Amazing place, awesome food, and awesome staff

Staff is great! Super service and tasty hot food! Fresh food. Anything on the menu is good to eat.

I had the Tuesday special which was the shrimp tacos… That was one of the BEST tacos I’ve EVER had ♥️ definitely a 10 out of 10!

Love this place. I wish it was open for dinner at least one night on weekends because we work fulltime and never get to eat here since they're open the times we are at work. Super awsome food!

Very nice little restaurant. My wife's lizard man burger was a little overcooked and the fried munchie basket was a little dark (old oil? Over cooked?) but it really was all delicious at a great price. I got the shrimp and grits and it was fantastic. Great experience and we'll happily come back.

The food is great. I have had the deep fried sting beans, fresh salad ( their blue cheese dressing is the bomb) the wings are crispy, not gummy at all, and the teriyaki and Cajun sauce on the wings is the best. The Ruben sandwich is delicious. My husband loves the chilli hot dogs and the burgers. Service is friendly and very attentive. The decor is entertaining. Great place, you must visit and most importantly order the fries.. incredible!

In visiting family from out of town and they brought me here. Service food and atmosphere were all amazing. Price was fantastic I left full and happy. Can't wait to stop back in next time.

I've eaten here with family a few times and it's always been the same. The food is great, the service is top notch, and even when it's busy it never feels overcrowded. They take the time to make every visit personal and great.

We weren’t sure about the place as we drove up, but as soon as you walk in the door you feel the comfort and friendly atmosphere! Staff were so helpful and the food was really delicious! Maybe you’ll see the lizard man! They told us we had missed him as he was around earlier that morning! Go!

We stopped in for a very late lunch and were the only customers. My husband loved their fries. Service was a little slow as they were gearing up for Friday night. Memorabilia on the walls was eclectic and fun.

I had half of a pimento cheese BLT with homemade house chips. I requested blue cheese dressing to dip the house chips in and the best homemade dressing came out. My husband had a Philly McMillon and fresh cut fries. Everything was so delicious. Will definitely be back.

Had to stop here on the way to hunt for the lizard man! Honestly wasn’t expecting much and was going for really just because it was supposed to be a lizard man themed-ish place and was surprised at how much we like the food. For what it is (burgers and such) it was great! The burger was excellent and so was the service. Had the lizard man burger and a hot dog with some beers and fries. Our server directed us to where we could buy lizard man shirts down the road. We tried to find him at the swamp but no luck, this time: LONG LIVE LIZARD MAN!

We came across this place while on a road trip and decided to stop in for lunch. We're so glad we did! We originally thought the good rating probably had more to do the with the Lizard Man theme, but we were pleasantly surprised that both the food and the service were great as well! The Lizard man burger, Stallion hoagie, chips, fries, and fries green beans were all delicious! The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Definitely worth stopping in for a bite!

I ordered an pickup order. The phone order was great and when I arrived to pick up my order, I didn't have to wait long at all. When I arrived at home the food was still hot and it was excellent. I got the shrimp and grits and I haven't had it in a long time but their shrimp and grits is wonderful. Great customer service all the way around!!

Litteral definition of a hidden gem. Quick, friendly service with an Excellent burger, homemade chips were on point, and the rustic decor was very cool. Will be my go to spot anytime I'm working in the area now on. Clara took good care of me, even with the revolving door or people coming in and with a large amount of call in orders.

Because I arrived during prime lunch hour all "staff" was on board! I have never seen such hustle in a restaurant in my life. In any case every employee was making sure each client had a seat and was waited on I chose to sit on the porch this beautiful day. Besides, all inside seats were filled ( Good for Harry!) The "disgwasher lady" sat me, (please excuse my forgetting your name), got my drink and sat beside me making recommendations. Being the Southerner I am, I thought a small appetizer would be nice to hold me. So, she gladly prepared a small pimento cheese with celery sticks, not on the menu in that fashion, but was more than happy to serve me. What a delight! Everyone on the porch talked as though we were old friends, learning as much as was polite, about one another. Wait or not I had an enjoyable lunch with my ne acquaintances~ The food was most delicious! My meal consisted of homemade chicken salad, Mrs B's recipie, stuffed on a croissant with fresh cantelope and pineapple on the side. French fries also came with my lunch order. I have been dieting, but it was worth every pound!

We were on our way home from vacation and didn't want fast food. So I found us this like cabin in the woods. The food was amazing. TBH it was the best food we have had our whole trip. Their famous lizardman burger was outstanding. And my kids loved the wings. They also loved the fried green beans and they gate greens beans normally. And they have homemade fries and chips to die for. Plus the special sauce was the cherry on top. The service was was great and all the employees were super sweet to us. The food was super fast as well. I definitely suggest stopping by. I know if we come back this way we will definitely stop there again.

We drive from Hartsville every week for the great food, service and atmosphere. Shrimp and grits are my favorite.

Stopped in because we were nearby looking at Scape Ore Swamp. Proceeded to have one of the best burgers ever. Pimento cheese is awesome and you never see it on a burger! Not a negative for most people but for those who have sensitive noses like I do: you will walk out smelling like grease. Again, not a complaint, just awareness.

Nice, quick, satisfying late lunch last week. Plentiful menu offerings and bottled, especially American, beer, ale,... Staff was incredibly sweet, prompt, attentive, and omnipresent. Itsa local hangout!

Indoor, outdoor dining in a quirky smallish interior dining room and outside covered porch. Most tables were 6 or 8 tops and filling with dinner hour service to many local families - allways/all ways a very good sign. Service was prompt, sweet, very kind, and attentive. All sampled menu items were well prepared, served with appropriate condiments, and at proper temperatures. They offerings were basic Americana Faire with an excellent offering of Hoagies. Our BLT was on great bread and elevated with red onion and aioli. Canned and bottled beer was available from a mostly American beer list.

Food and service was great. Prices are good for what you get. Place was very busy but Caleigh our server did a great job. I ordered the Lizardman burger and it was very good.

Finally had the chance to come for lunch. Been wanting to eat here since last year when they were closed from staff shortages due to Covid. Worth the wait! We loved everything, from the fried greenbeans, and the best pasta salad ever, to the wonderful servers.

The wings were pretty food. The burger was delicious. I got the lizard man burger. I did not however like the pimento cheese. It tastes like shredded cheese out of the bag with a few pimentos thrown in it. My server was a very nice young gal who was all around pleasant to deal with. I would recommend the burgers but avoid the pimento cheese.

True hole in the wall in Bishopville. Great place to visit if hitting up Lee State Park. Mrs B chicken salad was a hit. Good indoor and patio seating available and great decor.

This is a great place to stop for a bit to eat and a cold drink. They've got a wide selection of things to eat from wings to wraps to sammiches to burgers and more. Today I had the special which was a 1/4lb ground chuck burger with pimento cheese and a fried green tomato on a toasted brioche bun. It was delicious. The service is quick and friendly as well. Don't let the lizard man scare ya off...stop in and check this place out!

What a unique restaurant in the middle of nowhere with a great tale of a lizard man.. As for the food it was amazing And the customer service was great as well, considering we were there during one of the most busiest times. Keep up the good work don't change anything!!

I had a chicken sub which was great! My wife had the French dip. Staff was friendly and the cooking staff was rocking the kitchen. Super fast. The hand cut frys were good too. They also have a wall of lizard man!

Driving to Myrtle Beach from Chicago for a baseball tournament. Googled "restaurants" between I-20 and I-95 and the sign is what first grabbed my attention. Location (kind of in the middle of nowhere) had me skeptical for a second, but the reviews were great and we love trying and supporting small, local businesses whenever we travel. We made it in right before what I assume was the dinner rush because 10 minutes after we sat more and more people just kept walking in. Legend of the Lizard Man newspaper articles were interesting to read and the rest of the rustic decor was a little bit of everything! No rhyme or reason which I personally love. Makes it all the more interesting to look around while waiting for food. Service was fast and friendly. My hubby and kids each really enjoyed their sandwiches, which is rare. They each had a bite of the others. Between the 4 of us we had the Philly Cheese Steak, Buffalo Chicken, Frito Pie and Mamas Chicken Salad. Nothing fancy. Simple, laid back, friendly service. I got a "good find" from the fam when we walked back to the car. 🙌
