This used to be the place. Now overpriced and small servings. Go to Jolly cow in kingston, much cheaper and more ice cream

Best ice-cream I've had, amazing flavours, pistachio is great and highly recommended, butterscotch is subtle and not too sweet, bring cash as it's cash only but they're so cheap!

Over many years, this has been a summer staple. Rich soft serve ice cream, friendly service, affordable, and plenty of space to enjoy outside. Only downside is that it's cash only.

My family and I have been going to holy cow about 7yrs. We love it there, the people who work there are always friendly. The service is fast, and whatever you get its amazing.

The best ice cream, and quick service with a smile! What's not to love about this place, with wonderful outside seating that accommodates a crowd easily! Just wish the maple syrup capital of the world (NY) sold Maple Soft Serve (Creamies) somewhere! Vermont sells it all over the place. Can you help, Holy Cow?

Local made Ice Cream, just delicious and not expensive at all. They have tables out side where you can enjoy your ice cream and also they sell ice cream cakes.👌😋

Always consistent, fairly priced, and friendly. I’m a huge fan of the cookie crunchies (the ones from the ice cream cakes!) on a cone instead of sprinkles, but their frozen bananas are so simply delicious I tend to get one of those too. My family has been coming here since long before I was born, I get to bring my son now, and I hope my descendants continue to come loooooong after I’m gone.

Hard ice cream is very very good. Wouldn't get the soft serve for the artificial flavoring. They only take cash.

I was visiting some friends in upstate NY in Rhinebeck and I heard about this ice cream spot. There was a huge line out the door so I was curious what all the fuss was about. It's a small ice cream shop with a good selection of flavors and toppings. It was so inexpensive!! Like almost unbelievable!! And the ice cream was soo good and fresh!! It was a great experience and the staff was super friendly!

While the Dutchess County Fair had lines for desserts this past week, Holy Cow still had a line out the door for their ice cream. I think that clearly shows the quality and service they offer. Thanks Holy Cow for staying open during Fair week. Much appreciated.

Even with unparalleled modern living conditions, it is still impossible to feel as grand as the 17th century emperor Shah Jahan. However, Holy Cow offers a glimpse into such an extraordinary life. Even on a salary equivalent to the manual laborer sweating profusely while laying the foundation of the Taj Mahal, I was able to purchase a thick chocolate shake, a cone with vanilla soft serve ice cream and chocolate sprinkles, and a small cup of chocolate soft serve ice cream with rainbow sprinkles for under $10, a price so unheard of I could've sworn I was dreaming. I might not be able to provide my significant other the treatment awarded to Mumtaz Mahal, but this experience was pretty close. For once I was able to dig deep into my jean pocket and not be embarrassed by the lack of cash I was carrying (and do be sure to bring cash - this place has a strong no plastic rectangle policy)! Who needs the authentic Taj Mahal when all of us are capable of constructing one in our minds?

Ok soft serve. I couldn't see the hard ice cream. I like to see the flavors before I pick what I want. Got a shake. It was ok. I like Daisy Queen better. Thicker.

One of the best ice cream places around. They also do specialized orders for birthdays or whatever you choose and different sizes. They also stock the ice cream cakes in the store as well. Very clean and well kept. The staff had always been nice and professional.

Very popular ice cream spot if you're in Red Hook area. Portions are still above average (though not as enormous as they used to be) and prices are well below average. Always has several people in line ahead of you regardless of time of day, but also have a lot of people working so the wait is never too bad. Plenty of picnic tables out front to sit and enjoy before heading back to the car. Cash only.
