Our server, Lucas, was excellent! It was 2 for 1 night on beer and saki so we loaded up on that! We had the sushi sampler as an appetizer and all pieces tasted very fresh and were satisfying. I got the NY strip and shrimp hibachi and my date got the NY Strip and Salmon. We were both very pleased with our dinner. Both dinners came with soup and salad, which were really good as well. I will definitely be back and would recommend Ginza as a restaurant to visit when in Port Orange. Oh, our bill was also less than $100!

I love this place and I've gone here quite a few times but I noticed a decline in how long the guy spends doing hibachi tricks while cooking. Also it's kind of loud in there because everybody's in one room in tight quarters and it gets loud.

Talk about a great time I'm telling you what does hibachi Cooks the chefs were throwing food and we were laughing and the kids were having a great time and the drinks were there and food was phenomenal and the atmosphere was great definitely want to go again and would definitely recommend it

Beautiful decor, the lighting as you walk in is gorgeous. I came alone for the Hibachi & was sat with an absolutely adorable family. The entire dining experience was entertaining, and hilarious. From start to finish the chef was making jokes and keeping everyone on their toes with a saki gun, tossing veggies to us, and of course everyone’s favorite part- The fire! Super enjoyable dinner even without a party or group, this is an excellent place. Food was delicious, and they are not shy on the portions… Perfect leftovers!

We went for lunch. The food was tasty, and the young man cooking hibachi was entertaining.

I was in Daytona Beach visiting family, and I had found some restaurants I might want to try while in town. Ginza was on my list. We ended up here for dinner on a Saturday night, and I am sure glad we did! The restaurant was quite busy, but thankfully, we got seated right away before it got real crazy. The restaurant has hibachi and sushi, but we were doing sushi that night. We started with the edamame and fried gyoza. All was great. The gyoza and the sauce it came with was so delicious I got an order to go. Also, usually gyoza comes with 5 dumplings which can be annoying when sharing, but theirs came with 6 and was very much appreciated! My daughter got the California roll and loved it, and I can’t remember the name of the roll I got but WOW!! I looked online, but it’s not on the menu. They had this picture book and other rolls on another menu not reflected online. It had spicy tuna, cream cheese, and avocado, and light rice wrapped with the skinniest yet longest piece of tuna. I had mine made with soy paper, and in my opinion, it changes the taste in all rolls for the better. I have to say I think this is my most favorite roll I have ever had. There was a light wasabi sauce and maybe eel sauce under the roll on the plate. The presentation….. Show Stopper!!! It was an absolutely beautiful plate! I was so pleased. Overall our service was good. It started off great, but then our waiter got sat three tables back to back after us (one of which was a party of 8) so he was quite busy. For that reason, we were never checked on to see if our food was good until we were done and our refills lacked, but the food made up for that. I could see what was going on so that did not affect my rating. I have no doubt things would’ve been different if all those tables weren’t sat back to back. The ambience is beautiful and modern. There is this gorgeous light fixture that changes colors I could stare at from where I was sitting. I captured it in my favorite color pink. Love!! The attention to detail was in everything from the appearance inside to the plates we ordered. I will definitely be back when I am in town! Oh how I miss Florida sushi!!!

Always a good time and fresh food, had filet and scallops fresh, a lot!

We’ve dined at Ginza many times and have always had a great hibachi experience. Last night, however, was not good. We made a reservation for 7 people. We were seated a little late and were squished into a table with 4 others. Several of our party were basically sitting at the other grill, which already had 8 people at it. The cooks rushed through cooking the meal and didn’t present the usual fanfare that is part of the reason we go. The fried rice didn’t taste the same because of this and the rest of the food ended up just okay. I hope this isn’t the new normal for the restaurant.

The fact this place only has 4.7 stars is a travesty. Filet melts in your mouth. Rice and noodles were amazing. Sad I’m only in town for one more night or I would be back.

Absolutely love this place! I’ve been here several times, take family here when they are visiting. Never had a bad meal or a bad menu item. The staff is friendly and service is great. I’ve never had to wait a long time for anything.

This place is absolutely stunning! As soon as you walk in, the lighting and decoration just leave you in awe. The sushi platters are beautiful and creative, not to mention delicious. We ate hibachi and loved it. Our cook was hilarious and fast. It's a perfect location to celebrate a special ocation or just for a nice date. We will definitely be back.

I don’t know WHAT was going on tonight at Ginza. My party of four were sat at a hibachi table that was already there, as normal. The service started out slow because they were really busy. Understandable. Then, we ordered our food and the chef shortchanged everyone at our table SIGNIFICANTLY some portion of the meal. Then, when the meat was being served, he had given out all the meat to others and left none for someone in our party. Absolutely short a portion . We tried to quietly and discretely explain this to the manager and were completely okay with chalking this night as just overly busy for Ginza. I get it. Then, the manager came to table and said she would only charge us for the rice, noodles, salad and soup since he had started eating it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I tried to explain that he ate as the food was delivered in anticipation of receiving what he ordered. She kept insisting that we pay for a the mixed vegetables meal. I was absolutely dumbfounded. It was like I was haggling a price on a used Galant. I am in the restaurant industry and can understand pretty much any given situation but to insist that a customer pay for something they never received is ridiculous. The food and atmosphere aren’t impressive enough for this kind of management.

Japanese is always one of my favorite places to go. My daughters and I went here today and, I have to say it is top-notch. The service is excellent ( thank you Ed) and the atmosphere is very welcoming and calming. We started out with appetizers. The spring rolls were very crisp and fresh, served with a sweet-sour chili sauce. We also got the spicy edamame , a bit too spicy for me. Both of my daughters being vegetarians had the hibachi vegetarian dish, which comes with soup, salad & rice, delicious. I had the Kani salad very good, a little hint of spicy in the sauce just perfect. They made me a special roll which was spicy Salmon, cucumber and avocado in the middle and then I put Sashimi salmon on top. We ended up having the fried cheesecake for dessert! We must say the food was excellent.

I use to work here. Although the food may be good, the owner is a horrible employer. Monica, a Chinese woman, took horrible care of her employees. We would have to tip half of our earnings to the hibachi chef instead of her paying them a livable wage. I know what you’re thinking. They deserve a tip too, right? And yes they do. But whenever a table tipped the hibachi, they wouldn’t share that tip with the servers. So some tables would just tip the hibachi and wouldn’t tip the servers assuming it was split between the coworkers. If we messed up on an order, Monica would take it out of our tips. For instance, I forgot to ring in an extra order of white rice (which gets thrown out at the end of the night anyways) a $3.00 small bowl of rice. She’d make me pick her up from home because she didn’t trust anyone when closing the store down when it came to finalizing checks. I was never reimbursed with gas or time and worked off the clock for her. That was when I was fed up with this establishment. I’ve never worked at a restaurant that were blatant thieves. Check out the other 1 star reviews and you will see how much of a monster she is. This was years ago and I’ve moved on with my life, but it’s sad that she still does this to her employees and people still support this business. I was young at the time and I’m sure there were laws to protect me for this kind of behavior. Your server is only making 10% of tips because they won’t pay their hibachi chefs a living wage. We both suffer.

The food is just okay. For example, fried rice is just made with a small amount of egg, nothing else other than soy source. Disappointed. The cook/ chef show was nothing special. For a show, I experienced Jamician and Turks & Cacos, with native-born chefs give a better show at the Resorts. The food was much more tasty at the Resorts, too. I will keep looking... The prep of the food, taste is my priority, always.

My first visit to Ginza Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi Bar, and I will be going back! We’ve eaten at many Japanese steakhouses over the years, looking for just the right one. We’ve finally found it. Food was great! Clean,friendly and great service. We ate Hibachi. The steak to my surprise was really tender (cooked just as I ordered), the scallops and shrimp were huge and everything was super tasty including the rice, noodles, veggies,soup & salad. Great variety of items with each meal. I don’t really eat sushi but I did see a lot of people there ordering and eating sushi and looked pleased with it. You should definitely give this one a try! I highly recommend them and wish I would have discovered them before now!

Dine here often, yet the past couple of times we have had the worst server! “Hunter” I believe is his name, seems like he would rather be anywhere but working. He is too fast gets an attitude if you have a question on specific item on menu, doesn’t ask if you would like the ginger dressing or ranch for salad. We had a table with 4 kids 2 from another family and he brought everyone ginger salads and when we asked for ranch dressing instead for the kids after salads were already delivered he responded with, “yes, but you are going to have to give me a min, so it might be a while.” We asked for chop sticks and he runs back and throws them at the table turns around without a moment for us to ask for anything else. If he could just slow down for a moment he could take out requests and come back to the table once instead of back and forth back and forth. I get everyone has a bad night, but this has been an on going event every time with this one. (Also, this was Mother’s Day) a special event for our little family. He stopped and told us we were rude when we asked if he could just not take our appetizers away while we were still eating them. The final straw was when he added 20% automatic gratuity on our family’s meal when we had a party of 5 when the menu clearly states “party of 6 or more its auto gratuity”. (He knew what he was doing when he realized we weren’t happy with HIS service.) We are great tippers I have been in service industry for a loooonnngggg time, I over tip my servers and my family and I are very understanding when it comes to how restaurants work because of this. But his actions and remarks made our experience very unpleasant especially on Mother’s Day! For the restaurant it’s self we are always pleased with the food and the entertainment of the Chefs!

Our experience was not the best. We went there for my 14 year olds birthday for the hibachi experience. Yes his birthday was on the day we went 5/9. We had a group for 6. We ordered appetizers that were ok. We each ordered a hibachi dinner. The chef was NOT entertaining at all. I have been to plenty of hibachi and this by far was the worst. He did not put on any show. The food was mediocre. Still after the lack of enthusiasm we generously tipped him $20 as we would any hibachi chef. After we ate we got the bill. According to their website if you eat dinner there on your bday the meal Is free. I pointed out to our waiter the meal is not credited for my son since it is his bday. He asked me if I had ID for him. I said he is 14! Am I supposed to come with his birth certificate for a $20 credit LOL. He said he would ask the owners but they are very strict about not having a ID. He came back and said they would NOT HONOR IT. I laughed. Mind you it’s not the money that matters it’s the principal and just about practicing good business. We tipped the chef the same amount that we would get the credit so trust me it’s not the money. It’s the principal. When you have a 14 year old with a table of people giving him presents and he does not have a ID with a birth date on it, shame on you for not honoring that. We WILL NOT return to this place. Our bill was $277 and you would not honor a $20 credit. Horrible business. Think again before you go here. And if you go for any birthday be sure you bring a BIRTH CERTIFICATE for the younger kids that do not have a ID that shows a birthdate This place SUCKS.

Went for lunch for my 3 year old son's birthday. It was just the two of us. We wanted the hibachi experience, which you have to purchase 2 meals to have(My adult meal and a kids meal sufficed). The food was great! Our server Lucas was EXCEPTIONAL and we will definitely be going back because of how special he made our experience! They gave my son some awesome paw patrol decor and a free ice cream with a candle and everything! Birthday to remember 🥳

My all time favorite place to go. No other similar place in the area even compares. They are fast the staff is wonderful the food is amazing in taste and in looks. Beautiful decor and cozy atmosphere. And you can't beat their prices! We had so much leftover to take home. I can't even explain how much I love Ginza. ❤️

Perfect Sunday at the Sushi Bar

Went with a group of 6. Food was awesome like always. Server was okay, could have been more attentive, but wasn't horrible. Chef was full of energy and very amusing. Great time.

It was my mother’s 87, birthday. We were so rushed , my mother couldn’t even eat, we had to take her food home, no where to give her presents, we had to stand in the parking lot . This place is crazy, they need to check out the one on FLeming island, where they give you your own room, you can do presents. And take as much time as you need. This place was throwing containers at you before you could take a few bites. Never ever again . Disgrace to old people. 🤬

We love this place, the kani cheese stick rolls are amazing. My 10 year old son LOVES them and noodles. I love the salmon and rice. It's all delicious! If I could afford to, I'd probably eat here everyday.

I was refused service at the hibachi table because I was by myself. I was asked to sit at the sushi bar to see if someone else came in or they couldn't serve me. ( They must be Chinese, because Japanese aren't that rude ! )

Great sushi! Fresh! Love the atmosphere. They have hibachi too if you choose. Nice staff. First time we went we got 2 warm rolls. next time, we got cold ones (not fried) so we were able to taste the different flavors! Very good! Love roll and something cat roll! Large rolls!

Guys please make sure you grab all your belongings when you leave this place. I accidentally left my purse there, me and my mom were the last to leave and they closed right after. The employees were the only ones there when we left. Money was used from my bank account . When i came back the next morning they said they did not have it, and i explained that one of the employees there had to grab it. The manager made sure to cover up for this, she refused to show me further camera footage of when i left the store. Its sad that when i tried getting back my purse with valuable, meaningful things I was treated horribly. Overall , i wouldn’t recommend this environment to anybody.. This short extremely blurry clip was sent to me to “show i had it on me”. When i remember i didn’t walk out with it and left it hanging from the chair

So disappointed with my order, I ordered sushi to go, the portions were extremely small compared to normal. The rolls were lazily cut all different sizes, and packaged sloppily. Over all there has been a huge decline in food over my last 3 visits and we will no longer choose to eat at this restaurant.

Finally getting around to writing review of THE BEST JAPANESE restaurant ever for sushi. My family adores this establishment for the quality of food and atmosphere. Service is almost always good. My favorite two sushi items are the Daytona Roll (made with fried lobster) and the spicy tuna roll. The ingredients are always fresh and presentation is awesome, especially for the non lunch box specials). I recently have been taking my mother who just moved here from San Francisco and she is unable to eat rice so she gets the Daytona roll wrapped with cucumber. She says best she has ever had. Busy at night.

I had the steak and shrimp. I have never had ginger dressing like this. It was so overpowering. It wasn't good at all. I couldn't eat it. The yum yum sauce was very bland. It wasn't like most restaurants. I do eat at these types of restaurants often. I wouldn't come back.

I went here with my wife a couple of years ago but I saw it on here and I loved it so much I thought I’d leave a review. It was excellent all around. We didn’t go to the hibachi side but we definitely will be back. We sat in the regular dining area and we got soup, salad, krab rangoons, sushi, and a chicken entree. The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was so efficient. As soon as we finished one course the next was immediately there, and the lights were beautiful.

Super friendly staff. Even though they were crazy busy. Everything came out so fast. The food was incredible. Magara sweet roll was the best. 10/10 recommend this restaurant

We had Hibachi today, and my son and I, we got sick. My son threw up before we left and my stomach was hurting me. We suspect it was the plastic containers that the Hibachi chief used to squirt Saki and water into our mouths. This has to be it because no one else at the table or in my party felt ill. I raised this concern with the female in charge (a young lady), but she just blew me off.

We had a great time at Ginza. We enjoyed the Hibachi. The seafood was very good. The kids took thier noodles home and enjoyed them the next day. Definitely we will be back

Great sushi and love the place. Couldn’t give it 5 stars because two of my carry out orders have been missing food from order and caused me to drive out again to get it.

Great for Japanese Steakhouse. UTA...12/25/23 party if 7. I ordered double rice, everyone in our party agreed the rice portions were miniscule compared to past trips, my "double" rice order was the size of what were used to getting for a standard serving. Food was still delicious

This sushi is the ABSOLUTE BEST!!! That I’ve found here. Bae Bae is amazing 😻, along with the other staff. The atmosphere is refined dining with very delicate soft lighting, beautiful 🤩 music, and impeccable staff and seating arrangements. This place deserves 5 stars 🌟. Food was scrumptious. I had never been to a hibachi grill before and kind of expected what I'd seen on TV. It was a little extra and actually quite fun. An interactive dinner with a bunch of people I don't really know was made much more interesting. The kids I saw had a lot of fun trying to catch the pieces of food tossed to them as one of the tricks. The restaurant itself is warm and inviting with a modern look, and pleasant lighting. You can tell it gets loud but it isn't annoying. I could still hear my party members well enough. The staff was nice and helpful. Our waiter was a bit rushed but it was a very large party. Even though I think it could have been a bit better, they were all nice and still got everything we had asked for. I definitely would like to go back again. If I had this much fun with strangers, imagine how much better it would be with people I like. Lol

This was a great experience, dinner and a show. If you like seeing your food cooked in front of you in a fun atmosphere I recommend you give it a visit. The food is great a bit pricey for me but what do you expect when you get dinner and a show huh? Its worth a visit in my opinion especially if you have little ones, they'll love it.

Pros: Tender steak! Delicious onion soup! Sake super soaker! Cons; When the chef has poor aim, things may hit you in the face. Get over it though, because it was fantastic

Sushi was very good. Onion soup is amazing. I ordered hibachi with chicken and steak. The steak was very tough and the chicken not really seasoned. Did not come with noodles, is it supposed to? Would be back for sushi not not hibachi

The rices and noodles was a horrible. He put too much sauce to cooked a rices and noodle. It was taste too salty, sea food cooked with out lemon . I never come back this place again.

I took a pick up delivery First of all they charge a lot of money for a simple roll, Second i got salmon roll and the fish inside was left over’s small pieces of fish with the skin I will never order from them again!!! Disgusting I throw everything to the garbage $25 for two rolls

I wanted to support the small guy versus takara. I’m a vegan I made that known ahead of time but the bad thing is is that the cook came out cooked everybody else’s food and everybody had their food before me. Everybody was done by the time I got my food it was such a disappointment, and it was my birthday, I will not go here again. Period, such a disappointment. Kept saying…. Oh, your food will be ready in a few minutes. Your food will be ready in a few minutes. Meanwhile, my party of 10 is already done eating.

Went for my birthday. They give you a $20 credit if you come with a party of 6 or more if your birthday is within 7 days of your visit. We got the deluxe combo for 2. Has scallops, shrimp, chicken, fillet and lobster. Meal was great and left with enough leftovers for 2 more meals. Only thing they could improve is delaying the hibachi cooking a few min longer to allow people to finish this apps/sushi. This has always been a favorite place of mine and I will be back

We had the hibachi and totally loved it we showed up early around 5 PM and had a spot all to ourselves our party was just 3 people I have the shrimp and scallop dinner and it was fantastic

I love Japanese steakhouses and have been to several. This was honestly my favorite one. Really good food, super fun chefs, and really cool vibes and ambiance. Highly recommend.

Fun place for families if you eat at the hibachi tables you get to choose what you want the chef to cook for you. The chefs are quite entertaining and the food is good.

I didn't eat here because they do not serve alcohol, only beer, wine & saki. I would have liked to have had dinner, but I wanted a mixed drink so we left. I cannot comment on the food or service. The atmosphere was lively and a bit noisy. It looked very clean inside.

Same quality as any of the more expensive Japanese steakhouses but only $25 a plate. What a deal! Will usually go in the early afternoon and have the place to ourselves. And the lunch prices are even better. You always get an entertaining show with some extra sake shots and the chance to catch some food with your face. This is my favorite go-to restaurant. And fire what other restaurants you get fire there like write your face I mean even Burger King doesn't do that much with fire this place is awesome. And in another hour so I get to go make the leftovers I brought home. But you don't get five stars until you get better cutlery.

Solid sushi options with quality ingredients. Separate area for hibachi if sushi isn't your thing. Interior decoration is very modern with lots of leds, not what you'd expect for this type of restaurant, especially in Port Orange.
