I was shocked by the stars received as the food was par. The coffee worse I ever have had. The only thing I can say was very tasty was the home fries but the creamed chip beef had no taste at all. Tried it but never again. The service was fast and the waitress was good! The atmosphere outside was great but the inside was just plain and we were seated where everyone congregated to wait for their table.

I love their unique atmosphere. Located within the Cape May airport, visitors to the Flight Deck Diner can see a few decommissioned planes and several others taking off and landing. Food was very good all at an affordable price.

This is a frequent spot for us, never miss when we are in Villas! Great, tasty breakfast. Super fast service once seated. Usually a wait in season, but not too bad. Tiny spot on the airfield, cute old diner with airplane theming. You can watch prop planes take off and land. This time we were not seated in the main dining area which was a bummer. The room is basically a waiting area. Breakfast is my favorite meal and food does not disappoint. My son lives the Bi-wing 222. 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 bacon. My fav is the Italian omelette. Prices are reasonable. Three of us ate for $40 including tip. Right near a cool aviation museum too!

Incredibly quick seating and food delivery. Everyone cleaned their plates, our meals were so tasty. Highly recommend the crispy Nutella strawberry French toast 😍

Restaurant was very busy. We were seated quickly. The food was plentyful and delicious. I had a little difficulty using a coupon to pay.

Typical diner food. Nothing over the top. But the wait staff was awful. She didn't even say hello, just greeted us with drinks..... Didn't express what drinks they have etc. This was towards the end of the day and the diner was half full so it couldn't be that she was too busy to say hello....

Went off a Google review whim since I’m here for vacation and I’m glad I did. Fantastic food. Great service. They were slammed when we got there but everyone got seated in a timely manner. I got eggs, sausage links, pancakes and tater tots. I was wary of the links because I’m particular about my sausage but it was sooooo good. Not a piece of gristle (which I don’t like). Would come back again next time I’m in the area.

I go for breakfast. They have a good selection. I enjoy the chipped beef on biscuits and sausage gravy. I've had pancakes, eggs, bacon, and others. It's a little out of the way but it is right at the Cape May airport. The restaurant is a little small but even when there's a lot of people, there's usually not much wait. It's also right next to the Naval Air Station Wildwood Aviation Museum for a fun visit. 7-5-24 had breakfast here again. It's always a fun place to go. The food is good and the staff are always friendly.

My husband went here with our son and was immensely dissapointed in the service. His order was wrong and waitress was nowhere to be found to correct it except when handing him the check. He did tell the cashier upon payin, and he just got an "I'm sorry". No money off or anything. Come on! That's customer service 101. We gave this place another try. Service was much better and food was just OK. Cream chipped beef was very peppery... too peppery. Eggs on an island were not eggs on an island. Just cut toast slapped on top of eggs. When paying, they do not have any signs stating there is an extra charge for using credit card. Improvements definitely needed. I do not think I would give this place a 3rd try. There are plenty of other great local breakfast and lunch places.

Very reasonable prices with good food portions. I this restaurant gives scenery for everyone wanting ..next to the Airport small planes take off land. There's an aviation museum close by to see old world war 2 planes .when coming or leaving flightdeck There's also some of the machine armory from Vietnam to see like hilocopters transport trucks that were used then in Vietnam when coming or leaving the restaurant. This place is small so go during the week. Weekends are a wait to get served. The great staff that man this place are eager to please...5 stars if the place could expand..

Been going here for years. Great food! But word got out regarding the reasonable prices, and it is now often packed with breakfast diners, and the wait times are considerable.

I enjoyed this place so much because we sat outside and were able to watch the planes and helicopters take off. ( you are able to see them from the inside as well from what i saw) It really was such a peaceful place to eat. They don't have water service outside, but we ordered to go and sat outside. The food was good and the staff were friendly. It's off the beaten track, which made this place really nice. We went to the aeronautical museum next door, which made for a relaxing afternoon.

I've never been to a diner or restaurant where someone helicopters in and grabs breakfast. That totally happened while visiting @flightdeckdiner in Cape May. How cool is that? Not only can you get a good, simple breakfast at a very reasonable price, but it's an awesome spot for kids too. Model airplanes are hanging from the ceilings, and police badges from pretty much every NJ town are displayed on a wall. Service was fast, table turnover was quick, and once again, everything we ate was good! My plate came with 3 eggs any way I wanted them, home fries, a protein of choice (I chose scrapple), and a couple of pancakes. The other dish is a veg omlette with home fries (also came with toast). I wish I had a chance to try the creamed chipped beef, hopefully next time! Watch some planes take off and land while drinking your diner styled coffee and eat a classic affordable breakfast in Cape May! When you're done, you can even swing by @capemaybrewco for a 6 pack!

We arrived at the diner 25 minutes before closing for the day. We were seated quickly in the last table available in the dining room. They took our order right away, and our food came right out. The lunch was fresh and tasted great. We will definity be back.

Great little local secret,our favorite breakfast place

Went there a few weeks ago and got seated right away. The waitress came over to take our order and with an attitude told me my son was going to spill his drink because he took the lid off - he is 8 by the way. Then when my mom asked her where her order of toast was, she looked annoyed and I'm almost positive took longer to bring it out on purpose. She never once came back to ask us how things were or if we needed anything and then just gave us the check. The gentleman who was cleaning up the dishes was WAY nicer than our waitress. We still left her a better tip than she deserved that's for sure. It looks like a lot of the bad reviews are because of the wait staff (maybe the same waitress - I wouldn't know since she never said her name) If you are unhappy with your job, don't take it out on your customers!

If you like a Navy airbase atmosphere with the best breakfast and service, you have to give the Flight Deck a try. You won't be disappointed. Afterwards, you can check out the Vietnam museum and the naval aircraft museum a try.

Amazing Buffalo chicken salad. We flew in from Princeton and had to lunch. My husband got the hbomb sandwich. There is an airplane theme. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.

I have eaten Scrapple all over the years. And I have to say the Scrapple at Flight Deck blew me away. I'm going back this weekend. Awesome place to visit friend's and enjoy great food.

We decided to try the Flight Deck Diner because it had great star reviews. The reviews were right. Great local diner. The menu had a nice variety and the Daily Specials added even more choices. Excellent food at a good price. Excellent service. Highly recommend.

One our most favorite places to have breakfast while visiting Cape May! The Flight Deck Diner offers a delicious breakfast with huge portions at a very reasonable price. The servers are very friendly and attentive and they kept our drinks filled the entire time we ate! It may be s bit off the beaten path from the beach but this place is definitely worth stopping into on a day when you’re traveling about Cape May County!

Service was excellent and fast, crowded nice atmosphere and no wait, The food was okay for breakfast food but portion size home fries were unacceptable five pieces of potatoes total.

I feel so bad that I'm giving only a 2 star review. It would if been 5 stars if our waitress was better. First she never even introduced herself ( food service 101) only asked what did we want to drink. Formally coming from the food service industry myself, I would never treat a guest that way. I was always told 1 bad review makes 10 people never going to that establishment, but 1 good review brings in 20 new guests. Now when it comes to the food, it was amazing. For the appetizer we ordered the mozzarella sticks, and they were phenomenal. The breading was perfect and light and the marinara sauce that went with it was delicious. For my lunch I ordered the Chicken Caesar wrap with bacon and a side of barbecue sauce for my fries (I prefer that over ketchup). Instead I was given a Chicken cheese steak warp.( clearly not what I ordered) My son ordered the grilled cheese kids meal which comes with ice cream. Well yet again, food service 101, always ask your guests how the food is or if they need anything else, refill, napkins etc. If our waitress would of asked how our meal was i would of told her that i was given the wrong meal, but would of kept it anyway, because it smelled and looked really good. Nothing, yet she had enough time to talk to gentleman at the counter and spent time talking more to him than waiting on her tables. My son also never got his ice cream that was supposed to come as a little treat for his meal. By this time i was so irritated I didn't even want to mention it when she dropped off the check. So we had to go somewhere else for it and that service was 10x better than what we got here. So that is why I'm not giving any stars for service because our waitress did a terrible job. If you want a good lunch, I would highly recommend this place. The food was great but our waitress was terrible. Now I can't speak for all the other staff because they seemed like they took care of their customers. So maybe our waitress needs to go back to training on customer service.

When we cut into the omelette, it oozed over with raw, runny eggs. The completely uncooked slime was sent back to the kitchen. The cook decided to merely flip it over on the plate and re-serve it. The egg white omelette was burnt and had 1-2 egg whites - not enough to feed a 5 year old. And they charge $1.50 extra for the egg whites on top of that. The service was equivalent to a McDonald’s on Kingsington Ave in Philly. The employees must have left reviews because there is absolutely no way this place received a legit 4.7. Bottom line: Fly. Fly as far away from here as humanly possibly.

By far my favorite diner in South Jersey, I can't say that I've ever had a bad meal here be it breakfast or lunch. Friendly staff and such a classic old school atmosphere, in a time where the world is so happily ready to be modernized & updated, it's nice to enjoy a place that reminds me of simpler times. We've come many times during the summer and spring. Food is great, wait staff is courteous but the hosting is subpar. Just about everytime we come, groups of the same amount of people will come after us and go before us. At first I thought it was possible favoritism to locals but after speaking with people waiting that's not the case. The method for taking names and calling people needs serious updating. The woman at the desk doesn't always come outside to call names and the inside is way too small to accommodate the waiting people. This is the third time in a row this has happened. The first time, someone with the same name as us came in, out their name in and then when OUR name was called less then 3 minutes later they jumped in our spot. I know you see a lot of people come in and give names but it should be apparent to the host/hostess that the person literally just put their name in with 15 others waiting before them. I understand busy business but there are plenty of other establishments that this never happens at. We love it here and hope that the organization gets better.

Probably won't go back.....I'll just leave it at that.

This is a tiny hideaway place with a large menu! I have frequented this place several times over the past 2 summers and I try something different every time. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the service is great! Highly recommend the Lindy or the Corn Flake French Toast! Delish!!👍👍 My work patch even made the wall!👍

Ignored for ten minutes then I had to ask for someone to take my order which was cooked wrong. My food sat in the window too long even though four staff passed by repeatedly.

This was one of the best little diners I’ve been to in a long long time if not ever. The service was incredible. The food was beyond amazing. It was super busy but they move nicely. The prices were beyond reasonable especially with how things are currently. Dawn was our server and was the best. Super nice. Super helpful. It was all just great.
