I recently had the pleasure of dining at Gud Vybz Jamaican Grill while traveling with my pets, and I couldn't have been more impressed. Despite sitting in my car to wait for the food, the staff kindly brought it out to me, and I was amazed at how fast it was—hot and fresh in just 4 minutes! 🥹 The flavors were absolutely incredible, capturing the authentic taste of Jamaican cuisine. Whether you're a local or just passing through Pensacola, this place is a must-stop for a delicious meal. Highly recommended!

The food was great, but my order was wrong.

I tried the oxtails on the day it was really flat, didn’t have no flavor no kick the rice and peas was ok and the cabbage crunchy like how I like it, atmosphere was OUTSTANDING the place was not outdated it was really nice tables, chairs and pictures that was astronomically done I guess hence the name “GUD VYBZ” if the oxtails were as half as good as the vybz it would be 15/10, will try something else next time I drive through there🤨✅

I was there eating one day and I overheard what I think was the boss telling a young lady that was working that he has to take $130 out of her check because the register was short and she was crying saying evey week you claim the register is short.. he was very rude talking to her as of she was a slave and couldn't do anything about it he said if you dint like it then quit. Maybe it's a culture thing but I felt bad for the worker. And the food isn't that good and customer service there suck

Everytime I come in the restaurant I'm greet with a smile. I love the Cabbage 😋

Rice and peas was dry this time, goat meat was pretty good

I’ve been wanting to try this place for the longest and oxtails were my choice. I ordered the large for $24.99 +tax I believe it means more rice and steamed vegetables. I had two pieces of tails with some meat, and we all know there’s hardly meat to begin with, the rest were bones. The flavors were amazingly sweet and savory! I will go back and try again.

It was a bad vybz but it’s starting to be a Gud vybz. The food started to taste more Jamaican, before I don’t know what was going on. Also every time I go there I have 90 points, so be careful of the point system

After reading some of the reviews I was a little leery but everything was delicious and the woman at counter was great. I had the jerk and curry chicken and the brown stew. My daughter and I got the small and have enough for another meal.

Awesome, super tasty food and friendly as can be. We have laughs with staff every time we’re in there.

I just left here and this is my first and last time to eat here. I ordered Mac and cheese and a small oxtail plate. The cabbage has no flavor whatsoever. I asked for white rice and got rice and pea. I don't eat beans and I don't feel like picking. The Mac and cheese looks and taste like it was days old. It's hard, and looks and taste like they just threw some more cheese on it and put it in the microwave. The oxtails are good though. Money wasted and I really hate that this was my experience being that everybody spoke so highly of this place. So after looking at some of the pictures I did get white rice but their are still some beans in it.

I called to ask about the portions of their catering to make sure I ordered the right amount, but the lady who answered the phone was upset and difficult to work with upon answering the phone. I can understand people being caught at the wrong moment, but please make sure the person answering the phone is available to service customers. Bad customer service costs business.

Let me tell you about this place. The food is great, the vibes are very welcoming. My wife and I visited from Dallas and one of the best and reasonably price Jamaican resturants we have been to. When you are in Pensacola, drop in and share some love with them and they will share it right back. One Love Gud Vybz.

Ordered for 1st time here. Suppose to be 45% off happy hour pricing on DoorDash. Understand and know 3rd party upscale price. With that said bought 2 lunches of oxtail with veggies and rice. Veggies and rice superbly great. Ox was seasoned phenomenal. Sad thing was both came in hamburger size Togo box and only had 4 minimal bites of meat and nothing but bone. Will try again in store in the future but advise be wary of portion size. Had more enjoyment of cabbage then the main dish itself as wasn't but only 4 bites on both entrees. Great flavor though. Honest review

I would advise anyone traveling to stop by here. The food was great and hospitality was so pleasant. We will definitely visit again on our next trip.

The Jerk pork & Chicken is my favorite and planning to try the tacos next. Wish they would add the wings to the menu🙏

Food did not disappoint. I'm visiting from out of state and had the taste for oxtails. I bought one and tasted it immediately. After that taste I bought another so I can have some the next day because everyone knows they are always better the next day. Cashier was friendly and gave me great recommendations. When I visit Pensacola again I will definitely make this a stop.

Although there was plenty of food,it was too salty the oxtails meat was tuff and hard to chew ,I may try another dish one day, but I don't think it's going to be a go to place on a regular basis.

I would like if more plantain were included 😋 6/1/24 My husband ordered himself the Jerk Chicken Pasta and he was happy, he said it was good. He ordered a Oxtail dinner for me. I have had multiple delicious oxtail in the past, but today I was disappointed. The oxtail was dry, and tough. Was there a different cook? I didn't finished eating the meal. The rice & peas was good, so was the spices. Hopefully, the next meal will be better!

Gug Vybz is a whole vibe! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is welcoming. I enjoy visiting the establishment and eating authentic Jamaican food.

Our first time visiting was Saturday evening. We had friends in town and everyone’s meals were delicious. The place was super clean and the waiter was very attentive. I will definitely add this to my favorites list.

Here’s my problem…I order from GudVybz weekly…same thing…I ask for extra gravy for the rice & peas & my rice is dry as a sheet of paper. I’m not understanding why they can’t seem to understand what I’m asking for. I’m all about supporting small businesses…but @ least let me pay for what I ask…

I honestly eat here twice a week, I can’t help myself. Everything is so good but it’s the oxtail that keeps me coming back. The plantain is cooked to perfection every time. A+ !!!!

I cannot attest to the authenticity of the food having never eaten Jamaican food. We like to try different foods and decided to give it a try. We were very pleased with the flavors, spices, and quality of food. Staff was very friendly. Service was fast. I will definitely eat here again

As I was heading to get gas, I noticed this restaurant and pulled into the parking lot to give it a try. The staff was warm and welcoming, and the oxtails were outstanding, the best I've had in years. I will make sure to come back next time I'm in the area.

I can't believe I am just trying this place today. The establishment is so clean and the food was very fresh. I had the oxtails and brown stew chicken mixed plate. Price is pretty reasonable as well. I only paid $26 and it was a lot of food. Glad I decided to drop by today. Very authentic, highly recommend

Being that I’ve had a much better Oxtail plate for the same price in Jacksonville except they give you way more, this was very mediocre. Cabbage wasn’t cooked long enough and with the large oxtail plate, I only got 4 small Oxtail. Definitely won’t be back.

We decided to take a drive, so my husband and I drove from Mobile to Pensacola. Before returning home, we spotted this restaurant. As we walked in, we were not greeted however, everyone that entered after us was... go figure!! After we reviewed the menu & placed our orders for 2 large and 2 small dinners, we just stood there bc nobody gave a time frame as to how long it would take. After abt 15 minutes, I see containers on the shelf and she yells the wrong name. I should've known it was a little suspect when we weren't shown the food before it was bagged and none of the containers were labeled. Once we got home... a good 60+ minutes later, we unpacked everything and to OUR DISAPPOINTMENT, we notice the largest part of the styrofoam plate was full of rice and the 2 smaller parts were cabbage and the meat. ALL THE PICTURES ON THEIR WEBSITE SHOW THE PROTEIN (MEAT) IN THE LARGEST PART OF THE DISH, so why were these our plates? I counted 3+ cups of rice for 3 small chopped up pieces of brown stew chicken? 1 piece of jerk chicken thigh cut 1/2 way through and the rest was rice and cabbage! 2 1/2 oxtail and 3+ cups if rice and some cabbage, along with jerk pork with the same amount of sides! I guess they now if ur not local bc clearly it was done intentionally! I took pictures to send to my bank bc I don't like getting ripped off! I hate trying to support ppl and they false advertise like it's ok! If u didn't have a problem jipping me, keep that same energy when I dispute it with my bank and get my money back... Damn near $75.00 for false advertising? Not Today!

I original went in just for some patties. Then I decided to surprise my hubby with some oxtail. The patties and oxtail were delicious.

The curry goat pasta was immaculate. It was creamy flavorful with a generous portion. I can’t wait to try something else on the menu. Great job. Sorry I don’t have a picture. I ate it too fast.

Gud Vibz Jamaican Grill is just as the name says, a good vibe! Not only was the food good but the service and atmosphere was good as well. We celebrated my husband's birthday and it happened to be karaoke night. It was a great time and the staff was amazing.

A flavorful dining experience in Pensacola!🍛 A place that offers unique and colorful dishes! Atmosphere: There is a good number of booth seating options throughout the space with a fun twist to them—all of the booths come with games that you can play while you wait for your food. Service: The lady who was working the day that I went was talkative and joked around with us! She made sure that we enjoyed the food! Menu items: If I remember correctly, I tried their Curry Chicken dish as well as their Banana Pudding and Cheesecakes desserts. I also had some Jamaican Patties as an appetizer, and they were the perfect mix of a soft flakiness on the outside and a warm meaty goodness on the inside. Everything was delicious and flavorful! The experience and food here is truly different from other places in our area! All of the colors inside and on the dishes are so fun!

I used to go to this place a lot for lunch but the last time I called they wouldn't let me place an order over the phone without paying first and I generally use cash only. I don't guess I'll be eating here for lunch while I'm at work anymore

I am very impressed! This was my first time; we had Mexican food yesterday, so today we wanted Jamaican food. When I asked Google for the nearest Jamaican restaurant, Bombeclot🤣 we were less than 5 minutes from Gud Vybz. We ordered Veggie Rasta Pasta; it was seasoned perfect, served hot. The music was great, the atmosphere was great. We took pictures of the art on the walls, even inside the bathrooms there are drawings of the great Bob Marley. I'll definitely be back!!!

I got the mixed plate of oxtail and curry goat with peas and rice with cabbage....and an order of plantains. The service was incredible, and the food and portion were impeccable!!!! This place and atmosphere were top tier and I would recommend it to any and everybody!!!!!

My family & I have had Gud Vybz several times and the quality & taste of the food is always amazing. Portion sizes are generous and the staff is very friendly & welcoming. The atmosphere is always good, always good music playing. Highly recommend.

For the first time ever I don’t have a have a perfect review. I ordered pickup and only one of my dishes were ready. I paid for extra gravy on my oxtails but didn’t get it. I’ll be back but the experience wasn’t like previous ones when everything was absolutely great.

Been here a few times and everytime I enter, workers are pleasant and welcoming. Even the customers here are nice, which tells you a lot about the environment here! I usually get the oxtail or curry goat plate and they are always flavorful, freshly made. I havent made it home yet without taking a bite or finishing my food in my car. Overall, this is the best Carribean spot in Pensacola. One thing I do wish they had was jamaican patties with the coco bread.
