The treats are okay, custard is smooth & creamy. I had a hot fudge sundae topped with whipped cream and a huge juicy cherry 🍒, My son had a small cookie dough blizzard/artic swirl/whatever. What bothers me is the atmosphere inside. It's like you're inside a cold, hard, sterile operating room. Good for cleaning, I'm sure but not very comfortable.

PB milkshake was great. The small size was plenty. Seems popular with kids and adults alike.

I would not have thought that there would’ve been a difference between Meadows locations. However, we have been visiting a few different locations lately, and unfortunately, this one does not rate as high as the others. The custard did not feel nearly as creamy, in fact it seemed quite milky. I’m wondering if we just didn’t catch them on an off day or do the recipes differ from location to location?

Love the frozen custard, but EVERY time I ask for extra butterscotch on my sundae, they don't add it. I even offer to pay extra.

The only thing to be said is that the ice cream is just good and even the small cone is gigantic.

Ice cream was very good Generous serving. Toppings were somewhat different than traditional. We had it instead of lunch. LOL.

Custard is literally better icecream

First impression is of a bright and clean interior. Counter staff were welcoming, and my order taken and filled quickly. I had a chocolate shake, and I have no regrets. I can always buy a bigger size pair of pants.

Great place. Owner has young kids working there’d I think that’s a plus for the kids to learn some life skills and lessons. Service has always been great

I ordered a cake for my sons birthday party. When I arrived there was a mixup, I received a cake which turned out not to be the cake we ordered. The manager I spoke with was super friendly and offered resolution. Things happen, the kids still had fun and enjoyed the “mystery” cake. Side note, my 3 pups LOVE the ol’ roy doggie sandwiches. Tail wagging item for sure. Great idea!!

Meadows is great. We watch the calendar to see when they are offering our favorite flavors.

My colleagues and I saw this place & and stopped, and boy, were we glad we did. I got Raspberry float that was delicious, and they had a sugar-free low-fat option that was delicious, and strawberry cheescake was great. If ever in the area we will stop again!

Great soft serve custard - we ordered the Peanut Butter Explosion (vanilla and peanut butter soft serve with Reese's pieces and Reese's cup chunks). We got a kiddie size and it was huge!

Blair County special. The meadows frozen custard has some of the best tasting custard you'll ever have, they have a wide menu of various frozen treats to choose from. If you've never been here, I highly recommend giving this place a try!

Great ice cream, very fast service.

This is my favorite Meadows of all they are fast. They are very courteous. I’ve never run into a problem with them ever… they make their ice cream the way it’s supposed to be made. I have tried others and they are awful. I don’t think they follow the same recipe. They decide to make up their own recipe, but New Alexandria is the best and that’s the only one I know go to, and I have since they opened up!!!

Had the flavor of the day (key lime), and it was very good. Everything else we had was also really good. A must stop.

Just YUM. All the flavors taste better than regular ice cream! My favorite is Blueberry Cheesecake, followed closely by Butter Pecan. Also, try a turtle - you won't regret it!

We love stopping at the Meadows for a nice treat. I like the brownie sundae. Always good.

I loooooove their frozen custard. The consistency is like silk. And the Italian ice is delicious. Mix the two together and you have the perfect treat for a hot summer day.

Mmmmm. So good here. Their treats are so very good and everything you would expect in an ice cream place. Always friendly service and very fair pricing. Different special flavors everyday.

Passing threw late Sunday night. It had just started pouring rain. loved the drive threw. Menus are posted away from order window so you can actually pick what you want b4 pulling up. Ordered 5 items no pictures because everything was delicious. Will be back!

Pretty good wish there was more of a selection but worth it

Okay, full disclosure - I love custard, I just do. I find it thicker, creamier, and tastier than plain old ice cream or even soft serve. So this review is looking at this from that angle and through that lens... Now, that being said, this is some darn good custard - as creamy as it should be and as thick as it aught to be - no complaints. After waiting about three years after this place opened, I've now had the pleasure of partaking from what they offer twice in the last week - it has been soo good. The first time I had their banana custard with Nestle Crunch pieces Swirl and the second time I had their Cotton Candy Artic Swirl (a summertime special). Both were delicious, and those cotton candy pieces in the vanilla custard was supremely delicious. On the second trip, my wife enjoyed their hot fudge sundae with chocolate custard - it was piled high with marshmallow topping, thickened with chocolate sauce, and a big ol'Cherry to top it all off - no complaint from her. Service is friendly as it is fast - on this holiday Sunday (Juneteenth) the place was packed inside and out and we were in-line, made our order, paid, and had our custard in less than 5-7 mins. Frankly, it was amazing to me how quickly they moved customers through. All this and with two orders that came out looking none to rushed. I was impressed. I will definitely be enjoying this place when I return for the 4th of July holiday...

While I didn't die eating the Death By Chocolate Parfait, it was still absolutely delicious.

Overall this place is fine. It's nice to stop at after a day of kayaking at Loyalhannah Creek. But overall the custard didn't wow me. Very subtle flavor, ok texture, and the portions are way, way too large. This is not doing me a favor. It makes me unhappy. The law of diminishing returns applies. By the end of a small cup, instead of feeling happy and satisfied, I was tired of eating it and regretted my decision to come and that I'd have to do extra cardio the next day to burn off the likely 600 calories I'd just consumed. Sure, I could have thrown 2/3rds of it away, but then I feel bad for wasting food. I'd much rather have a single scoop of some higher quality, richly flavored ice cream like Jenni's or Millie's.

Staff had great attitudes. This was my first time at any Meadows location! Cashier explained that "dirty" turtle sundae was made with chocolate v. Vanilla ice cream. I ordered it "dirty" for the chocolate ice cream. Ooops they made it with vanilla. I guess I will never have a "dirty" turtle sundae. Just not meant to be.
