Unbelievable! Beautiful place inside and out. Unfortunately we have no idea about the food and drinks. Carlos....the manager was more interested in his phone than greeting his guests at the bar. We had to speak first and he responded without even looking up from the phone. One of his waitresses even spoke to him and pointed to us. We got up and left. Absolutely will never go back. Hey Carlos...if you are there to work....then work. Your phone can wait until your patrons are waited on.

My alcoholic beverage, food add the service was exceptional highly recommended and it will be my new Mexican restaurant happy to drive across town to eat here

This squirrel 🐿️ and momma squirrel were looking for a new place, visited here, not what I was hoping for. Food was ok. Very gourmet Mexican cuisine, with that price $$$$ and soda by the can. Don't expect complimentary chips and salsa they don't do that. The host and staff was friendly 😀 and the food was good, but it didn't impress me for the money 💰.

Terrible customer service here. I walked out and left the food on the table untouched. Although the food looked delicious, I refused to be treated with total disregard of my request for sour cream and guacamole.

The quality of the food itself was good, but the guacamole was not mashed hardly at all. We had to use a fork and knife and get to work on it. Also, my quesadilla had no cheese on it. Probably won’t come here again.

Ask for the house hot sauce! (If you like the heat) Service was friendly and fast, food was great, and the hot sauce was authentic.

Beautiful Mexican restaurant. Love the atmosphere and the waiting staff is always friendly. Some of the food could use just a touch more seasoning in my opinion is all.

find out what Caldo de Res really is. What I got was a nasty looking soup with a pound of salt. when I complain about it all I got was "sometimes it comes out that way" 17 dollars any can soup is much beater then what the serve

Service and food was great! Our two young children actually ate majority of their plates which is wild. My husband is picky/particular about textures - he commented that he liked that the beans and salsa were actually smooth

The salsa was amazing, a little spicy so beware bc I can handle spice but this was borderline what I could handle. BOGO margaritas are always great. I got the enchiladas and sadly was less than impressed. My husband got the burrito and enchilada and he was also not impressed. The mango margarita was a bit too sweet. There was a very nice atmosphere though. TBH if you're just going for a snack and some drinks I'd recommend. If you're looking for dinner maybe try someplace else.

Nailed it. Good food. Plenty of room, no claustrophobia. Fast service, clean and pretty generous menu with nice mix of unique cuisine. Didn't break the budget and everyone loved their food.

I always enjoy eating here. My food has been good when I have eaten here. As with most restaurants, some of the servers are better than others. I really like their salsa.

El Patron has absolutely the best Mexican food in Pensacola for a sit down restaurant. The service is friendly, the food is always fresh and delicious, and the prices are very reasonable. It is a hidden gem, and I have to give credit where credit is due.

We go here on Sundays after grocery shopping etc. Their lunch menu is great plus you can't beat 2 for 1 margaritas!

Typical Mexican American restaurant. Don't get the seafood cocktail, I got sick, DO get the margaritas! they were on point. The waiter was great and attentive, great service, my wife's food was fine, nothing special. Would only go back for the drinks, chips, and salsa.

Great place! Food was great, guacamole was very fresh. Atmosphere was incredible. We had a birthday girl and staff came out with some sort of dessert, sombreros and sang for her. Food came out pretty quick considering we were a party of 10.

When my party of 12 ordered, I told the waitress that I myself was not eating. Not strange? 11 other people ordering food, and I'm just going to nurse a soda while we chitchat. However, after an hour of waiting for our food, the waitress came back to ask me what I was eating. Nothing. NOTHING! she leaves and then a manager comes to the table to ask me for clarification, WHAT am I eating? Nothing, I'm fine! Not a thing! Now, only then, after that, did the waitress place our orders. I will never return, mostly because this place is out of my way, however if the opportunity should ever arise to return, I will opt for literally anywhere else. And I would like to add, adding the tip directly to the bill, to be paid regardless of how poorly they serve you, way a real stick in the eye.

I ordered Alfredo and then they said they only had enough for 2x but they gave my sister her Alfredo with chicken then gave her a whole new Alfredo that they got somehow but didn’t give mine and I had to order something else😡

I sat at the bar last night and had some Texas fajitas, they were some of the best fajitas I’ve ever eaten, the gentleman behind the bar gave excellent service also.

The place is bigger than expected and the atmosphere was fun but the lighting was a little too low. The chips and salsa were good but a little under seasoned. Our kids loved the hot and spicy beef burrito. The Molcajete had lots of flavor and lots of meat. We were disappointed with the Texas Fajita's. The meat became very dry and overcooked. We were told it's because of the skillet, but this is the first time we have experienced this.

It was so bad never go here. The meat was spongy and the hard shells were stale. Just never never go there it is the worst Mexican I have ever had.

Our first time here was last night and we WILL be back! Food, drinks, service, EVERYTHING was FANTASTIC!

Save your self the trip. It could have been a bad night but we had a party of 5, service was ok. But the food just was not good at all. Cheese dip came out cold, food was bland, I didn’t get my food when everyone else did and then they came to ask if everything was ok about 5 minutes later and I just said yeah just waiting on my fajitas, she said oh I know and came back few minutes later with the skillet. It wasn’t sizzling like the others that came out. All the meat was tasteless, cold and dry. The shrimp was like salad topper shrimp. The rice and beans portions were laughable. Margarita tasted like straight sugar. Waitress was ok but she seemed moody. Probably a long work day so we didn’t really care much. But the food just sucked. Just don’t go here lol

The restaurant is very nice, but the service and the food were not, the mojarra had no flavor, I had to add salt to each bite and it was also too funny, the girl who served us forgot about us, it took them approximately 40 minutes to bring out the food. . The rice was cold, I asked for a side of “hot” rice and they brought me a hot plate with cold rice. I honestly didn't like the attention. It was very unpleasant!

The food and service was great. The only thing I really didn’t like was the how dark it is inside.

Everything is great!! I'd definitely go back. The con that I have is that the 1st time we went, they tried to over charge me and tell me that there was no way around it. That wasn't cool at all. The 2nd time we went, it wasn't busy at all. The issue was that we could never find out waiter and when we were ready to go, I had to go get my own to-go box because we couldn't find the waiter and we waited forever to receive our check. Once they fix those issues, they'll be great!!

They have great 2 for 1 margaritas all day every day. I suggest the bean dip it's amazing. All the food is great. We go at least once a week.

Alway love the food here!! Usually get together but came in on a Saturday and they had live music and it was soooo awesome and mix was great so wish I had ate in that night! Great atmosphere keep the live music it is great!

This place is the chefs kiss! The flavors, the staff and our waiter was TOP NOTCH! I didn’t want for anything. Fernando is phenomenal.

Came to eat at this place while on vacation. The food was good not the best Mexican food I have had especially coming from Texas but it did the job. The portions are large and the price was affordable. Our waiter was nice and attentive. The margaritas are huge!! Overall a good experience .

Forgot to half of my Togo order had to turn around come back and wait another 15 minutes for the other half of my food

Great Mexican restaurant close to NAS Pensacola. Authentic atmosphere with excellent food and service. Parking is a little tight but worth any inconvenience. Buy one get one free Margaritas really set the tone for a fun experience.

Had Steak Fajitas and chips /salsas, asked for extra salsas & had 5 flour tortillas. Drank ice water with slice of lemon. Bill was $14.40, gave $17.00

Beautiful place, horrible management. I’ve tried to contact the owner over some legal issues and their manager is extremely rude! Carlos has a nasty attitude but when confronted plays the victim. Please do not work here if you’re thinking about it. And if you do, make sure you have documentation of them violating workers right. Know your rights!

I tend to stray away from Navy blvd for my food needs but after 4 yrs of driving past, I finally gave it a try. I feel silly for taking so long to eat here. I ordered the Grilled Chicken taco salad and it was very good! That chicken was some of the best I have ever had in a Mexican restaurant. Succulent, well-seasoned and melts in your mouth somehow. The spinach dip was ok, it seemed like it was microwaved because the outside was warm but the center was cold. Service was great until asking for the check, which took almost 10mins to receive.

Overall the restaurant was good. Clean and friendly attentive service. BUT when I asked if I could get a cup of soup, I was told yes. The server should have said no, them inform me they only serve bowls of soup. May not sound like a big deal, but the bowl of tortilla soup was $13. I would have happily declined that. So pay attention to prices and ask questions. The BOGO margaritas were $13 too. So over priced margaritas then call it a BOGO? Lessons learned on my part. So for a bowl of soup and BOGO margarita my bill was over $30.

Was staying at hotel next door, didn't want to drive anywhere. Late afternoon. Seated immediately. Very friendly staff, excellent service. Excellent food. Lime margaritas were excellent. Nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Great at the table guacamole. Great queso and two for one margaritas. Great tacos and fish with simply the best fries ever (who knew), and great taco salad! The freshest flan ever. The best waiter, Alfredo. Thank you el Patron for never disappointing! You’re the best.

Best Mexican food in Pensacola #1

We have been here twice recently and had a wonderful experience both times. Our server, Fernando was amazing! Polite, quick and incredibly accommodating. Everyone in our group felt the same. We all enjoyed our meals. It wasn't a gourmet restaurant, but we didn't pay gourmet prices. Lol Everything was delicious and most of us had leftovers. We will definitely be back!

I have picked up take out a couple of times. Food is ready quickly, service is great and the food is delicious.

Food was very mediocre. Chips and salsa were one of the worst ive had yet and ive eaten Mexican in Mexico, all over the USA and abroad. Pity, because without a good chip and salsa it's hard to leave a good review.

I ordered the steak fajitas quesadilla. It has very little cheese in it and poorly seasoned cheap fajitas meat. This was my second time coming here, giving it a second chance. But I won't be back.

Quesa birria was super flavorful and delicious! Service was very patient and attentive. Only semi negative was the table we were sat at could've had a little more room. Only 2 of us and we were kinda hugging the table.

My husband is very picky about his salsa, El Patron had good, flavorful, table salsa...and he requested a hotter salsa which had him in heaven - spicy, hot, & great flavor!!! Trifecta!!! Welp, we won't be coming back here 😖😖 Food was mediocre, but the service was just.. WOW. AWFUL!! Evangeline/ Evangelina (she didn't actually introduce herself so..) was just NOT wanting to be there. It was painfully obvious, and we couldn't wait to get out of there. The restaurant was slow, and she disappeared for what seemed like an eternity every time! Doesn't seem like the right fit for you. Hope you grow into a better and harder worker, but this generation gives me little hope. Watching her walk around looking at her nails was kind of frustrating.. please, do better!!

the worst taco shrimp salad i ever hadthe bowl was wateryat the bottom no flavor on the grilled shrimp and instead of guacamolli they had some mashed beans right next to the taco bowl sorry but i wont be going back there. but the manager is very accomadating and polite.

I had a the enchiladas. They were okay. and they fit us in the last 30 minutes.

I loved the food and the service. Very friendly and helpful. It was a little dark, but I've noticed that at fancier restaurants although I'm not a big fan. Otherwise everything was great and the leftovers fed me later too! The seafood dip was awesome, but the octopus isn't a great texture for a dip due to the dip being long gone by the time you're done chewing the octopus. 🤣 Birria tacos and enchiladas were also great.

Meal was saltier than I prefer, but I did forget to add “no added salt” when I placed my order. I The food was saltier than I prefer, but not so salty that I couldn’t eat it. I will return and recommend it.

Street tacos carna asada and shrimp Delray tacos are awesome. Update: 9/1/2023 Had a new dish tonight, and it will be my regular every time we visit. Quesa Birria tacos. The only way I can describe it is mommas pot roast made into Mexican version of a French dip. SO GOOD!!!
