Delicious frozen custard! So many choices of flavours. Nice place out back to sit on benches in the shade or tables under the umbrellas.

This place used to be the best around and was a timeless classic. I have memories of coming here when I was a kid. Since covid, this place is on nothing but a money grabbing mission. The prices have gotten higher and higher with each trip, and serving sizes have gotten smaller and smaller. Over this 4 year span, prices in many cases have doubled while the servings provided are half. This is unacceptable price gouging, and you have now lost me and my family as customers. Congrats!

A little pretty but good stuff!

Neighbor down the road went wild or something and had a standoff with the police for a couple hours. Some acute mental thing going on evidently. Police said we couldn't enter our place since it was sectioned off during this whole affair, so we came to Erma's for some ice cream. Prices were great, and the custard was even better. Ultimately the standoff resolved peacefully, so consider that the cherry on top.

Have been coming here since I was a kid in the 90s. Recently took my kids there and they loved it!

Absolutely loved the HUGE assortment of Frozen Custard treats! It was one of those "hidden gems" that had we not been passing by, we would have never known about it! Next time I'm anywhere near Utica, I'm making the effort to return!

Fun ice cream place with a LOT of variety!!

Everything about this place is amazing love their ice cream! They have such a Huge variety so there is something for everyone! They have a great area for seating and letting the kids run around in the back. Wish the parking was better and it didn’t cost me 25 for 3 of us to get icecream but to keep them in business I will gladly pay the price for how good it is.

Family tradition for families since 1942. Long lines in the summer but worth it. Tasty with lots of variety. Lots of outdoor seating but it too fills up.

There is no dine in. It's a fabulous frozen Custard shop with many flavors and ice cream treats available. And quite good as well. Friendly staff and well organized. Definitely will be stopping there again.

Erma's is one of my favorite go-to's for ice cream. They always have plenty of flavors, and they add new ones every week. The hosts are always friendly, and the customer service is top-notch. I never had a complaint here. Apparently, many people feel the same because there is a catch. You might have long lines and a bit of a wait when they're busy. So bring along your patience hat and a tummy desiring some yummy delicious ice cream the whole family can enjoy. Even if they can't have dairy, that fine because Erma's has nonedairy options. I would definitely recommend this place.

Not the taste of a good custard, as I remember in the 70s. Pricey too.

Needs a clear sign for Door Dash drivers on where to pick up orders. We didn't see a sign and waited for 20 minutes only to be told what window was for Door dash.

Erma''s Ice cream is probably the best around. You can never go there without facing a line. I enjoy the flavors of the week. It is a sad day when November 1 arrives because Erma's will be closed until April 1.

We came here for an after school treat and I was extremely disappointed. The soft serve flavor of the week lemon blueberry was like when you pull your ice cream from the freezer and your freezer didn’t freeze the ice cream. It was almost melted when they handed it to me and I could tell right away it was mushy. I asked them about it and they just replied that’s what it’s like. I got a swirl cone and that one comes from a different machine that was decent but flavor of the week machine is not working properly. Your ice cream should be solid not melted when you get it. My husband went back and asked kindly if we could get a replacement for only One cone and they didn’t want to do it. So he bought me another one! Very sad that they wouldn’t make it right. We spent a lot Of money and hoped to have a better experience.

Love the outside seating area, they keep it super clean! Great rotating seasonal flavors. Nice stop for a quick sweet treat!

I've been visiting Erma’s since my childhood—a tradition my dad started that I've carried into adulthood. Having already visited twice this year, I've noticed a significant change in their product. The texture & taste clearly suggest that what was once custard is now merely ice cream. This disappointing shift in quality means, sadly, I won't be returning, marking the end of a beloved family tradition.

Available in a variety of forms, with toppings available. Also malts, shakes, and sundaes, plus every other ice cream-type treat you can imagine. Competitive prices and fast friendly service. A clean, comfortable covered porch is available to sit and enjoy your treats, plus a lovely open patio with seating and flowers. When you place your order, remember to ask for a flavor schedule to take with you! Update, 10/28: It hasn't changed. Thank Goodness! They do enclose part of the patio in vinyl late in the season, to keep the wind off.

Very overpriced. Large shake is a 24 oz cup for $10. Usually you get a 32 or 40 oz shake for under $8 with other independent shops.

If you are local then you know Erma's is the best place for Custard. I will be there tomorrow for their amazing pumpkin custard.

Coming to this place since I was living in Canada. Very tasty and good flavors. That comes to an end as of today. Prices went up like everything else, but what pisses me off is the quantity getting visibly smaller. Brought it up to the staff, they just laughed at me. Time to move on.

Great! The variety of delicious treats and weekly specials are amazing. I had a the very berry custard today and the caramel fudge custard last week - both were great! If parfaits are more your speed, you will have plenty to choose from there as well! Just a word of warning if it is a nice day, parking might be tough and expect a line.

Got the s’mores parfait. Felt it was very expensive and needed more toppings to justify the price. Also got attacked by yellow jackets so had to take it to the car. 👎🏻

Do not advertise dairy free soft serve if it’s dole whip. Dole whip is dole whip. Disappointed.

Love the flavors. Son had a chocolate cherry parfait, which was yummy. There is always a line here, so plan accordingly.

This place has been a staple of my childhood and still one of my favorite places to go and take my family with me. By far the best frozen custard stand around, we drive an hour from home passing several others just to get this. It gotten pretty crowded over the years and the only improvement they could make is using the side windows to pass out the orders, I know it seems petty but it really sucks having to move past 10 more people who are also waiting or placing an order to get yours sitting on the counter. Lol. I've had mine swiped by the wrong person once or twice.

Got the ‘cherry dip’ which is now…flavorless. Yeah, it’s red but has no cherry taste. This used to be my favorite dip. Someone should check the batch before using it and make sure it tastes like it’s supposed to.

Busy as usual, for this time.of year. I had vanilla with peanut butter topping. My husband had chocolate with chocolate dip, and another member of our party had a chocolate/vanilla swirl. 💯% worth the wait in line. For those who can't eat cones, you may have it made in a cup like a sundae. They also have pup cups. 🐶

Erma's has been around for a very long time, and it's easy to see why. They offer very high-quality custard (and non-dairy soft serve, though I admittedly have not tried it) with some flavors that change by the week. They also offer dips for your custard that elevate the flavor and experience to a new level. This is worth making a trip.

Always awesome frozen custard. Medium twist dipped in chocolate...PERFECT! Lots of monthly flavors. Multiple locations. You can also buy it by the pint to take home and keep in freezer. They have rewards cards, don't forget to use them!

They ruined it. Most likely due to rising food prices but I would have preferred rising prices to this. It's mixed with veggie oil or something . Tastes like cool whip, even the add ins they skimp on. I would have paid more, Erma's was a staple of my childhood but they ruined it. It's like eating cool whip, it's melts so fast. Each bite feels like nothing and you can taste the oil cost your tongue. Custard spot is still the same thankfully, it never used to be as good as Erma's but now it's leagues ahead. You'll have to have cash on you but it's worth it. Erma' is a huge bummer this year. I would have paid more. :(
