Food was great and so was our server Ansley. There was no wait and our food came out fast. Fried green tomatoes were awesome, shrimp and grits but my favorite was the Praline pecan pancakes OMG they were so delicious.

The wait was tremendous, the service was extremely slow and horrible. It was just not worth the 1 hour 30 minute wait. The food was good but the service lacked.

We've been here for five days and this is the first time we've had nothing but good things to say about a restaurant. Zero "It was nice, BUT" going on. Tasty food, reasonably priced, serviced by warm and welcoming staff. We were originally told there was a 25 minute wait but 10 minutes later we were ordering. If we're ever in the area, we'll be sure to come back.

Unfortunately we never ate here and won’t try. We joined waitlist and were in line to be seated. I received a text message that we were removed from the list. When I approached the hostess she said we were never on the list even though I showed her a text message that we were added and removed. I asked if we could be added back at the same place and I was told no. Ridiculous. Even with proof we were in line. She had no urgency to assist or accommodate. Horrible customer service.

We showed up around 12:20p.m. it was myself and four others. We were told it would be a 15-20min wait. After waiting for about 25mins or so, we were told it would be another 40min wait before we were seated which was really inconvenient since we were already hungry and had decided not to eat before arriving in order to enjoy our food. Once we were seated, we ordered pretty much immediately (within about 10 minutes)of being seated), and it took a total of another 45 minutes before we were served. The food was really tasty despite having to wait over 2 hours to discover this. Bottom line if you plan on eating here, call in advance for a table, or you'll damn near starve to death waiting.

Alejandra was our waitress, it is the 4th time I have come and she has served us 3 times and we are still happy with her service. Very good food and the perfect atmosphere for breakfast. Recommended

Crawfish Eggs- Toufee was very delicious. I'd go back for sure and try other dishes.

What an outstanding place for breakfast. The service was perfect. The food was tasty. I think the quality is better than most breakfast places. I would eat here anytime.

Delicious breakfast amazing service with great choices and hardly a wait at all

I joined. The waitlist and arrived at the suggested time - out table was ready within minutes - DEFINITELY get on the waitlist if offered. Chicken Pot Pie on special was SO good! Lobster and grits was nice - the lobster is shredded so you get some in every bite. The croisseignets were freakin amazing in bite sized pieces…it’s a MUST have. The service was impeccable. An absolutely perfect lunch.

Asked for crispy bacon and I got soggy, greasy bacon. Waiter said he can't take it to cook more because it is frowned upon. I guess here the customer is not right. I paid for the bacon and never took a bite. Sad service.

I went here with my boyfriend, we are an interracial couple. We were sat and never served. We waited about 20 minutes, and not a single person came to greet us. A family was sat, and within a minute a server was there apologizing to them for the wait. Meanwhile, we hadn’t been acknowledged. Lovely way to start a birthday trip.

The food was extremely mediocre and overpriced for what it was. Service was alright, pretty long wait considering the restaurant wasn’t too busy. The Captain’s Course was disgusting, even the smell was so terrible you could smell it from across the 8-top table. Would not recommend.

Dont get the eggs benedict the english muffin was ROCK hard and the hollandaise was terrible

5 stars all around! Food was sooo good reminded me of my grandma's breakfast. Joined the waitlist online ahead of time so we didn't wait long at all after checking in. Very experienced server named Ivan. He noticed we didn't order any pork and informed of other items they contained pork so we could avoid it. Great experience. Whenever I'm near Destin beach again The Crackings is where I'll be having breakfast! *chef kiss

By far the best breakfast in Destin, hard to decide between the many delicious options. The chocolate milk is epic and the kids want to go back every year. The Maque Choux is incredible and keeps Crackings at the top of my list.

This is my favorite breakfast joint when visiting Destin. I love the crab cakes Benny and my boyfriend loves the shrimp and grits. The Gouda grits are the absolute best grits I've ever had.

We went in for breakfast during our vacation and this far exceeded my expectations! We went with 2 families and everyones dish looked delicious. The coffee here is really good! And the service was what it should be. We’ll definitely be back.

We decided to do brunch here at Crackings it was a little busy, but we were seated pretty quickly. I would recommend going before brunch to beat the crowd, and they close early too, so beware of that. I believe they close at 2 pm. I ended up getting the Lobster Benedict, which consists of two lobster cakes each on an English muffin half. The Benedict also had poached eggs and grilled tomatoes with hollandaise sauce on top. I also had potatoes on the side. I ultimately wanted something light and filling, and this dish did that. It tasted sooo good. I would definitely get it again. The menu here is unique they had a lot of fish options to choose from and classics as well, like biscuits and gravy, and pancakes. They offer turkey and chicken options for certain dishes for those who do not partake in pork. The service was great, and our food was ready pretty quickly, too. When we come back, I will be coming back and trying something new!!!

My family's been coming here for about 5 years and it's always really good breakfast, food, great service, friendly and a good environment. I really truly love it!!!

Delicious food! We ate breakfast here and it was the best meal we had in Destin. Gravy and biscuits, lobster omelet, chicken fried steak, crab fritters, croisseignets, grits, eggs benedict, everything was SO GOOD! Also, the server (I forget his name) was awesome. If you're in the Destin area, don't skip this place. It is way better than any other place we ate, and we stopped at quite a few of the well-known spots.

We were quoted a 30 minute wait time and added our name to the wait list. After waiting for over an hour (9:20am-10:30am) I asked the hostess how much longer until we would be seated and was told that there were still 6 parties in front of us!! I wish I could give 0 stars to be honest.

Best breakfast I’ve had ever in the states. Unreal. Everything is top notch. My all time fav is the country fried steak and gravy, best I’ve ever had. The Cajun omelette is excellent also. 5/5 stars ⭐️ easy

My family and I enjoyed eating breakfast here. Our server was very nice and attentive. The cinnamon rolls were warm and gooey. The gouda grits were delicious. My french toast was good too. I could have shared with my whole family. Overall, the restaurant was nice.

We looked online to join the waitlist and it said no wait, when we walk up the girl sitting at the host stand is playing on her phone and didn’t acknowledge us til I said something… and low and behold there was a wait!

Normally a wait to get in during the season. Food is 9/10. Great service even when crowded.

Food was better than most breakfast places but the service was very slow and our waiter was very sarcastic and forgetful. His opening line ‘Okay, let’s get this over with’ was delivered so coarsely that it was difficult to tell if he was kidding or if he was truly a jerk. Then as our meals were delivered, some incorrectly either they never were fixed, or in one case we were informed something listed as part of the meal on the menu (which wasn’t delivered) would now be an extra charge. We eventually sorted it out but who needs that kind of frustration when you’re just trying to have a nice breakfast with extended family on your vacation?

Want something hearty and really good for breakfast? I never really got the term "comfort food" until his morning. The country fried steak was such a heartwarming experience. Our hotel had free breakfast. This was worth the drive and cost. No, it's not expensive, but is delicious. Cannot go wrong with their large menu selections. Our waitress Maria was on top of her game. Will be back.

Timamisu French toast was delicious. Coffee was ok, tasted old. Panhandle scramble was delicious and a huge portion.

We love this place so much. The lobster grits are a favorite! We ate here three times in a week of vacation two years ago. We are staying an hour away and drove in just to eat here!

I just paid $15 for one piece of avocado toast. They use to serve two pieces. Guess that’s destin. Pay more get lesss

Rude service as soon as we sat down. They didn’t let us know our table was ready and skipped us along with other people who were patiently waiting. Took an additional 20 mins to get a table bc they didn’t call our name and said “we texted you”. That is bad customer service, skipping those who were waiting in line. Then the host started arguing saying “it’s not our fault” when it clearly was. Won’t come here again. Bad first impression lasts.

Family run by well respected communitarians. Honered to be served by them and think about them year round!

Probably the best breakfast in Destin. The food and service was good. Choose this over the pancakery down the road! So much better than the pancakery through food, service, prices, and atmosphere.

Two visits with Ansley as server...simply the best!

Went early on a Sunday morning (8am) and sat at the bar. There wasn’t a wait at this time. The food was AMAZING and the service was quick! I got the crack down BLT and it was easily the best meal I had out here. And I was losing hope because I did not enjoy the majority of the restaurants that I tried here!

A little pricey. I had the Captain’s Course omelette for $18.99. It was very light, airy, but filling. It was good. One thing about this place is most of the breakfast items are geared towards seafood. I would have rather had an omelet with pork-based meat, but they didn’t have one.

The fat had clearly separated from the liquid. The eggs were watery and rendered a liquidy texture when eaten. The ham was seasoned well and fried to allow the flavor of the meat to really be prevalent. A cup of coffee was $3.49. There are 2 stalls in the women's restroom.

We came in from Ohio, and the food was amazing! The cinnamon roll was crazy good and warm. Our server was so good! She was very attentive and we wanted for nothing, she did a great job and was super friendly. I wish I caught her name. But thank you for a great dining experience over all!

I used to love coming here back when it was Another Broken Egg. Not much has changed though, I think the menu is basically the same. Food is very good.

Found our new favorite breakfast spot in Destin! The food was spectacular! Our service was incredible. I asked our server Marcella if the Maque Choux was good (since I had never had anything like that before). She said it was her second favorite thing on the menu (first thing being the crawfish eggs-toufee). I ordered it - OMG sooooooo much flavor packed into the dish! Our drinks were never empty, the service was so friendly! Can’t wait to go back!

We had the tiramisu french toast, cinnamon roll, cup of fresh fruit, some omelet with chicken and andouille sausage, coffee, orange juice, and a mimosa. When I tell you this is the best breakfast I've had in years please believe I'm not lying. The French toast was not too sweet, just the perfect amount. My kiddo tore up that cinnamon roll. The coffee was so fresh and strong, yum yum yum!!! The absolute best item was the omelet. I've never had an omelet like that, it was like a cajun omelet and lord Jesus it was so stinkin good. This was definitely worth the 25 minute wait.

I had the spincado omlette which was tasty! Also had gluten free mini pancakes very small but delightful. My mom had a Belgian waffle which was also great and awesome coffee and cold brew!

The Maque Choux Benedict was exceptional, especially if you like crab cakes and fried green tomatoes. The Coastal Omlette had really rubbery shrimp in it. Otherwise very good

Phone service is horrible tried ordering for 10 minutes nobody answered the phone.

Hot delicious breakfast unexpectedly. Delicious served fast Friday morning breakfast no wait seated immediately and the perfect price point for the quality of the food.

Our server was friendly and attentive. I had the best hot chocolate - just the right amount of sweetness and richness. The biscuits are light and fluffy. All around, great meal.

Party of 4, we all loved our meals. Teramasu French toast, praline pancakes and country fried steak. Gravy was good.
