UPDATE: 8-25-24 6:30pm DISAPOINTED!!!!!! ...WHAAAAT HAPPNED? Couldn't cook a medium rare Ribeye! Ordered cat fish GOT Chicken! The outside edges of a simple chicken fried steak burnt hard then covered (hidden) with gravy....Time to look at your"cooks" 6 months earlier.... This place is a must if you're hungry all you can eat catfish and crab legs your choice I highly recommend the crab legs

Been a couple of years since I was here. Great food, service was excellent. Nice country atmosphere.

We didn't get the appetizer that we ordered. We ordered the crab boil that is supposed to come with 1/2 lbs of crap legs, and it was three crab legs, and they were small. The shrimp did not have any season on it. The other food was great. My friends burger was tasty. Our server never refilled our drinks and seemed lost. I think she was new. I would give them another shot.

The people were fantastic, the ambience was fantastic and the food was fantastic. I had the pulled pork dinner and the flavor of the entree was out of this world and the portions were large. My wife had a basket that included shrimp, fish and chicken; it was outstanding as well. We were stuffed and didn't get the chance to try their desserts. This is definitely our new favorite place to eat

Had a great experience at Flat Creek Republic. Coral and Grace did a great job getting me the food. They were very professional and caring when when i came in and greeted me as well. 10/10 recommend getting to go food at Flat Creek Republic great group!

Love the decor, service was so-so, food (chicken and catfish basket) was horrible. The only redeeming quality to this location is Laura. The "catfish" was soggy inside of a crispy fried coating and did not taste at all like catfish. The chicken was crispy but lacked flavor, the hush puppies were cold, the bake potato was yellowed and not fresh (Laura replaced it with a fresh one). The cole slaw was the only part of my meal that was good. I have eaten at the one in Republic and it was perfect, although my meal choice was different. I will not visit the Cape Fair location and will never recommend their chicken or "catfish" to someone who has never been to a Flat Creek restaurant. Hands down, the worst meal that I have eaten at a restaurant. As a side note...be sure to look up sutchi catfish before you order, it is not the catfish that we have here.

Hannah was a wonderful server. Food was excellent and my wife and I totally enjoyed being there. The burnt ends were A-1!!

I want you to know I came there alot in the past the last two times I came Tha food was bad. Fish was cooked way ahead the fries was cold I ask for new fries they where colder than the first ones. I haven't been back sense I did love your food for along time. I haven't been back for year or so alot more people I know feels the same way. I would love to come back but I live in Walnut Shade to far to waste Money so I want drive that far plus your prices are to hih anymore for the quality of foof.

Had the Open Faced Brisket dinner - Think open faced roast beef sandwich plus, Plus, PLUS!! I don't know who thought to serve smoked brisket like a roast (mashed potatoes and brown gravy too), but kudos to you! It was excellent. Flat Creek's food is always delicious! It never disappoints. When we have company visiting, this is one of our go to restaurants.

Had the wagyu burnt ends. They were ok. I was less than impressed with service on this trip and the portions have definitely gone down as well. Still good but not great like it was. Server was not very attentive and it was not a full house.

Advertising catfish but it’s clearly Sway or some other type of foreign whitefish. Drove over 40 min on very curvy road to be disappointed, I don’t like sway and wouldn’t went out my way to try this restaurant! Service and Fried chicken was great just serve the fish you advertise.

The food and atmosphere here was incredible, exceeded only by the young lady that waited our tables of approximately 25 NWA Miata Club members on Saturday, July 20. She made sure all orders were right and glasses were full. THAT’S how servers earn above-average tips! I regret not catching her name. This high-volume restaurant out in the middle of nowhere about 30 miles NWA of Branson has an extensive menu of burgers, chicken, steaks, wraps, etc. I had a magnificently large brisket sandwich with their home-style fries. There was plenty of both left for a later meal. It is definitely a destination restaurant for anyone living or visiting within a couple of hours of it. Do yourself a huge favor and give it a try!

Great place. They did a great job of serving our party of 30 folks.

We had Flat Creek cater a small wedding reception in our rental VRBO. All of the guests raved about how good it was. They had warming trays and had everything set up and delivered right on time. The carrot and red velvet cake were delicious and HUGE. Jenny was very easy to work with and made the food part of our wedding a breeze. Thanks Flat Creek for making our special day worry free and delicious.

Shrimp & hush puppies had little taste. Ran out of my drink before I was finished eating & couldn't get the waitress attention to fill it again.

Went with friends to the one in Cape Fair MO. We all enjoyed our food and our waitress was great! Will definitely visit there again

This place is delicious. I go every year for my birthday, and several other times a year too. Good bar as well!

About two times a year, my wife and I come to Cape Fair to stay at my sister and brother-in-law's lake house. And we always come here for an evening meal. It's the best! Tell 'em Wade Carter recommended Flat Creek Restaurant to you.

Cat fish is not fantastic anymore. Fish was mushy and didn't taste good and certainly did not taste the way it used to. French fries are better at Sonic. Grandson got sick and we will never go back.

Flat Creek catered my mom's 70th birthday party. We ordered fried chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, sausage, pulled pork and rolls. The food was one of the highlights of the party - everyone raved about the food! Not only was the food delicious, but Flat Creek's pricing and customer service was outstanding. Jenny on the team treated us like gold - she was extremely communicative, thorough and fun to work with. If you're looking for catering, or even a great place to eat, look no further than Flat Creek.

Giant portions could easily share meals

A great menu for each family member. One of our grandkids had the kids chicken meal.....it was amazing! Wish I'd ordered it myself. Family ordered prime, burger, and fish sandwich. Everyone was pleased and had a good time. The wait staff was GREAT (Thank you Destiny!!). Had a larger group on a Saturday night at 6 pm, the staff worked hard and we're seating families ASAP. We'll return. About 30-40 minutes from Branson - depending on where in the Branson area you are staying.

Ordered catfish. One piece like overcooked. The other piece half was ok the other was not done.

Short wait time, however the hostess was not very friendly. Had an attitude like she didn't want to be there. Service was slow compared to other tables we observed. The tossing of the dinner was entertaining. Don't order the French Onion soup. It was very salty and the cheese that was used did not seem to be according to the correct recipe. My ribs were good but a little fatty for my taste.

My only issue was the cost. Ordered 2 of the special of the day (chicken), 1 dessert, 1 drink, and a 20 percent tip came to just a tad over 50. We will go again.

There's nothing negative to say about this awesome restaurant!! A++

Honestly wasnt that excited. Grew in Florida where fresh seafood is plentiful and hard to beat or match in qaulity at all . Have been to the republic location the food was great but I just wasnt as impressed as with the cape fair location. The aesthetic is a great not to puby not to dressed up so perfect for any night out or an anniversary or special occasion. I ordered the bourboun glazed salmon and it was great my wife ordered the pick 3 with bourboun brisket tips pulled pork and half rack of ribs She loved all 3 and we had to obviously get togo boxes we ordered the loaded baked potato skins and they were amazing they came out with our food because of how some orders went in with a large party but it was also out in perfect time honestly both the host and server were super polite definitely enjoyed and will go again.

I go just for the back patio, Its good nothing spectacular , often busy..Eh that's about it..

Favorite place to eat when leaving Branson. I prefer the food here than anywhere in and around silver dollar city and it breaks up the journey home. Healthy sized portions, tasty beverage options and a solid vibe, enhanced by all the wacky stuff stuck to the ceiling. Terrific service and good prices add to the mix. Will always be back!

Awesome catfish and live entertainment

Great food. I really enjoyed the potato skins appetizer. The chicken fried steak was delicious but huge! You'll need a huge appetite. Others in our party had the catfish, shrimp, and pulled pork salad. Everyone enjoyed their food. Our server was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. 10/10 would recommend.

Republic location. We have gone a couple times a month since opened & always had hood food that was worth the price increases. My forced change in diet to medical reasons prompted change. We met for lunch at the time of open through the week. This is the first time I was very disappointed. My go to even before diet change was the smoked chicken wings. I ordered those & a side salad. It took 45 minutes for our food & the wings were fried. Not smoked fried. Not only fried but over fried to the point of inedible. The server was good at first but then was far more interested in a large table of what appeared to be her regulars (she knew all them by name) than to check back on us for refills let alone our meal quality but she was prompt to put down the check while going by without a word. My biggest complaint was the wings were no longer smoked & was not told plus the quality. This is probably my families last time.

Mother's Day was very busy and we were a party of 15 and the waitress did an excellent job of taking care of us. It was my first time there and I had the 3 way basket and it was really good. I will definitely be back to try something different and the free cheesecake was delicious.

Above and beyond. Exceptional service, delicious food, amazing atmosphere. The culture of this place is almost as phenomenal as its heritage. The catfish is divine. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants a good portion of food for a great price.

I just don't think there are words to describe how good the food is here. This is a place where triple D needs to come.

Really dry ribs, undercooked fried okra, fries were cold. This is the third time I've ordered from here and gotten sick. Just find a better restaurant.

05/05/24 Server was great but the All you can eat catfish/chicken made at least 5 of our 8 family members very sick. It was the chicken because I had a bite of my husband's catfish & it tasted fine. (My meal was the tenderloin).

Every thing I have ever eaten there is delicious. You always get more food than you can eat.

Best Catfish I have Ever eaten!!! I wonder if it's Because they come from the creek right behind the restaurant!!

Food was good next time I would ask for no seasoning on the steak and maybe the bread on a separate plate.

The food overall was pretty good besides the tortilla chips in my nacho supreme tasted stale but I went to the water and it was such a good view!!! Highly recommend

Super disappointed in the food this evening. Food was warm like it had been sitting out for a while. Definitely not fresh. Been more times than I can count and was less then impressed.

Delicious food with great atmosphere!

We have came down the last several years for our anniversary with our friends and Flat Creek never disappoints. We ask for our favorite waitress, Patience, and she was out for health reasons and that was disappointing…hope she doing well. Mr. Wonderful, Henry, took care of us and he did an awesome job filling in for our favorite. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening. My prime rib was amazing. I will miss the fried pies.

Excellent place, better than their location in Republic on every count. The service (Thank you Kyle) was wonderful & they were very accommodating for our two dogs who were with us today. We sat out on the deck in the sunshine, watching boats on the water & motorcycles go by on the road (2 of our girl’s favorite entertainment. Kyle brought water out for our girls, when he delivered our drinks. Ordering 2 plain burgers for the girls was not a problem & again the staff (Kyle) was incredibly accommodating. Our food was hot & delicious. This is definitely a place we’ve added to our go to list.

Great food, very friendly servers…especially Skyler, who was my server. Menu has so many things to choose from, and they make some of their own salad dressings and desserts! They also have a full bar selection.

Went for my Birthday 🎂. Great food we had to get to go boxes 📦. Our waitress was very very good. Could not ask for better service. The Manger helped us also.plus I got a wonderful piece of Homemade carrot cake. Thank you Flat Creek for my wonderful Birthday Dinner.

Lunch with family to celebrate my birthday. Salmon was great with sweet potato fries and cold slaw. Destiny was a great server and came with others to lead singing Happy Birthday to me.

We had never been there before. Opened it up and was greeted promptly. Our sever Ashleigh was superb. Friendly ,out going. Menu was that sounds good this sounds good. My wife and daughter got the Cajun seafood dinner I got the fried chicken and daughters boyfriend had the fried catfish. It was all Wirth the trip and prices were very very fair. The atmosphere was charming and very authentic. We will be returning !!!!

Their catfish is great it's even good the next day the coleslaw is good. Their breaded chicken was good french fries were good they were able to accommodate our party of 12 at a decent rate and the staff was friendly and helpful. It has been more than a year since my first review. Flat Creek is still a favorite of the family. It is one of the only places other than McDonald's that my kids will eat all of their food.

This place has awesome cat fish strips. That's what I tried so that's what I'll rave about here!

Flat Creek is a good place to go to get good food. I personally recommend the Fish or Grilled Pork chops.

Great food, great service. The portions are plenty, usually requiring a take-home container. The staff is always accommodating and friendly.

Portions are huge here last time I went. I had lunch and dinner the next day. The Cajun corn is awesome.

The fried chicken and catfish are amazing! The food is fresh and delicious! For us tonight, the dessert wasn't as good as we anticipated. We had the white cake and red velvet cheesecake cake and it didn't taste very fresh. The catfish and chicken though we're BOMB! Update. Today I had the fish sandwich and it was delicious!

The food was ok. Nothing to brag about. Way over priced. Will not drive back out here to eat.. The place was noisy, dusty, and dirty. Dust and dirt clinging to the duct lines running over the dining area and kitchen. Hard telling what the kitchen looked like.. Music in the bar way to loud. The best thing about our visit was our waitress. Her back was hurting pretty bad and she still tuffted it out. She was polite, courteous, and the reason this place got 3 stars instead of 1. I wish her the best.

Always stop when we come to Cape Fair. Fun atmosphere, delicious food. Love the cat fish, and the beans are phenomenal!! Never had a bad meal. Easy access..separate bar but you can see thru glass window separation. Very busy..dinner was served up fairly quickly. Even though it was busy you could hear your own conversation!

Flat Creek Restaurant is my favorite to visit in Cape Fair and Branson, MO. The food is outstanding. I especially like the fried fish although my husband and others think the fried chicken is best. The service is always friendly and attentive.
