I love this little mom and pop health food and supliment shop. They have just about everything you need, and the owner has a plethora of knowledge on just about everything regarding nutritional health.

Grassroots is the bomb. One of the only places nearby that carries some of my favorite things. They also have ingredients that I need for my homemade baby toddler formula. I love the people here they’re so nice.

Love this natural market. If they don't have an item you are looking for, they will order it. It is great to shop somewhere that has already filtered products based on ingredients.

Every time I go in this store I am overwhelmed by their inventory! They have yummy fresh veggies, healthy drinks & ever supplement you can imagine. I bought cbd oil for my dog & activated charcoal for myself. The associate walked me to each product & showed me the variety, then left me to make my choice. Conveniently located on Park St with a front & back door. If you need any sort of healthy food or supplement go here first!

Great store, staff is friendly. I love the variety of items focused on health and wellness. I especially love their smoothies and juices. But I have to know why you allow dogs in a grocery store? They’re not even service animals. I see people toting around small dogs in this store and even as a dog lover, that’s gross. If I walked in here with my large dog I’m sure I’d get flack real quick. Just super weird to allow this in a grocery store. Response to your reply below: You might want to enforce this policy better because I saw two people in one visit with small dogs that were not service animals. Service animals require a leash and training, which both of these dogs had neither.

I really love Grassroots and frequent here often, along with frequently getting their smoothies and typically loving them, and referring others there, too. Today I got a smoothie, and they advised they were out of almond milk and would substitute for oat milk, which is fine, I drink oat milk almost daily. When I got my smoothie, I realized it not only tasted different than how it usually tastes, but it flat out tasted bad. I inquired about it first, to which I got every excuse as to why it “tasted like that.” I finally stated that it honestly just tasted bad, and advised the employee that they need to check the oat milk they used, to which the response was quickly “no, the oat milk is fine”. I explained that I’ve never had oat milk that tasted like that before. The employee continued to ramble off why it might taste the way it did, with another employee standing behind them observing but no communication was made, however there was no “I’m sorry, I’ll look into that” or “is there something else we can make you?” from either of them. Just a “tough luck” attitude. I finally just sighed and said “okay, this doesn’t taste good/right but I guess there’s nothing I can do… ” And left. Very weird customer service during this (although not the first time I’ve received unnecessary attitudes from staff or observed this with other customers being on the receiving end, so today was kind of my final straw with this factor). I have an extensive retail and customer service background and would personally not have argued with or responded to a customer like what I got. After I got home, still having not drank the smoothie, I asked my partner to taste it to see if I was crazy, not explaining anything other than that, and they instantly made a sour face and said that tasted bad and also tasted freezer burnt, and they agreed that the oat milk was probably bad. I threw out the smoothie. Edit: I appreciate the owner’s response, especially in regards to addressing the customer service factor. Something needed to be said, and issues can’t be resolved unless there is awareness first.

I like the simplicity of this Market. I found everything I was looking for and more. It is a little pricey...like some things I found cost more here than in the grocery store I normally shop in. So I picked up from the grocery store instead buying from the Market. I plan to shop here again, but only for the things I can't find in the grocery. With the price of things going up everywhere, I'm shopping smart.😊

I’ve been shopping at grassroots for several years now. No matter who works there, my experience is always great! Today was no different. My favorite thing to get is their smoothies. But, I switched it up and got a beet juice. Cheers to my health

You won't find any garbage food here. Sure you will find snacks, energy drinks and a lot of other stuff, but you will also encounter one of the best curated fresh produce sections in town.

I go to Grassroots every Tuesday to get my kiddo's goodies. I absolutely love this store. You can get everything you need and more. Every single staff member is just awesome. I just love this store I wanted to add that their Raw milk is truly amazing!

I love Grassroots! I’m so grateful to have this grocery store near me. This place is pretty much a weekly stop for my husband and I. We get local cheese, raw milk, and quality meats that are hard to find in other stores!

Everyone who works here has always been so nice and helpful. Clean store. I like that the staff can have tattoos and hair how they want. Which at one point in time places were more picky about, it never should have mattered anyway what someone else wants to do with their body.

I ordered three smoothies. When I arrived, there was only one made. They treated my senior citizen mother with disrespect and treated me with an arrogance like they didn't appreciate my business.

I go here when I wanna try some new healthy stuff like herbal coffee mixes, herbal protein powders, I also get my lymphatic and body detoxes from here from the brand HerbsInc/ Herbal medicine, greattt prices for their stuff and they make smoothies! I have been going here for yearssss, they’re definitely growing and adding more stuff to their shelves

Grassroots in 5 points is the only place in Jacksonville you can buy high quality Natto. And if you don't know what Natto is, you should google "Natto Pubmed" and see some of the reseach on it... It's something worth having in your diet for sure. They also have the best Miso brand, South River Miso, if you don't know about them... Their Dandelion Leek Miso is so good a jar of it was given to the Empress of Japan as a Gift... Grassroots in 5 points has the Dandelion Leek Miso, it's pungent heaven in a jar. I make Vegan Mac and Cheese with it and I have no regrets about leaving aged cheeses behind... The Miso Mac is far superior in taste and nutrion... For the sauce I use Brazil Nuts, Hemp seeds, raw Garlic bulbs, Smoked Paprika, Black Pepper, Olive Oil, Miso, Natto and kelp/irish sea moss powder in a vitamix, sometimes I add an avocado or sunflower seeds too or some cooked veggies like squash, corn and mushrooms... All of which you can get at grassroots... They have great produce for all kinds of recipes and sell locally grown mushrooms and micro greens that can't be beat. I use their Quinoa noodles for the mac and cheese, although they have lots of other great Gluten free organic noodle options. As well as organic corn tortillas, refried bean and green chilis for those of us that grew up out west and need green chilis in our lives for dips and casseroles and enchilladas... They also have organic Tamarind fruit in a glass jar for anyone who loves Thai cooking or looking to Detox from Fluoride and heavy metals, google it if you don't believe me, Tamarind is powerful stuff and wonderful in smoothies with spiralina and "modified citrus pectin"-pubmed search that for more info on detoxing. They have a decent frozen fruit section for at home smoothie makers as well as a wonderful smoothie bar with lots of options and add ins. The owner is very friendly and takes time to answer questions, makes the shopping experience very relaxing and empowering. Most things in the store are organic and the prices reflect that compared to conventional, but with the unbelievably high amount of pesticides in conventional food products and the alarming amount of studies out that show highly processed foods are causing our gut microbiome to become "industrialized" and make us incredibly sick, it's worth it to buy local food, freshly picked with the highest amounts of nutrients available for our bodies withouth being covered in pesticides that harm our bodies. We are what we eat and I like being Fresh, Healthy and Local, that's why I shop at grassroots and not wholefoods or publix. Grassroots has local produce grown with love, organically and delivered freshly picked, their local produce and microgreens are farmers market fresh and organic... That's priceless.

I came here for an event originally, but I decided to shop around a bit since I have a ton of health problems and sensitivities. Staff were amazing at explaining things and showing what they had. I got a few gluten free items as well as dairy free. I was happy to be informed they also accept EBT which is great for me. They had a ton of options for yogurt and ice cream and pizza. Everything I used to eat before I developed sensitivities to it all. I'm definitely going to be coming back here after the 23rd so I can try some different things and see what my stomach can handle. It's family owned and operated which is also convenient. They can order one off or cases of items also if need be.

Went in for smoothies had no bananas when 90% of their smoothies contain bananas. I then offered to buy a thing of bananas for them to use and they wouldn’t allow it since they weren’t ripe enough, with brown spots all over them. I’m just confused….. business lost $20 for two smoothies and I was willing to purchase the INGREDIENTS.

They have an great selection of produce, shelf stable products, and fridge/freezer foods. You can find so many organic and vegan options here too. The staff is always very friendly and helpful and you never know what you may find here! They also sell the BEST dried beans!

Fantastic place. They carry a certain bread product ("Food for Life") that has hugely improved my gut health. The only place near me that carries it. Plus, they do custom orders of my favorite items. Highly recommend this market.

I went to get a juice from grassroots today and the juice bar was already closed and all cleaned up. When a young lady by the name of Kiara heard me talking to the woman at the counter, she decided to accommodate me even though she was already off and everything was already clean. I just wanted to say how much I appreciate her kindness, she went above and beyond! 😁

Amazing fresh juice selection. I got the invigorator which had carrot as the main ingredient. I automatically assumed it was going to be gross, but worth it because of the health benefits. To my surprise it was actually extremely delicious. I will definitely be returning.

TERRIBLE, will never go back. Native sun or honestly any other healthy local grocery store is so much better. Out of stock of many items. Ordered a juice and waited 10 min, told me they were making it, 10 min later they forgot to ring it up and had to wait another 10 for a refund. Terrible service. And another customer didn’t take my drink, it was just never made after I was reassured repeatedly you were working on it. Nor was I offered a refund and new drink, otherwise I would never have taken the time to write a negative review. Mistakes happen, bad customer service shouldn’t.

Stopped in for an Acai bowl today, and checked out the inventory. Grassroots has pretty much everything I seek after, organic, local, grass fed items. Vegans will love this place also. I already can't wait to come do more shopping here as an avid supporter of local small business. I'd also be interested in hearing or reading about the Grassroots Market story of how/when it came to be. 5/5 recommended for foodies everywhere

Totally glad I found this place! I was getting raw milk delivered to my home because the local dairy farm is about 45 minutes away. This place is only 10 minutes away and have raw milk so I can go whenever I want.

Always liked this store, just hard to consistently support them with the outrageous prices (the name brand milks are way more than Whole Foods or Publix). I understand that there’s not much they can do about it. They aren’t Whole Foods. But overall, they have a solid selection of healthy food items and great smoothies.
