My sister and I stopped in to Roni’s today for the first time. From the time we walked through the door we received the most incredible customer service ever from Richard. He was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and accommodating. The food came out hot, fresh, seasoned and cooked to perfection. (Shout out to Mr. Fred the cook) Thank you Richard for making sure our first experience was the best, we appreciate you! We’ll definitely be back.

Richard was my waiter and he was extremely efficient and courteous. Fast service. And most importantly the food was amazing

Mannnnn I don’t know where to begin with this place so much good stuff to say. Let me start with Rich and Zy you guys were AMAZING 🤩 from the time we walked in until we left. Yall this pls e was packed and people kept coming the food is cooked fresh, so we didn’t mind waiting!!!! Me and my husband ordered the grit bowl meat lovers, and fish and grits and toast a waffle banana pudding and pound cake!!! Everything was great!!!! We wanted to say this is it here!!! Definitely will be back

My husband and I wanted to try something new so decided to try this small family owned restaurant. Richard gave us wonderful fast and friendly service. The food was hot and very good.I had the chicken philly (seasoned perfectly), and my husband had the big breakfast. They had on soul music that was the perfect volume (not too loud). We will definitely be visiting again.

Lili was the best!!! Her recommendation for the French toast was spot on and absolutely delicious!!!! My date had also truly enjoyed the salmon patties breakfast and sang their praises (enough to make sure I didn’t forget them in this review 😂)! Please check them out!!!

We jumped off the plane and headed straight here based on reviews. Roni’s did not disappoint!!! Everything was great, from the waffles to the swai, and my favorite- the shrimp and cheese grits with bacon and sausage. We had excellent service from Richard, he was so warm and welcoming. The whole staff was very friendly and it just felt like I was with family. We will go back here each time we fly into and out of Orlando moving forward, it’s that amazing!!

Ron’s serves goooood down home food! It is always hot and delicious. The pork chops, the fish awesome! Richard is the cashier and also a server! He is friendly, knows the menu, represents the restaurant well, and is so efficient. Always a great experience!!!! Roni’s will not disappoint!

Great southern, homemade recipes and food. Restaurant is very familiar and comforting. It’s my go to spot when I’m in the area during the morning. Just work on those orders being correct before sending food out, and that will send the place over the top!

A great little restaurant. We stopped on the way to Sanford Airport. This little gem is out of the way but well worth the stop. Mario the day time manager told us it was a family owned and ran restaurant. We even met the 80+ year old grandmother who came out and talked with us while we were dining. Not fancy, but the food was great, served very hot, all made to order. We will certainly come back to this great family owned and operated Bistro.

Roni's is an obligatory stop anytime we are in the area. It is a down home plain restaurant with amazing soul food! The people are very nice!

Every part of my experience here was fantastic. I've never felt more welcome in a business, and Miss Betty was a big part of that. She was so sweet, and made me feel like I was eating at my momma's table again. The atmosphere is cozy and homie, and the food was absolutely delicious. I've yet to find a breakfast place in Sanford that beats this at any price point, and Roni's is as affordable as they come. I will absolutely be coming back, and I'll be bringing friends. *EDIT*: Have come here three times since my first visit and have brought a few friends with me. We've been served by a young gentleman named Richard a few times and he's an absolute delight. Can't wait to come back again and keep contributing to this hidden gem.

My family and I stopped here for breakfast before hopping on the Auto Train that leaves out of Sanford. This restaurant is not even 5 minutes from the station. From the moment we stepped in, everyone in the establishment was warm and friendly. The food was DELICIOUS, and our server, Richard, was super attentive and accommodating. We got lucky and happened to be there while another gentleman was packing up fresh banana pudding. He offered us a sample, and it was so delicious that we had to order two for the road. We also bought some chicken wings for our 18 hour journey that we happily enjoyed for dinner (the other passengers looked jealous 😏). The cook even came out to say hello to us and we had the opportunity to chat with a gentleman named Mario who shared a little about the history of the town. Overall a great experience not only for the amazing food, but for the warm hospitality. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED STOPPING BY HERE!!! Hello from your friends from New York :)

My wife and I were looking for a quick bite to eat for breakfast while visiting Sanford, and she found Roni's. It's a cool little place that is packed full of flavor! Everyone was extremely hospitable, especially Grandma and some of her grandkids! The fish (tilapia), cheese grits, hash, brioche toast, and even the LeBron James were tasty! We're definitely coming back for more!!!

Very dissappointed how my friend and I were treated at Roni’s. It was our first time there. We waited 45 min for just 2 breakfasts to come out ! Ridiculous. I told a woman to have a good day , and she simply gave me a dirty look. My dog just died and I really didn’t need to be treated so poorly. Neither one of us will be going back.

My family stopped by Roni's on our way to the Orlando Sanford airport last week based on the quality of reviews we read and we couldn't be happier with our decision! Great food (chicken wings were the best I've ever had) and drink (try the iced tea and/or lemonade). Richard was an amazing server, made us feel very welcomed and was quite attentive. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a great spot to eat in the area.

Very pleasant experience. The waiter was very nice and sweet. Our order was out in no time. I had pancakes, salmon Crockett and grits with raisin and cinnamon toast and a Obama sweet tea. There aren’t enough great things I can say about Roni’s! Everyone is amazingly sweet. Pudding atmosphere, positive vibes. Everyone walks in the door and speaks. It’s family here! We ordered the fish and grits, Bokey’s Big breakfast and pancakes. Total came out to about $50 Fish is delicious!! Tender, flaky and well seasoned! Grits were cheesy and fluffy. Pancakes are fluffy and moist with crispy edges. I’m smitten! 🤩 Betty is such a sweetheart! As sweet as their sweet tea ☺️ I’ve come with family and will make sure to bring ALL my friends and family here. Please stop in and tell them I sent you!

This is a hidden gem in downtown Sanford. Absolutely adorable and gives you that small town feel. Betty was our server and is super sweet and very attentive. The food was hot and fresh with a lot of selection. Definitely will be returning and recommending.

Server Maje did an amazing job as he was extremely attentive and he made sure our order was fresh and hot by the time I got there as I was coming from out of town !! This is definitely my go to every time I stop in town … I usually get the breaded wings with a honey drizzle but this time I got the pork chop sandwich with fries and it was amazing as always.

An amazing restaurant in Sanford, the staff is always kind & the food is the best in the county! Their chicken & waffles had a nice buttery waffle dusted with powdered sugar with some of the crispiest, juiciest and mouth watering chicken wings I've ever had!!

The corned beef hash was perfect. Crispy on the outside and savory and delicious on the inside. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and the coffee kept coming! Will be back to try the pancakes because they looked outstanding!

This is THE place to go for Breakfast in Sanford! Delicious Southern Comfort food that serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner! Q and the whole staff make me feel so at home. The cheese grits are my personal favorite, as well as the lemon pepper wings, but honestly everything is good! Great prices, better food! Must visit Roni’s if you want the true Sanford / Goldsboro experience!

Always a great experience. My dad passed away in 2021 and Roni's was one of his favorite places to eat. So, I keep the tradition alive by eating there on his birthday.

Ordered delivery through Uber Eats, so I can't rate service or atmosphere. Shrimp & Grits *highly* recommended, you won't be disappointed! French toast breakfast sandwich with sausage patty also delicious, served with syrup for dipping. Wife had 3 meat breakfast plate, which is a great value for the amount of meat you get these days, and was awesome! Jelly was included for our biscuits without asking, can't remember the last time a restaurant did that! All in all, we're very happy to have discovered this gem, will definitely be back! Support local businesses like these, serving up quality and flavors you won't find at the big chains!

Ate it too fast to get a photo but the Shrimp and Chicken salad was OFF THE CHAIN!! Hats off to the chef👨🏿‍🍳Server needs to learn menu items to better assist with customizing orders cause I got a chicken Philly instead of a Philly cheesesteak which lacked the flavor filled greasy taste that makes your taste buds explode with pleasure but it was good nonetheless and she was sweet. But maybe you guys could look into the seasoning chicken Philly a little more. Overall great food and service 👍

We had a few hours to kill before a flight out of Sanford Int'l Airport, and we were looking for a decent, low key place to eat. My sister found Roni's on Google, and the solid 4.7 rating gave us enough confidence to make the trip. Turns out 4.7 is not *nearly* enough. That day we were a group of 4 native New Yorkers, now scattered in the Bronx, Las Vegas, and Asheville NC, and we are all serious eaters who get around. We each ordered different dishes and sides, and not a single one was disappointing. Some paraphrased quotes: "This is the best fried chicken I've EVER had. So juicy, and the batter is light and not greasy." -- From my sister, who's a real foodie and knows her stuff. "This is the best shrimp and grits I've ever had." -- From someone who's had a LOT of shrimp & grits and loves them. "The waffles are so light and fluffy! Everything is perfect." -- My picky aunt As for me, I ate a double order of powdered french toast with maple syrup, then snatched one of my aunt's waffles. Hot coffee kept coming. We definitely could have eaten more, if we had enough time. Finally, a note on the service. Miss Betty was our kind and lovely waitress, and she is an absolute treasure. She certainly made these 4 white folks feel like part of the family. Everyone we met in the building was warm and friendly. If we're ever in Sanford again, we'll be back. If you're there now and looking for low key homestyle cooking served with a smile, you'll find it at Roni's.

I have eaten at this restaurant many times since moving to the Sanford area. The food and service are both consistently great. I’ve had the shrimp, bacon and grits, salmon patties, chicken and waffles, fish and wings. Everything I’ve tried so far has been amazing which is why I continue to come back. The house drinks are all great too! It’s rare that you find great food at affordable prices. This place is a gem!
