The black bean burger taste like week old stepped on refried beans. It fell apart, wasn't cooked right. But everything else was all right

I came as a tourist from NY, I am on a visit here and I wanted a great breakfast and that’s what I had here!! Very well recommended, the omelette amazing! 🤩

A very cute and small little cafe I went twice for breakfast. It has a very small town feel. The service was great and very friendly they give you that small town feel as well. They do have a pretty good options of drinks from things like milk, seltzer, water, iced tea and energy drinks. Very nice place to eat and when I am back in the area I will return again.

Stopped in for some coffee this morning and saw that they were so much more than coffee! They have a great menu with lots of traditional breakfast food but also healthier options. Coffee was great and the staff was very friendly. Can't wait till my next trip to Buck Hill so I can sit for some breakfast with my daughters ❤️

I came to first place Cafe to have breakfast on a Saturday morning. The atmosphere was very pleasant and tranquile. I ordered a meat lovers omelette and one of their daily specials. Every item presented was extremely fresh and tasty. I would strongly recommend to have their banana bread. They grill it and it is extremely fresh and tasty. Great place

Stopped in on our way through the Poconos. Quaint little place with excellent breakfast food. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Will definitely return when in the area again.

Such a great little place with great food!! The place was very clean and staff was very friendly. Plus they had the best gluten free bread my wife has ever had. We ate there 3 times in two days while we were in town. Thank you!!

Came here for breakfast it was awesome! The staff was so helpful and friendly. I got a bacon egg and cheese with home fries it was delicious. Such a cute spot and got to sit by the window and enjoy some scenery as well!

First time stopping. We were greeted with a friendly hello! The food was reasonably priced and delicious! The dinning area and bathroom were very clean. The owners take pride in their business and it is obvious!! We will definitely stop again!!! We had a cheesesteak with fried onions, french fries and the Sriracha burger and sodas from the cooler. Delish!!

A terrific cafe with a nice hometown atmosphere. The veggie omelet was terrific and potatoes were delicious. I loved the flavors of the potatoes. Coffee was great also. Our new breakfast/lunch place.

Excellent quality food with affordable prices! We went twice while on vacation in the Poconos and we would’ve went every single day had they not been closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Everything from breakfast to lunch to their incredible desserts were spot on-fresh, flavorful and delicious. This place is a MUST! Owner was super friendly and service was great! This is our new go to spot in the Poconos!

I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered here. The food is great, the are too. Try the chocolate cherry bread pudding when they have it! It's AMAZING!!

WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! So happy I discovered this place on my trip to the Poconos! This place is so cute! The area downstairs to the left of the cafe has such a cozy and warm atmosphere, perfect for a family breakfast! The worker there immediately set a table for us and the service was great! Coffee was freshly brewed and the food was very tasty!

Food was good place was clean the guy at register was very busy but still nice and helpful. It did seem a lil pricey but really every thing is now of days. I would go again

My sister took me to this gem of a cafe while we were visiting her in the Poconos. The food for all three of us was delicious! The owner/cook (though I suspect he does everything) was very friendly. The atmosphere is very bright and cozy. Perfect for starting the morning on the right foot! Will definitely be back.

This is always a great place for breakfast/ brunch. And we often buy a quart of soup to take home for later- the soups are always delicious.

Good food, unique specials and reasonably priced!

Just had girls weekend at skytop and ordered catering from 1st place Cafe and as always everything was delicious everyone enjoyed and had a break from cooking we do this every year and always order from 1st place Cafe Chicken pot pies Brushetta chicken Pasta Quiche vegetables And rosted vegetables So etching for everyone thank you again for always having good food good prices and always ready on time it makes our trip wonderful.

Had breakfast here and everything was super tasty and the prices were great. Friendly service and a very comfortable family diner environment.

My son had come in and placed a to go order for the short period you were open between the two covid closings. He ordered 5 meals. One of them was the Cinnamon Vanilla French Toast. This was my dish, there was absolutely no flavor. However, since we ate at home, I put my own Cinnamon on. Not a big deal, I wouldn't not have left a review for this. The one star rating comes from the service. Throughout the entire transaction, the person assisting him was short, unfriendly and inconvenienced to be helping him. He felt bad that he was using 2 gift certificates. So instead of leaving an appropriate tip based on service, he left $20. The attitude of the person changed quick! It is a shame I had to explain a one star review, no business should have to be told to be kind to customers!

We loved our experience at First Place Café! The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were attentive, efficient, and very kind. We were accidentally there past closing time without realizing it and yet the staff did not make any moves to rush us out. In fact, they remained considerate, helpful, and attentive despite us being there 20 minutes past closing! We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to future visitors.

I’m going to give this place another try next time I’m in the area, cause I liked the owner’s hustle. Cost reasonable, portions large, service reasonably fast with owner and his wife(?) the only 2 running it; but the food tasted like Sysco Food Service (not my favorite - cheap ingredients). While they were busy for Sat. morning breakfast, I didn’t see anyone waiting for a table, but got the distinct impression that the owner wanted me to eat and move on - not linger over my coffee at a two-top, like I am wont to do on a Sat. When I invited 3 friends to join me and asked to take a four-top, the owner kinda snidely replied “once they get here”, so I told my friends what he said and he lost their business as a result. But he seemed perfectly fine with the locals at the four-top that hung out as long as I did. But like I said, I’ll give this place another try.

Greeted the second I walked in, my experience at First Place Cafe was a great one. The man who took my order was kind, helpful, and funny. The woman who made my food has a talent: her breakfast potatoes are delightful, and the omelet was yummy too. Someone said I’m their review that they had amazing coffee, and they were right. I was fully prepared to be disappointed (at comparable places at home the food is good but the coffee is always bad), and was really pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is warm & inviting and the group of regulars make you feel like you’re in a book. If you’re in the area, definitely worth stopping in for a bite whether it’s dine in or take out!

We love this place for the fresh, home-made foods. Everything is always delicious, from the soups, to the potato salad, to the burgers and don't miss the chocolate cake!!!

My husband and I stayed at the Skytop Lodge for a long weekend and we’re looking for a place to get breakfast outside of the hotel. We found this place and it was easily the food highlight of our trip. The interior is IMMACULATE, the owner routinely cleans and wipes down every touched surface. The food is fresh, absolutely delicious, well priced and quickly prepared. We enjoyed breakfast here every morning and will be dreaming about blueberry pancakes, cooper cheese omelettes, and sausage gravy over biscuits until our next visit. Thank you!

Fantastic restaurant with an organic local feel. The specials are great and change every day. The roast beef BBQ on a kaiser roll was fabulous, the bread airy and the beef richly flavored. The table areas are well sunlit and very pleasant. Only wish to live closer to be able to come back more often!

Our employees love to go to First Place for lunch. We love the unique menu & quality food. Then we found out that they also do CATERING!! We decided to use them for our company picnic. They made all the food for 100 people & everything was fantastic! Extremely professional, helpful and friendly the entire time. It was a great experience and everyone really enjoyed the food and there was more than plenty of it. We will definitely use them again for our next event. Thank you!

My husband and I love going to First Place Cafe. The food is always amazing and I adore their coffee selection, especially the seasonal coffees like: peppermint mocha, chocolate raspberry, and pumpkin spice, in their respective seasons. They have lovely, sunny dining spaces and even a small general store area. The homemade cakes and danishes are also very delicious. We are regulars and will continue to be so.

Best Paperplate breakfast in the Pocono's No frills well prepared food with imaginative specials at very reasonable prices. A real neighborhood gathering place.

Clean and bright. Great place for a breakfast sandwich and coffee. Bagels and a shmear. Pork roll, egg and cheese. Salads and sandwiches galore. The employees are nice and warm and helpful. Prices are out of this world good. My only issue is that they're closed on Tuesday. Definitely worth the trip. Edit:. It was Tuesday, I was hungry, you were closed. You're Definitely worth 5 🌟. I was "Hangry". I apologise for Allowing my stomach to rule my heart and brain.
