Found this place in Sanford! It is a delightful lunch place on a Saturday afternoon. The food is very delicious and just a fun atmosphere!!!

Soups and salads are perfect. Nice NA beer selection. Try the Erdinger or Bittburger. We also had dessert. Shhh. Don't tell on me.

Very friendly. Made our anniversary special.

What more can be said about this absolute gem then Amazing!! It’s easily the one of the best restaurants in the Orlando area and a staple in Sanford. Bring friends and enjoy the atmosphere! Prost!

I've been here a handful of times in my travels, and it's always been a delight. I highly recommend the Jäger Schnitzel, but everything here is just so good!

I love the food and atmosphere. The live music using traditional instruments like the accordion had everyone participating whether clapping along or dancing. The food was outstanding. You can't go wrong with the schnitzel. We had a chicken schnitzel with ham and cheese that was almost the size of the plate. I had the Sauerbraten and the beef was so tender there was no need for a knife. We got a piece of cake to go since we were so full and that too was almost as big as a large to go box. The cake was much lighter than I thought it would be and not overly sweet like many cakes. I would highly recommend.

Went here for a friend’s birthday and the experience was good overall. Parking was a couple blocks down from the restaurant. Service was very helpful and friendly. There are gluten free options for drinks and food. The menu was confusing and laid out like a newspaper. The waitress was very nice with questions. Food was good and good portions.

This is a must TRY. When ever I'm in the area I will always stop and grab a bite. You might experience long lines but the FOOD is worth it!

We have been coming here for 8 years, bragging, bringing business associates, and relatives. Last visit was mediocre, this one was beyond horrible. When we had to wait at least 45 minutes to get your drink, And then another 25 to get your appetizer! Our child meal came 15 minutes after the adults after we had to ask the waitress! Sauerbraten and veal schnitzel were very dry. We were so disappointed after coming here so many years. I think our daughter said it well , “if this was your first time coming, what would you think and would you come back?”.

Speaking with a friend today, reminded me the experience. They made us feel unwelcomed and felt sadly to say, racist with us. We went there back in April on our motorcycle because my husband wanted to really try this place so we took a ride. We are bar people, we hang out and eat at the bar in every establishment we go to. There were 2 bartenders that Sunday, after 20 minutes sitting there, neither one never asked or offered anything. Not even a greeting. But surprise!! Another couple (white) get to the bar next to us and both bartenders run to attend them still not saying anything to us. They noticed us when we got up to leave but by then it was too late and we didnt want to try anything there. Great experience for our first time there.

The only place I know where you can get authentic German food and ambiance!! My oma loves it here!!

This is my go-to German restaurant! The atmosphere, the food and of course Beer. This is a great place to spend time with either a large group of friends or the family !

One of the best German restaurants in the country! There is nothing bad in the menu. I probably had everything on it, at this point. The schnitzel is fantastic, when paired with red cabbage and potato salad. The atmosphere is second to none! A great time to be had by all!! Family friendly when inside or out on the patio. Service is ALWAYS on point! Highly recommend this cornerstone on Downtown Sanford.

We came to Hollerbach’s for dinner and we had a great experience. We ordered a couple rounds of beer along with food, and everything was delicious. The flavors were quite authentic and the portions satisfying. The staff were very friendly and diligent. The ambiance was animated with live music and entertainment.

Our server Coral was fantastic. She is on the ball the whole time. The food is top notch as usual.

Be prepared: This place is about loud (at least on Saturday) eating and drinking, not a romantic date night! The food was amazing, and the service excellent.

I've yet to visit Hollerbach's when it's not busy - I don't think it's possible. The food is as authentic as I remember it and the ambiance is great. If you've never visited this place please do yourself a favor - you will not regret it.

While Hollerbach’s may not be the best German food you’ve ever had, it’s certainly the best in Central Florida. It’s a large and somewhat echo-y space with sparse decor. It can feel more like you are dining in a VFW hall than a modern restaurant. The food is generally very good and has all of the German staples you might want. Only big miss for me was the apple strudel - some of the worst I’ve ever had. Service was friendly and good with refills as needed. It does scratch the itch when you are craving German food even though it is a far drive from Orlando proper.

If you are looking for German food with a German atmosphere, this is the place. This place is usually busy, mostly crowded and sometimes packed with a waiting line. Today it was just busy and we got a table right away. Our waitress came to the table quickly and got our drink orders. The drinks came quickly. We ordered a Chicken Schnitzel Sandwich, a pork Schnitzel Sandwich, The Reubenstein and 2 of The Famous Willow Tree Chicken Salad Croissants. All came out prepared, cooked and presented nicely. All were tasty and were good portions. After the meal we ordered a Coconut Raspberry Cake as a birthday treat and they included a candle. The bill did not suggest any tip so you calculate a tip however you want. (Which is how it should be done). There was entertainment this afternoon as well, a small German duo (Gemütlichkeit mit Nick und Eckhard) singing typical German festive songs and of course ending with Zicke Zacke Hoi Hoi Hoi.

Y'all - I LOVE German food and this place did not disappoint. My family and I ate here when we were vacationing in Florida and we loved it. The staff were super friendly, the food was great (even my 10-year-old daughter kept raving about it), and the atmosphere was so fun. It's a bit pricey, but not unusual for German fare.

After hearing rave reviews for years we finally made the journey out to Sanford to try Hollerbachs and I honestly don't get the hype. The food was fine, the service was OK, but the atmosphere was a sensory overload hell scape. The live band playing through a blown out sound system that sounds like it is from the 1970s REALLY killed any positive vibes we had going. Maybe we just had a bad experience but I can't imagine volunteering to go back to this restaurant that makes Chuck E Cheese sound like a library.

This was better than I expected. I wasn't sure if I liked German food. I really enjoyed what we ordered. Ruben, schnitzel with the sour cream gravy and red cabbage. I actually really liked the red cabbage. Was really surprised.

I really enjoyed Hollerbach’s!! I was meeting up with some friends who had all lived in Germany at some point, and this restaurant transported me back! Their live music was fantastic and the atmosphere was fun and welcoming. As is tradition, we partook in Das Boot, standing up and taking turns drinking from a large, glass stein shaped like a boot until it was empty. The food was just like it was in Germany, everything tastes great!

Eat there often, always love it. Went there at a slow time, sat at bar area. Went for anniversary. Red head bartender totally ignored us as well as others for over 15 minutes. Went to bar and they said oh you want a menu? Here. Sat with menu for another 15 minutes and left. Sad experience.

Such great food! My first time trying a German meal and I didn’t know flavors could be combined in such a rich way. The food was delicious. Customer service was great. Price is good. Clean and well kept also.

Great food. The red potato salad is delicious. Service was sub par. I only got one refill and definitely needed another. I had to find my waiter and ask after trying to get his attention several times. He walked right passed us over a dozen times and didn't ask us if the food was good, etc. Got my order wrong as well. I ordered potato pancakes and the egg noodles (I forget the German name for them) and when I got my order it didn't have either. I received the red potato salad which ended up being a delicious mistake. And a cucumber salad. When I did finally get a chance to ask the waiter for a refill he made a comment walking away saying "wow I have such a difficult table". Idk if that was towards me asking for a refill or what. Either way, you would think he would've checked in on us at least ONCE.

Absolutely awesome experience! The wait staff was Absolutely incredible and very accommodating with the little ones in our party, the music was fantastic, but the food was alright, it's good if you don't really like salt but the snitzel was suuuuper bland, the meat was high quality and it was perfectly cooked, there was just no seasoning

What an incredible spot! Food, drinks, vibes, and staff all come together to create a beautiful gem of a restaurant and bar. Jager schnitzel is ridiculously good, added some brats on the side that were delicious, especially the mettwurst. We've been twice this week! The first time the wife and I came in and sat at the bar with Nick who made a amazing cocktail made with Jager Cold Brew and garnished chocolate shavings. The second visit we brought some friends and family and met Randi and the (ridiculously good looking) manager Hunter who took excellent care of us. Not to mention the live music that was the cherry on top of one of the best restaurant experiences we've ever had. Thank you so much, we're telling everyone, and we'll be back!

Arrived around 1230pm on a Saturday and seemed like we just missed the rush. Hollerbach was the busiest place downtown and for good reason. Food and beer were excellent. Service was awesome. Food came fast. We sat outside on a hot day but the fans and shade kept us cool.we plan to make it a regular occurrence whenever we pass Sanford.

A fun experience. We enjoy sitting in the bar area where it is a little less loud but you can still take part in the atmosphere. The chicken schnitzel is amazing. I love it with the rahm. The salad and spatzle are great side options. I do miss the dumplings though. The beer selection is fun. I like the Oktoberfest the most. I would give this place a try if you are looking for an entertaining dinner in Sanford.

It’s awesome seeing full tables try to chug DAS BOOT and the servers are really great about keeping the vibe fun while making sure no one goes overboard. We loved the communal seating and everything we tried on the menu, including the KING’S FEAST!

My favorite German food restaurant in the area. Live music provided was an extra benefit. Roof beer garden open on weekends. Well behaved pets allowed on the outdoor patio. Great service and atmosphere. Wiener Schnitzel is my favorite.

Came here for the Germany soccer games on June 25 and again on Saturday the 29th. Sat at the bar side both times. On Tuesday I sat down and was not acknowledged for several minutes by multiple bartenders. The young lady who eventually waited on me was TERRIFIC! Came back Saturday and waited close to ten minutes for a beer. No one even acknowledged my presence. One bartender told me he’d be right with me after he filled an order. He filled it then walked away. A customer sitting next was also complaining about the service. These guys working on the bar side are not on the same page. I love coming here but the service at the bar side is atrocious. This place has the beer, the food, the atmosphere, but my experiences on the bar side has NOT been good. Go Germany!

Mason was my server and he was so attentive to my friends and I. He was also patient and took the time to explain different ingredients in the dishes and drinks. Chef Oliver was also amazing!

We dined on the 2nd floor near the rooftop seating. The ambiance makes you feel like you are in Germany. Mason was an exceptional bartender. He was warm, helpful, and knew the menu inside and out. Chef Oliver was so warm. He came out and greeted us, and brought the dishes to us. Hollerbach’s is always a special experience and this was again, another 10/10 experience!

We sat in the newer addition. It’s quieter and easier to hear. The music side is very fun (usually sit there). I love the German food but decided on the salmon this trip which was excellent. We eat here at least once every time we visit the area and the food is always great.

If you like German food and are anywhere near to the Sanford area, stop by here for lunch or dinner. Absolutely and without doubt - the best German food and beer outside of Munich. You can thank me later. My awesome son and daughter in law took Mr here for Father's Day and we had a great time.

Father's Day was a real treat for me. Haven't had authentic German food since I left there in 1978. Bitburger.Pils was an enjoyable find. Will definitely be there again. PS: See if you can souce Binding Romer Pils!!
