is absolutely amazing. Such an asset to this restaurant. Always so sweet and kind and my kids love talking to her. Always a smile and makes you feel right at home. Of course you really got to check out the store. An absolute must.

Just got a to go order, but it was amazing! We were hanging out there waiting to meet with someone, so we spent a lot of time in the gift shop. So many nice little gifts and nik naks

Visited Lakeland FL restaurant on a Sunday morning——very busy. Katie was our server and she was absolutely wonderful! The food on the other hand….not so good. Katie was personable and attentive. She served the breakfast entree and the sausage was like a hockey puck. She took it back to the kitchen and when she came back with a new batch (which was not any better than the first) we mentioned there were shells in the scrambled eggs. She said she would be back. Within 5 minutes, there was a manager at the table with a fresh hot plate of scrambled eggs. He took away the overcooked sausage asking if we wanted bacon instead. We declined the offer so he said he would take a percentage off our bill for all the issues——and he did. Katie was proactive and efficient. We did not really complain, only mentioned the issues and she calmly took it upon herself to make everything right! Cracker Barrel should be proud to have a server of her caliber and work ethic! The other diner in our party had a lunch entree which they truly enjoyed however the breakfast entree was lacking.

Fried potatoes and chicken were to greasy You can see the oil on the potatoes and chicken. Tasted like the oil wasn't changed in at least a day.

Not sure why but the Sausage Patties have changed and are not edible. Way to much of a strong liquid smoke taste, almost burned your mouth to try to eat them. 😦 So disappointed that we seem to get overcharged EVER time we go, and no one seems to be able to fix the issue so we just end up paying it. 😤smh

It's really unfortunate we can't even have a good Cracker Barrel in Lakeland. I ordered take out and waited awhile for my food. Got home to find my ham looked disgusting as pictured. I took a bite and immediately spit it out because it has a spoiled taste and I didn't recognize it also smells spoiled! I am pregnant so not only risking myself being sick but my unborn child. Food safety and quality of food being kept is not something to play with! I will NEVER go back here and they should be ashamed for putting people at risk of getting sick from serving old food!

Forget your ihops and Dennys. You want quality food, classic American feel and great staff , this is it.

Breakfast was great both times we visited this week (Aug 2024). Jennifer and Sara both provided excellent service on each visit, and never let our coffee cups run low. Overall great experience! Always love this location when visiting Lakeland.

This is the second time I ate at Cracker Barrel in my life. I will not be going back. My sausage was dried out and the Ham was dried out.I was very disappointed.We were there at 9am It should have been fresh.Store #CB0189 8/9/2024.

Went here with my husband who normally love their Chicken and dumplings but tonight they were old dried out and watered down. He also ordered a salad with vinagrette dressing when the waitress showed up with his meal he again asked for the vinagrette dressing and was given Italian. I ordered a hamburger no cheese the burger was a old patty with a watery taste of inferior watered down beef my bun was burnt and my fries came out cold. When I asked for fresh fries the waitress came back and said it would be 4 minutes after approximately ten minutes I asked for the kitchen manager when she came out she started making excuses that they were cutting down the line and were having problems witg Chicken Pot Pie then said they forgot to drop the fresh fries. Then they came out again the were hot and half cooked. Cracker Barrel used to be good homestyle food. Now its anything but good. Its cold old and inferior food quality. If you want to go out to eat and go home as hungry and unsatisfied as when you left home this is your restraunt. And oh by the way it will not make a difference if you tell 2 managers and a cashier they will walk away while you are still talking that is what happened when the male kitchen manager came out. And through it all they never asked what they could do to correct the issues just MADE EXCUSES. I will not be going back to this location or any location for a while if ever. Loyalty rewards member that I am. What about your Customer Loyalty Cracker Barrel. I should have just taken my $28.00 and flushed it down the toilet as that is where the food served belonged. Would have had fresher better quality food for less money at Wendys and it would have been beef not processed food filler meat.

I like to look at the wonderful and interesting items they have specially the Peanuts of Charlie Brown characters.

I got the Bacon Maple Grilled Chicken with Mac n cheese and turnip greens. The food had a lot of flavor. It was delicious! I ordered it go online just about 45 minutes before . I arrived 30 minutes later to pick it up. . I’m giving 4 stars because there wasn’t very much Mac n cheese and the turnip greens had too much meat in it and not enough greens. My husband would have loved that. I drove from Zephyrhills and the food stayed hot until I got home. I had plenty of chicken left over and 1 biscuit which I plan to eat with a salad for lunch the next day.

always love this place. Great fast service,everyone always polite. When ever Im in this part of lakeland I stop here to eat. This trip this time though was different,our server was very slow and getting our food was very slow. Server not super friendly and my daughters food was cold Which was highly unusual.

On this particular visit, the chicken n dumplings were very salty. It had probably been 6 months since we'd been there, but I've been ordering the chicken n dumplings for years, so I noticed the change. Also, when we went to pay the bill, we were 3rd in line but the line quickly extended into the dining room because there was only one cashier while two other employees were decorating a Christmas tree. Finally, after about a good 5 to 7 minutes, one of the other employees came over to help check people out.

Had the Chicken pot pie- Presentation was Awesome_ but the food quality looked like a frozen dinner with the chicken diced up in small pieces- same a carrots- no taste

The to go here is always super slow 🐌 last two times I ordered, it has taken 30 to 50 minutes longer than the estimated time on the app. The food was ok, but it does not really travel well. It is better to dine in.

We had a party of nine on a Saturday morning. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was awesome, very attentive and got all orders correct.

Horrible. Waitress was rude. Food was cold. Need to just shut down. No managing staff avaliable.

Went in for an early dinner. Mashed potatoes were very cold and serving was very small. French fries were also cold, as well as the fried okra and broccoli. The gravy was luke warm. Waitress took our order never checked on us and brought the bill way before we were done. Didn't ask how everything was, if we needed more tea, or if we wanted desert. Went into the gift shop to look around and maybe buy a few items. Employee kept following us around from one end to the other. Was very uncomfortable. Had already said I was just looking around and didn't need help. But she kept following us around. Made it hard to look around and shop. So ended up not buying anything. Will not be back. Didn't feel welcomed at all. And food was not worth it. Service was lacking.

I ordered 2 premium side dishes only, no other food order. I was up charged by $1.30. There was no difference in quantity, quality, or size. Why price gouge when there is no difference in the sides, wether you order with or without an entree. They are prepared the same way.

Went with a group of friends. Half the group waited over 20 minutes after many of us had food. Breakfast sausage was HORRIBLE, they were out of fried chicken, and chicken tenders were overcooked and dry.

My favorite is the oven baked french toast with custard

My family came by last night to have dinner after a long day at Legoland. Our waitress was Wendy and she was absolutely amazing 🤩 She was very considerate and made sure we were all taken care of. She mentioned they were having a contest and needed to sell 3 take home meals but to please not feel obligated to buy one. She said they were all really good and suggested the French toast but made sure she didn't want us to feel pressured into buying one. My kids adored her and said the 4 stars on her apron needed to be 5. I agree. She was such a joy to speak to. Before we left we talked about being moms and how our kids are the center of our lives. She mentioned how sweet my kids were and it felt good to talk to her on a personal level. She was warm, friendly, professional and extremely fast at taking care of us. There wasn't a moment where we went without anything. Wendy has a very welcoming energy about her and smiles a genuine smile all night. I decided to buy a take home meal after all but not because I really wanted the food, I did it because she was so unbelievably kind and caring towards us I really wanted to just support her and help her with the contest. If she took the effort to ask then I saw delight in purchasing one for her to do well in the contest. I honestly was kinda bummed to leave because I enjoyed her company ☺️ Next time we come, it will definitely be on a Wednesday again so we can see her. The food was on point as always and the watermelon lemonade was a hit with my kids. I ordered the chicken and dumplings for the second time and it reminded me of my Nana's. It was so amazing and the portions are very generous for the price. Thanks cracker barrel, we've become regulars now over the past year and are never disappointed.

I am a frequent flier at Cackers Barrel. I was seated for 15 minutes before l was greeted. Finally a gal came to take my order it is 3:30 on a Sunday it really wasn't busy. I never had to wait this long. I love Cracker Barrel.

The Lakeland Crackerbarrel is consistently good - It is a go-to eatery for my friends and I - The "Lemon Pepper Rainbow Trout" is a favorite "to-go" of my Mom and me. I order it "plain", with no seasonings, because we like the flavor of the trout! The Chefs do a GREAT "grilling" job ! It is DELICIOUS!!

Been here so many times honestly sick of the place. But, it used to have consistently good food. In the last month the food has been horrible. No complaints about service.

Seems they've gone back to normal portions of the hash brown casserole. Last visit, I picked up the entire side with my spoon. Two big bites was all. How about making the pancakes the normal size again? I doubt owners of that giant company are struggling as much as we are. 🤷‍♂️ Give us a place where we feel we get our money's worth again.

Staff was very kind and went above and beyond to help me shop for things that I needed. Even though they didn't have their halloween stuff out yet, they decided to bring out what I asked for and we're very patient when I asked to see several things working and out of the boxes. I felt like I had my own "hand maidens" that waited on me hand and foot, but they acted like they really enjoyed helping me. :)

We love going to the Cracker Barrel in Lakeland the service and food is always excellent. The employees are always helpful and accommodating.

Ate there Sunday. Got $6 candy that said cream filled, not true they were jelly filled. They wouldn't take them back because it was food and opened. Well how would you know if you don't open the box? We are only 5 minutes away, don't know if we will go back.

Halloween is out in the store and once again good stuff! Great comfort food! Cracker Barrel is the place to go for good old fashioned cooking. Real simple, you know what your getting. Is it fine cuisine? It is for most folks. No foo foo food here. You want massaged baby beef, umm not here. Make time for the store, there's old fashioned fun there also. Enjoy! PS - make time to talk to your servers, they're often so happy to just chat, great souls at every position.

Not sure what it is with this particular location but everytime we come they do something wrong. Pancakes were rubbery, hash brown casserole was cold, eggs were cold. The surrounding locations never mess up like this particular location. Won't be back.

My husband ordered: Grandma's Sampler Pancake Breakfast. Two Buttermilk Pancakes n’ butter served with two eggs over medium, Country Ham, fried apples and syrup. I ordered: Homestyle Fried Chicken Salad. Crispy, golden-fried Sunday Homestyle Chicken over fresh greens with boiled egg, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons and Colby cheese plus crackers with Balsamic herb vinaigrette. Amanda asked me if I wanted my chicken fried or grilled on my sandwich. Oops! It’s a Fried Chicken Salad!! Ok… ordering is done. Amanda came back and asked me how I wanted my eggs… on my salad?! Oops! They are hard boiled!! She then asked my husband how he wanted his eggs. Oops! He had ordered over medium. A few minutes later Amanda came back to tell me she would bring me a side dish of lemons for my water. “Ok. Thank you.” Amanda then returned to asked me if I still wanted a side dish to put my chicken on. “Yes, please.” Maybe 15 minutes later I see Amanda come out of the kitchen with a tray of food. She heads over to a couple nearby and gives them the food. Oops! It is not their food. After the customer gives her back the food she comes over to our table with the tray of food. She gives my husband 2 hard fried eggs and a dish of grits. She gives me 2 pancakes and a small plate with slices of grilled chicken on it. Oops! She decided to take all of the food that she brought to us back to the kitchen and find out why they were messing up her orders. Oops! After 45 minutes of one oops after another we gave up. It took us 3 seconds to decide what to do… We left! We are very sad to have such a disappointing experience at a restaurant we have always enjoyed.

Server was slow people came in after us and was eating before us. The server came and apologized for how long it was taking and said she would bring us some biscuits for the inconvenience and then never brought them.

Abigail was incredibly attentive, friendly, and efficient. What stood out the most was Abigail’s genuine care for her customers. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied, and her positive attitude added a special touch to our visit. It’s clear that Abigail takes pride in her work, and she is a fantastic representative of Cracker Barrel’s commitment to great service. I highly recommend asking for her if you want an exceptional dining experience!

It is just gross, and the sides are cold. I've been in for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... eggs were gooey... I think it was because the cook had to actually cook, not scoop sides from a heating table. I waited for the waitress to come back around 5 mins later. I said "hey the eggs are still gooey." She said you want me to cook them longer??? UMM...LOL...NO Please exchange for sausage. I've never had patty sausage that tastes like slim jim. I've had the famous fired chicken meal with upgraded sides..sides cold. Banquet chicken is better and cheaper. Hubby had hamburger steak. Then said it's covered ìn gravey, but dry?! I tried the fried chicken again..was a little better, but maybe it was just delivered. The gift shop is great. The manager did comp our breakfast, so we didn't have to pay $17.60 for pancakes and tap water.
