I liked this place more than I’d like to admit and spent more time here than I thought. There is nothing gimmicky about this bar and it’s a definite local hangout. We had a few good conversations here and would’ve had more if our port time during our cruise had been longer. I loved the duck fart and we loved this old bar. Pro tip: CASH ONLY

This is one of the few places where you can go dancing in Sitka, the bar is nice and the atmosphere is fun, however the few times I have decided to spend some time here I have seen how the owner of the bar makes comments that incite hatred and even racist comments, which I find very dangerous since he uses his microphone to do so and that only strains the atmosphere of the bar, every time I have come to this bar I have had to leave my beer half full and leave.

Great bar!!! Super friendly! Awesome vibe!! Cash only but they have an ATM machine. The bartender was from Texas and was super cool! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone passing through.

We stopped in from our cruise port time to get dry and heard someone from our cruise say "This is Anywhere USA." They couldn't have been more wrong. This place has great charm, service, clean restrooms, tons of merch and local advice from the bartenders. We stayed for about 45 minutes to dry off and enjoyed our time. If you need a break from the walk and rain stop by Ernie's.

Great place to stop, grab some beers and hang out! This was our go to after fishing. Service is greats, drinks are strong, and music is usually good! Nice to talk to a few locals!

Unpretentious, comfortable, chill bar. Contains a good sized bar, pool tables, and darts. The bartender was super friendly and was doing a good job of handling a tourist rush from the cruise ship. The draft beer was poured correctly and served cold in a clean glass. The mixed drinks were well thought out, visibly pleasing, and balanced. I would hang out here if I lived in Sitka.

Quirky old timey dive bar. Cash only! So, make sure you're prepared, but they do have an ATM if you forget. We got two Alaska Brewing Company flights, definitely recommend

What's better than a bar that's full at noon? We went there on a bicycle pub crawl and it was warm and full of friendly looking people. Were they locals or all from the ships? Hard to know, but you can check the photo. The service was good.

Ordered two beers, he says that's $12, put out a 20 and when we were ready to leave and asked to pay, he gave me change for $16.50? ? ? DAMN

I love dive bars. This place is great! The service is awesome and the drink prices are about what you would expect. They have a great selection of local beers and some suprisingly good and interesting whiskey and burbon selections If you love dive bars make sure to stop here if you are passing thru Sitka!

Been there twice now, and have had a really relaxing, fun time. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. Met some locals and we'll be back. NOTHING was as expected. Thank you for the good times!

This is one of the last authentic great bars in sitka. They have left it fairly original inside and it has become the hottest bar in town particularly for young people on weekends. If you want to meet some of the locals this is a great place to hang out.

Historical bar! Enter the door, and go back in time! Extremely charming. Really good selection of beers and liquor. You have to stop by here when you're in Sitka.

Parry place, great 70s classic rock, fantastic and fun vibe. We tried the Vanilla Porter beer, very tasty. Got some Mexican tacos and quesadillas from a food truck outside, again very tasty.

Ernie's is fun fun fun I came to work in Alaska and was hesitant on going there because I didn't know what to expect. the dj there is great they play all types of music taco truck in the back makes me feel like I'm home in la , tho I am here in Sitka alaska

This is such a fun place. Just a old hole in the wall. But it was fun. Staff was great. We had to have a Duck Fart. 🫨 They don't serve food, but the food trucks are all over, and you can bring food in. Fun time for a quick drink.

What an atmosphere. Definitely feels like an old timey bar in the gold rush. The guy behind the bar was awesome. Didn’t catch his name, but he was running a busy bar and did it with a smile. Beer was fairly priced and quite tasty. The mixed drinks looked tasty, but that’s not exactly my thing. Oh. Don’t ring the bell! Unless you plan on being generous, anyway.

It’s a cool bar but they don’t take cash. No signs to tell you beforehand. Force you to use their debit machine which drives up the price of a beer by $3. Would be 5 stars if they took credit. They lose business as a result.

Went on a pedal pub crawl that took us here. This is the definition of a hometown good ol bar. The service was great and the drinks were even better.

Ate GREAT poke from the vendor behind them and came inside for drinks. Bar was filled with super friendly locals and we got to meet George the dog. Excellent service.

They got it right here, Pete is an awesome bartender, fun to talk to. You have to try their specialty drinks. Nice selection of beers and alcohol. Overall this is my favorite bar in all of Alaska.

I can't believe how much this bar has changed over the last few years. I recently went back to Sitka and never would I have ever thought I would be dancing at Ernie's. The music, awesome people, and the atmosphere has changed this bar into something Sitka has needed for a very long time. 👍 👌

I was in Sitka on 8/11 with a cruise and after my excursion to the Alaska Raptor Center I wandered downtown and ended up at Ernie's. Drank two pints and was then told that they accepted only cash, no cc's. One of my fellow patrons generously covered my tab. No food served, but an excellent taco truck out back. What a great place!!

Pete, the main bartender, is the best!! He' s always happy to see you,& always has some new fact about something. He is curtious,& knowledgeable. Makes a mean Bloody Mary!! Have yet to stump him on any cocktail. Stop in a see for yourself, Earned is the place to be!!!🙂

Ernie's is simply the best place to stop in Sitka for a cold adult beverage while learning about the history and having conversations with the locals. The is a nice break between the shopping and the historical museums.

Ernie’s Old time saloon in on the Main Street in the centre of Sitka. Alaskan beers on tap and a selection of shooters. They don’t do food but you can get some hot dogs or Mexican food delivered to the bar. Staff extremely friendly and chatty giving you a feel for the town.

Friendly barman, made us feel welcome, nice beer usual chitchat. Sat at the bar, relaxed hideaway on a rainy afternoon. I'd recommend it, couldn't fault it. Thank you

シトカに訪れた際に、お酒が飲めるスポットを探してこちらのお店にお邪魔しました。 店内がかなり広めのバーですが、訪問した際は店員さんが一人しかいなかったため、お客さんのほとんどはカウンター席に座っていました。テーブル席に座る人が他にいなかったら、カウンター席に座りましょう。 店内ではビリヤードやカラオケがあり、地元の人々が楽しんでいるようでした。隣の席で話した男性も、すぐ近所に住んでいるとのことでした。メニュー表はないと言われたため、見えているものを頼む形式でした。 シトカで暮らす人々の雰囲気を間近で見られる素敵なバーです。
