I really wanted to like this food. I had a small jerked chicken. The chicken tasted ok, but I had very little, maybe 1 whole piece of chicken, not even a whole leg quarter, mostly bones.... The rice was so mushy and everything seemed old. My husband had the brown stew fish which he said was better because it was cooked fresh. We also had the red pea soup which had NO taste. I had to season it up myself when I got home. Also, the restaurant was not the cleanest. I gave that a little pass because it was an old building and maybe some fresh paint would have helped... I can't understand these good reviews. They must like nasty food or be their friends and relatives.

Sign in restaurant indicates under new management. Ordered the brown stew chicken with rice and peas. Firstly, restaurant is very dirty in appearance, old and worn located in a plaza I would only venture to during daylight. The food is kept in the back and not displayed in front like other Jamaican restaurants, such as Golden Crust, and there are no prices listed. I contemplated leaving but ordered anyway and regret not walking out just based on how dirty the place looked. The flavor of the chicken is strange, rice was basmati style and I had to search for the peas. Took a bite an threw it away. Rather not risk potentially getting sick. Always best to follow your initial instinct.

Overpriced. Unorganized. Their food price change every time I come there. $25 for a small plate of curry goat with only 3 piece of goat in it. They’re not even sure what their prices are. Save your money and time. Don’t recommend m.

I can't comment on the food, but I was shocked at how this restaurant looked dirty. There is no way this establishment got anything less than a D for cleaniliness. Where are the inspectors.

My friend really wanted to try this place out. We attempted to visit earlier in the week but there was a sign on the window that they were closed (outside of the normal hours). My friend said the beef patty was delicious, but the rice was too mushy, and she was disappointed that there was no sauce for the rice or the fish. I was disappointed that they had yellow yam on the menu, but they had no yellow yam. The cabbage and the plantains were pretty good but nothing special. The jerk sauce was a little overwhelming on the jerk shrimp meal. They completely mixed up our two orders. This place really needs to be cleaned up. Give it a slight upgrade just by changing out those filthy ceiling tiles and painting the walls, as it looks dirty and dated. I was totally turned off by the condition of the interior.

Tried them for dinner ordering through Uber eats for delivery for the first time. I got the oxtail with rice and Peas and steamed veg. I enjoyed the rice and the steamed veg a lot. The oxtail had good flavor, but not much for the price and the pieces I did get were a lot of bone and very fatty, so although they appeared hearty, there was not much meat unfortunately. Otherwise the order was correct, early, and tasty.

I was craving some good Jamaican food (Oxtails) to be exact and found this small restaurant hidden at this shopping center. Don’t be fooled by the appearance. Staff is friendly and food is GREAT. I had the large plate of Oxtails with Rice/peas and plantains and the taste is homemade like mom cooked it especially for me. Thanks for the delicious meal.

I'm a out of towner in this place definitely gave me that "authentic Jamaican taste" that I was looking for while on vacation. Thank You Again!

Tried to call ahead to order my food, but there was no answer. Upon arrival, I placed an order with the lovely Somara who provided awesome customer service. I ordered a large brown stew chicken and paid a dollar extra for two plantains. For 13.00, the portion was awesome. The rice texture was perfect. The only thing that I would change is that I tasted a tremendous amount of cloves. It didn't ruin the rice, but I'm not a fan of cloves. I love that the rice was not salty. The chicken texture was awesome, with no complaints. Was bummed that they were out of fried dumplings at 3:00 in the afternoon . Dont really like the area, tons of corners for sketchy people to hide if they wanted to. Do not come in this area alone or unarmed. The building can use some renovation and upgrades. I will be back if I'm in the area.

I ordered the brown stew snapper, which came with rice and peas and steamed cabbage. The dish was very tasty. I gave the food 4 out of 5 stars because I wanted the fish to be extra spicy, and it was only mild.

The brown stew fish and the escoveitched fish were fresh, perfectly seasoned, and well-cooked. Ackee & saltfish and fried dumplings were also really tasty. Definitely recommend their food. Friendly service, too. Go early. They run out of some items by mid-afternoon.

What happen to the original owners? The new young kids in charge are running this place down to the ground. They selling customers old food and terrible customer service I been going here since I was child. Never again!!

Unfortunately, my recent visit was not so delightful. It's unadvertised overpriced subpar food. No prices are posted anywhere. A/C inoperable. Broken down equipment in the lobby, and the front door stuck heavily. The oxtails have neck bones in them. I feel cheated.

The food here is amazing, I love everything here. I have tried all the food and this is the place to come for good Jamaican food.

First time and last time eating at this place. I Bought brown stew chicken. It had no taste. The gravy was watery and the rice and peas was black. The rice was mushy and hard. Please cook like you are Jamaican.

OH MY GOD!! I’m praying that God help them!! Since the original owners left tyhe dread and his wife this has gone to the dogs. I mean look at this oxtail that I spent my hard working $21 dollars for . The food had absolutely no taste , dry , no gravey, no beans . Taste NASTY !!!!!!’ I didn’t know people roast oxtail . Me and my husband visiting from California and we happen to come across jah love restaurant the food is okay we enjoy the oxtail👍but the customer service was everything the young lady at the front lets us feel welcome good job I surly visited again see you soon. 👍

I hesitate to write this review, however my experience forces me to do so. I am quite familiar with, and enjoy a nice jerk chicken dinner. This was my first, and last visit to this restaurant. The chicken that was served was quite possibly the worst food I have been served in my life. Jerk Chicken should be plump and juicy with a nice golden color to the outside, This was gray and lifeless. It was extremely dry and foul tasting. While the folks running this place seemed nice, the food was dreadful , and the interior was filthy and run down. Do yourself a favor, and steer clear of this establishment.

Me and the wife come here all the time the jerk chicken has us hooked. If anyone is saying that this long standing establishment is not on point with service and food quality they have a personal stake and want to see this place fail. You can feel the love in the food which make this great place to eat hands down!!!

Do not!!! I repeat DO NOT GO THERE! I knew I should have left when no one entered In the entire 15 minutes that I sat in the parking lot at the peak of the lunch hour. Strike 1…. Let’s start; upon entry there was an instant wave of heat hotter than outside that hits you from inside when you open the door to enter. I thought I was going to have a heat stroke just trying to go inside . Moving on, As soon as you enter there was a man sleeping at the table and I mean all over the table and the worker doesn’t greet you at all just sits on the phone talking… STRIKE 2!!! The food. OMG THE FOOD!!!! STRIKE 3! The food is horrible. The rice looks like Haitian rice with the exception Haitian rice definitely has flavor. This was as tasteless as it come. It was pretty much dark kidney beans and reheated or under cooked long grain rice. It doesn’t even matter because it was nasty. The oxtails were all fat, cold and tasteless no Tyme no scotch bonnet no salt no pepper no nothing. The patty how do you mess up such a quick bite staple. The crust on the patty was hard and reheated under the hot light. That’s not even the topper the meat inside the patty taste like mashed boiled peanuts and not good boiled peanuts like boiled dried and repeated over and over before putting it inside the patty. Let me just note you don’t even smell the aroma of food cooking! Anyone who gives this place higher than anything but a 1 because 0 isn’t possible; is a part of the new management, a friend, or family member. I would not order from this place ever again. I would not even say this is leftovers cause leftovers taste better the next day. This food would not be good on any day! Not even if there were days between days! They need new management again who can come with a real cook. If you want authentic and tasty Jamaican food just drive a little extra to Negril or Caribbean Sunshine Bakery. There’s no disappointment!

The food was delicious! I ordered an oxtail plate. The customer service was awesome. The place is small with limited seating.

We were told they just changed management wish we went when the old management was there because this was a horrible experience with this new staff......Never will I return here to microwaved food that's old & cold.......no thanks I threw my oxtail plate away , food that was not edible. My man's stomach hurt after his jerked chicken . I had to ask for my plate to be microwaved twice. Just to not be able to eat the oxtail and rice ........ Bummer we love Jamaican food we won't pay for this good luck to you guys .$35 dollars for microwaved leftovers really refund would have been nice we were unhappy.. Crew member in the kitchen arguing while we are sitting waiting for our food seeing all types of family walking in with not sanitizing then handling our food come on guy very unsanitary and unprofessional first expression in this industry mean a lot that wasn't a good one .

I visited this location and the young guy at the front counter was rude don't know how to treat a customer in top of that My food was bad the jerk chicken was dry not spicy at all and the rice taste old this place wasn't like that before when the lady at the front and the Rasta Man cooking in the back. The rice was very moist and the stew chicken tasted good. The roti skin was dry and hard which made it inedible.

I stopped in for some take out red peas soup, then decided to add escovitch fish dinners for myself and my husband. Not only was the customer service friendly and informative, but the food was well seasoned and prepared to perfection. Kudos to the new owner and staff. I'll be returning every chance I get.

Went there looking for roti and curry and it was amazing! The sista said she makes her food with love and you can definitely taste it! We will be back

Food is disgusting. Idk what is wrong with these Floridians claming this food is good. The rice is not traditional Caribbean rice, the taste is awful with a bland microwave vibe to it. Simple stew chicken dinner. Never agin and to be fair its not only them. Alot of the “jamican food” in orlando is just straight trash and lack flavor and presentation. But want to charge you close to $20 for some bs.

The moment you walk in it smells like rat traps. I hadn’t been here before and Went there cause my other place was out of rice and peas. I ordered an oxtail with rice and peas. While I was waiting for my order I read the review about the microwave and could hear the microwave beeping as she was packing up my order. The rice looked like a basmati rice that was gone bad and had a smell.

I have been to this restaurant a few times. Being from NY it’s hard to come by good Caribbean food. So I was very dissatisfied when I came in today to order a large oxtail rice and peas and vegetables. One. They had no vegetables so she wanted to charge me extra to replace the second side. Two. The rice and peas looked like brown basmati rice and the peas were small looking and dry. Upon examining the food and smelling what seems to smell sour another customer who ordered exactly what I ordered was already complaining about the food looking old and smelling sour. They also use a microwave to heat up their food. Very disappointed and y’all definitely lost me and my family and friends as a customer.

I was very disappointed! I should have left when I heard them using the microwave. I then knew It wasn’t fresh. I should have went with my first kind and left. I ordered the jerk chicken dinner, I asked for peas and rice and was just given this brown rice that looks like they rice a roni. The chicken was very dry and looked to be old. They didn’t ask if I wanted gravy on the rice or ask if I needed any sauce. Very unprofessional

Tasty fresh delicious great service

So, I walked into the restaurant and could not smell the food; that was my cue to leave, but I didn't. The food is terrible; too much sauce on the rice makes it saggy. No taste to the curry chicken, not curry goat, and jerk chicken is salty. I would be more disappointed if the chef was from Jamaica.

My 1st order was fine but the 4 subsequent orders over the next 3 months were terrible. One order had stale oxtails that smelled rotten, and burnt plantains. Another order had dried out chicken. Because I didn't check the food inside the the restaurant, and went home, I didn't notice until it was too late. I did not complain about the food, I just dumped the orders. I will never be going back.

Staff was nice the food is over priced I got brown stewed chicken and rice, not to mention they had no sides I only could get plantains and charged $18.00 for a small.

Not sure if the same cook is there because the food taste so different. The jerk chicken was OVERLY spicy and DRY even with gravy. The rice was also so dry. i never experienced this before and I’ve been coming here for years. The lady that took my order was nice i also never seen her before though. The Mac and cheese was great best I’ve had in a while. The restaurant is also very hot like no AC hot. Wouldn’t eat there because of the heat.

While visiting Kissimmee, I was trying to decide on dinner. My daughter suggested that I try Caribbean Cusine. We found Jah Love and was delighted to see that they had a variety of meals on the menu. I ordered oxtails, cabbage with rice and peas, I also added a Jamaican beef patty on the side. Portions were generous. My meal was absolutely delicious and the patty as well. I will definitely order again when Im back for a visit.

Very disappointed I asked for oxtail and they asked me what size... Small or large I said large with white rice... Four pieces of oxtail which the oxtail I want to rate it three out of 10 Two stars because the lady was very nice but not recommending it.

I didn't eat from here, so I can not give a review based on the quality of the food. However, my review is based solely upon the establishment having very limited menu options to decide from. When my husband and I walked in and picked up the menu, we were greeted but was told the only thing that we had to choose from was a selection of 5 things. This instantly made me not want to order from here as I felt forced to decide from what the restaurant limited me to and not what I might have wanted to eat.

I randomly called this restaurant to cater to my family a few days ago. The food (Curried Goat & Jerk Chicken) was well prepared and yummy. We would recommend them if you're in the Kissimmee/Orlando area.

I just ordered the curry chicken plater. It was beyond yummy. Authentic Food it was. Warning though! Your tummy will be filled. The plates are huge with so much deliciousness packed and loaded.

BEST JAMAICAN/CARRIBEAN FOOD IN TOWN, THE OXTAIL FALL OFF THE BONE, THE JERK CHICKEN IS SEASONED TO THE BONE. OH AND THE ROTI WITH CURRY CHICKEN... HONESTLY EVERYTHING I'VE EATEN HERE WAS REALLY DELICIOUS

My breakfast was delicious. I had the Ackee and Saltfish with Fried Dumplings and Bananas. Best Jamaican restaurant around hands down. Chef Leroy was great. Rose was friendly and welcoming. Clean and followed covid19 guidelines.

My experience at Jah Love was a 6.5 on a scale of 1-10. I had very high expectations because of the reports I had received. When I got there, the staff was cordial and attentive. They moved a bit slow for my liking, but they were very nice. A couple of the items on their menu were not available, which frustrated me because I wanted those things. I was able to get a brown stewed chicken plate and it was ok. It wasn’t the best I’ve had nor was it the worst. It was too sweet for my taste, but it was ok. The plate size was fitting for the price I paid and they had an excellent variety of tropical drinks available. I’ve been back a few times, but it’s not at the top of my Caribbean food list. I do drop by every now and then for patties and coco bread because I love to support small businesses and the people are nice. If you’re in the area, stop in. You might really like it.
