Possibly the best diner in the area. The food is amazing and the staff and owner are always as kind as can be. We come back here often

Food was good. Very laid back atmosphere. The wait staff were so very nice and accommodating. It was my grandson's 5th birthday and one of the staff members who had a phenomenal voice sang happy birthday amd the entire restaurant joined in. What a great experience for him. This place is absolutely delicious. Has been a staple and around Grover. Very local and great food. Can get very busy so be prepared to wait but their breakfast is amazing. I am normally a savory person but every time I love getting there lemon crepes. Overall a great restaurant and recommend

If more stars were available, I'd give those too. You won't find another cafe/bakery like Harvest. They have the friendliest staff, and will treat you like family whether you're there for your first time, or you're a regular. Scott, Christine, and Rye, will welcome you with an open heart and make sure your food is given to you with the highest quality care. I like to cook at home, but something about Harvest's potato salad, home fries, sandwiches and Benedicts, are extremely addicting. Anything you try from the breakfast and lunch menu, or bakery, will make you feel like your taste buds were sent on a permanent vacation to heaven, leaving your belly happy and satisfied.

Always fun coming here. Staff is friendly and helpful. They are attentive to our needs. I try to go here once a week.

This was our first time trying Harvest Cafe. It was pretty good. Great cup of coffee and the staff was very friendly. Kind of on the pricey side for breakfast. My wife had a French toast that was actually a pound cake. It was okay, but way too sweet. I had the jambalaya omelette and it was amazing. When they ask what kind of toast you want, go with the sourdough… trust me. We took a loaf home with us.

Can't say enough about Harvest Cafe. The people are so sweet. Prompt superior service, delicious food and cozy atmosphere. We are regulars here!!

A great breakfast and lunch spot, with amazing, pastries, and breads. We had breakfast and chatted for a bit and once we were done, I purchased Irish soda bread, and some delicious scones to take home. You will never be disappointed here

Yes, believe the hype! Always heard great things about this establishment and wasn’t disappointed when I went to meet up with a friend. The ambience is like a cafe in a city, but it’s located in a small plaza in Simsbury. Food was excellent and they didn’t rush us to leave. Very generous about refilling coffee. Definitely going to go again and again.

The wait is forever but apparently the locals go here routinely. The eggs Benedict was okay. It didn’t have enough Hollandaise. They were pretty slow refilling coffee. Not worth the wait.

Went for lunch today (1/27/24) Great food!! Must check out all the delicious bakery items for sale on your way in lots to choose from!! Breakfast was good portions very filling!! Highly Recommend the Eggs Benedict, my wife enjoyed her “Make Your Own Omelet” and I had the “All American Breakfast” again Great food, Excellent Service!! Absolutely amazing! Super great breakfast, and they even have "shredded potatoes" (i.e. hashbrowns, back where I'm originally from). The food was great, and my wife and I had a great conversation with the owner on our way out. She was super nice and the baked goods looked fantastic. (We didn't get any sweets, but I'm likely going to be going back and getting some in the future... especially the take-and-bake style cookies.)

Best corned beef hash I've ever had. Best savory strata I've ever had. One of the best pieces of quiche Lorraine and Belgian waffles I've ever had. We live in the Midwest and we might have to make a special trip to try this place again. Down to earth vibe, great service.

Such a pleasant discovery! Harvest Cafe and Bakery has an extensive menu with many wonderful choices. Due to the post Thanksgiving weekend we had a bit of a wait for a table, and then our food. However, it was most definitely worth the wait 😋

The regular menu is full of excellent comfort foods. The specials are amazing, and often have an interesting culinary twist. I have enjoyed everything I have eaten at Harvest. The staff, especially Scott, is friendly, efficient, and enthusiastic. Ever since we moved out of CT, we make it a point to stop at Harvest at least once per visit!

My family and I were looking for a local breakfast spot when we found Harvest Cafe. I’m so glad we found them! The atmosphere is cozy and a total locals must-go spot. The quiche was amazing and the desserts were so rich and tasty! We will definitely be back to grab the macaroons soon!

There is not enough words to describe this little gem. This is hands down one of the best places I have ever eaten. Everything I have tried here is delicious. This is a great spot for a wonderful breakfast. I am never, ever disappointed when I eat here.

The farmers Benedict was one of the best breakfast dishes I’ve had in a while! Loved getting to try this local place on my vacation.

Came for the quiche and was not disappointed. The coffee was good too, and the service was cheerful and prompt. The quiche was just as delicious as all the other reviews said, probably the best I've ever had at a restaurant!

This place is an institution around here and a must visit. The food is first class, the staff are engaging and always make you feel welcome.

A Disappointing Dawn at the Harvest Cafe As a regular diner who cherishes the joy of a heartening breakfast, I am inclined to share my recent encounter at the Harvest Cafe. Being a local favorite known for its fresh fare and charming ambiance, my wife and I decided to visit for our morning meal, but we left feeling let down and disregarded. Upon arrival, the cafe was buzzing with energy, brimming with patrons eagerly waiting for their meals. The atmosphere was vibrant, a perfect setting for a leisurely breakfast. However, the day's experience was far from perfect. Having found a cozy corner, we settled in, expecting an enjoyable start to our day. Our first hurdle came in the form of a delay in order placement. Despite several patrons who arrived after us receiving instant service, we found ourselves feeling invisible, waiting for someone to take our order. This was not a promising start, but we remained patient, attributing it to the rush hour. After finally managing to place our order, we assumed the service hiccups were over. Little did we know, the food would take another 20 minutes to arrive. We watched, with growing frustration and empty stomachs, as tables around us, who had arrived later, received their meals. The food, when it finally arrived, was overshadowed by the sour experience we had already endured. The delay in service and lack of attention had tarnished our impression of what was supposed to be a pleasant brunch. The final straw, though, was the interaction with the manager. Hoping to express our disappointment and receive an apology or explanation, I approached the manager. Instead of a receptive ear and an understanding attitude, we were met with apathy. Rather than addressing our concerns, the manager didn't even have the courtesy to look at us and dismissively responded with a mere "OK" when I said we wouldn't be waiting any longer. This callous disregard for a genuine customer complaint was a slap in the face and an absolute letdown. I am well aware that a single customer's dissatisfaction might not affect the bustling business of Harvest Cafe, and the manager's dismissive behavior indicated just that. However, this review isn't just about affecting the restaurant's business. It's about shedding light on an unfortunate experience and the lack of basic customer service etiquette. In the hospitality industry, the customer's experience is paramount. While the food is a key aspect, the service and attitude of the staff can make or break the dining experience. In our case, the dismissive response from the manager and the poor service turned our much-anticipated breakfast into an ordeal. Every customer deserves to be heard and respected, especially when they have a legitimate concern. The Harvest Cafe failed to live up to this fundamental expectation. The manager's dismissive attitude and lack of accountability left a bitter taste in our mouths, one that even their delicious food couldn't erase. In conclusion, while the Harvest Cafe may be a local favorite for its fresh and hearty meals, our recent experience was a stark reminder that good food alone cannot compensate for poor service and disregard for customer satisfaction. We left the cafe with not a bite to eat, but also the sting of their indifference. It's a dining experience we'd rather forget but felt necessary to share.

The food was delicious! I had the 1/2 chicken salad sandwich on fresh whole wheat. The chicken was peppery which complimented the halved grapes for a heavenly sandwich. My dining partner had the pork belly Benedict with home fries. Nice to taste delightfully seasoned potatoes for a change from the standard blah potatoes being served in other restaurants. The pork belly was perfectly cooked as everything else on the plate. We did not go home hungry as the portion sizes were very generous. My only complaint was how cold it was in the restaurant, other than that the staff was attentive and friendly. Highly recommend trying this place out.

This is my favorite breakfast place of all time. I miss it so much. I am visiting CT soon and getting to finally go back to Harvest Cafe is something I am most looking forward to. The daily specials are always interesting and delicious. Grab a cupcake to go you will not regret it.

Awesome but service was slower than normal

We went today for Father's Day, reserved a table for 8 which was needed since there was over an hour wait if we didn't. The food took and extraordinary amount of time to come out. All the food served was nearly ice cold. We informed The service that we didn't want to eat ice cold food and they said sorry and left without moving the food for 30 minutes, we ended up eating cold food. We were told the manager would be informed and talk to us, he never came. The bill came and all the prices on the bill were higher than what was on the menu without any explanation why. The food may be good on some days, but this experience was awful.

Best breakfast place in CT Northwest! We had cinnamon French toast , vegetable omelet and sweet potato hash ( my favorite) Great family owned and service!

So, the service is always great. Scott, the owner, gets right in there with everything to coffee to making sure you are happy. The Western Benedict with cornbread...treat yourself! Luscious hollandaise. Grab a quiche on the way out! 30 year customer. This place always pleases!

My 2nd time here and I’ll definitely always return! The staff are so nice and very welcoming. I like my eggs a certain way and I told Scott to make sure the yoke is broken and cooked all the way through and they got it right the first time! I always have to send my eggs back but they were cooked perfectly. The bakery items they have are also delicious!

Just an awesome overall breakfast. Easily the best in Simsbury. This place will be as good as you'll find anywhere else. So good!

I have driven passed this place hundreds of times. After skipping breakfast, I gave it a shot. Well worth the visit and I now know what the hype is about. You’re not coming here for a Photo Booth wall, fancy tables, and bad food.. you are coming here for the friendly faces, fast service and GREAT food. It felt like I was at a friends house, and although the service was fast I did not feel rushed. Additionally, prices were set well. Bonus points for plenty of gluten free options.

This is our favorite place to get breakfast in the area since we moved to CT. It’s a small, family atmosphere with local art for sale on the walls. It’s best to get there earlier in the morning if you don’t want to wait. Ever since I tried the farmer’s Benedict, I’ve been hooked! The baked goods are amazing as well. You won’t be disappointed!

Small and very busy spot. Took seats at the counter to be seated sooner. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food we ordered was delicious. Did take a long time for our order to come out. I would visit again if in the area.

We were back after a long time and it’s as good as we remember! There is a wait- but you can sit in your car or go shopping and they will call you. The menu is as fabulous as it used to be. :) Muffins are delicious and still toasted up on the griddle with butter - definitely try one! Soooo good!! :)) The banana French toast is decadent and a huge portion! The quiche is delicious! The grilled cheese carefully and lovingly made! :) Plenty of breads, cookies and bakery treats to carry home. :) Definitely check out the snow globe cakes. :) The service is excellent- everyone is so kind, warm and efficient- rare combination. The restaurant is hard to access in a wheelchair or with a stroller but if you can call ahead - they will prepare for you and accommodate you- that kind of caring and service. P.S: they have a table reserved for birthday breakfasts and take reservations for large parties.

A favorite place for breakfast when I'm in Simsbury. Everything is delicious, cooked to order. The staff couldn't be friendlier or more attentive.

Harvest Cafe is wonderful, and their catering is outstanding! They prepared boxed lunches for my daughter's large wedding party on her wedding day, and everything was perfect. Everything was delivered to our hotel, and each meal was labeled with the person's name, with potato chips and chocolate chip cookies packaged separately. There were a few gluten-free orders, and Harvest Cafe provided some gluten-free cookies, as well! They were delicious, and were much appreciated! The owner, Kim, is a delight to work with, and I couldn't have asked for an easier and more delicious way to feed our guests. Harvest Cafe has always been our favorite breakfast place, but now I know that their catering is spot-on, as well. I highly recommend!

As always the best breakfast place in the Farmington Valley. A bit pricey but bottomless coffee, excellent baked goods, friendly very laid back atmosphere and friendly, on the ball wait staff. Owner is present all the time, so any questions, he's right there. Pours coffee too!

Coming from the south, I was a slightly hesitant about ordering the biscuits and gravy. Let me tell you, it was delicious! It was not the traditional southern style I am used too. The buttery biscuit was topped with finely chopped sausage and a light gravy with a sprinkle of scallions. The service was very friendly with as many refills as we could desire. Thank you Harvest Cafe for a wonderful breakfast.

I drive from Collinsville to here just to eat breakfast. One of my favorite breakfast places in the state.

My friend was dying to try this place. So we went for a girls lunch. What a disappointment it was. The staff was friendly but almost non existent. I ordered the turkey dinner wrap with home fries. The wrap was ok. Nothing I wouldn't write home to mom about. But the home fries were the biggest let down. They were cold and cover in paprika I couldn't even eat them. It was a cute place but could have been better all around.

That heaven banana bread stuffed french toast was delicious! My SO and I enjoyed that breakfast really well and the service was great. Thanks!

Delicious food, inventive menu and wonderfully friendly staff

Blueberry pancakes were excellent...however, the syrup was not real maple syrup. Ice tea was good. Service was pretty good as well.

The wait was worth it food was delicious. Tried a special cannoli strawberry Belgium Waffle was a perfect combination not real sweet as I might have thought. Pancakes where good. Friendly wait staff and good with coffee refills. Differently call ahead or get there early

The food was fantastic. What really impressed me was the performance of the staff. It was a large crowd for Father’s Day. Scott, the GM, was on top of everything. I watched him give direction to the staff with clarity and calmness during an obviously stressful situation. The staff was responsive to all the patrons needs. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience and a great meal.

Always amazing. I had Creme Brule french toast with fresh strawberries & fresh whip cream. Scott is funny & gracious always, making sure to greet each customer & go out of his way to wish you a healthy good bye, requesting you come again soon. Small town feel in Simsbury. Can be a bit pricey but the food is always great & portions are more sufficient. I get the same thing every time, crapes are amazing.

We had the lemon berry crepes / blitzes, breakfast quesdailla, and the daily omelet special. We asked for a substitution on the quesdailla and there were no issues. The staff were lovely, the food AMAZING, and the prices were decent. About $50 for 3 people with coffee and a side of bacon. This is going to become a regular stop for us whenever we are in town. Portions were hefty but we cleaned all of out plates!! If you haven't been here, you are missing out! I had been craving blitzes for years since leaving Miami and now I have found my new place! ❤

Food wad great. They were busy, that's okay. Staff kinda frazzled. Made things hectic. And people double up on stuff, sort of chaotic. But again, food was fantastic.
