Neat place to take friends but be prepared to spend money but it's okay once in awhile

The place was awesome, service was good and the waitress were very nice. The food family ate was good but my chicken wings were horrible (looks like they pull them from the fridge straight to the frying pan). I'ts just a constructive criticism!

We've always had a good experience and the food was always good whether we ate in or ordered take out. This time our chicken was cook too long and the wings are really small. And I can't believe they only give you one container (for 20 wings) blue cheese that was very small I requested a second one and they charge me a dollar. I really wish we would have ate in tonight cuz we definitely would have sent all that back. I will definitely pay better attention for takeout next time.

Food was sub-par bar food. Horrible wing sauce, all butter, no sauce. Steak sandwich was flavorless and on a mushy bun. Fries were decent. Clam chowder was completely devoid of clams. Service was great. Food was awful. Not sure how they stay in business with food like this.

A friend of mine Bob, told me about this place. So I visited today. The menu is super. The service is even better. Everyone is friendly and the food is great. I decided to get a redfish salad with balsamic. Good God, it was a great way beyond expectation. If you haven’t been here go there. As they say, just do it. If you said a table ask for Kate, she’s a runner as I am and just a beautiful person.

This is a historic old building, fun to go to for lunch. I just ate a small salad but it was good.

Nice to have food from other countries, and have it be delicious! We’ll be back very soon!

I have visited this spot during the day with several different friends, and I've had great service. I prefer to sit at the bar, and I've only grabbed a few different appetizers, so I can't speak to everything. But I can say I will definitely go back...

One of my absolute favorite places in Punta gorda! The food is great, the bartenders are amazing, and it's a great place if you want to go hang out and shoot darts!!!

Very cool place. Down from KY in vacation. My in laws frequent this place and highly recommended we go. Everyone was very friendly and the food was great.

The bartender who wears a hat that says STUD He definitely has a Stud knowledge of all the beers on tap. Great personality. Keep up the great job.

Are you looking for a good meal with friendly patrons and staff ? Check out this one of a kind English pub in downtown Punta Gorda, Florida. I keep returning weekly for the "chef salad," which has Fresh greens, tomato wedges hard boiled egg, ham, turkey olives and cheese served with your choice of dressing. Their " fish & chips " are very good as well. Their " bangers and mash " are as good as your going to get this side of England. And their New England clam chowder and French onion soups are yummy as well. Oh, if you're interested in a bacon cheeseburger without the bun on a bed of salad( lettuce and tomatoes) , order a " shamble " ! If you're into chicken, try their chicken tenders and chips. You can add "Buffalo sauce with 5 levels of "heat", too !! And there's ALWAYS lots of fresh cold beer on tap. There are at least 36 to choose from ! So what more could you want 🤔 ?!! Try it and judge for yourself !!

Excellent food, but waitstaff can be down right rude at times. 9/8/22 updating with 2 more stars. Service has improved 100% everyone is super nice and helpful. Service is great, and we live Kristen. Glad she waited on us tonight! 6/8/2024 I took our rating down 1 star because prices are going up which is pretty much all across any purchases, but along with prices being higher the servings here have become smaller. I had the steak hoagie which had about half the meat on it that it used to. My wife had the chicken strips which was not significantly smaller, but smaller none the less.

Was around 7:30 for dinner on a Monday, restaurant almost empty and because June I guess considered off season. Maybe not regular chef, food was dry, very dry. Have had better there, so maybe just off season?

We have been coming here for years and the food is consistently amazing. The drink selection is one of the best in town, and the service is excellent. Allison is always our favorite!!! It’s a must when we have visitors in town or a quick midweek lunch. Icehouse Pub does not disappoint!

I love shooting darts and playing pool they have the best of both worlds I believe they have the oldest building in punta Gorda still standing over 100 years old

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was great.

I recently visited the establishment for a second time and was disappointed with the level of service I received. Despite the fact that the restaurant was not particularly busy, it took approximately 20 minutes for a server to approach our table to take our drink order. Furthermore, our food order took an additional 44 minutes to arrive, and when it finally did, it was cold and incomplete. I had requested BBQ sauce, but it took an excessive amount of time for it to be brought to our table. Overall, I found the customer service to be severely lacking, slow,POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL...

Food is always good!! My only issue is that you have to use your phone to see the beer/wine selection. The reason for a pub/restaurant is to join friends/family for quality time. By making you have to see the menu immediately puts everyone at the table on their phone. It’s not hard to print a menu.

Food and service were outstanding. Portions were much smaller than I remembered.

Went for lunch. The food and service were great.

Great fish and chips. Crisp outside batter and moist flaky cod, good steak fries perfect with malted vinegar. Pint of Guinness made it a complete meal.

They are a bunch of scammers web site pricing is different from in house pricing ordered 8oz fish and chips it might have been 4 oz taste the food just sucks I have eaten there before and wasn’t bad but now very very poor so what ever it takes don’t go there

We went for a quick lunch. Our service was great, the food fast and yummy. Our group had fried pickles, grilled chicken strips with fries and and grilled fish & chips. Everything was excellent. We will go there again! Recommended for an excellent fast lunch! The atmosphere makes me feel like I am in Europe somewhere! It great that you can order any entree that is usually fried...grilled! Healthier options.

Hanging with friends, good food, good beer selection, lots of dartboards. What more can you ask for? The manager, maybe he was the owner, was also very attentive. He was chatting us up as well, which was very nice.

Today was the first time we've eaten at IHP. The guys had the wings, and seemed to enjoy them. We ordered the tater tots as an appetizer and they came out with our food, cold, and not loaded. The service was extremely slow! The place was not busy, yet it took anout 45 minutes for our food to finally arrive. We didn't have any alcohol, so I can't speak of that. I had a salad, and it was ok, unremarkable. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend the food, outside of the wings. It would be good for them if they got better, much faster help. The reviews on the beers looked great.

Great place to bring your family. The food was awesome and our server was also awesome, and our bartender Talon was also awesome, got to meet the Manager and he was a very nice sweet guy, love the place, nice place to hangout and chill 👍🏼👍🏼😀

We stopped for a burger and we were very disappointed. We ordered two burgers with chips cooked medium rare. One was cooked properly and the other was well done. Both burgers had no flavor. The server did not check back for 35 minutes. She did take the price of one burger off of our tab.

Really cool spot. Old ice house for the fishing industry converted into a pub. Tons of dart boards in back-of-house and they even provide darts to play with. Great beer selection from all across the world, with good representation of FL breweries, and a very unique/tasty take on a Long Island iced tea. Food was great. Steak sandwich and fish and chips were excellent; very clean and fresh tasting, but nothing exotic. Clientele and staff were all friendly.

I am GF and the waitress said they didn't have a GF menu. That is okay. I did tell her that I was allergic to wheat and ordered a medium rare burger with no bun. She served me a well done burger on a bun. When I reminded her and didn't accept the plate she apologized and brought me the well cooked burger 2 minutes later. I tried but couldn't enjoy it because I think they just took the bun off and returned it. I wound up not eating and nothing else was mentioned. I am disappointed and won't be bringing guests there again. For lots of us being GF is not a choice.

Great place . Parking is not good.

This place never disappoints me. They did is always hot and fresh. The beer selection is always changing and always ice cold. The servers are on point 98% of the time. It gets a little crowded at times so you’ll have to forgive them for being a thriving business that can’t get enough help. Be patient I promise they are worth the wait. If you are in a big hurry try McDonald’s. They will cost you more and get your order wrong consistently.

To anyone at the IceHouse Pub that is willing to listen….YOU BE THE JUDGE!!!! Walked into the IceHouse Pub tonight with a party of six at 5:30 p.m. CALVIN, your host, informed us it would be hard to get a table for our party since it was Trivia night (which didn’t start until 7) but then points out a table and says, “as soon as they’re done eating, you can have that table”. Even though there were empty tables everywhere. He hands us a beeper and says it should be about 30 min. And would beep us when the table was ready. We thanked him, grabbed some cocktails and waited in the vicinity of the table he had earmarked for us near the dart boards. 35 minutes passed and we noticed the other party cashed out. Calvin and the servers cleared off the table and he walked back to hostess station. So we waited at the table waiting for our beeper to go off. As I walked to hostess station to see what, problem was, I see Calvin approaching us with another group he is going to seat at the table. When we confronted Calvin he claimed he wouldn’t be able to seat us and there weren’t any options!!!! He also went on to say he “talked to the owner” who said there just wasn’t any room for our party of 6. No apology, no options, NOTHING! Why on earth did you even bother to give us a beeper? Why would you have us wait 35 minutes to tell us. Clearly, the 6 of us meant absolutely NOTHING to Calvin. So this is how you want to treat your customers??? Having been in the customer service industry for well over 33 years, I can tell you firsthand you are setting yourself up for failure! There are so many other options in your area…and from the looks of most of your reviews, you all have some work to do. I am more angry at myself for choosing your establishment over all the wonderful restaurants in Punta Gorda. That mistake will NEVER happen again. You can rest assured we will NOT be back….nor will the rest of the people in our party! I’m sure You all don’t care as you clearly demonstrated tonight but I’m sure hoping your social media followers will!

The hot honey chicken wings were very good and I would get them again. The cheeseburger was nothing special. It was dry and not much taste. The service was slow and seemed unorganized. I say at the outside bar where multiple customers complained on how long the service took.

The only reason I have 4 starts on service is because our wires flat out told us that our people on the pub crawl were all (90 people) not nice and grumpy. These people had so much fun and were laughing all day. She herself gave us very slow and not welcoming service. Other than that it was great. She also told us you ran out of charcuterie boards?

Another awesome place in PG. Wings and burgers are a must have on the menu. As a side note ask for the cocktail list and order the double rye Manhattan you won't be disappointed.

The building in and of itself is interesting and has a ton of character. There are pool and darts to challenge your friends and loved ones to a game. The food is delicious and the staff have all been very sweet. It's a fun, out of the way spot to grab lunch and have a chat.

Worst bar in punta gorda by far. Bar and wait staff uneducated about their offered selection. atmosphere is dark and dingy and was greasy everywhere i put my hands. dart area borderline encroachs on the pool tables and the bathrooms were filthy. didnt get his name but the bartender with brown curly hair was down right rude i was dumbfounded that they allow him to treat people the way he does.

My family lives in punta gorda and over the past two years we always make ice house a place to visit. We love the darts! The staff has always been friendly and professional from the bartender to the bus boy cleaning the table as soon as possible. Usually we do alot of drinking but last time I got the cheese burger. It was good! Thick patty cooked perfectly to medium just the way I asked. I would recommend this place to any group looking for fun activity to do in down town punta gorda.

I’ve never been to England, so I can only imagine that their pubs are very much like the Ice House. The atmosphere is very laid back. The food is very nice. I have had the fish and chips and I believe it’s the best I’ve ever had. I’ve also had the cheese curds and can say they are the best I’ve had outside of Wisconsin. The cheese squeaks! The prices are reasonable and the service is attentive and friendly. I’ve been there now a few times and will go back again. If you like to throw darts, they have about a dozen bristle boards ready to use.

This place is a hidden gem and it's been there since the 1800s(people used to ride horses here think about that!!) possibly the best atmosphere in the area! And they can cook chicken any way you want it to perfection that's saying something these days!!! 😂🥞🍳

I always enjoy going to the Ice House Pub. I love the atmosphere, take advantage of the dart boards and the food is always delicious. It's a good time every time!

Darts, billiards, drinks, and good food.

The food is great and the owner/management are awesome. The table service has been slacking lately, so I just order at the bar. I enjoy all of the Ames they have to offer, keeps the kids happy.

We came from the Orlando Fl area to take our Aunt that is 102 years old to lunch. She is from Punta Gorda and is moving to Arizona this month. It is Sunday afternoon on November 26th. Ask the manager on duty for a table for 9 people. He said we would have to sit at two different tables, or sit outside and move two round tables together. Their were plenty of tables to move together inside but he said no. So we went down the street to the Celtic Ray's and spent over $200.00 Ice House is not a friendly or good place to go!

The food was delicious and hot. Great customer service. The only complaint that would have is that my mother is in a wheelchair and the only seating that could accommodate her was outside, and the day we were there, it was 98 degrees. All the tables inside the restaurant are high tops. Unfortunately, our server didn't offer to move a table inside for us, and we didn't ask just a little frustrating.

First time visitors. Best burgers I had in years. The British mustard had a great snap to it which complemented the "chips" perfectly. Great variety of craft beers. Can play a game if darts. Music was lively but not too loud. There seemed to be a lot of friends meeting up for a bite together. Well worth a stop in.
