Foundation is great! It's awesome to have a local coffee shop so close to my house. What really sets Foundation apart though is the atmosphere. You can really tell that the seating area was crafted with care and attention. It's just so comfy to sit here, even on warm summer days. Do yourself a favor though, head to Foundation on one of the "chilly" winter days when it's like 65 degrees out and enjoy. It's just lovely to sip a nice coffee and enjoy a conversation in such a pleasant, comfortable setting. The coffee and the food at Foundation never fail to be very yummy! I love the rotating specials, they've really made each visit that much more memorable. Recently in May they had some Star Wars - inspired drinks and I really enjoyed the Light Side Latte. There were also previously a peanut butter pie latte and a coconut creme pie latte that were both amazing. The specials are always a standout treat! Food is also quite good, even given the limited available cooking space. Today actually I had a breakfast bagel and it was quite good. The Tampa Cuban and breakfast croissant are also standouts. I've always received great service from the staff at Foundation. Lately I've been visiting at least once a week and have seen Brooke and Elizabeth there basically every time. They are super nice and personable and it's always great seeing them here! I'd recommend Foundation to anyone in Riverview looking for a nice place to just go hangout, maybe get a little work done, or just enjoy the outside. It's hard to find comfortable places to do so in Florida due to the heat, but Foundation always offers a nice environment to do so.

Love this place! Best espresso I've ever had.

I sat in the drive thru line without being serviced for over 10 mins. Arrived at the coffee shop at 10:52.. it is now 11:07 (still have not been greeted/serviced at the window) there are now about 3 other vehicles behind me in line… this is ridiculous and counter productive. No need for a drive thru line in you do not have workers to support. This is poor customer service. *just serviced at 11:11* poor worker was very apologetic (not her fault by any means) she let me know that they are understaffed and with the sweltering heat today they will need to close drive thru. I hope this truck gets the support they need because I love their coffee!

Really cute coffee spot with lots of outdoor seating, shade, and super friendly staff. Got the breakfast croissant that was toasted/slightly pressed with egg, bacon, spinach, and garlic aioli! And a coconut, brown sugar latte per the barista’s recommendation. I told her I normally drink black coffee but wanted to venture out today and it was delicious. Really cute little escape with the outdoor environment for a quiet morning coffee to myself! They said they’re looking into adding some kid friendly drinks for the summer too! Really great food, coffee, service, and atmosphere.

My husband and I absolutely love this place. Great environment, always friendly staff, and the drinks are always delicious. I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the coconut honey latte was. We always get some kind of latte and a breakfast croissant and it never disappoints. The peacefulness of sitting outside is nice and the road is far enough away that it never hinders your ability to chat with a friend. The trees keep it relatively cool even on hot days. Elizabeth and Madi were a delight to speak wtih! Great service.

They have a very very sad "tampa cuban" on the menu. It had hardly any meat whatsoever. I honestly feel robbed because it was $13. They need to either add meat or lower the price. I wouldnt go back again.

This used to be one of my favorite coffee spots. Now a small latte with oatmilk is nearly $8 and they got rid of my most favorite item. The new chicken salad croissant tastes store bought and is so disappointing :( The old chicken salad and croissant were TOP TIER - flaky bakery style croissant and the most delicious chicken salad. I’d gladly pay $20 for a cup of coffee just to get what was one of my favorite sandwiches, but sadly it’s not worth a stop anymore.

My husband and I were looking for a local breakfast spot and came here. As many times as we’ve passed by this place, we never thought to stop in but are so glad we did today. The service was great, the good was good and the seating area was so laid back and relaxed. It is outdoors which was exactly what we were looking for. Loved it.

Something has sadly changed here. The cuban breakfast sandwich has no ham anymore and the price has gone up. I get price increases, but its not really a cuban anymore, its just sausage egg and cheese. There also needs to be some adjustment to the pickup process. Just calling out items leads to confusion when several parties have the same things. Several parties that ordered after us took our sandwiches because they got to the counter to pickup faster that we did.

Literally around the corner from my MIL’s house. We visit every Christmas and this is our savior of good coffee. I’m a snob and their coffee is excellent. Try the Gesha beans, they are amazing 🤩

We’re from Alaska and back home we’re spoiled with coffee huts every corner in our town. So we get some worlds best authentic coffee. My husband googled coffee and this one popped up! I’m so glad it did! The ladies were absolutely sweet and polite and made some killer good coffee! That’s saying something because I don’t vouch for any but that isn’t amazing! It was so nice to finally have GOOD COFFEE and the food was just as great!!!!

Where else are you going to get specialty coffee, a tasty croissant, and fresh strawberries all in one go around here? Nowhere else. This is a great and welcoming spot with friendly people and comfy outdoor seating, and I'm glad to have found it.

I would just like to say that the coffee is OK but the prices are a bit inflated. I paid $6 for a small oat milk cappuccino. The oat milk came with a 1.25 upcharge which I thought was pretty high. Locally owned coffee shops are hard to find in this area so I was really hopeful. I've been here a few times but have not had much luck in getting a consistent result with the same order.

I love Foundation Coffee Co. and have visited this location and the Ybor location multiple times. Their coffee is great, especially with their house-made syrups, and their chai is one of the best I’ve had. They recently partnered with a local strawberry place and now offer strawberry shortcake with fresh berries and house-made whipped cream. This was so light and fresh and something I would order again.

They're over price, it's not even worth it to go there wasted money ...I will not recommend it...I'd rather to go to the regular restaurant has more choices with this kinda of amount of this money.

Such a cute spot to stop for coffee! When the weather is nice, it would be fun to sit and have coffee with friends. I stopped to get breakfast to go and was not disappointed! The girls working we’re so nice and helpful! The coffee was really really good and the croissant breakfast sandwich was to die for! The breakfast Cuban was good too, but the croissant sandwich is something special!

It was hot and threatening rain. I'd been seeing these little Strawberry Dairy 🍓 signs posted along Boyette Road near Saint Stephens. I NEEDED a strawberry milkshake! I made the turn into the Foundation Coffee parking lot at Carr Road. This is a beautiful little spot AND they have a drive through window for those days when, like mine yesterday, you're just too hot, hurried, tired or maybe even just a little funky from the heat to step out and be all sociable. Thank you! Only one car ahead of me at just before their 3 o'clock closing time. No long wait. Maybe three minutes and I was greeted by a lovely, smiling lady who took my order and returned again within minutes with this amazingly fresh shake that was everything I'd been hoping for. See those little bits of strawberry!? Yea, real fresh strawberries! I watched her hand dip the ice cream AND their own in house whipped cream made right there for this dreamy refreshment! Not too sweet, no weird residue or aftertaste. This is the real thing y'all. And the whipped cream is so light and fresh. Probably the best I've ever tasted. 💯 gonna be back! Oh, I had to get a shortcake for my friend back at the house. Super fresh and delicious. Firm, ripe, fresh berries with the perfect juicy "syrup" over a big piece of cake! My friend told me to "tell that lady I love her!" without ever lifting his head from the fully engaged enjoying his shortcake position. Seriously, these flavors take you back to Grannie's house. I can Highly recommend Strawberry Dairy and Foundation Coffee! Hey, do you guys have a rewards program? Sign me up! Great drive thru service 👍 Fresh and delicious strawberry treats 🍓

Great specialty coffee. It was nice to find them out here, no other speciality coffee shops in the area. Coffee is great quality I've bought their beans before and wasn't disappointed.

Best coffee in town hands down. Their iced shaken espresso with vanilla and cinnamon is the only bright thing as I was studying for exams and I ended up passing too! Thank you Ashley for the always amazing drink suggestions

Nice place but you needs more vegetarian and vegan food options. All of the breakfast items have meat.

The coffee I tried was not tasty but I might come back for another go if I can get a better recommendation. The tables had lots of crumbs & ants were bothersome; the chairs are frayed so sitting was slightly questionable. I love the setup but it's all outside so if there's rain or it's very hot then it's not enjoyable. This was probably very nice when it opened! You guys need to wipe the tables or hose the area each night so the ants aren't crawling on your customers and customers need to pick up after themselves...it's not that hard people.

Excellent food, coffee and service but the highlight was the strawberry cheesecake. My toddler loved it 🥰

We got a smoothie and a chai latte. Smoothie was just okay. Latte was not good and I couldn’t force myself to finish. Told the employee it was our first time and there was no introduction/recommendations like you would expect. I asked about both the latte and cafe con leche and the girl told me she didn’t know what either tasted like or which she preferred because she hasn’t had either. I don’t understand working at a coffee shop and not knowing your coffee or consuming it. Unfortunately first and last time visiting.

Such a cool cafe! My first outdoor cafe experience. The coffee and the pastry I got were both really good. And it was a very calm and serene atmosphere. There is plenty of seating to come hang with friends or just grab a morning coffee and relax. The workers there were very friendly and it felt like a modern, small town coffee shop. Hope to come back!

Great little coffee shop with unique flavors

Drove 20 minutes to get an iced coffee for them to tell us they don’t have ice with an attitude. There were two attendants and not one greeted us when we approached, one should’ve left to go get ice or management should have brought some. No one is drinking hot coffee, outdoors, in 84 degree weather. Very poor customer service, no warm welcome, lost three customers, do not recommend wasting time or money at this establishment

We discovered this cool little gem while staying at an Airbnb right down the street. Their house coffee was great and my wife’s chai was delicious according to her. I had their Tampa Cuban and she had their breakfast croissant. Both were fire! I loved the outdoor seating and the chill vibes of this spot. Can’t wait to go back!

We just stopped in for a cup of coffee but this is a pretty cool place.I bet at night. Is really nice but just because it's all outside They needed to put up some fans or something. I would think, but while we were there the period. It's right across the street from saint stephen's church period

Could not have been more disappointing. I have driven by this place for 2 years always thinking I need to stop. Today I did but wish I would have kept driving. The pictures lead you to believe one thing but the reality is much grimer. Food items cannot be modified, they arr made in another location and just heated here. They server the soda hot and in a can, no cup of ice. A "meal" for 2 served in one box so there is no where to put your food down. The ladies were nice as they continously told us no for every single request we had. Not their fault but this place was a really bad joke. To top it off they charge premium prices for bargain quality products. Save your money and time and go else where. This is not the coffee shop you hope it is.

$7.69 for a large hot Mocha. And it’s cold on my first sip. Are you guys serious? Never again. Oh and after $7.69 for one coffee, there’s a tip screen. A tip? So my coffee is now $8.69? $9.69? Why not just pay the workers from the $7.69? Extortion.

Coffee was fantastic! My wife had to order 3 different breakfast choices because they had no idea that they were out. Then brought out a muffin that was frozen inside. In the end they fixed it but wasn’t a perfect experience. Outdoor sitting area was very nice.

I got a 1/2 vanilla 1/2 caramel iced latte. Flavors are great. Baristas are patient. The outdoor seating is set up really cute even though it's at an intersection. I'm definitely going back.

Very expensive and slow for an already assembled microwave sandwich. I think dunkin donuts down the road is a better option for the same quality. Inside could use a thorough cleaning as well.

Coming from a fellow barista, my experience was unsatisfactory. I ordered an iced decaf honey rose latte with almond milk. The syrup was added first and then the almond milk before pulling the espresso shot. I watch the barista open a new container and pour a watered down version of almond milk into my cup. The barista noticed that it was watery and shook it up BUT did not pour out the watery version sitting in my cup, instead she continued to pour on top of it. Now let’s talk about the espresso, I watched the barista make both regular and decaf drinks while I was waiting for mine and noticed the pressure used when tamping seemed very light and after watching the grouphead pull the shot my assumptions where confirmed…very short pull of only 8 seconds….should be between 18 - 25 seconds for a double. There was dribbles and not a steady flow of espresso with no crème. I am very disappointed in my experience and will probably never be back.

was absolutely amazing. i had no idea what i wanted beforehand. i described what i was in the mood for and they did a great job delivering. i went through the drive through and the line went by super fast. customer service was great, they were very patient with me and made sure to give me something they thought i would like. coffee tasted great.

I was ordered a large con latte, but I recived a small size.. When I realized,I already leaved there. However my coffee was great.

I was super excited to try this place but unfortunately the reviews and pictures are certainly misleading. When we got there we were the only ones in line, tried to order and they had only two food items available. So we chose the breakfast Cuban which was borderline disgusting. It's ICE COLD lunch meat with a lukewarm sausage patty, barely warm eggs, warm bread, melted cheese and mayo.. The difference in temperatures was repulsive. We ordered two cheese danishes which I was super stoked to try but they were stale. A sandwich, 2 danishes was $17?? I'm sorry but there's trash and straw wrappers everywhere and no one seems to care. Not worth it although the location is cute.

Went by yesterday for the first time and will not be returning. First off, the young girl that took my order was snobby and not helpful, The coffee was not good and When I asked for a cuban with no mayo she informs me that all the sandwiches are pre-made and she cant do anything about it. Which I found odd since I waited over 8 minutes for an “ already made sandwich” Tip: Not everyone eats mayonnaise and goat cheese so maybe try “pre-making”them without that inside of it.

I love getting coffee. They are about the same price as Starbucks, but taste so much better. I had their cuban breakfast sandwich on my last visit. It was amazing. Now my son asks for it when ever we are near here.

Amazing coffee & breakfast. I got a lavender oat milk latte 1/2 sweet and it was one of the best coffees I’ve had! My only complaint is I wish there was a location in Apollo Beach/Big Bend area! 🤩

My only issue is that the large is actually only a medium, that is the reason I only come here once in a blue moon. I can go to Starbucks or The Blind Tiger and actually get a large for about the same price as the so called large here🤷

We have been here on and off for years now and it's that spot we love when we want to enjoy nature a bit while sipping are favorite selections. They also serve breakfast sandwiches and other food well if your hungry, worth a try.

Pullover coffee (Columbia coffee)is excellent !

I would recommend this place, but there were a few problems. The cold brew coffee was sour. The staff was mostly pleasant but seemed a little annoyed that they had to take orders and work. When there were no customers, they could have at least swept off some of the leaves from the furniture or wiped the trash can instead of playing on their phones. And I wish the place was further from the road; a very bad sewer smelled rolled in while we were eating. Also, the menu is limited and no room for special orders; they didn't have avocado. It is kind of like a food truck. Otherwise, the cafe con leche, blueberry muffin, and Cuban sandwiches were good.

My husband and I drive 15 minutes out of our way to go here for breakfast some mornings when we work from home together. They are a really slow because there are only 1-2 people working there, but the breakfast sandwiches and coffee specialties are worth it! We've also had lunch there and sat outside in their gorgeous courtyard, which is even nice during the Florida summers with their AC units.

The coffee and the breakfast cuban I ordered were great. The service was quick, especially considering how busy they were. All outdoor seating but comfortable and well spread out.

Trying to like this place, Love the location and setup. way overpriced for the quality. 3 times that I’ve ordered lattes the espresso tasted re-used/watery and the milk temp was way too cold. 2 out of 3 times that I’ve ordered a sandwich it’s made me sick, (which is what prompted me to write this review - currently regretting having eaten one a few hours ago). I always tip well and the service is still painfully slow. I used to work at a coffee shop and I know everyone has their bad days so I’ve given it multiple chances, but keep being disappointed!

Hot lattes were barely warm, milk alternatives are overpriced, the gas fire pit doesn’t work since they “haven’t had a tank in forever” just seems like this once good place has lost it’s touch. Even the ambiance feels off with the poor landscaping and dirty patio area.

WOW. I can’t say enough good things. First of all, it was a beautiful day when I stopped by, which makes everyone in a great mood. It was my first time in, as soon as I walked up I was greeted by the friendly baristas who provided me with a menu. When I said I hadn’t been here before but was a little picky about syrups, the male barista with glasses was super kind and explained where their syrups were from and also explained their specialty syrups. The oat milk was a great option because I’m plant based. I ordered a large latte with oat milk and the honey rose syrup. I had HIGH expectations because this place is really cute. Took one sip and went to heaven. Move over Starbucks because this coffee blew my mind. It reminded me of a coffee I used to get back home in Delaware at a niche shop. So thick and creamy and tasted great. I will definitely be back, with friends, and a smile. Love this place so much!!!!!!

Always fantastic coffee. The people who work here are really nice too. They will seem to like their job. The sandwiches are just ok, but the baked goods tend to be good.

Very mixed feelings on this location. Love the ambiance of the place and came here several times to drink and eat in the past and introduced to friends as this is the only nice cafe that isn't a franchise in the area. However I took family here today who is from out of town and I couldn't finish my sandwich (which I figured was just me) due to nauseousness and we noticed it didn't look very fresh.. maybe because we were there at 2 pm, my cousin is now sick and vomiting.My sister also didn't agree with her coffee. Not sure what it was, maybe the egg in both of our sandwiches, or the milk in the coffee as we all didn't like very much this time around but I am scared to recommend or bring someone here again.

Been driven by here a few times and haven't had a chance to pull in had the most amazing triple brevet latte with 1 PM of mocha and a pumpkin spice warm muffin. Delicious. Stop in and try it when you can.

I felt so comfortable here as a queer person and that's huge. This felt like a safe space to have some coffee and get some work done. Staff was wonderful and my pour over was divine!

What a bunch of selfless, respectful people. They are all so nice, I made an error in my order and they instantly took care of it with no issues or questions asked, not to mention their amazing coffee. Definitely recommended
