David Allen catered our son 's wedding at the Morris Museum. My wife and I and my Son and now Daughter-in-law could not have been more pleased with the food they provided and their staff. From the fabulous Taco Bar to the Chicken Marsala and Eggplant Rollatini to the Desserts all was fabulous and considering all was made off premise and bought in makes it more to their credit. Would recommend them to anyone looking for a Caterer who pays attention to all details for a Special Event.

We had a family barbecue at our home a short time ago and went with David Alan. I work in the area of David Alan Market and we visit the establishment for lunch quite frequently, so we are familiar with their great food and service. One of the best catering experiences we’ve had. The staff arrived and were very prepared and attentive to every detail. We didn’t need to lift a finger…..the chefs even took out the trash afterwards!! The entire process was very straightforward from start to finish and the food choices were amazing. It was a birthday celebration for 40 people on our patio by the pool. Everything was perfect, from the planning to the execution. No surprises. The team was very professional, the food was tasty and in great presentation.

Absolutely wonderful experience for an outdoor wedding party at our home. Planning with Lisa was easy, she offered many suggestions and was able to accommodate many gluten-free choices. David Alan Caterers did a wonderful job of catering my Grandson’s Bar Mitzvah Kiddish on Saturday, April 13th at the Synagogue in Cedar Grove. Everyone there raved about the food! It was also presented beautifully! The staff were so pleasant, and professional making it so easy to rely on them to make sure everything went well, and it did!

David Alan Caterers, catered our Thanksgiving this past month and it was stupendous!!! We hosted our thanksgiving in Montclair, NJ and we coordinated ALL of it from California. We had not worked with a caterer in New Jersey before, but we will definitely use them again. Our point person was Lisa W., and she was on top of all of it!!!! The food was delish and the staff was spectacular. They handled everything for 20 people. Food, rentals and presentation. We can't recommend them enough!!!

What a great experience we had with David Alan Caterers. After a small handful of back and forth, they gave me exactly what I wanted for my daughter's bat mitzvah. They arrived on time to the temple, began work immediately, took charge to put things in the right place (even when it was not their job) and created 4 delicious stations and passed around appetizers and then desserts. I just had to pause writing this because a friend called to tell me how great the food was at the bat mitzvah! Funny timing. The staff was also very attentive and listened to any suggestions we had. In other words, I highly highly highly recommend this caterer.

David Alan Caterers catered our wedding this past weekend, and they were wonderful. The office staff is easy to work with and professional. They did a take-out style tasting for us beforehand, which was wonderful. We did a stations-style dinner in a tent in our backyard for the wedding. The food was delicious, all of the guests were commenting on how much they enjoyed the food. The staff was friendly, professional, and went above-and-beyond. The kitchen staff left my kitchen perfectly clean. All of the leftovers were wonderfully packaged for us. I would happily use this company again for another event, and recommend them wholeheartedly.

i contracted david alan caterers to help cater my son's engagement party. they were patient with me and my bazillion questions and menu changes; helpful in answering all questions about the party planning, rental equipment and servers/bartender/chefs needed; always got back to me in a timely manner, and knowledgeable about party planning and making my event the best it could be. they didn't disappoint. the food was delicious, the servers amazing, my guests were well taken care of, and they left my house as they found it. i would recommend david alan for all your catering needs!

We used David Alan Caterers for our July wedding. They were fabulous. Not only did they provide quality delicious food but they were there throughout the entire reception to ensure everything went smoothly and that my husband and I ate. Yes, it is a thing you will forget to do. They went above and beyond. And our guests are still talking about how good the food was and how much food we had at our wedding. They were not just a vendor they were there every step of the process and provide personal attention. We did not want a traditional sit down wedding, they listened and gave us exactly what we were looking for to make our wedding exactly how we wanted it.

The food is delicious! There is a great variety, many choices for what you're in the mood for. Staff is helpful and friendly. I've used them for catering which was spectacular!!

We use David Allen Caterer's all the time. They are prompt on delivery if not early and the service is amazing. Their products are fresh and delicious and the variety is amazing. Can't go wrong with David Allen!

Our office orders from David Alan's whenever we can. The food is delicious and they have an amazing selection. We have done small orders for 3 people and large orders for 25 people, and they always get the order exactly right. They have amazing attention to detail when it comes to creating the dish the way you want. Their pizza is great. The bread for their sandwiches if fresh and delicious and just right for each type of sandwich. They even have build your own salads, burritos, and mexican bowls that are a hit every time. And their bakes goods/ desserts are scrumptious. I highly recommend the Smore's dessert. They deliver locally and the food is ready fast and its made fresh. Their customer service is great too. 10 out of 10! Would recommend.

A little bit of everything but a lot of big flavors and choices in The Marketplace! LOVE their chopped salads (spicy cashew dressing is awesome!) and their pesto chicken salad is a favorite by itself or on focaccia. Daily hot food selections are great for lunch or for an easy delicious dinner when you don’t feel like cooking. Their catering side is full great choices for breakfast, lunch, dinner, apps, party stations, desserts…the list goes on! It was hard choosing just a few for an upcoming bridal shower, but I’m looking forward to tasting the winners. Wonderful staff and event planners too!

David Alan Caterers just supplied such a beautiful spread for a 40 person outdoor luncheon today. The sandwiches were so enticing and delicious, the fruit platter was gorgeous with perfectly ripe fruit, the salad and dressings were fresh and delicious, and the cookie platter had large delicious variety of cookies. Everyone agreed how beautiful and delicious it all was. The delivery was right on time and we thought the price was reasonable for what we received. I hired DAC for my parent's surprise 30th anniversary party and they were amazing! To be honest, I hadn't heard of anyone who had used this company so I was nervous but their organization beforehand made me feel comfortable. The day of the team was timely, organized, SO professional, and the food was UNREAL! Lisa planned an amazing menu for our Party Gras/Mardi Gras farewell party for our dear friends. The Bananas Foster station was a huge hit and a great surprise. The staff was terrific and did a great job!

Just ordered catering from David Alan Caters this past week for 4 straight days. My CEO and other visiting executives fell in love with all that I ordered, in particular their Italian Parmagiana option, meatball, eggplant & chicken sandwiches was an across the board hit. The Quiche assortment, also a win/win. Delivery to Bedminster is nice to have.

David Alan caterers served lunch, dinner and brunch at my home for a variety of bat mitzvah events. Everything was perfect. The menu was exactly what we were looking for, with a kiddush lunch, a classy dinner, and a brunch that included both waffle and omelette stations. Throughout our events, the weather was cold and very rainy, and our events were in tents outside. The staff handled these challenges like pros, seamlessly moving between the inside and outside spaces. The food was delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. I honestly could not have asked for more. I highly recommend this group for your next at home affair.

Lisa Wesselius really poured her heart & soul into helping me make Isabella’s Christening stupendous. My brother who never gives a compliments said “Roey you have to plan all of our events!” My sister in law wrote to me “Isabellas christening was absolutely amazing!!! Roey you transformed your yard into the One&Only ocean club It was exquisite!!!! Everything the food flowers music tables!! And the orchids in your wedding vases omg lov love loved them up there on bar!! The whole thing It made you feel like you were away somewhere” David even phoned me directly the day beforehand to make sure I knew he was getting us a clam ice sculpture for the gulf shrimp! The detailed signature cocktails were a huge hit alongside the delectable appetizers to the scrumptious main course. Our entire family & friends are still raving about the party. My cousin said it was the event of the century! The entire staff ran by Lauren stupendous! Her desserts ALL fabulous, DELICIOUS! The zeppole scrumptious! My Aunt said she hasn't had a cannoli as delicious as that in quite some time. The cross cookies I craved and the key lime pies delectable. Since I first connected to put together my event with Lisa I was really impressed by her attention to detail and the time she dedicated to following up and making sure we had everything we needed. Elmer arrived on time and ready to go. He was prepared with everything and took charge with pulling it all together and setting everything up. He was extremely professional and I noticed the level of care he took to make sure everything went smoothly and everyone had what they needed. He was knowledgeable about all the food being served and I was able to sit back and enjoy my company because I knew he had everything under control. I truly look forward to hosting my next gathering and having the David Allen team there.

We ordered Passover dinner for 5 and it was amazing! The number of items included is generous (we had leftovers-Yum!) as were the portion sizes. He thought of everything and that made our holiday a pleasure. The food was so delicious and fresh. We will be back for other holidays!

I LOVE THEIR FOOD!!! What I LOVE even more is the fact that Stacy(the owner) reached out to me personally to apologize for the small mix up with my sandwich. I called in and ordered a breakfast sandwich (bacon & egg) which apparently they no longer make. When I arrived to my office, I opened the sandwich to find it had cheese on it. I called in to the location, asked to speak with a manager and spoke to Stacy...Well, she apologized profusely for the SMALL mix up and she did explain that the gentleman that took my call was NEW and that they no longer made breakfast sandwiches however, because I had already ordered and I was a regular she made the sandwich for ME anyway. In addition, she had it delivered to my office! It was perfect! I have been eating at this location for a long time and the food is always fresh and always good. The point system they have for free food is awesome as well! One day I walked in and Mr. Alan himself was walking around serving the patrons that had to go orders...slices PIZZA! This place will always get my business and the company I work for loves them too!

David Alan was our wedding catering company and they are great! Not only the food was so great that a lot of guests talked about it with us after, Meghan and the lady onsite for us that day were very pleasant to work with. They helped us with our table plan, answered general questions about wedding and communicate with the venue so we don't have to go back and forth. On the big day, the staffs helped us with the table centerpieces we brought ourselves and they did it perfectly. The guests were happy with the food and were taken good care of during the dinner. We are so happy we found them and trust on their professionalism.

Second time going for lunch and it was great.

I heard of this place from a friend and decided to try it for lunch. I decided on the build your own bowl/ salad. I picked my favorite vegetables, proteins, toppings and dressing. A hefty serving and my ingredients in my bowl we’re well mixed which I really liked. The ingredients were fresh and tasted good. Very clean energy for the body. Will buy again.

Hired for a family bbq. We included a griller and he did a great job preparing, serving and cleaning up. Good food, good service and pricing was reasonable. Would use them again!

The place is a bit of a find. My first time there and other than the fact that the name sounds like it should be a hair salon it's a pretty good little lunch place. 4 out of 5 stars is actually a very good rating from me. I will definitely be back and look forward to trying additional items that they have to offer.

Had the pleasure working with Larry and David...offsite corporate event for 80 people...couldn't have picked a better caterer! They worked with me over the phone for the entire (seamless!) planning. They did full setup and breakdown/cleanup. Food was great. Would definitely use again!
