This burger is what you wish you could pump out on your grill at home. Messy in all the right ways, meat is seasoned nicely juicy and combined with great toppings. Theres a reason this place has stuck around for so long. You gotta try this out when down near the island!

Good burgers, good cheese fries, good hot dogs. This is the best burger I have had in the area. There are a few picnic tables available for eating, but mostly grab and go. Staff was very friendly too!

How dare y'all make a burger THIS GOOD so far away from my home town. I got the Big A which is their version of a Big Mac and my lord....it was heavenly. The fresh cut fries were so good too. Seasoned perfectly. The lady who helped us (kicking myself for not getting her name) was extremely friendly and gave us a variety of condiments since we didn't have any at our rental place. I would definitely go back!

Me and my girl came here when leaving Oak Island and were more than satisfied. Food came out within 5 minutes, and it was everything you could want more from a local burger place. Support local business! This is top notch right here.

10/10 would recommend. Lady at the counter was incredibly kind and funny. Dude cooking the food got it PERFECT. Only complain is my diet not letting me go more often.

This place was a pleasure and treasure to find. Customer service is A1 upon every visit. I was greeted and served by Gracie. The food was excellent and price was well worth every penny spent. Needless to say, I will definitely be returning ASAP.

just ate at the one in Boiling Spings almost $14 for double cheeseburger. Not a bad burger although way over priced for what you get. Eric's in Southport has way better burger, way larger patties and less than $10. just saying FYI

The only thing I would say is that you cannot contact them to see if they're open you have to drive over and then a lot of times they're closed and have the Boiling Spring sign in the window. I went three times one week it would be nice to call to see if they're open

The reviews don't lie, this place is fantastic and the service is fast and friendly. This has been on my list for a while and I will be back sooner than later. We had "The Works" burger and this in a 7 napkin burger! Excellent. French Fries and Hot Dog also great! Thank you Fat Andy's!

Best burgers we’d ever had. We ate here several times during our vacation. Hours are inaccurate on google, they were open 11-3 during our stay. They sell out quickly some days so go early!

This was the best burger I have eaten in quite some time. The food is made the old fashion way… with love. You won’t find microwave things being passed out of the serving window. Excellent secret local spot.

$$$$ - most expensive burger in town Arghhh - What happened to Andy? The burgers and fries have gone downhill and the price is $$$$. I am local and enjoyed these burgers over the years and wonder if ownership and recipe has changed…I am sorry but $20.00 for a Burger, fries and drink is out of control. Guess I need a new burger joint.

Fat Andy has it going on. Simple food, freshly prepared to order by friendly folks. Takaway or eat at the picnic tables onsite. I had the single cheeseburger, fries and drink. Burger was tasty and fries were fresh but grab some salt and pepper if you eat there, the burger was not seasoned or very lightly so. A little spendy at $13 but it was fresh and good and I don’t mind supporting a locally owned business. Stop by, you won’t regret it.

I loved this place the first time I ate there. However the service ever since has been awful they charged me 26 dollars for two burgers and a cheese fry but didn’t include the cheese fries I paid 6 dollars for. The burgers are good when they don’t mess your order up but the attitude is poor especially at any of the express locations.

Very friendly, slow paced, but worth the wait!!! Handmade patties and fries will keep you coming back. It's much better than a drive-thru.

Passing through on vacation and wanted a burger. Stopped by to try the local burgers. They were delicious and filling. Service was very good and professional to all customers. Highly recommend this place for homemade burgers and fries.

Oh my god, yes go on and stop here! There might be a line but don’t let that deter you. This is a walk up burger and fries place with a few tables in the deck. They do single and double burgers and have amazing fries. It’s real good food - burgers are a bit messy to eat and fries are extra crispy! They close right at 3 but did serve us at about 3:05. 🍔

Very good burgers. This is a very no frills operation; it's a shack by the road. They do a few food items and do them well. No bathrooms, but there are several picnic tables. If you need a few more comforts, take a bag to go! The lady taking orders was friendly and efficient.

Very good place to stop if you need a quick burger. I’m not at all going to make the claim or suggest that these burgers are life changing, like many other reviewers do, but they are however very good for value and time. Definitely fresher and quite possibly quicker than something you’d get at a fast food joint. The ingredients are very fresh and make the food very enjoyable.

Prices are great for a good old-fashioned burger, fries and dogs. Fast too! This is the kind of place I wanted to find when I had little kiddos and went to the beach.

Delicious, quick, friendly and big. I had the burger and chili fries with a soda and on a hot day that’s all I needed. It’s probably my 5th time at Fat Andy’s and I’ve seen a line off the porch every time which is a pretty good indicator of what people think of the food. The building might look beaten up on the outside but it adds charm and makes it even more appealing to me

Visiting relatives last March, took us over, loved it, no frills, long line, worth it, fresh & hot, delicious. If you're on a diet probably not your 1st choice, but you only live once and it's ok to indulge now & then! Can't wait to go again, we'll be down in March.

just unreal and out of this world homestyle burgers. the fries are delicious, the burgers are piled high anyway you want them (Better than 5 guys)! I've been in and out of the area for about 10 years and every time I come back I try and grab a burger here. the place looks like a shack that's been left in times, but it's great how everyone does a double take after seeing a line of 8 people waiting to get a glorious fat andy's burger. I love this place and they are good people running the joint. Always down for a great southern conversation. Keep it up y'all and never close, fat andy's for life!
