Really good service and nice people and the servicer Sherrell N. She was real nice and friendly and the food it was real good and nice and clean.

We eat there quite often. The food is always good, the service is excellent. Everyone is very friendly!

Stopped in the Darrell's dinner the other day. Order the club sandwich with turkey and ham And a glass of water I was absolutely shocked when I seen the bill I questioned my waitress. She says. Well, you got the ham plus the Turkey wow I could have bought the whole pig and the whole Turkey.$25.00 plus tax .

The food is plentiful and very reasonably priced in this day and age. Next time I'm having the breakfast sandwich, it looked great! With 19 locations (I saw that on a screenshot on TV in the diner), there's bound to be one not too far from you.

The bacon was good. I hate to complain & I get everyone works hard, that employees dont always have time to eat. However, seeing the cook eat in the kitchen, not so great. Please tell him he isn't supposed to let the customers see that.

But you took away the Cuban sandwich. That was not good. You should have left it on your menu.

Excellent breakfast at a great price

Ordered a Club sandwich on wheat, and it was great! The turkey meat was flavorful and went very well with the bacon. My hubby had the French toast meal with the sausage links. He said the food was 'okay'. He is a breakfast person so I took that as it was not as good as he'd wanted it to be.

Only fit for dogs, you can tell that. Cook it on in electric skillet in the back room. Definitely update disappointment.

Portions were a little scanty. Waitress left a little to be desired at first but she warmed up.

food tastes like straight booty cheeks. omelette gave me food poisoning 2 hours after eating it. 0/10 for the food, the service was 10/10 but the food nahh son it was garbage.

Service was great, waitress was very friendly and felt bad about the food second one you could tell was irritated because my husband said something all she had to say well we have to cook it that way because of our pans. Food was Horrible! Asked for light butter my toast you could squeeze out it was drenched couldn’t taste anything besides oily butter on the omelette, picked the omelette up with the fork and the plate was filled with oily butter. If you feel like you can’t use the bathroom come here I’m sure it will slide right out!

Ordered eggs over medium. Served lightly poached, wet and soggy eggs, that were barely cooked. The waffle was heavy and lacked flavor. The sausage was fine. It sounded like an argument occurred in the kitchen over recooking my eggs. The "not going to do it" apparently won out. Never cooked replacement eggs and didn't take the eggs off the bill, as they stated that they would.

Above and beyond excellent service and food was astronomical love it my wife loves the Reuben

We have eaten at this Darrell's many times over the years. We have always had great service and food. The servers are friendly and courteous. Clean restrooms too. All around great place to eat.

My 92 year old mom loves the onion rings here. We will often stop in while shopping and split the daily special and get an order of onion rings. The food is simple, hot and plenty of it.

Darrell's Diner (off SE Merricamp) used to be one of my favorite breakfast places. We walked out the last two visits (including this morning 5/27/2023). First time, we waited 45 minutes for our food and when they brought it out, it was not our food. The server said she forgot to put in our order. This morning, it was busy (no big deal). When the server came by our table (she didn't stop but while walking by us) rudely and with an attitude said it would be a while. I realize she was probably overwhelmed and perhaps she could have used more help but she was rude and certainly could have handled the situation much better. Sad!!!

Friendly service, food was served fast, hot and generous portions. Prices were very fair. Had to clean our own table and floors were messy after Saturday brunch rush . Otherwise would have made the 5 star mark.

I have only visited twice now, service was great just like the first time, the meal I ordered I really enjoyed. Looking forward to going there on my next visit, coming up soon.

My sons and I had plans for early morning fishing but slept past the clock, so our usual breakfast stop in town was no good at this hour, so thankfully as I'm going through the shores I passed a daryls diner, I've gone to many of the Daryls but didn't know one was out this far. Well the food was great, coffee was hot, everyone greeted me and my two crazy kiddos like they see me everyday. LISA W. WAS MY SERVER, I will never go to another Daryls except this one and it's because of her, and the over all delight it was to be around the staff. Daryls food is very much good at every location so due to the quality of the staff and lisa W. I will drive all the way from the other side of town just to have my breakfast here. Thank yall so much!!!

Everything about this place just sucked

I have been going to Darrells for several years without a problem until recently. I had stomach surgery last year and can only eat small amounts so I order the breakfast sandwich with the bread on the side as I cannot eat the gets or potatoes. The last couple times it has been conveyed to me that Darrell himself has forbidden this to be accommodated. What difference does it make if the kitchen puts my eggs on the sandwich or on the side. And why should I pay the extra for the potatoes/grits that will just be thrown away. Not good business Darrell.

Ever in Ocala this place is really good food great prices and staff are very friendly.

Good homestyle breakfast. I've never had lunch or dinner here, but it's an affordable, good breakfast. It's nothing fancy, it's food you can probably make at home, but it is a good weekend morning date.

Love Darrell's Diner as posted in another review they are the BEST hometown diner in flordia and would much rather go here than a fast food place any time.. Keep up the excellent work, and to the ladies who keep the whole place running, you guys are excellent severs. I never have to ask for anything, and my drink is always full.

Great restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served all day and is fantastic.

The maricamp location is the shores is my favorite location. I love breakfast food and the cook there is always on point.

The food is not too bad, but kind of expensive. The worst thing I hate about this restaurant is that before you even pay your bill they put a non cash fee on your bill. The fee was $1.53 and my bill before that was $38.24. It makes me want to tell everyone that I go there just because they don’t tell you ahead that they’re doing that they just put it on there!

Great place for breakfast if you like southern cooking. I have never left here hungry. Fast friendly service. They have good pricing.

Food is usually very good but this time our breakfast was cold, so we took it home and heated it up. Also they should go back to the old lunch menu items with the dinners on the menu.

I've never really understood the Darrell's restaurant. It's average food at above average prices. Nothing fancy and honestly Waffle House is a step up. Pancakes here are like sand and dry.

My husband and I usually go for brunch every Sunday. We always ask for our waitress, Nicole because she is just wonderful. She's always happy and provides service with a smile. She is also highly professional and quick! The food is great and the prices are awesome! Again, the establishment is great, but our waitress is what keeps us going back each time. Food is fresh and staff is friendly and attentive and the restraunt is clean. A very good way to stay your day. After several visits is also consistent. You don't have to be fancy to have good food.

Came in this morning and asked for eggs over medium, make sure the white is cooked.... I told Lisa I had eaten here before and they hadn't been cooked correctly to please just tell the cook. She laughed and said that's what over medium means! When she brought me the eggs she asked me to check them. When I cut them you could clearly see uncooked white. She smirked and said life's too short to worry about a little bit of uncooked white in the eggs..... Avoid this place if you don't want raw eggs!!!!

We tried to go in there for lunch today walked in and the waitress seem like we were inconveniencing her with picking our own table which she said was seat yourself so we went to another table and then she was telling us that we couldn’t sit there either so we left

The manager was so rude and their was flies in my food along with food caped up on my dishes from previous times..... seems like the tables don't even get washed off properly either..... This place is a disgrace and makes me lose my appetite quickly I will not be returning and I advice u not to go there either......

1st time I got my breakfast to go. I order 4 over med eggs, nacon, hashbrowns lightly cooked. When I got home , the hashbrowns where burthad to throw them out. Bacon was over cooked. I know I should checked my order before I left. Its my fault. Make sure you check your order before you leave.
