We ordered food in the beginning of the 1st quarter, got our food in the 3rd quarter. It was skimpy at best.

Good food. Service a little slow. Prices a little high but I guess that's Brownwood. $5 drafts.

I stopped in for lunch with a buddy while the ball game was on, Had some wings and a couple of beers sat at the bar and the young lady at the bar was very nice and helpful and a lot of fun talking to overall had a great time. Will definitely come back

Not bad. What you would expect from a bar. Food was fair. Excellent service.

3 of us visited here durning the 4th of july weekend. We dined outside with no wait. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant as we looked over the lake. And the staff was on time with the food and drink. Also, we did not have to park too far away. I would go back.

The cheese steak was amazing and I'm really picky on my cheese steaks. Would recommend if your in the area.

Our server was great, food was hot and fast. Ita the only place open after 930pm around the villages that iant a 45 minute drive. Only down side is the obnoxiously loud sports games on the PA system throughout the restaurant/bathrooms. Only thing that's a negative for me.

New menu items are worth checking out

Told my waiter my fries were cold. He said sorry, and did nothing. It was a little crowded, but we got seated right away.

Cool place, laid back bar. They have never disappointed..

Food is way better than Cody’s . Bar maid on Monday is slow but good. I found that Jordan is a very good waiter when we sit at table. He is very attentive!

We shared a French dip that was super delicious, and the beer was ice cold. A very nice place located on Brownwood Square, the Villages.

Typical big box restaurant. The waitress was extremely nice. But the atmosphere was gymnasium-like. Bright. Typical. Uninspiring.

I love coming to this bar and come multiple times a week. The service and experience is absolutely exceptional especially at the bar when Larkin is working because she is definitely the highlight of the bar! She always makes me smile and gives me the best service possible. She makes amazing drinks and always makes sure all of her customers are well taken care of. She's truly an amazing person and bartender and I love coming in and seeing her!

We had 12 people.We sat 6 women at one end and 6 men at the other.The waiter got all our orders correct on the 6 bills. He was attentive to all. Food very good most had .wings.👍

I ran restaurants for 27 years as a GM and Ops director and I would have never allowed a restaurant to be on a wait at the door but yes/ ok to use 2 tables…. 1 for rolling silverware and the other for chlorine rag buckets!! There has got to be more common sense than that.

Was a great place for having dinner outside. Took a while to get someone to wait on us but when that was fixed all was good

Game night so they were very busy. Slow, food ok, but we will be back. Waiter fell all over himself to help and serve right.

We ordered a appetizer at first which was the gator bites, I told the lady that I was going to order a water and just to give me a sec to think about which cocktail I wanted since they didn't have a drink menu. Someone else brought us or gator bites and it was nothing but breading. Our waitress did not come back at all and we sat there for more then a half hour, we had to flag her down just so we can get the check because we were not going to eat there after the horrible service and appetizer. Mind you it was not busy what so ever, she only had 2 tables. First time there and definitely won't be back.

Had the southwest egg rolls and they great, the Philly Steak sandwich was wonderful and plenty also the food was hot.

All around best experience I’ve had at a Gators Dockside. Server “Lance” was the most professional young man I’ve met in a long time. The food was outstanding! Not a single complaint about our visit. Thank you Gators Dockside!!! We will return

Drove an hour to shop and for their Philly Chesestake. Worth the time.

Best chicken Philly that I have had at a gators! Our server Isha was friendly and attentive. I will definitely ask for her next time I visit.

Seated by a very unhappy hostess. Sat for 20 minutes and was never acknowledged. Several other tables were complaining as well. We got up and walked out.

Fun and festive atmosphere, often with live music. Outside seating overlooking a lake . Servers friendly and attentive. Food service is a bit slow but the results taste great time after time

The hot Nashville chicken sandwich was 🔥🔥🔥🥵. I was impressed.

This was much better than another Gators dockside we had gone to in the past. Servers were attentive and the food was actually better. The grilled wings are gluten free so it was a rare occasion for me to eat wings, and they were pretty good. The Caribbean jerk and parmesan garlic I liked best, but smoky barbeque were decent as well.

We had a large group after golf. Good service, varied menu, good food.

Terrible food and terrible service. Over a $100 ticket and it was terrible. Lemon pepper wings taste like they had a chemical on them, lobster ravioli was so watery, and we had send back the tea and cokes because even the drinks tasted terrible.

OK, onion, pebbles and rings have a spicy breading I did not care for. Would rather add the spice myself. Hamburger was good.

The New Menu for 2023/2024 is Great. I would always prefer more Beer Taps. Still one of my favorites, Brownwood, Gators Dockside. Plentiful Selections of Food and You can find something to like here. Lots of TVs and Sports at Gator's. CU There.

My burger was not done as ordered. Waitress FINALLY came around. Sent back to finish cooking. It took longer to cook the burger a little more than it took to get all 4 of our original meals. Waitress never checked back with us …nor with the progress in the kitchen. By the time I got my plate of food back - the other 3 in my party were completely finished eating and their plates already cleared.from the table … informed waitress to just take it off my bill …she decided to argue with me about it. Still NO apologies. I didn’t go out to eat with another couple and my husband so I could eat alone. . Then my husband ordered another drink - the waitress never came back with his drink …just the bill. The whole experience was ridicules !!!!

I had a waitress her name was Aryeal All she did was cuss and complain Really rude and smell like she just smoke something other then a cigarette I went to the restroom our waitress was in there and she didn't even wash her hands. Now I don't know what standards you hold your waitress to but she was definitely below standard I even watched her at the bar on duty. She actually had the nerve to add her own tip to our check

Not a good place to go as a single, sat at a table at the bar not one person acknowledged my presence for over 15 min., I was looking forward to a good meal, lucky plenty of other places to eat around there.

It was a great time, since they closed our normal location Tampa, it was good to beable to go back to Gators, It was a good time

Gators is our go to place to watch the KC Chiefs play with one of our Chiefs clubs. The drinks are reasonable, food is good and the staff is exceptional!

For place called Gator's dockside they have the worst Gator appetizers. The server was fine. The cook came out with the second order of gator that was almost as bad as the first. I won't recommend it will go back.

Waitress was kind and professional. Food was ok. The fries were a little overcooked. Overall experience was nice.

Waited so long for service. The hostess was unfriendly and sour in her attitude. Server came 20 minutes after we were seated to take our drink order.

Ordered lobster ravioli, lobster bisque, garlic bread and drinks. Restaurant was not that busy but it took almost 45 min for our food to show up. The service sucks here, waiter was OK. Requested that they try to get food out quickly because of health issues. They didn't care. What place takes over 45 min to get soup and ravioli to the table? Won't be going back anytime soon.

If your a sports fan then this is the place to go. Surrounded by throughout the whole place. I went on a Saturday and they had every College Football game on and they do the same for the NFL also. The menu consist of mostly finger food but do have entrees. Great food. Great manager and staff. Recommend going to have a great time.

Great place to socialize and have a drink but I would not recommend getting any food from here. I've went a few different times to eat. And plain and simple. The food sucks, unless you like burnt pretzels that taste like fish, or ribs that aren't cooked all the way and you can't even cut them with a knife let alone chew them. But friendly environment. Just not a good place to eat

Stopped in for a late lunch and was greeted by very nice staff. Young kids, but very courteous and always smiling. Sat outside where there was a band playing. Nice view and ambiance. My oldest son ordered the wings, which were really good. My youngest hot the Mac n cheese, and he too liked it. Unfortunately, my husband and I ordered the fish tacos, but when they arrived, they were made like fajita style. Not the norm, and not what we expected. It lacked flavor, and it just did not taste good. If we ever come back, I'd definitely get the wings.

Drove from Ocala to meet my brother coming from Orlando to watch the Hurricanes play Texas A&M. 30 tv’s but the couldn’t put the game on a single tv. Done with gators. Should have known better considering the name. SMDH

Tvs not even turned on at my side of the bar. Bartender talked to her friend at the bar with her back to me as I had my food and no silverware. Food was very good.

They need to close Gator dockside in Brownwood till they get the air fixed in this place nobody can stay in here enjoy their self close it and let the employees have their pay

Amazing service by Larkin as always but had to cut it short due to the heat. Don’t wanna sit in a heater box after a long day of being out.

No gator at gators 😭 Coconut Shrimp, Lobster Bisque, French Onion, and especially the Turkey Burger were 😋🤤 delicious.

Gator's Dockside is located in the Brownwood Town Center in The Villages. It is a fun eating experience. Lots of TV'S. The patrons were enthusiastically playing trivial pursuit when we arrived. Good food, fun atmosphere and friendly servers. I highly recommend Gator's Dockside in Brownwood.

Food was absolutely disgusting. We eat at other Gator dockside, and this one is terrible. Everything came out burnt. My son ordered mashed potatoes, and it was soaked in brown gravy. The French onion soup burnt. I would never go back. The only thing they did was take off the soup.

Server needed to be more attentive. The ribs were dry. Potatoes okay. Onion soup was good. Long wait for cocktails. Lots of stuff to look at.

Had a cheeseburger and fries.. the fries were nothing but frozen store bought crinkle cut.. the picture on their private label ketchup bottle showed fresh cut delicious fries. The burger tasted not fresh but frozen.. don’t waste your money. The burger was 14.00, I Wish I went to Five brothers around the corner.

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to Gators Dockside in Brownwood this past weekend. I sat at the bar and Larkin was my bartender. She was so attentive, friendly, and all around fantastic. There were times that she got really busy, but her service never faltered. She gave them same great service the entire night. I will definitely be going back and I will make sure I go on a night that Larkin is working because I know I'll have a great time and be taken care of.

Great food. If you go there Monday thru Friday for lunch, I asked for Laura best server we ever had.

We went for lunch with some family members. We ordered some wings and fries. The wings were ok but I’m a little frustrated that I couldn’t have garlic parmesan but themselves. Instead I had to get the one with the bbq sauce or whatever it was. Not too sure if we’ll be back.

Had fish and chips, the fish had no seasoning and very bland, no flavor. The coleslaw was better.

Lost my sunglasses there. They told me they had them, but when I came back to get them, they couldn't find them! Mgr said he would call me the next day but never did.

Ordered through doordash to a hotel. NO silverware! Cmon! Once I finally got to eat my grilled shrimp over grits, it was very good. The problem is that it was such a small portion for the price. Now I'm out $35 for 6 tiny shrimp, a scoop of grits, and a tiny salad. I'm still hungry!

Worst place to eat in brownwood. We saw the reviews and figured let’s try for ourselves. Every negative review is 100 percent accurate. Food was served cold. GM was rude. Server was very apologetic (only plus side) With all the great places to eat at brownwood square. I suggest going anywhere but Gators!!!!!

I came in to place a to-go order. It was difficult getting the girl (Cee) to take my order because she had her back to the door while she was chit-chatting, hugging, and holding some friends that had just walked in the door. I actually had to interrupt her to place the order. I had requested extra ranch dressing, extra napkins, and a cup of ice. She brought the bag to me and told me to have a nice night. Not only did she not give me any of the items I asked for, she didn't even give me plasticware. She literally placed boxes in a bag and brought it out to me. I then went back inside to, yet again, tell her what I needed. She never returned. I then helped myself to the napkins and plasticware. She eventually came back and I told her what I needed. Perhaps she's working in the wrong position?

Sat us at a table near the bar then asked us to move because it was reserved for Trivia game. When we left Noone was at the table. Food was ok not enough for the price.

Terrible service! Waited over 50 minutes for our food. Couple who came in after us received a sandwich like we ordered and were finishing eating when they told us our order was coming up. We left. Went to Codys where we received excellent service and our food came out in a timely manner.

Enjoyed a family gathering on the patio.
