The food is delicious, the people are very friendly and the place looks very clean and tidy.

I come here at least once a week and pay up for extra things and always tip good! But after this being my second time eating inside I won’t come back! They don’t listen! Told them for here needed two drinks, had to go back and ask only to have the rude man throw the receipt in my face to prove they didn’t charge me! Well you should have because I asked TWO TIMES! How the Hell do I wash down my food…with AIR! Last time there was NO silverware or napkins and it smelled! So I’ll drive to Ocala before I give them my money again!

We had the shrimp and it was scrumptious.

Plenty of food on your plate, to much oil on the hibachi, but is okey if you're in a rush for food.

Excellent food, great employees, reasonable prices. I've only lived in Ocala 2 weeks. I've been Hibachi Express 4 times.

Overall, this was a great experience. The spicy tuna rolls were so different from others that I have tried, and I mean that in a good way. My family and I ordered a number of things and got to try some of everything. I will definitely be coming back for the laid back atmosphere, friendly service, and the amazing food!

The food is always amazing! And the customer service is on point.

Steak fried rice & chicken fried rice. They give you a lot of rice but when you order the steak fried rice they don’t give you much steak. Their sushi is smaller than Publix sushi and more pricier.

Ordered sushi - it wasn't good. Not fishy just not good. Service was very fast, place was clean.

Ordered the Teriyaki chicken, Hibachi chicken, and combination fried rice. They give big portions with Rice, and veggies the Teriyaki chicken was delicious, but the hibachi chicken was a little bland, wish it was more seasoned, and my hubby's combination fried rice was just a big bed of rice with all the meat on top. He thought it would be mixed in with some veggies in it like how fried rice is usually cooked. I would prolly come back for the Teriyaki chicken but not sure about the fried rice and hibachi chicken. Will try the steak and shrimp next time!

Very nice little place. The food was great and cooked perfectly! Pics arent the greatest because we were so hungry smelling the great food we dove right in.

I live for this food it awesome clean food. Various varieties you can find and the soup is on point. Let me not mention the sushi rolls 😋 totally satisfied

I had a Alaska salmon roll and I had to spit out my last 2 piece , the flavor was of and I was chewing it for while which is unpleasant. But the egg roll really help clean pallet . Sorry to write this review but I wasn't happy and my sister boston roll she just told me she had better other places with nice flavor . Miso soup help clean her pallet.

First time here. Had questions and they had the patience to answer them. I order the volcano sushi roll and it was good and fresh. I also tried another roll (I forgot the name) but I asked if they could alter some thing small and the older guy there jumped right up and said yes. No questions asked or charging more or anything like that. I really appreciated that specially since it was my first time. Totally will be back before we leave from Florida!

I've ordered from this place on many occasions. They were not allowing dine-in at one point, to give an example of time. I would say 95% of the time my food has been great -- there are those moments were something is off, but it'd be foolish to expect perfection every single time. That one off chance would never prevent me from coming back. I really enjoy the food and the staff have always been nice. It's a nice spot for "fast food" hibachi. Relatively quick with my longest wait being 15 minutes and that's rare.

I have eaten at the Hibachi Express since it opened. These are such hard working folks, food is always good, cooked fresh for each order and done quickly. I highly recommend Hibachi Express. Please give this wonderful little restaurant a try. You'll be glad you did!!!

I ordered the teriyaki chicken and there is no sauce on the chicken and the chicken look like it’s not even cooked but it is cook I called back and he said well that’s the way it is always. It’s always and I was it.

I really don't like giving poor reviews but this place just was not a good experience and I would hate for other people to come here and spend as much money as I did and get quality of food that's I could have gotten it Publix just as good maybe better possibly the service wasn't you know I mean they were there they took my order they were kind of like that friendly fake friendly kind of atmosphere and the guy making the sushi was very Gruff and the sushi was super small and it like I said it just doesn't taste that good funny thing a man came in and told me get the hibachi I didn't listen. I went there for the first time because the reviews said it was amazing. First thing when I went to go pay the lady behind the counter said my chip wasn’t working and when I told her you need to swipe it she said no just use Apple Pay she was fussing with her machine for about 10 minutes unplugging and plugging it back in. That’s fine it looked like an old machine. I got the Philadelphia roll, shrimp tempura roll, and crab Rangoon. The salmon in the Philadelphia roll tasted like the lox you get from the store. It was super salty and unpleasant. The shrimp tempura roll was dry and had no flavor. Lastly the crab Rangoon was slimy and had a sweet but also salty type flavor it was so bad I had to spit it out. Overall the food was awful and I’d rather go next door to Publix and eat their sushi.

Beware: if Allergic to Sesame Seeds… I normally do not write reviews. However, tonight my mother had a reaction to either the veggie fried rice or veggie Japanese Noodle (Yakisoba) at Hibachi Express after ordering to go (01/06/2023 at 7:13pm). Prior to ordering, I specifically asked to please ensure not to cook any of those two meals with “sesame seeds or sesame seed like oil products”, to which, the young lady behind the counter replied “we do not use sesame seed oils”. Unfortunately, when my mother finished eating, she had a reaction about 10 to 15mins. later, causing me to urgently purchase some Benadryl at the Walmart off of Maricamp Road close to the shores. At around 9pm, I went back to Hibachi Express in order to explain my displeasure. The female worker behind the counter was adamant that they did not use sesame seed oil and I was handed $10 (in cash) on a $60 order for my troubles. Luckily the reaction was suppressed by the Benadryl and no need for a hospital visit; although, I would caution anybody that may have an allergy sensitivity…

Great food. Geared for takeout. A few booths and tables are available. Clean and friendly . I would call it Asian Fusion.

Everything was just very bland. Very little flavor. The quality of the food was great however it was lacking much flavor.

They don’t listen to what you ask for n when you get home it not what i you ordered they rip me off I called n place the other again to see how much it come up to an when the know it was me they said I only order one thing of noodles n they to charge me 800 dollars for a small yum yum sauce not a happy customer I’m will go back to grace n pay a little extra at least I know my order will be right o yea as I was walking out from getting my food I seen to roaches on the table ask for my money back they told me to leave the store never again

Very good food and very consistent 👌 👍. Large scallops and yummy shrimp. Only problem I have is the veggies have no flavor. I always have to ask for extra saucey but never happens so I have to buy a sauce because we eat there so much. Also I add minced garlic (from the jar) to give it more flavor. It is very affordable though so I can't complain.

This is one of my favorite places!! I have ordered here plenty of times and have NEVER had any issues. They have made any accommodations I have requested without problems. Good prices for the portion sizes you get. I can never finish my food right away but it's so yummy!😭 Food is always still hot when it's delivered. Always tastes absolutely amazing. They have never disappointed me. Trust me when I say you've gained a customer for life!❤️❤️

We have ordered multiple times, and everytime we are thoroughly disappointed. The food is at most mediocre, small portions, and they forget something everytime. This time my partner ordered chicken katsu meal, which on the website comes with fried rice. Not only did our order have no rice at all, it was the blandest chicken I've ever had. We have given this place multiple tries, but we are done here.

First time here, will be a loyal customer from now on. Simply good food, I got the steak and shrimp fantastic taste, prep time about 10 mins. Great service.

Good is decent for the price. Basic sushi is really good. However the person who runs the register is the worst. Doesn’t understand you then gets an attitude when you try and clarify, then when your order comes out wrong she becomes so rude. Will not be Ordering from here no matter how decent the food is because of her.

Food is good but their Yakisoba is FAR from Yakisoba. Spent time in OKINAWA and I lived off of it and this is no more then regular Chinese Lo-Mein or other plain Asian noodles. Nothing close to the good stuff. Was excited for it but eh what a bust!!! Chicken Fried rice is fried rice with large chunks of chicken on the top of rice. Who does this ??

I am visiting from Ohio where we have delicious hibachi restaurants and take out. This is a Chinese restaurant masquerading as a Hibachi spot. I ordered a Hibachi salmon, hibachi veggies, spring rolls, and a veg sushi roll. The sushi roll was tiny, better off going to Publix. The hot food was obviously not made on a hibachi grill. It was just 2 scoops of barely fried rice and what appeared to be steamed, limp veggies with some very pathetic, thin salmon filet, and a watery flavorless juice. We ordered the spring rolls and they were soggy, like undercooked in the middle. I spent $35 for my mom and me just for her to come home and eat a bowl of cereal instead. Don't waste your time or money on this flavorless fake hibachi.

Loved the fact that I could have Sushi and my friend could have Chinese. Great idea.

Anyone who has something other than greatness to say doesn't know what they are talking about. Of course isolated incidents may occur but overall I have had nothing but amazing food here from kind & friendly staff. Ten minutes your food will be ready no question. Try the katsu chicken and get extra yum yum sauce it's the best!

Great food, great price! Better than Grace right down the road which has gone down hill since reopening.

When they first open it was great… prices were right and the food was fantastic. Now the food is barely cooked, the service is ridiculous. I ordered on the phone and was told to wait twice while I heard them yelling at each other in the background/answering other phone. I only ordered two house special mind you and two order of sushi. When I arrived my food was wrong and still up charged me to make the way I wanted it. I also remember hibachi in Tavares when you order house special they give you a side salad with the best dressing ever (if you know, you know) and a side of soup. Personally soup is whatever to me but it’s funny how Tavares it’s included but here they want to charge you for the soup. Even the sauce isn’t even the same.

The food advertised is not what is served. I asked about an picture that is shown and was told they don’t serve it. The white sauce is WATERY! When they first opened the food was flavorful but now it is bland. I would rather pay more for true Hibachi.

They have a great carry out menu, glad I have a pick up kinda family. Helps when your stuck at home

The food is usually good but the customer service from one of the males was terrible. He wouldn't take my order over the phone and then went off on me when I was asking questions about their prices. I was trying to be respectful but I decided not to order or trust anyone with my food that would be so disrespectful to me.

Fast good hot food, sushi is fresh and yummy. The young lady who is at the front counter taking orders all the time is so friendly and nice.

Just moved the to the area and have eaten here more times than I care to admit. So far everything I order is ready in 10 minutes so on my lazy days it’s hard to beat. Good portions and my husband says the sushi is good as well.

I have ordered from this place a few times and the serving sizes are usually ok I get the terryaki chicken and the hibachi chicken the meat is very dry and this time I got a two mean combo of shrimp and chicken it was$12.50 said for a large my son got a small chicken hibachi and got more than I did so for that much I should have gotten twice the meat very unhappy don't think I will be back wouldn't even waste my time to complain because they also have poor customer service

It is sit down restaurant quality with fastfood speed that we can enjoy at the comfort of my home! The food is always delicious and there is plenty to enjoy. Definitely recommend.

Ordered 2 hibachi dinners. One chicken teriyaki, and one steak. The chicken was okay, but the steak was terrible. I receive 8 small cut up pieces of beef jerky steak. And I was also missing a salad. After calling to see if there was a mistake I was told I was wrong about my issues. Trust me, spend the money and get the better quality restaurant.

Had high hopes! Very sub par food. No flavor. Bland at best. Have the salt or whatever you flavor your food with ready. They must rely on the sauce they give you to flavor the food (Habichi). Ordered fried rice... got white rice. Again.. why? Also ordered sushi. Foul odor and would not eat. Also missing several things on our order. Called the store...Whoever I spoke to did not seem to care. I was only looking to see why things were missed and if what we ordered was normally this way. Again they did not care. Will not return to this place.

Underwhelmed, the sushi was average at best. My hand rolls fell apart and there was little flavor in the sauces. The spicy mayo was not spicy.

They have a nice variety available of sushi and hibachi. I had a California roll, an eel roll, and miso soup. The tofu in the soup was too finely cubed, it was difficult to scoop up in the spoon, but it was still tasty. The miso was a little light and could have used more salt. But the rolls were great. Nice, sticky rice and fresh meat and veggies. Very good! The atmosphere is clean and modern. The counter service lady was friendly and helpful, she even cleared our dishes when we were done. Overall we enjoyed it very much and will definitely return.

The staff are plesent & they give you a good amount of food for price & its tasty as well the shrimp is med size not tiny skimpy I love it not spicy but tasty & delish the food is fresh not canned or boxed yummy stuff

We ordered hibachi chicken and teriyaki chicken and could not tell the difference. They both tasted exactly the same. The food was very bland, and I don't like a lot of spice at all. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I believe it should be called Sushi Express not Hibachi Express because there were many more sushi options than hibachi options. We don't eat sushi, so I have no review for sushi. We had seen mixed reviews, most good ones were for sushi. We will probably not return.

The place is nice, staff are nice, food is great would go again.
