Wife and I went there today. All I can say is it’s awesome front to back. People were so friendly, and the food was the best we’ve had in the area.

I think they have some of the best BBQ in the area. I am picky. The pork is pulled, I like mine chopped. You have to request slaw instead of it coming on the sandwich. The meat has good flavor and the sauce is adequate. I do like my sauces a little thicker with more vinegar. The potato salad could use some attention. It's like Yankee potato salad or something just bland. Nice people and staff. Like I said I'm picky on BBQ

Don't be fooled by the exterior. This is a good barbecue spot with warm, friendly service. I got the freshly brewed lemonade along with the 3 Meat Combo with no sides. I chose sliced brisket, ribs, and pork. The brisket was a little plain and tasted more like charcoal. The pork wasn't bad. The ribs were absolutely fantastic; so tender the neat fell right off the bone! For about $30, I also received a healthy portion, so you definitely receive your money's worth. I would recommend the ribs, and try their pies, because those pies (key lime, lemon cream, chocolate brown, and praline pecan) are homemade.

Food is great and the staff is awesome.

We told the lady at the front counter that this was our first time visiting, but unfortunately she was very rude with me and my son, The $18 meat brisket sandwich was dry and tough. Everything else tasted good.

We had a great time at HotSpot! Our server Payton was super friendly and helpful. I did the two meat while my partner did the three meat plate. The BBQ sauce they make is really good. The night we came in they were playing a trivia game on the TV which was fun. Would definitely stop by again!

Literally the best bbq I've ever eaten. The service was great. We got samples of pies i tried the lemon pie thinkingi wouldn'tlike it and it was really amazing it tasted like cheesecake . I got the 3 meat plate, ribs pork and sausage. My husband got the brisket plate. The have the best potato salad ive ever had at a restaurant. Everything was sooo good and even better when dipped in the bbq sauce. I couldn't of picked a better place to eat for my birthday. 10 out of 10 I would definitely recommend!!!!!!

Food came out super fast, great service and amazing sides! We had all the meats and all were amazing. Even had pie too!!! Yum key lime pie. On top of all that gave us a discount for being military.

I placed an online order and my husband picked it up. He couldn't say enough when he returned about how nice the workers were. He sample some desserts and even brought a few cookies home for us as first time customers! We enjoyed the ribs, baked beans, Brunswick stew. The chicken was good but perhaps a bit dry. The order was packed well and correctly, too. Great experience!

Small town feel. We ate here on our way to Mississippi. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. If we come back through Pensacola, we would definitely eat here again!

Best ribs I have ever had. They give you a free cookie your first time. The bartender was the sweetest. She let me try some of their pie on the house too. Top notch barbecue!

Honestly, everyone here is very kind!! We tell everyone we know to stop here when they are in town! Pro tip: Save room for the homemade Key Lime Pie!!

The food is delicious. The sausage is large. The service is friendly and quick, and most food comes out darn near immediately. One of the very best lunch spots in Pensacola.

We tried this place the first time about 5 years ago when here for work. We're back again for work and decided to come back to what we know was so good. It was as good as we remembered and then some. Your staff is friendly and so helpful. We feel so welcomed here. We will be back again, and of course, tell everyone we know it's a much try!! Side note... we travel all over the US for work. The bbq here is some of the best we have ever had!

Great smoked meats and homemade pies but thats where the good news ends. The sides are very bland and pretty limited for a bbq joint. Mac n cheese was bland but creamy. Corn was basic and overdone. I thought maybe the saving grace would be their sauce but I was let down. It tastes alot like italian pasta sauce and ketchup than barbeque sauce.

Looks like a shack but awesome bbq. The meat is smoked with sauce on the side. Their house sauce has a little kick. Burnt ends are the star but all is so very good. It is seasonal so might be gone soon but the pumpkin cream pie was amazing.

The food here is so good! Shared ribs, brisket, pork, and the sausage, they are all real good, but brisket was my favorite!

Everything was great fast,delicious, and the barbecue sauce was some of the best I've ever tasted. The only problem was the amount that was given 2 little plastic condiment containers just isn't enough sauce for a pound of meat.

I had the ribs and brisket, corn and macaroni and cheese. The sides were only so-so, but the meat was on point. The meat didn't need the home-made warm BBQ sauce but it was tangy and delicious. Service was spot on. Parking a little rough. I will be returning.

This BBQ restaurant came recommended for their burnt ends, but the homemade pecan pie was the best! Potatoe salad was also good. Brunswick stew was strong on the tomato flavor.

I ordered the beef brisket with macaroni and cheese, and a side of coleslaw. The beef brisket was incredibly dry almost as if they had just put in the microwave to warm it up. The Macaroni was flavorless, tasted of just noodles. The coleslaw was okay, you could get better slaw from KFC. Their dessert options are limited, but decent. Now my waitress. Excellent service she was very hospitable and probably would’ve fed me if I let her. It is a smaller place, so it’s gonna be pretty loud and rowdy. Not a problem for younger people, but for older couples I’d look somewhere quieter.

Nothing fancy here, so you know they are focused on their craft!! Haven't found anything on the menu I didn't enjoy and they are experts at to-go and catering!!

Best Bar B Q!!! You have to get some burnt ends brisket & the salad as a side is so crispy fresh!!! Tender smoked Chicken and Mac n cheese will not disappoint!!! This is my go to place for BBQ I've tried others but this one is it for me a little pricey but good.

I just grabbed the rib tip lunch special in a rush to catch my flight. Oh Boy!!! Central Texas style rib tips! No sauce required at ALL. Their tater salad was excellent as well. Great service and speedy too. Highly recommended in many categories. I'll make my point as clearly as is possible: if you're looking for real deal BBQ and friendly faces, your destination should now be obvious.

I'd met the owners the previous week, and mentioned I was coming to Pensacola. They said they had a little BBQ place I should check out. Boy, I'm so glad I did!! When I walked in, I was greeted with smiles and a friendly hello. I placed a take out order, and they made sure it was wrapped properly so I could enjoy it 2 states over in Biloxi. Definitely great portions for the price, I was lucky enough to get the last riblet/burnt ends app, and my mouth could not have been more happy. 😀 Don't forget to try the pies as well, you won't tegret a single bite of food from here. I'll definitely be back on my trips to PCola.

The restaurant is true to form, when it comes to southern BBQ. The atmosphere is very laid back, low lighting and a very friendly feeling. The staff and waitresses were very nice and checked in on you regularly. 5 stars on service! BBQ is an art form and every pitmaster has there own flavors and style, so in all fairness, I will not rate the food there. I will continue to find other BBQ places more to my liking.

Classic small town barbeque joint atmosphere. All the colors on the walls felt a little unsettling but the food and staff as well as the adorable prices make this place one of my favorite barbeque spots.

Cozy place, friendly atmosphere! Smoker so close to the entrance starts the salivary & digestive juices flowing, as any good BBQ place should. Kind of an out-of-the-way location but worth seeking out; close to the Bay Center downtown. Recommend parking in the lot next to the building & not on the street if dining in. They do a very brisk carryout business.

We found this place through a fundraiser booklet named Fund Rays Saving booklet sold by our granddaughter for Hellen Carro Elementary school. We attended a meeting downtown Pensacola and this was just around the corner, and since it was going to be late by the time we got home we thought that it would be quick and convenient! They were! I am glad to say that we have found it, we will be returning. The food was delicious as well as the sides that we ordered. We chose the three meat platter and two sides, potato salad, beans and the Brunswick stew for the two of us and it was plenty to eat. The service was excellent as well! We had read the reviews about the lemon cream meringue pie so we bought some for take home. The pie was delicious. And as a first time customer, they gave us some delicious cookies, which was a nice! It was neat seeing the smokers right in the front of the restaurant!

Food was good, but nothing that wowed me, there is better barbecue out there but this is still good. The service was spectacular, I believe our waiter was Brandon and he was great. A few things to know when you go here, any 2 or 3 meat combos is for chicken (sliced breast not whole), ribs (2), pork (shredded scoop) or sausage (6-8” link). If you want brisket it is an additional $6.99, so I skipped the brisket. Although drinks come in bottles it comes with free refills which is very nice. The sides of macaroni and cheese was decent, also the potatoes salad, but again it had no wow factor to it. We loved how the barbecue sauce comes out heated in a bottle with your meal, all their food is dry rubbed but not sauced so you can decide the amount you want. The sauce seemed homemade and it was excellent, very tasty and not thick. The atmosphere is pleasant, kind people working there and they treat everyone great. Outside decorations are great.

Food wasn't the best BBQ I've had....but we always like to try some local spots when traveling. The mac n cheese was delicious and the pies.....YUM! Our server was excellent. The owner came around to check in on us....great PR move.

Great BBQ. The Brisket is wonderful!

The ribs are really good. They’re tender, smoky, and pull easily away from the bone. I bought the half slab for $25. I did not get sides, but they offer many tasty choices. They even included their signature sauce in a cute little bear bottle in the side. If I had one critique, the sauce was not as thick as I like my sauce, but it was the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. I consider myself a bit of a Grill Mistress and I know good ribs. I’ll visit again. Next time, I’ll get sides and let you know what’s up. Until then, good eating to ya! #cherreviews

Visiting from out of state, drove past and immediately knew we were coming here for dinner. We surprised them with take out for 10 people, which they had no problem accommodating on a Wednesday night. Miss ma'am at the front cash was a dream, snacks and samples and good guidance to amounts that would work for us, which was Almost No leftovers! I have never in my life liked a smoke chicken product and theirs was delish. As a long time professional chef myself, I commend this team; seasoning, cook, tenderness all on point. Will return when we're in pensacola again

We had their chicken, pork, brisket, and ribs. The ribs were my favorite and the pork was the favorite for my wife. We tried Mac and cheese, potato salad, beans, and stew for their sides. All were good but the potato salad was my top choice. Awesome workers were very friendly and checked in a good amount of times. Easily the best BBQ I've had. The pecan pie and the pumpkin pie were heavenly. This is a must visit place. We will be back and be bringing others with us.

Great spot for barbecue! The interior is warmly lit and surprisingly roomy. The service was great - friendly, and the wait for food was not long at all. The brisket was nice, and the sides were great. Don't forget a slice of pie, and you get a free cookie if it's your first visit!

The service was great, and the atmosphere was pretty good. The BBQ was okay. Nothing was bad. It was just run-of-the-mill. The dessert was spectacular, though. I would stop by again and maybe tey something else on the menu, but the lemon pie is a keeper.

Hidden gem in Pensacola!! Great BBQ offering all the meats. Three industrial smokers outside that are always workin’! The atmosphere reminds me of a Texas BBQ joint. Free cookies for first timers! The pies are also delicious. Get on the wait list now if you want fresh pies for holiday dinners. Highly recommend!

Really great pork bbq, brunswick stew, and mac & cheese. Update September 2023: the quality of food seems to have declined in the last month or so. I go here every week and count on getting good food fast. The last time I went my chicken sandwich was just hard end pieces. Today my pork sandwich doesn't look so great and has less meat than usual.

Barbecue should not need a sauce to give it moisture! Perhaps it's my fault since I own my own smoker and know quite well how to smoke a brisket, Boston Butt and chicken. The plates we had were full of cold, dry meats. I ordered the brisket. I'm used to it coming to me hot (or at least warm) and moist. This had sat in a dry hotel pan for a while before it was served up. I won't bother with what was wrong with the burnt ends! The same can be said for the pulled pork. Cold and dry. I might be able to forgive the owners for all this if it were a late night meal, but this was 5 pm on a Tuesday, and the place had enough customers to warrant the smoker working while we were there to ensure that the food was hot and properly rested before being served. Sonny's BBQ would have been better, and trust me, they're not the benchmark! The only high not was the service.

This has some of the best BBQ on Escambia County. It is hard to go wrong with any choice. The beef brisket is pricey but worth it. Get the charred pieces too. The baked beans have a delicious flavor and the Mac & Cheese is a delight. The pork and ribs will make you happy too. Very tasty desserts if you have any room leftover. Don't miss this place!! Great management and wait staff as well.
