Just had lunch here for the first time. Great experience with friendly staff and good food. I'll definitely come back here again.

Okay, I love this place. I create my own sandwich when I go, and they have other awesome options too on menu. I know they've added gluten-free options as well! You can dine in or take out! Love, love, love this place. A must try in Eagle River!

What a great find. We are traveling in Alaska from Michigan. The employees are super nice, great service and pleasant atmosphere. A perfect stop for a quick lunch. We had a Rueben sandwich and a house salad. It hit the spot for sure. There were people standing in line to order. It is obvious that this place is popular with the locals. The food came out quick. Yum for sure.

I really can't pick one thing I like most about Tinkers and her wonderful ladies! Since I was introduced about 5 years ago it has quickly become my most favorite spot to go, much a wonderful environment, whether you go for a coffee and a sandwich or a smoothie and a bowl of soup, they have nothing but positive energy and happiness for everyone who stops in! not only that they are super gracious when people request food/soup ideas even if it's a challenge they make it happen! LOVE LOVE LOVE TINKERS!

Fun little cafe with a friendly owner. Both the breakfast burritos and mochas we got were fresh and with a fully homemade flavor and mix of ingredients. Lots of local, cute trinkets for sale. Overall lovely place to hang out and have a good coffee or meal. We'll be back!

This was a great place for our small group of friends to enjoy lunch and time to chat. The food was good and had gluten-free options, which was a plus. The atmosphere was a pleasant rainforest motif and quiet. You order at the counter, but food is delivered to your table. Not overly large portions, but just enough not to be wasteful.

Always my 1st recommendation to anyone looking for great atmosphere and even better food!

I'll never know how good the food is, because they were closed. Protip, when you guys are thinking about what an inconvenience it is to update your hours on Google, etc. consider also the inconvenience your customers experience when they drive 40 minutes to do business with you only to be greeted by a post-it note that says sorry, tough luck.

Quite possibly the best Reuben sandwich in the state of Alaska. If you had to classify this place, I’d say it’s a deli/sandwich shop combined with a breakfast barista stand that makes great sandwiches and a killer cup of coffee. I think it’s the sandwich serenading! Is it the singing to the playlist that really makes the difference?!?! Potato salad is homemade in small batches. Highly recommended. It will sell out !!! These ladies know how to “sling a Sammie “!!! Highly underrated. Highly recommended. Reuben, pickle, potato salad & chips! Perfect !!!

Ohhhhh that tuna melt!! It is just so good! Very relaxed and welcoming feel to the place, and staff are friendly & provide excellent service.

Her salads are way too small and she’s expensive! Chili is very watery! Lexi’s cafe which is on the other side of the highway makes me a massive salad for half the price! Lexi’s soups are better lobster bisque and split pea! Their chili is better! Eat at lexi’s cafe their number one! Tinkers lost my business for good!

One of my favorite sandwich/coffee shops ❤️ my kids love the kid corner with books and I love their coffee sandwiches and decor.

We have lived locally for a few years but wanted to try a new place, and we hit the jackpot! The food is all freshly made when you order it and the staff are all very wonderful. The food was great tasting and there was a friendly atmosphere with some merch to buy and books you can read while you eat. Highly recommend it, and I can't wait to go back.

The Rainforest Deli is a small place packed every good thing you can think of from coffees to teas, and the breakfast menu is phenomenal. Tinker the owner is the most friendly person I've met in the Eagle River area, keep it up....

Absolutely cozy and inviting! Especially if you are a mom with littles they have highchairs, a changing table in the bathroom, and a reading corner full of educational and fun books the ladies im the kitchen are amazing thank you for such an amazing experience 😀

Good vibe, good people, good prices! Local own, extensive menu (both food and drinks), affordable and yummy! This place is hopping! Went on a Friday brunch time and there were diners and take out orders the whole time. Tried their tuna melt and chicken cranberry sandwich, both are great (taste was not out of this world per se, but the ambiance and quality makes it worth coming back for!) I didn't find the Friday-only chili that great given that everyone was really excited for it, not a repeat for me. Coffee selection was vast and intriguing combos that I'd come back to try them all!

Was very delightful. We travel all over to eat food and this was by far the best breakfast I've ever ate in any state we've been to. Definitely will travel back again for this.

We had soup and sandwhiches catered for an event at my work and the food was great. Tinker was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed ready for pickup!

We ate at Timker’s today and WOW food is excellent. I had a delicious breakfast bowl and amazing Chia tea. Husband says Reuben on dark rye is one of the best he has had. Highly recommend!

Amazing service, delicious fresh baked sandwiches. Great gluten free options and everything is fully customizable. Even gave us some hiking leads since we’re out of town. A no brainer for a great value and memorable lunch. Will be back here again this week! Please open a location in Minnesota! I’ll keep you in business over lunch hours.

I called this cafe to check to make sure they were open...they were and also were so friendly. They are a group of the coolest and happiest girls in eagle river! They have gluten free options and the best homemade foods. Breakfast and lunch kick but at this super cool little cafe! My kids LOVE this place. They have a small kid play area...

Just moved to Alaska, and needed some lunch. Coworker recommended Tinkers for sandwiches. Quirky little shop, with fun decor and hodgepodge tables. Can make any sandwich from their list of ingredients or choose a favorite or special. Went with the Club and a cup of tomato basil soup. Super fresh and delicious. Friendly fun staff were super nice, and good cleaning practices in place. Will definitely come here again when I’m in Eagle River

I’ve always loved the sandwiches here. They offer so many combinations on their menu but are happy to take orders for any sandwich you can dream up. This place has been around for a long time and has a solid Eagle River following. Much of that is due to the warm welcome they give every customer. You will not be disappointed!

I was in and out with my order faster than a McDonalds line. Food wad delicious, the ladies behind the counter were very friendly and professional, but not stuffy and curt, even though my order was completed in less than 5 minutes. Nice atmosphere, will have to bring my kiddo with next time we are able to dine in. Definately worth the visit!😊❤

Best breakfast burritos in Eagle River!!

Great spot for a quick sandwich, breakfast, or coffee. There is a rainforest environment with home dinner tables as furniture. The sandwiches are great, and there are PB&J, grilled cheese, and hotdog options for the kids.

It's a very interesting and unique Cafe that serves great food for brunch. The workers there are awesome and super helpful. The only reason I did not give the five stars is because it's a little packed inside but it gives it a homey feeling.

Im from out of town and I asked for the Turkey Special. The croissant was very buttery and the cranberry sauce very tasty. The sandwich was amazing and the staff was incredibly friendly. Don’t leave reviews often but this place deserves it.

If you’re looking for a Northern version of Which Wich, not only is this place ten times better but has a fun and homely vibe. If you’re looking for home-made soups and hand-made sandwiches, this is the place to be. When you walk in, you grab a white slip and circle everything that you want on your sandwich and hand it in at the front. The staff is incredibly friendly including the owner Tinker. They have a great lasagna soup!

Very welcoming and a warm hearted environment. Full of smiles and pleasant conversation. The food is customizable and all of the ingredients taste fresh. Great coffee flavors and I enjoy the personal family touch this place gives.

I just recently discovered this little cafe located in the fire lake plaza. The staff here were very friendly and efficient. I did try the housemade soups, and brownie. I was pleased with them. They were closing when we entered (4pm Friday 12.7.18) so we weren't able to sample their sandwiches (which are numerous in options), but will return to do so. The setting/decor is also cozy. There are some merchandise options available for purchase as well.

There is a positive attitude and energy in this "committed" little restaurant! They have a fun menu and drinks. I had my favorite, breakfast during the day! The only thing I wondered is how do the Iguanas on the floor make it through the long winters!
