Every time I go to Quest (in the same area) to do blood work after fasting, my next stop is here to have an expresó with a flattened toasted bread! Although I enjoy other plates of food, this is my octane after giving up some blood! lol…

Accidentally selected the double zero button when tipping which made over 10 dollars tip on a 20 bucks order. Cashier said he could do nothing about it, not return the money or provide products instead. Also not possible to call the manager. Mixed veggies they provide in the plate … I can get better ones at Costco and prepare myself at home. It will at least have some flavor. Not coming back to this place.

Ordered a Cuban sandwich with NO shoestring potatoes, and GOT them anyway. Bread was NOT pressed or warmed at all. This place has been going downhill for quite some time. Been patronizing them for years. We will NOT be back.

You guys should update your website to reflect the correct restaurant name, and a working number would be a great idea!

This place the service is horrible, they promote one thing but yet do another.eg; breakfast on Sundays serve until 1:00pm my family and I arrive to eat and they made the decision at 12:00pm to not serve breakfast after waiting for 15mins. Stated the “cook” didn’t want to make breakfast this is third time that I attempt to eat and the service is just horrible either the cook doesn’t want to make what’s on the menu or it isn’t made fresh as it has been sitting under warmer the tostones in my last visit where as hard as a Rock. I don’t believe will be returning to this establishment it seems the customer combine service isn’t practice at all is very sad. Joining with Morenas bar was not a good idea very confusing they don’t know what’s going on with the menu they are they cut off the menu at an inconvenience time of 12 in the afternoon when people get out of church at 12:15 1220 how convenient is that for the client or for the customer when they’re used to go into the restaurant for breakfast or lunch now you get to this new restaurant Morena‘s bar and they don’t know what’s going on on the menu unable to explain anything they can offer you what they say on the sign on your window herber cuban. so it’s all false advertisement. Have lost us a customer for sure along with family and friends.

The customer service at this place is on the decline in the morning the cashier was very disrespectful, and as if he didn't care what I was asking him, I ordered him two takeout meals and he only took out one, not even with the companions that I asked for When I asked him, he told me to my face that he had only ordered one, then I asked him if he could charge me for the other one and he made a very strange face, the food was very good but the customer service is very poor in this place, they should to hire other types of employees or at least give them adequate training, in the end we consumers pay for a service and if that service is as poor as it was with that person, I prefer to go somewhere else where they can offer it better.

Order 2 cubans, one of them a meal w French fries. The cuban sandwiches DID NOT have pernil ( pork] it was a piece of ham, soo, it's not a cuban sandwich. PLUS, it had potato sticks, which do not belong in a Cuban. On top of that it was lukewarm to cool. The fries overfried, or re fried, almost burned. I wanted a good cuban sandwich soo bad, this wasn't it. Heber cafe listen to the reviews, and work on your menu.

Breakfast is great here and good prices too will love it more if breakfast was all day don't have hurry before 11 to get it 😀

Whoever hired that male cashier need to train him properly on how to do a better job! His services are horrible! First of all he looks like he doesn’t want to do the job. It was my birthday and we place 3 orders and this man only brought out 2 of our orders. He didn’t even apologize for not bringing out the 3rd one. Such careless behavior is an indications that he shouldn’t be working at this place! Then I went and asked if he get my other order and he said no without an apology. This will be last time we come here! This place could do so much better with caring and attentive people!

Very high price for the menu, very salty food, fried bananas from a bag and cold half heated in the microwave, salad without dressing (a little lettuce with a slice of tomato), rice and beans, the truth is that personally I don't I return to that restaurant and I do not recommend it.

Nothing how it used to be. Cashier didn’t want to be bothered. What he was telling me didn’t match the menu. He was extremely rude and dismissive. This used to be my fav spot im so sad I didn’t even get to order my food I said I’d be right back and he waved in my face. I came back in to order and he acted like he didn’t see me so I left.

I'm giving this 2 stars because I've been here once before and had a much better experience. Atmosphere: Wonderful. Seems like a good place to bring your family if you don't want to be surrounded by dozens of people and loud music. The place has an old-timey feel to it while not coming off as ancient. I wish I could give more than 5 stars for how this place feels and looks. Service: People are relaxed and courteous. No one seemed unpleasant, but no one told my group how things work at the restaurant. It looks like a sit-and-wait kind of place, but you're supposed to order from the counter and then sit down. After my party sat down, I waited a couple minutes to give someone the chance to tell them before I did. The Food... I ordered a Phillysteak 12" Sandwich and a Pina Colada. I regret everything. The lettuce on the sandwich was crisp and fresh looking, the tomatoes were firm but not too firm. The seasoning was on-point... BUT- The steak was tough and had some bits that simply couldn't be chewed successfully. One of my party members had the same steak and the provided knife could barely cut it. She had to grab parts like a caveman and rip them off with her teeth. I had to pull steak bits out of my sandwich and do the same. The sandwich is served on a plate that's just barely wide enough to hold it, so some of the sandwich fell on the table just from me turning the plate. The Pina Colada was just pure suffering from start to finish. It's served with an inch or 2 of foam, a squeeze of redi whip canned whip cream, and few candied cherries on top. It's room temperature, and upon drinking some I wanted to reverse time. I told my party "I swear to god, this is the concentrated mix poured into a cup." My mom ordered it, too. We both spooned the foam and whipped topping out and combined our 2 cups into 1 cup that didn't spill a drop. I took it home and added 44oz of ice to it, and I can confirm, 100%, this is the concentrated mix poured in a cup. I made a full liter of pina colada slush with it, and the flavor is still pretty strong but infinitely more tolerable than when I bought it.

I waited twenty minutes and paid nineteen dollars for them to serve me spoiled chicken, cold vegetables, and they forgot to give me the onions that come on top of the chicken and I am not a picky eater at all. This is the first bad food review I have ever done on the internet. This place was bad across the board.

We were so disappointed when we ate at Hebers about a week ago. After we ordered a large pizza, plus all our other food, we sat down and the cashier came to us and said they were out of large pizzas but he offered us 2 small ones instead. Didn't make financial sense because we would have lost $3 and received less food. I ordered a 6-inch vegetarian cuban sandwich (which was really only 4 inches) and specified that the vegetarian "meat" be breaded, plus a side salad. The bread was as hard as a rock (and took over 25 minutes for us to receive our food) and there was nothing but a couple tiny pieces of lettuce and a very thin, flat piece of "something" that resembled bologna sandwich meat. I am used to having the breaded "meat" which has always been thick and tasty, plus grilled onions, potato sticks and tons of lettuce on soft Cuban bread.. The side "salad" was nothing but lettuce with a piece of dried-up lime on it. Nothing else! AND, it was expensive. Had to ask several times for cups for our sodas, there were no napkins out, plastic ware was out, plus when we moved the basket of ketchup, a big roach scurried out. We used to be regular customers but we won't be going back.

I was hoping for a great Cuban sandwich and was totally disappointed! It was the worst Cuban sandwich I have ever had!! Very little meat and I’m sorry, but potato sticks do not belong on a Cuban sandwich! More of those than traditional meats and cheese. I will never go there again!

I love Cuban food. I went in and waited for several minutes and no one would wait on me. I went next door to Subway and got great service and a great sandwich.

The place is nice and the service is great, but I guess it’s possibly their culture the food needed more flavor. I was able to eat a bit of what I ordered, but it’s because they put a lot of cooked white unions at the top, which helped to give it flavor.

No pork, no alcohol. Got the wahoo fish, tasty but very dry. Guy working the counter was VERY nice, but would not have come here had I known, and would not return, was looking for authentic Cuban. Also not cheap, $21 for fish dinner with rice and beans. Would also avoid the virgin Pina Colada, very artificial flavors

Customer service is a joke. Walked in and approached the counter, was not greeted but was ready to order. After being noticed, a man walked in, butted in front of us “because he was picking up” when I stated that doesn’t mean you go first, there was a line, staff still continued to take care of the man. The staff directed the next person to assist me & in the middle of ordering, she picked up the phone and takes a Togo order, without so much as a “one minutes please”. After ordering beverages with my food, I had to go back to ask someone else for the cups because they were never given. While waiting with for my food, she continued to stare while in my own quiet conversation at my booth. When receiving my food, we both got black beans which was never asked of me. The chicken was extremely chewy & the onions were extremely salty. Also ordered a salad with my food which came out with no dressing, nor do they offer any. Definitely gone down hill since the last few times me & my family came. Won’t be coming back, better service & quality food at La Granja, D’Lilly Cuban Cafe, or Lechonera Latina.

The only thing that I don’t like was that the snapper was fishy.The garlic shrimp was very good.

It's a nice place and the service was ok. It took so long to get my food and when I got it I was so disappointed. The beans and rice had zero flavor or seasoning. My tostones were over cooked. I couldn't even cut through them bc they were so hard. And the vegan steak was so rubbery I couldn't chew it and eat it. Huge waste of money. But the tres leches cake was good.

Used to be amazing. But the churrasco didn’t even taste like churrasco. Terrible color, terrible texture and tastes even worse. The maduros were burnt and the fries tasted old. Last time we go there.

My wife LOVES this place. Owner is SDA so no pork or alcohol products. My wife loves the food, and I used to enjoy it as well. My problem has been with the decreasing quality of service. The last 6 times i requested the "complimentary" salad i received it ZERO times. Today, with only two other customers in the restaurant, I sat for 30 minutes for a to-go order. Is it because I'm noticeably NOT hispanic? Poor service received is too frequent now. Staff that were there a year+ ago were always friendly to me but are all gone. I'll continue to pick up food for my wife, but if I want to eat Cuban I'll purchase my food from Zaza's.

Herbers Cafe where you call to make a pick up order and they ask you to hold and hang up on you twice in a row. No problem, my money is well spent somewhere nearby where it's not a bother to you!

I bought a Cuban sandwich here. I ordered a turkey sandwich to-go. As I started eating it, it tasted funny so upon opening it I realized ALL of the turkey was molded with fuzz all over it! There is NO WAY they didn't know the meat was bad, I was the only customer in there! I've contacted the health department. This place needs to be shut down!

Very disappointed with the FOOD: The grilled chicken was too dry and SALTY; the fried plantains were greasy with no flavor. The Yucca was over boiled. --Bland Food WITH JUST SALT!!!!!!! SERVICE: I ordered a side salad; they did not add the salad to my order. When I got home I called about it and the Rep stated that the "salad is a little decoration they put on the plate for carry outs"; I asked him what does that have to do with what I asked for. He stated that if I wanted side salad it will cost me $4.25--Told him that was what I asked for.....Clearly, a communication issue. i would not recommend this place to anyone of my friends nor family. NOT IMPRESSED

i come here at least once a week for the amazing mariquitas and the smoothies, i love the customer service and the heart warming server in the front named helen she is definitely a sweetheart and welcomes you, the food is absolutely amazing i am cuban my self and i love the taste of cuban food and they sure know how to make it 10/10 recommend.

Chicken was dry, server was incredibly rude to us. They got our order wrong, and when we politely asked for them to change, and provided the receipt for proof, the server gave us attitude, rolled his eyes before finally changing it out for us. The food was also overpriced and extremely underwhelming. The whole time we ate the server was watching us and giving us dirty looks. Would definitely avoid this place at all costs, there are much better options for Cuban food in the area.

A perfectly humble Cuban restaurant tucked away in this plaza. Practically hidden. You can almost miss it next to subnay. Do yourself a favor and "Skip subnay" and go here. The Cuban is massive. I have plenty of leftovers and it was the best cuban I've had in a very long time. Had to get cheesecake too. They've got a full menu including a kid's menu. The restaurant is extraordinarily clean and well-themed and smells amazing. Will be returning regularly.

Front cashier gave me cold food when I ask for warm beans she forgot than proceeded to be rude and speak in a derogatory manner in Spanish of which I understood to the other employees, the lack of customer service and professionalism has made me decide after yrs of my family and friends coming here we will not return.

MORENA LATIN PLACE IN APOPKA, FL Do not come to this place if you are hungry and planned on getting “drunk” because you will be extremely DISAPPOINTED. Our drinks didnt came until after an hour and we didnt even get served with water until one of our friends asked for it. The food was served COLD. And our server needs A LOT OF TRAINING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE because not only he could speak fluent english but he tried to go around his mistake by blaming the me and the manager or the hosts didnt even do anything about the situation despite knowing the problem. WE WILL DEFINITELY NOT GO BACK TO THIS PLACE! NOT WORTH EVERY PENNY. Go somewhere else.

This place on the beginning was very good one of me andy family favorites, but after a couple times I ate here recently, the food is ok not as good as it was before, the service is the worst, yesterday we walked in at 4:39pm, and the cashier asked, are you dine in or take out? I said dine in, her response : were closed we are not taking customers for dinning in only take out, we close at 5. I looked at my clock and was 4:40 so why she asked us then? Then I told her ok we can do to go and she said : let me see if the grills are still on!! I was like really? It's 20 minutes before 5 if you stated your hours till 5 why you have to denied service to any customer who walks thru the door 20 minutes before, I can see 5minutes but 20? By the way the door is dirty nobody cleans that door. Finally she said oh yes is on and she took our order 🤦‍♀️. We saw another couple on the door walking in and they left because they saw the hours and that was at 4:45, We never coming back to this place if you don't want take more customers lock the door then or change your hours, on the top of it is dirty and the service is 0 stars hope the owner reads this.

So I’m very disappointed with this place. I went and ordered dinner. Breaded chicken. I was told because I didn’t dine in I could not have a proper side of lettuce! I mean come on lettuce? They gave me basically a bowl of tomatoes with 3 pieces of lettuce and when I asked for more I was told they are cutting back because of prices. I get the economy is in shambles right now but LETTUCE?! you can’t be serious. Welp I been going here for about 4 years now and guaranteed I’ll never be back. They won’t last long with these poor excuses.

The food wasn’t as tasty as I was expecting. The rice was a bit bland, the tostones could’ve used some seasoning and the chicken and Salmon were ok. The empanadas and papa rellenas did make up for the rest of the lackluster meal. The service could use some improvement.

Out of town visiting and was in the mood for Cuban food. The service was fast. However we were very disappointed with the food. The meat had taste, but the bread was very soggy and it did not taste fresh. Waste of money in my opinion.

Not very happy with this place anymore. I tried to come in at 8:25 and they locked the doors and pretended to be closed. When they close at 9. I come here at least once a week.

Great food. Great service now also have morenas across the street for a more elegant and relaxing setting.

Great Cuban food and reasonable prices

This is a weekly staple in our home. My only beef with this place... Management/Ownership leaves a "Tip Jar" out on the counter, or your prompted to leave a gratuity when paying by credit/debit card, but the employees do NOT receive the tips. I'm pretty sure the FL Wage & Labor Board would find that inappropriate or illegal. And we don't like the "new" Tostones. The old ones were much better.

Went for the Cuban sandwich and was disappointed all meats served are turkey based. I have gotten better Cuban Sandwiches East Colonial, Miami , LA Carreta, Calle Ocho, Puerto Rico 🇵🇷, and New York City. The only thing worth drinking is the coffee, then again if you love turkey come. I like authentic food. No substitute. God bless.

Pedimos sandwich y platillos con huevo y tostones,muy resecos como que no eran nuevos y tardaron mucho en traer la orden y eso que casi no había gente. El pan del sándwich todo se desmoronaba y el relleno muy escaso,los precios son altos para porciones muy pequeñas.

I only got the cheese and spinach empanadas but they were the empanadas I've ever had. I'd go back for them again anyday and any other non-meat items they may have.

I used to come to this restaurant all the time 9 years ago when I lived in Altamonte Springs. I came back to the area and wanted to eat here again. I'm glad the place is still running and expanded!. The food tasted great as always. I was just a little disappointed with the portion of the side dishes. I ordered tostones and I got 3 small ones. My side of yuca frita was also really small. My friend ordered maduros, and he got 4 tiny pieces that were burned to a crisp. That's my only complaint. The rest of the food was great. I remembered they used to give you bigger portions on the side. Maybe they can take this feedback and make some changes.

This was my first and last time ordering from them. The ropa vieja was so dry and salty. I have never had a ropa vieja that was dry it’s suppose to be a stew. The empanada shell was to thick, nothing like the empanadas you get in Miami. Very disappointed because I was looking forward to some good Cuban food and this was not it.

I'm a little disappointed as I was looking forward to eating here as there's not too many Spanish restaurants around. I had the croquette and I have to say it taste like pure flour served with ceasar salad dressing. My hubby ordered onion rings and as a side sauce they serve you ceasar salad dressing as well. The Cuban sandwich is not a real Cuban because it's served with deli cold cuts and not the real deal like pernil and whole ham. Soup, salad and rice was good.

Soup is amazing! And so are the smoothies… but that’s it.

One of the meals was cold. Tostones overturned.

Remarkable place to eat Cuban food. They have a sizable menu, good prices and friendly staff. The line moves pretty fast so. I recommend it for lunch and if you don't feel like cooking dinner head over there and get some delicious take out.

Mi familia y yo ,paramos en Hebers Cuban Cafe.Ordenamos croquetas,medianoche,ropa vieja yPina coladas.El medianoche estaba seco y sobrecargado de pepinillos.Lamentablemente,le causo diarreas ,a mi Hijo.La ropa vieja estaba seca y los tostones fueron recalentados. LAS croquetas estaban regular. Piña Colada estaban buenas,sin alcohol ,pero no impresionante. Lamentablemente no volveremos a este lugar. Si reclaman ser un cafe Latino,todos sabemos que al latino le gusta la comida fresca.
