Best hamburger I have had in decades. I was very surprised by this, but even more pleased. It was cooked perfectly and the meat was tender. I was only passing through, so I won’t be able to determine if it was a one and done or if the hamburgers are always good there. My only disappointment was the lack of vegetarian options for my husband.

Quiet little hometown breakfast spot, the service took a little longer than I feel like it should have but the food was very good. I would happily return here for breakfast if I was in the area

If I could rate it lower, I would. This restaurant deserves zero stars. Slowest service, always forgetting refills, food is mid. I do not recommend this restaurant at all to anybody visiting Okeechobee. Go to Pogey’s or Crossroads for better service and food.

For a breakfast stop I found it satisfying. Ordered the Cowboy omelette with Hash browns, omelette was good, hash browns could have been grilled a bit longer! I asked for onions and peppers with the Hash Browns, only saw a few pieces. Way better than any chain food restaurant by far.

It's rare to find a nice homey place with nice food like you have at home, but Glady's hits all those marks in an honest straight forward fashion.

This is a really good place to have lunch! We just ate there today! Soup was really good and meatloaf sandwich too. The BLT was thick sliced bacon and loaded! And the key lime pie was great! Service was really good and friendly and food came fast! Thank you! Good prices too! Sweet potato fries really good!

First time Get at this location was served by Julia. Overall atmosphere was nice the food was so so the pancakes good But not so much the eggs they were very rubbery when we informed the server, she stated that because we said that we were fine the first time that she wasn't going to do anything about it! However, the first time she asked us we had just got the food as we did had not tried eggs at that time! Julia needs better customer service skills!

Spoke with a person we met in the park across the street from Gladys restaurant who suggested a nearby cafe as she assumed that Gladys was out of business as there is a for sale sign in the window. We chose to try Gladys and were very pleasantly surprised we had the fish and shrimp special and would recommend it.Took some pictures to post but notice that there are already better pictures posted I would note that the lunch special is now 699 not as shows on some of the pictures

I had heard of this place so I flew into Orlando and drove to this Okeechobee restaurant, Small place with a great breakfast. I ordered Steak and Eggs with toast and home fries. Delicious! Nice little road trip is worth it. CLEAN, GREAT SERVICE and a place where all the locals meet. Sorry I didn't take any photos. The landscape across street is beautiful Cowboy Cattle Drive.

We stopped for lunch while passing through town. We've eaten at a couple other places in Okeechobee, but this one was special. The food was top notch, the service timely and personable, the atmosphere well kept for a basic eatery with a strong presence of local diners. All in all we were delighted and would happily return. And so we recommend it to you as well.

what the heck happened to Glady's???! I've been going here for years, but I haven't been here for almost a year. They either changed cooks or the cook that was there for years severely bumped his head and forgot how to cook. All of the vegetables on my omelet were absolutely raw!!! I'm not big hung up on large portions but come on!!! Is Glady's hurting financially? it appeared the were scared to death to put any hash browns on the plate, and they.used to put the jelly, and jam and sugar on the table, and you could use as you wanted. Now you have to ask the waitress, and then wait until she happens to make it back to your table. and now they charge almost $4.00 to use a debit or credit card. Is Glady's dying a slow death. Totally desapointing

Food was cold. Waitress offered to change it but I told her I did waste Food and would deal with it.

Food was slow coming out, and wasn't that good. Looked like someone threw some fries on the plate. Should have ordered breakfast as that seemed to be coming out of the kitchen like clockwork. No drink refills either. Oh and they charge a credit card fee. So glad we had cash on us this day! Wasn't worth our wait.

Food was very disappointing. This was the fries you get with order. When asked they said "yes that all you get". Really no meat in Philly wrap. Service very slow. Took 40 mins to get entrees

Great little down to earth diner. Prices are very good, service is always good and the atmosphere is relaxed. Hours are short, so you need to be patient, a line is likely as it isn't really big inside. It's worth a little wait for home style cooking.

We’re building a house in Okochobee now one of my favorite things is to stop at Gladies for breakfast

The two waitresses that were there today both made very snarky comments to my family and I, once when I asked for a coffee after receiving a lunch menu and the other was when my mother asked for the check. The food was very average and the atmosphere felt like we were in a dimly lit finished basement. It's unfortunate.

We enjoyed the food and the service was exceptional. I would suggest or recommend this place to anyone.

We enjoyed our meal at Gladys’ restaurant. It’s a little awkward when you first walk in and there is no sign to seat yourself. We sat at the bar. I ordered the eggs with biscuit and gravy. My fiancé ordered the steak and eggs. Both were tasty and fresh. I noticed a plate of pancakes came out next to me. They looked phenomenal. I wish they would serve fresh half & half or cream with their coffee. With all the dairy farms around this doesn’t seem like an unreasonable ask. In addition the staff seemed preoccupied with their phones and shopping for fishing gear. It made me wonder what else they were ignoring aside from the dirty dishes on tables. I love the prices of this place! Ans the food came out quickly and tasty. I know it’s hard to find good staff these days but it would go along way to remind the staff to stay off phones right next to people. I’m addition our bill had an illegible total at the bottom so we had to ask for a receipt in order to understand the bill.

Poor quality Hash brown overcooked. sausage? I don't think so. Nothing hot. Breakfast in general was terrible

Best breakfast between Port Charlotte and the east coast! We did a (looong) day trip from Englewood to Cape Canaveral and we had to start quite early, so we needed a place for breakfast somewhere in Central Florida. We took the scenic route and passed Lake Okeechobee and here we found Glady's restaurant with great food and fantastic service at great value. There were also many local, regular guests it seems, which shows that this experience is probably also very consistent.

Did a breakfast ride to Gladys' Restaurant in Okeechobee, FL. I kept it simple and had Coffee, Bacon, Eggs, toast and hashbrowns. Everything was perfect and fast. Great place! Recommended by me!

Ordered scrambled eggs, hash browns and sausage. The eggs were done perfectly but the sausage and hash browns were burnt. Great coffee.

I have been living in okeechobee for the pass 4 years and this is one of my favorite places for breakfast 😍. The waitress are very friendly . Excellent customer service. Highly recommended. Soon 2 be husband and I went to Okeechobee🛸 music festival got to town early that Thursday morning and decided to stop here for breakfast. We enjoyed the place- clean, the right lighting, news on the TV, newly renovated we could tell, friendly waitress My love enjoy his whole meal!! Gone! I was excited for our anniversary and the festival & didn't have much of an appetite but the bacon was awesome, 2 eggs looked 3, but my pancake was little undercooked in the middle but the edges were sweet and delicious- I'd go back that's for sure. Side note the town itself is amazing- brick buildings with awesome painting on the sides & retired military machinery in the middle of town was really neat to see. We enjoyed that🇺🇸

My wife and I stopped here for breakfast and absolutely loved it. The breakfast sandwiches I ordered were amazing and my wife had some grits that were some of the best we've had. Thanks for a great tummy filling breakfast.

Corned beef hash was great, small portion though. You can only get eggs hard or easy no medium option and my gf and her brothers steaks were super hard and not cooked to temp. Lively diner though lots of people nice breakfast vibe

My favorite place to go to when I'm in Okeechobee. The prices are right the food is great, customer service is excellent the customers are all homegrown. I love going to this place can't wait to go back.

In two words... Top notch... In three words... Cheap..Quick..Delicious. When I'm out and about I'm always looking for biscuits and gravy.. these guys definitely have some top notch B&G for sure. Breakfast for two people was 15 bucks with both of us ordering an extra side and a drink. Worth the stop!
