Great lobster Rolls, smash burgers are amazing,

Saw this place and decided to give it a try. My husband got ribs and brisket with Mac n cheese and baked beans. I got the Connecticut Lobster roll with fries. The lobster was way over done and rubbery and the steam table had steamed all the flavor out of it. My husband said the Ribs had decent flavor but the steam table had made the texture a little mushy. Same with the brisket. The baked beans were extremely spicy and he couldn’t even eat them. The Mac n cheese was good but was pretty salty. The fries were cooked fresh and were good. We won’t be back but that is because this place just wasn’t good for us. That is just my opinion.

I absolutely love this place! The food is amazing, and the Ghetto Lobster Roll is hands down our favorite. The flavors are incredible, and the unique twist on the classic makes it a must-try. Can't wait to come back for more!

This place was great- after a long day during a work trip, I wanted something fast and close that I could take back to the hotel, and this hit the spot. It is in a great area with a ton of shops & a lot of ambience. The servers were very kind & fast. The portion of lobster was surprisingly large, and it tasted great. Sides were also very good, truly no complaints here.

The food are perfect without any doubt. The atmosphere of the place is perfect for big family dining or a casual grab and go or even nice and quiet romantic meal for a couple. The cashier lady who helped me was fast and very helpful. It was my first time being there so it was hard for me to make decision. My only complaint was the server or I should say the runner that has lack of training and experience. That makes the service kinda slow and not appropriate.

This place is okay. No paper menu for a disabled person to browse while sitting down was a major inconvenience. Lunch partner had ribs that he enjoyed, though the portion was lacking relative to price. I tried the lobster roll. While it was generous, the lobster had been frozen (expected) and actually tasted very fishy and was freezer burnt. Total waste of taste buds and money. Stick with ribs for an ok meal!

To begin with, the table was not cleaned when we arrived, and they never cleaned it afterward. I ordered beef brisket, coleslaw, and green beans. The beef brisket was way too greasy. The flavors were okay, but the fattiness of the brisket was overwhelming. I tried my best to separate the fat from the meat, but it was a failed mission, and I ended up not finishing it. The coleslaw was the worst I've ever had; it tasted spoiled, so I asked them to replace it with French fries. The green beans were fine, just really average. I will not return.

Except for the bake beans garlic lobster roll, bar be cue etc was delicious.

Great BBQ Pork and Baked beans. The sweet potato fries were so-so, but did come with a ramekin of melted marshmallow which I dipped once to taste and it was still just so-so. The restaurant was very clean. Customer service was good. This is a counter service type of dining. You order at the register and they bring the food out to your table. Self-service soda. Great price$ The restaurant allows the Lakeland Cruisers to host a car show in the parking lot every Friday night.

The lobster roll was awesome!! Ill be back for the barbecue!

I was really confused when I ordered a platter for 10 and got servings for six people. All I know is that other BBQ places serve ample food and I will be going there from now on. Thanks.

Pulled pork and ribs are awesome 👍. We didn't need the sauce but that was great as well! Service was on point too. It's in a mall area so we didn't expect it to be authentic but it was amazing 🤩

Gaskins is the best! My favorite food is lobster rolls and I’ve tried them in many different places when I travel. Nothing compares to the quality and flavor profile of these rolls. I also love the loaded fries and cornbread! 🥰

Take out was easy. I was recommended to try Gaskins and was pleasantly surprised by the take out packaging of my lobster roll. Deconstructed for my dining pleasure! Also purchase a pint of fried clams strips, which my server prepared to go with fresh lemon wedges! Yummy! I also bought 8 oz of Brisket sans sauce(KETO FOR HUBBY). All was freshly and quickly prepared and lovingly packaged moist chopped. I will be back! My server, Holly D was amazing and made sure I had everything I was looking for! Thank you! 👍

Food was phenomenal and I’m a picky barbecue critic who has been to many top rated barbecue places (one of which won an award), including but not limited to, “Smokecraft Modern Barbecue”, “Texas Jack’s Barbecue”, in VA/DC & more. This place was second to none, flavors were very tasty!

***** Update 06/05/24 FOOD QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE ISSUES!!! COMPLAINT WAS FILED WITH FDACS. We have eaten here frequently and left great recommendations for Gaskins, this WONT be one of those. Today we ordered a chopped brisket sandwich combo as well as a ghetto lobster roll and thats where the issues start. The Lobster Roll was overtly fishy today, we were asked how everything was so we told the young lady that the roll was very fishy and asked her to smell it, she obliged and stated well it is Lobster and walked away. 2 minutes later my wife decided to work on her baked beans which are usually great. There was a large piece of clear plastic in the baked beans so i called the young lady over again, she picked up the tray and walked away, no words, no apologies, no nothing. At that point I told my wife we are done here and left the premises. It gets better, we called back the restaurant and asked for a Manager, the same young lady said no Manager was present, I asked for the Managers name to which I was told no Manager is present, I was then handed over to a man whom identified himself as Hamp Johnson, stating he was the Manager and chef, he stated his Lobster Rolls are always fresh and we left the restaurants without saying anything to anyone. I requested a refund for the 1 bite of Lobster Roll and was told if my wife hadn't taken a bite he would possibly refund that, he then offered to refund the plastic infused baked beans and told me that he knew this was going to happen and he has already told the Managers because "I didn't come to him correct" and hung up the phone on me. I am aware you sell a Ghetto Lobster Roll, that should be as far as the ghetto goes, CLEARLY HAMP JOHNSON SHOULD NOT BE REPRESENTING MANAGEMENT OR ANY OTHER SUPERVISORY POSITION, and with plastic in the beans, he doesnt even qualify to be a chef. I KNOW THE MANAGER HERE, TALKED WITH HER ON MANY VISITS IN FACT....Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant, there are restaurants aplenty at this venue, spend your money elsewhere and if you encounter Hamp Johnson, expect plenty of ghetto, plastic in your food, fishy Lobster rolls and a shizzy attitude from all, price tag for $62.12 GOOD LUCK. I did file a formal complaint with FDACS.

Today was my first time visiting Gaskins. I was very impressed with the customer service and food. I had the fried clams, french fries, coleslaw, and Connecticut lobster roll. My mom had the fried shrimp and french fries. She raved about it. The food arrived very fast. It was hot and fresh. The lobster was amazing! The best I have ever had. The vanilla ice cream was delicious also. We will definitely be returning again.

Wow......... Barbecue and lobster rolls amazing!!!

The deluxe pack claims to feed ten people. However, it only came with six utensils, six cornbread, six ribs and not enough portions and sides for ten people.

My husband & I had lunch on the patio today because we had our dog with us. There was a nice breeze. We had Maine lobster rolls with butter! They were very good. The service was great…one of the waitresses came out & checked on us a couple of times & brought water for our puppy! PS: she has 2 dogs

We went to Gaskins for mother's day about 2:30. Plenty of open table's. Had the lobster rolls. VERY good prices. 30 dollars for a 4 inch lobster roll in Apopka. Beans were good, Clam strips maybe a little pricey, but good. We will be back. 20 minute ride instead of 1 1/2 hrs. to Apopka.

Amazing food and atmosphere, the employees are great and helpful, since my 1st visit, I've been back twice in a month.

We had a wonderful time for lunch today! We were kindly greeted and given great recommendations. I had the double smash burger with white cheddar mac and cheese (plus a little ice cream at the end - yum!) and my husband had the pulled pork plate (added a bun) with baked beans and cole slaw. Everything we had was delicious. Service was wonderful! Definitely recommend.

My wife,took me for lunch. Nice surprise, it was really good. Very well cooked and seasoned. Very good prices. Service was outstanding. And the free ice cream afterwards taste homemade.

Had the ghetto lobster roll with a side of fries! The included vanilla ice cream was a plus. At first it seemed pricey for a lobster roll, however, the quality of the food was fair for the price. Everything was delicious and fresh and came out quickly.

When I first went to this place I was worried. Barbeque and Lobster does not sound like the right kind of mix. With that in mind, I took a chance and their lobster rolls are the best. So delicious and occasionally on sale but man are they good. They have a wide range of different kinds and I usually get the Connecticut lobster roll which is warm with butter since I'm not a fan of cold cooked food or mayo. 10/10 so delicious and worth it. Boston-MA Dad approved.

Awesome staff! The food is out of this world. The brisket melts in your mouth, and my wife's lobster roll was outstanding. Jacksonville lost out on a location that would have seen more business with this restaurant there. I will be definitely going back here the next time I am in Lakeland!

Had a lobster roll, it was soggy like it was old

Very small portions for a very large cost. I ordered a lobster roll for myself and 1 other person. The cost was $62 for the 2 of us. The lobster came on a small piece of garlic bread. Very disappointed.

Best BBQ in Lakeland! Big brisket sandwiches, it's so good you don't need any sauce.

I come here often with my wife and kids. I enjoy the food and the staff. I highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area.

Had a 327.00$ take out order for a family luncheon. Monster Lobster Rolls and a deluxe BBQ pack. The food was amazing. Fresh delicious Lobster and plenty of it. The BBQ was moist and perfect. The sides especially the mac n cheese and potato salad were like homemade. The wings were meaty and smoky Definitely recommend.

The ghetto lobster roll was fabulous! The employees must have been having a terrible day as they were not friendly, courteous and didn't seem to want to talk to us at all. I'll try it again on another day.

Love the Lobster Rolls, although they are pricey. It is worth the drive, relaxed casual atmosphere, order at the counter, and food brought to the table, friendly staff, and free ice cream for dessert! You can't beat it.

Just tried a pork platter with potato salad, baked beans, corn bread, and a double cheesburger. Food was fantastic and portions were good for the price. Friendly customer service and was surprised with a free ice cream at the end. Recommend trying out Gaskins, and I definitely would eat here again next time in Lakeland.

I had a very late lunch today and went into Gaskins for the very first time. The service was exceptional. The restaurant was very clean and inviting. I was able to chat with and order from Jeane the owner. I ordered the lobster roll and lobster bisque. The lobster roll was as good as any I have had on the coast of Maine, but much better value! 😉 Both the roll and bisque were delicious! Now I want to try the rest of the menu!

Food is good. The manager was unfriendly and rude!

We did delivery, the fee was higher than I usually see but the amount of food we received was HUGE! Fries super crispy. Cornbread and pickles looked super fresh. The meat just melts in your mouth! I'll have left overs for sure. So glad we decided to try it out! I will be ordering from here again.

As someone who was born and raised in Maine, I can assure you that you will not find a better lobster roll than you will get at Gaskins. The quality blew me away, especially considering the surprisingly low price. I couldn’t believe I was able to get a lobster roll that was as packed with lobster meat as these were for only $16.99!!! You won’t find one like this in Maine for that price I can assure you that! Plus the banana pudding? So delicious and was a great way to finish off my meal. Mind blown that I was able to get a lobster roll, a side, and a drink for less than $25!! Unreal. I will absolutely be back and I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a great meal at an even better price.

Gaskins is consistently great. I miss the Winter Haven location but the Lakeland spot is large, nice, and very clean. Our favorite is the ghetto roll (warm with garlic butter), but this time I branched out and loved the wicked good roll, which is cold, mixed with mayo, and served on lettuce in the bun. We made ours combos for $4.50 extra (side and drink) so we also shared fries, and the BBQ beans which are extra good because they have bits of pork and brisket in them. The owners were working there and are very nice, friendly people. Service was great! Also, lobster rolls were $14 because it was Monday.

The ribs are delicious and friendly service.

My buddy and I ordered the Ribs and the Brisket. For our twos sides, clam chowder, beans and a side of coleslaw. 1. The food was delicious, best brisket that I've had in Lakeland so far. 2. The atmosphere is pleasant, music wasn't too loud and the service was great. 3. The two ladies taking orders and serving us were very attentive to us and gave us free ice cream. 4. The price is expected for great food. 5. I HIGHLY recommend this place. 5 out of 5 stars. Thank you Gaskins crew!

$50 for 2 sandwiches, with drink and small side. Lobster roll was good, but we've had bigger and better for the same cost. There was way too much sugar in the cole slaw. The banana pudding definitely isn't homemade. Not worth the money.

Love the whole belly fried clams, (check for availability) they give you a little cup of ice cream after your meal. Good experience, friendly people.

I have never been to this place but I literally just not even two minutes placed an order and the girl on the phone literally didn’t want to talk to me or even take my order. I don’t think I’d want to be back just because of the service the food may be, but the service is terrible.

First time here Excellent food I had the surf and turf burger its double burger topped with Maine lobster I got mine without lettuce tomatoes onions and pickles it was excellent its topped also with garlic butter and you get vanilla soft serve ice cream as a dessert I will definitely be back.

Great Barbecue, great choices on there menu. Cozy dining room that is spacious and clean. Their menu offers choices of seafood and Barbecue, and sides. A nice bonus with your meal, free ice cream after you have finished your meal.

A little more expensive than other BBQ places we frequent smaller buns on the sandwiches. Loved the openness and decor, staff very friendly. Couldn't really smell any wonderful BBQ smells in the restaurant.

One of my favorite places in Lakeland. The grilled chicken plate was my go to. With fries and potato salad but since they got rid of the chicken, I get the pulled pork. It’s still good. On Mondays my husband and my father go for the special on the lobster rolls

This place was amazing the service was impeccable the courtesy Of the hostess. Simply said Was warm and Caring Like being greeted by a family member. I highly recommend trying them once and you will go back.

We had sliced brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and a smoked lobster roll with fries, potato salad, baked beans, and mac and cheese. All were delicious! The lobster roll had huge chunks of lobster. Free ice cream after your meal was a nice touch. The owners and staff were amazing, too! Looking forward to going back and trying some of their other seafood options.

The Lobster roll was great. Hot and freshly made. The bbq brisket was juicy and not to fatty. Ice cream at the end was a happy bonus.

This place is well deserved the lunch date with my hubby. Diana our server was very professional, courteous and above all an incredible person. We'll be back soon

We've been here twice in the last couple of weeks and have not been disappointed. The service is warm and friendly, the food is delicious, and the restaurant is very clean. The brisket grilled cheese is amazing as well as the banana pudding!

I had the Ghetto lobster roll and it was really good a little pricey but you get what you pay for. My grandson had the pulled pork sandwich and he said it was ok not great or anything but just a pulled pork sandwich. I'll be back and try something else and I'll for sure go back and get the Ghetto again.

I was a bit skeptical because I didn’t know anyone who had personally tried Gaskins; I’m glad I didn’t let that lead. I placed an online order on Labor Day and held my breath waiting for a cancellation. True to the email, the food was ready quickly and it was delicious! We tried the brisket, ribs, pulled pork, and smoked chicken. All of them were tasty! For sides, we had the mac, baked beans, and green beans. They were solid, with the mac being my least fave, but again, solid. I’d def come back and would recommend the same for anyone inquiring.

Every time we crave CML we come here! They’ve been consistently preparing the best Connecticut Monstah Lobstah rolls around!
