Incredible food, and very nice people. My favorite spot!

Me and my lady stopped in close to closing time. I've been eyeing the place for years since I live close-by in the summer. I have been avoidant of some local Mexican joints due to the lack of authenticity that I am used to, being from an area that is truly authentic. However, being there for many years says alot! And they are the real deal! Although they were at the end of their day, Aldo asked the crew what they could serve still, and Tacos de Pollo (chicken tacos) was one of the items! We had 2 orders with rice and beans and it was fantastic! And, as an added bonus my girl wanted that anyway, so it was a HIT! As soon as I lifted the bag I realized it was weighty! And the aroma on the way to our favorite picnic spot was tantalizing! The food was perfect! And even the limes were juicy! It was $21 for both orders and on top of that, I got luckier than I have in years!!! SCORE!!!

Found this place driving back from the beach and it did not disappoint! Amazing food and service. Everything was cooked to perfection and the staff was very friendly.

I wanted something that I had ordered in other restaurants but did not know the name. Aldo had me explain and told me what it was . Turns out , it was even better than I had at other Mexican restaurants!!! Absolutely the best Mexican food around!!!!!!!!

I got the chicken burrito. There was hardly any chicken in it, it was all rice, beans, and lettuce, a waste of my $12. Would never go back, avoid this place, it's not worth it.

I've been out in this area for about four years now and I've tried a lot of Spanish & Mexican places. This is hands-down, my favorite so far. All the ingredients tasted super fresh and the steak This is hands-down, my favorite so far. The Steak Azteca Salad was excellent. I would've been in a photo, but I devoured it in about five minutes. Will definitely be ordering from this place again.

Delicious food and the best birria tacos on the east coast HANDS DOWN

I ordered shrimp burrito. It was very large and full of rice and beans. It has a good flavor, but not enough shrimp. The guacamole was very good as was the tostones.

Always great food and fresh. Chicken Fajita burrito is awesome and might as well grab an empanada while you’re there.

Stumbled upon El Mexico Lido during a late-night drive down the shore with my girlfriend and it was a game-changer. Authentic tacos that were beyond delicious turned our hunger into a memorable feast. Exceptional flavors, warm service, and a night made awesome by the best tacos around. Can't wait to return!

Was craving authentic tacos and this place is definitely worth it. Steak and Al pastor were full of flavor. Also had the rice, beans, and tamales which all felt like home cooking :) They’re also super nice and welcoming!

My boyfriend and I found this restaurant after not having luck finding food that looked good as well as affordable at the boardwalk. I can not say enough good things about this place!! Aldo made the whole experience here amazing with his fantastic service! Not to even mention how absolutely delicious the food is!! As a vegetarian it is hard to find good food while dining out but this restaurant had a vast variety of vegetarian options. We had to order seconds because it was so delicious!! The portions are the perfect size and the prices are affordable! Everything here was absolutely wonderful and I 100% recommend stopping here for some food!!

Excellent little spot! Owner was so welcoming, enthusiastic and very proud of his food. I had shrimp 🌮 and my husband had an amazing beef. Our son brought home a shredded pork platter. Haven’t had Mexican this good in a while!

Placed order put me on hold 4 times... Waited gave order repeated i can't count that high. Way too busy to accept order or produce food. Was going to hang up but proceeded. I never had Mexican food with NO FLAVOR.. All fillings no meat ,no spices ALL FILLER. It was all thrown together. Burritos unraveled when picked up. All the filler fell out.. What a disappointment.. Worst $125.00 dollars i ever spent...

We’ve been going here for our take out Mexican food for years. Always very pleased with the food overall, our favorites are the chimichanga, as we get them nearly every time. The last time we ordered, we were also offered to get Chicharrone (fried pork skins with meat and fat left on). These are one of my favorite snacks, so whenever they are offered anywhere, I have to try them. These were the best Chicharrones I’ve ever had, hands down!!!! Do yourself a favor and get them whenever they are offered. I will be asking for them every time, but I don’t know if it’s just a special item.

Chicken taco was lacking flavor Chicken chimichanga was Cripsy and cheesy. What really made the food good was the hot sauces which are all made in house. Service was great, owner was very nice and passionate about his food

I’ve been coming at least once a month lately. Our favorite authentic Mexican food in the area. With so many big chain competitors in the area (that don’t come close to Mexico Lindo) I will continue to choose them time and time again. The best in ocean county for SURE. Service is always amazing, food is always delicious. 10000/10

Very nice waiter its been a while since i had exceptional and great service while eating out but!!!! 5 stars for him. Place is quiet. Number one thing to eat here tacos al pastor mexican style though only missing the pineapple but sooooo good and fresh!! Will be returning!

Me and my fiance' came here for the first time a few days ago. We are always looking for some good authentic Mexican food. The food is absolutely amazing we both loved it. Especially her being from LA she has had some amazing Mexican food. I definitely recommend this place to anybody who loves authentic top quality food, with great service and a very friendly and welcoming staff. We are actually ordering again three nights later. I forgot to mention the portions are very big and so very well priced. We actually had leftovers for a couple days.

Great food from a family restaurant

Delicious delicious! We were feeling like Mexican for dinner tonight so we just goggled Mexican restaurant near us. We stumbled upon this place and we were so happy we did. We sat outside in the little back patio (which was cute- it was a nice night). My boyfriend got the carne asada and I got the burrito Verde. We also got the maduros. The carne asada was the best we have ever had. It was tender and delicious. The maduros were cooked perfectly - caramelized and chewy and delicious. Support your local businesses and definitely try this place. It is the real deal Mexican food

Fantastic, authentic Mexican food. Best on the shoreline. The carne asada is exceptional, as are the maduros. Service is fast and cordial, and the serving size is large and a good value. This is now my go-to for Mexican take-out or outdoor dining.

This place is incredible! I was really blown away by their carne asada (skirt steak). It was so tender and practically fell apart when I cut it. The flavor was unbelievable and the onions on top were amazing. Every bite I took I kept saying omg this is so good. Best skirt steak I ever had and I have high standards for food! My husband always gets the taco platters and is always impressed as well. This is definitely authentic food! We got take out and I couldn’t believe how good and hot it was even eating it at home. I know they have a little quaint court yard in the back that you can eat at too which I will definitely be back to try out. Every time I’ve picked up from there the people are always so super nice to me as well. I will be back for sure!

Bit on the pricey side but good food

The food was decent. Rice was over cooked and dry refried beans were bland. Cheese wiz sauce on nachos. Tostones were awesome. Service was great as well. Rice and beans are a mexican staple and reflects the overall dish.
