Dharma Southern Chick'n, previously known as Dixie Dharma, has rebranded and moved to the Cheney Collective food hall in Orlando. During a recent visit, I tried the classic chicken sandwich, which delivered on both flavor and texture. My partner opted for the chick'n parm, paired with sides of crispy Brussels, cheesy homies, and garlic mac n cheese—each dish was a standout in its own right, bursting with flavor and well-seasoned. The new location at Cheney Collective adds a fresh energy to the brand, making it a must-visit spot for both vegans and anyone who enjoys Southern-inspired cuisine.

Service is great- guy at register very helpful and friendly. I have to be honest. The fries are some of the worst I've ever had. So soft and mushy. The Classic Clucker sandwich is okay, but nothing to write home about

Mac & cheese Fried pickles Buffalokra Buffalo chicken sandwich Kids nugz and fries $50+/- Fed a family of four and had some leftover, but mainly because no one was into the mac. Food was great and relatively quick. The pickles weren't greasy, which is hard to find! Kids say the chicken was the most legit vegan chicken they'd ever had, but change the cheese on the mac. If only we had room leftover for the Valhalla Bakery that shares the space. Heads up, there's a window seating and a few tables outside, but not a lot.

Love love this place my first time..I'm not a vegan but I enjoy eating healthy.,I didn't want any soy so I ordered the scrumptious bbq jackfruit with brussel sprouts and an amazing salad.. yummy yummy 😋 .I will definitely come back again 😁💯

This was my first time here. I’m not even vegan, and the food here was amazing! I think I will be vegan after this. The customer service was stellar, as I was immediately greeted upon entering, and I love the raw edge wood in dining area. I ordered the meatloaf sandwich w/fries. It filled me right up. Such a hidden gem.

Great for a quick little vegan food stop!! The fried okra was my favorite alongside their caesar chick’n sandwich. I found their mac to be a little paprika-y but still good! Worth a try!

Looking at this place from the outside, you wouldn’t expect much. However, the atmosphere inside is so comfortable and people like Jaylon really make you feel at home. I’d like to start off by saying I am decidedly NOT vegan, but my partner is a vegetarian and wanted to try this place out. Both of us were blown away. The love they put into the food is just unmatched. Everything was so well-seasoned, it looked phenomenal, and it was out to us in a timely manner. Jaylon was a sweetheart, and my partner and I will definitely be back.

This was my first time trying their food and I’m hooked. Jaylon was so nice and made time to answer my questions. The food was affordable and delicious and massive. If every place was like this more people would be vegan, but even my non vegan partner loved the food. Seriously could see this franchised and would absolutely love to.

For vegetarian or vegan lovers this is the place. The Buffalo Chikn was absolutely mouth-watering and the Georgia sloppy joe sandwich 😝 I am a fan of anything garlic and so I was very pleased with the garlic Mac and cheese. I will most definitely be back!

this restaurant’s food is so good that i came here 6 times in 3 days. every time i was in orlando i was dying to try dharma’s, but it was during the reconstruction period and i was never able to do so. the new location is small and consists of a few spaces to eat indoors and outdoors as well as a pickup counter and valhalla bakery (more vegan goodies) on your left. the first time i was finally able to try dharma’s i ordered the georgia peach sloppy joe and a side of mac n cheese— it immediately made its way onto my “favorite restaurants of all time” list and is staying there permanently. i joined the rewards program. i could go there and ask them to give me a completely random order and i’d be happy with whatever i got (i tried most of the menu in that 6 days)! the food has always been ready in good time and i was always happy with my service. although i’ve tried a lot of the menu, a few of my favorites are the georgia peach sloppy joe, caesar sandwich, and the mac n cheese. the adult chick’n nuggets are also an honorable mention! the portion sizes are large and the sandwiches are packed with flavor and toppings. everything is well-seasoned. i would 100% recommend coming here to eat and i give all my love to the staff and chef and everybody who puts their love into this food and service :) edit: i’m not going to lie, the quality in food has definitely gone down a little since they reopened - at this point, it’s really hit or miss. i first tried dharma when they reopened after a long closure and location change and i was very impressed by the quality and portion of food; lately, they’ve been a lot stingier with the portions and i’ve definitely noticed that the food is saltier and not as well-prepared. i’ve noticed a difference in quality (especially by the photos i’ve taken) starting from when they reopened, and nowadays i notice things like chick’n pieces that take up about half of the bun, smaller and soggier buns, extremely salty food, and the occasional burnt piece of food. the portions vary extremely, from just a few fried pickles and half a patty to a whole box of pickles and a packed sandwich; i don’t really know what im gonna get when it comes to any of the items i’m ordering, and i’ve found it really discourages me from picking up food there. for example, the georgia peach sloppy joe is my favorite item there and i originally loved how much beef they piled on and the amazing flavor. the flavor is still there, but the last time i picked up from here the sandwich was barely filled and mostly bun; the sandwich was insanely salty too. that being said, the workers are still nice and the food does taste pretty good. it isn’t as good as it used to be but it isn’t bad. for the price, however, i wouldn’t choose to pay this much for something that i know HAS been so much better in the past, even if i was willing to pay that much before.

The portion sizes were so tiny. I got a burger with a huge bun, but the patty was only half the size, it half of the burger was just bread and lettuce. It wasn’t even filling. The nuggets were also tiny and they were served cold (even though we ordered in person and ate right there)

My sandwich was awful & I threw most of it away . It’s a tofu patty - I was expecting another source of “meat” and it wasn’t warm. The Mac and cheese was creamy and pretty delicious. But this establishment was adjacent to a vegan bakery and I was most happy with that.

Wish they had tomato slices on the burger. The Nashville spicy was 👌. They have valhalla bakery besides and that is ✨as well.

Everything is delicious, and my partner and I go here often for the best seasoned vegan fried chicken ever! It’s very high quality vegan chicken. I love the Caesar clucker and my boyfriend loves the Buffalo clucker with candied jalapeños with griddled onions and a side of cheese homies. He’s in heaven every time. Also don’t miss out on the chicken nugz with a side of honee, it’s incredible!

Everything about this place is amazing. The people here are so friendly, the food tasted great, there's even a little bakery connected! I got the spicy Buffalo sandwich and it was perfect. Not overly spicy. There wasn't anyone else here at the time but I hope this place has busy moments to keep it open. I will say 45 dollars for 2 sandwiches, 2 fries and 2 drinks seemed pricey. But having a good experience helped justify the price.

Small little restaurant out of the way of things but WOW!!! A must try. We had the krispy brussels, Mac and cheese, the classic and the BBQ chicken sandwich. All delicious and it was genuinely hard to tell that it was all plant based and not real meat.

Came all the way from Milton Ontario to give this a try while in town. Was top of my to do list and did not disappoint. The staff are super chill and helpful. Explained the diverse menu and took time explaining about the sauces and sandwiches. Texture was amazing. Ordered the nuggets too just to try and they were on point. Nice little patio to enjoy the food. Can't wait for our next Florida trip later this year to stop by again. Check this place out!

Was recommended this place by a friend, finally got a chance to go this trip. I got the Nashville, Cheesey Homies & Mac n cheese. The sandwich had the right amount of spice & wasn't drenched with sauce. Homies were crispy & cheesey. The Mac n Cheese was delicious. I'm glad it didn't have a weird aftertaste like most other places do. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They share a space with a bakery, which is also friendly (non vegan). I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

Date night with my BF was a success due to the great food. Location is a bit different but they make it work. The prices are good for vegan food that we can eat and not worry about cross contamination. Service was friendly and detailed on explaining the menu. Maybe using a toothpick to keep the sandwiches together may help as they are messy. New go to place for us. Highly recommended.

Fried okra was fantastic. BBQ could do without the sweet relish though, and soda options should expand in the future. All in all a solid vegan meal.

First time I try Fries pickles and are good the chicken sandwich is good the Buffalo sandwich is good but is to salty for me the staff super friendly clean place and the other but is they don't have any trash cans inside the building but outside they have 2

What a fantastic piece of chick'n. When Dharma says they specialize in chick'n, they mean it. We both had the BBQ Big Clucker sandwich and shared an order of fries. First, the chick'n was cooked perfectly with that crisp outside and a tender middle. Then the BBQ sauce was so good I would probably drink it. The cheeze melted like real cheddar, I remember. The fries were hot and tasty; next time, I will get a side of BBQ. Yes, it is that good. Vegan done right; the Old Cheney Hwy area is lucky to have Dharma, and it is great to see them doing well. If you like vegan/vegetarian, give them a try. They are in a collective, so be prepared to be lured to the Valhalla Bakery counter—a great date night.

I loved Dharma when they were at their previous location, and they’ve continued to be incredible. Absolutely one of the best vegan spots in town, and you don’t even have to be vegan to thoroughly enjoy it. I kid you not, best vegan mac and cheese you will ever eat!!! I’m also a huge fan of their big honee nugz, crispy brussel sprouts, OG chick’n sandwich, and their GA peach sloppy joe. Yesterday my boyfriend tried the Phish sandwich and was raving about it. Also everything was particularly on point — fries were especially perfectly seasoned and crispy — we had to ask who was in the kitchen that day! Shout out to our guy Lance! No matter when we’ve come, the service is always quick, and everything is fresh. The other great thing about this spot is it shares space with Valhalla Bakery — so many incredible desserts, it’s hard to pick just a few! And we also walked up to Jenisprouts on the top floor of the building — a new plant shop that is super cute! Definitely will be coming back.

This is a plant-based restaurant but you would know it was!! I recently had an outstanding experience at Dharma Southern Chick'n. The food has always been good, but this time it reached divine levels. The phish sandwich was a first try—perfectly crispy filets with an optimal crunch, making every bite savory and delightful. The fries were flawlessly crispy and seasoned. My girlfriend enjoyed the big nugz with Mac and cheese; the honey drizzle and seasoning made each bite mouthwatering. The Mac and cheese, usually a bit spicy, hit just the right note this time. The only suggestion I have is to find a way to prevent the phish fillets from falling out—perhaps cutting the sandwich in half. We were so impressed that we had to find out who cooked our meals, and Lance was the culinary genius behind it. Next time, we'll be sure to call ahead and see if Lance is in the kitchen. Can't wait for our next visit to Dharma Southern Chick'n!

Even non-vegan eaters will like the food here. Well seasoned and tasty. Would absolutely buy from here again.

I’m kind of bummed because the Mac n cheese isn’t the same as before when they were in a different location. I come from Miami and make it a point to stop by even if it’s out of the way so I was a bit bummed. Maybe next time. People there are super nice though

It is okay. The service is nice and the place is fine, but the food is subpar. Now I will preface this by saying that I am not a vegan and your pallette may take a liking to this, but mine did not find it to be anything special (and the aftereffects were not too kind either). Overall it is not terrible, but it is not a can't miss spot either. If you're curious, it may be worth a try and if you're vegan, I am sure others will provide a more detailed review for you.

Worth the trip! Everything we tried here was amazing. Best vegan chicken I've ever tried! I was about halfway through the Caesar chick'n sandwich when I remembered that it was vegan. The GA peach sloppy joe was full of flavor, the brussels sprouts were perfectly cooked, the fried pickles were deliciously crunchy, and the cheesy hommies were awesome! I just wish we lived closer...

This place is awesome. I got the kids Chick’n and fries meal, BOGO...thanks Uber Eats. But yeah, the Chick’n was fabulous. My daughter and I ate really well. This is the spot. I'm saddened it took me so long to find this wonderful establishment.

The best plant burger I've ever eaten! We ordered the classic and BBQ burger with mac and cheese and fries. All of the food was delicious and we will be returning again soon. I had high expectations after reading other reviews and they were surpassed. Staff were very friendly. Cannot recommend this place enough, wish we had one in the UK.

Not a Vegetarian here by any means but I would absolutely come back for these sandwiches. Tasty and delicious, almost sad I didn't take a picture. I've had other plant based chicken sandwiches in Winter Park and honestly, these look and taste better.

Vegan fast food at its finest! Seriously, being vegan/vegetarian sometimes means… no yummy fast food. But the thing is, you really don’t want fast food because it’s bad for you… well not this! Deliciously prepared by hand, high quality, amazing! Everyone was super nice! This place is the best!

We visited Orlando this past weekend. We ate there on Friday and on Monday. Very friendly employees and very helpful. All of the sandwiches and sides are delicious. It was so good, we ate there 2 times!

Honestly the best tasting plant based sandwich I have ever had. I had the Nashville Big Clucker and it was perfect, just the right amount of spice. The mac and cheese is also delicious! I will be more than happy to take the trip from Cocoa Beach again in the near future.

My first time having a vegan/plant based Nashville Hawt "chicken" sandwich and it was really delicious, very moist, tender, flavorful and well balanced and I had fried okra as a side, which was lightly breaded and seasoned well. The people who work here are very helpful, welcoming and courteous which made the overall experience exceptional. I would highly recommend trying this place if you haven't and I'll definitely return to try more of the menu.

I ate here twice at the new location and was disappointed each time. The service is great, but the food is not as good as it used to be. The first time I purchased a salad. It was a pretty big portion which is a plus. But the chips were throwing me off and the pickled onions were sliced very large and one pack of dressing is not enough. The second time I order the buffalo okra: great flavor but there was too much buffalo sauce, completely soaking the okra at the bottom of the box, Brussel sprouts: great flavor but over-cooked and completely drenched in the sweet syrup sauce, and Mac & cheese: it was nice and creamy but lacking flavor and too thick. I would’ve liked a smaller serving considering how thick and rich it was. The nuggets were ok. Not bad at all. Great price overall, just wish it was better quality
