Excellent food. A great culinary experience! Presentation, freshness, creativity 10/10. The salad was superb and so was the rabbitt and salmon. It hit all the checkboxes. We had a wonderful dinner.

We are so glad we tried this place, it was excellent! It’s on the pricey side but you absolutely get what you pay for. As an aside, the menu is slightly different than the pics here but they do have it updated in their website. We had the salmon and steak with the chocolate crème brulee. It was all perfect.

Phenomenal place in the middle of Lafayette. Chef Will Baxter and crew have a great thing going here. Our server Ronnie made sure we had everything we need to make the meal enjoyable. The service could not have been better. Every dish was prepared to perfection. The A5 Wagyu....mouth watering. I have had the privilege of dining in some of the best restaurants in the US and I would place the food at Jane's right next to any of them. Patronize this place over and over again. Their great work deserves it.

INCREDIBLE food, service and ambiance. I feel like this place is a bit of a secret but I can’t stay silent. I’ve never heard of Jane’s until this week and I had to give it a try. We went on a Saturday night and it was relatively slow. The vibe here is well thought out, but small family type of business. There’s one server, one chef, and a sous chef. That’s it! Our waiter managed all the tables with fínese and we didnt have a single complaint. Don’t expect a fast dinner. It’s 3 courses and you order all at once from a small menu. I don’t think you could go wrong with anything but we had the parmigiana soup and salad to start, pheasant pot pie (highly recommended), and ended with chocolate créeme brûlée and Mille something. Idk whatnot was called, but it was really good. *Please visit so this restaurant survives!!!* If you’re a Ruffinos, Charley Gs, or Vestal kind of gal, you’re going to LOVE this one.

The experience was amazing the adventure of tasting the different selections allowed me to savor new tastes and new creations the presentations of the food was amazing and the explanations were an added pleasure compliments to the chef sou chef and waiter the home was beautiful gave a birthday adventure of time place and palate something I will never forget

We had dinner here New Year’s Eve. One of the servers had apparently quit last minute so our waiter Ronnie and the hostess were the only ones working the tables- even though it was a full house they did an amazing job attending to everyone and were very pleasant. The food was great, especially the steak and the lobster bisque.

Went with my husband for our anniversary dinner, and the food was prepared and cooked TO PERFECTION. Do not come here, if you want a quick meal, but RUN here, if you are looking for a lasting and luxurious culinary experience. We spent about 3 hours here, and it was well worth the wait. Portions, ingredients and professionalism could not be improved upon. Will definitely book again.

Great service and atmosphere. Food was good but not great. Overpriced ($150 -200 / person without alcohol). Dining experience was not worth what is charged. I have eaten at world class 5 star restaurants for less money and better food.

Incredible food and ambiance. The ultimate date night/special night experience. I've eaten at just about every "fancy" restaurant in Lafayette and this place takes the cake for #1. This place is one notch above every single restaurant in Lafayette. The care and thought that is put into the menu is amazing. The quality of ingredients they source is unmatched in this area. The atmosphere is very original. 10/10

Had Jane's again last night and it never disappoints. The wagyu steak filet with potatoes and asparagus was to die for. What a treat! The service was kind and laid back. I TOTALLY recommend for a special date night!

We went last night for our anniversary, 5 tables filled, all couples so it was not packed. We were there for 2.5 hrs (6:15 to 8:45) and eating time was probably 1/2 hour. It took 45 mins for bread, and 1 1/2 hour for appetizer, another 30 mins for dinner. The wait was ridiculously long it took away how good the food was. To pay almost $250 for this meal you would expect great service but no. The chef was loud and rude to staff, throwing pans and banging the fridge door, it was so awkward. There was no apology given for the lateness from the servers or the chef. I would go to Vestal, Pamplonas or Charley G's than go back to this place.

Food has been excellent every time I've visited. Tastes like really well executed home cooked meals. Lots of care and attention into each dish.

The chef was extremely rude to other employees and yelling at every single employee (loud enough for most tables to hear) in a condescending way for the majority of the evening. It made us very uncomfortable. Not to mention the 2.5 hour wait for food… save your $$ and go elsewhere.

From opening night to today (and forever), Jane's has been my favorite place to dine in Lafayette. It's the best atmosphere for celebrations and the fireplace, blue room, art/antiques, and view of the kitchen is like no other. You truly get a Parisian experience as soon as you walk into the courtyard and especially whenever you begin to leisurely enjoy a great bottle of wine with the fresh baguettes supplemented with the prettiest dish of butter (that is perfectly salted on the top). It's one of the very few spots that I've been to where the art of sitting down to have an amazing meal with a glass of wine (in an unhurried fashion), accompanied with genuine conversation, is brought back to life again. I could write an essay about how much Jane's means to me, but to go there yourself is truly a gift. I am forever grateful to the fantastic staff members, who have always made me feel special in terms of both customer service and as a friend. Everything about this restaurant creates for a one-of-a-kind evening (which sounds cliché, but it's right!). I love y'all. Here's to many more nights spent at one of the most exceptional establishments I've ever been to in my life. Cheers, with a flute of bubbles (because that's the right way to start everything off)!

Excellent fare in a charming environment. The Pinot Noir was excellent, the butternut squash soup was perfect for a slightly chili evening on the patio and the Baked Salmon wrapped in puff pastry was divine. Two members of our party had the short ribs and another had the lobster thermidor, both of which were perfectly prepared. Beautiful building and patio. Dined there on New Year's Eve 2022 which is my birthday so that certainly heightened the experience.

My wife and I had a great experience Friday evening at Jane’s . 12/23/22. The wagyu steaks were perfect. The staff was awesome! The desert was light and full of flavor. This was a great dining experience for us. Randy & Polly Dugas

I had the $110 wagyu ribeye. It was easily worth it. You'll spend a little but the food is some of the best in Lafayette.

11-11-22 My boyfriend and I came here for the first time. THIS IS WHAT THE REVIEWS DON'T TELL YOU: 1. There is a $40.00 reservation fee. 2. There are only 2 cooks/chefs in the small kitchen. You WILL BE WAITING HOURS FOR FOOD. lol!!! 3. They overbook AND the chef can NOT actually prepare meals for the customers in a TIMELY MANNER. (This is an absolutely bad call on the manager of the establishment and chef.) 4. DO NOT COME TO THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU WANT TO DO OTHER THINGS IN THE LATE EVENING--THERE WILL AT LEAST BE AN HOUR WAIT FOR YOUR ENTREE (if not more) ...AND AT LEAST A 30 MIN. WAIT FOR THE APPETIZERS YOU ORDER PRIOR TO. 5. The manager/chef has no consideration for their patrons...so customers do not receive water for free as they are waiting hours for food to be prepared. Every bottle of water ordered is over $6.00. Complimentary bread is not even offered out of inconvenience or the restaurant staff NOT mentioning the "wait time." The pluses: 1. The butter nut squash soup: 10/10 2. The bread and butter: 10/10 3. The Salmon Wellington puff pastry: 10/10 4. The Chicken Ballotine: 10/10 The food is very delicious. I just felt like I was held hostage from 7:20-9:55 waiting to eat. THAT IS NOT FUN! Because of THAT and...being price gouged...I'm done!

O-O-M-M-G-G, What can I say? The attention to detail was amazing! Every course was spectacular, the venison, the scallops and if you thought you knew Carrot Cake, well you have not had this carrot cake!!! And the staff were just as amazing. Most wonderful experience we have had in a long time.

Best meal I have had in Lafayette in a long time. We can't wait to go back, especially to check out the new seasonal menu change. So thankful to have a restaurant of this caliber in our city. Atmosphere was just as lovely as the food.

Truly spectacular. We went for a celebratory date night and the food, service, and ambiance was nothing short of incredible. We loved everything about it!

My wife and I had our second visit, and it was just as amazing as the first. The seasonal menu changes were very exciting, and we had the hands down best pork, salmon, and sweet breads dishes I've ever eaten. If you haven't had the pleasure of a dinner here yet, I can't recommend it enough. Words really don't do it justice.

The place is lovely and quaint, it was a romantic atmosphere, had dim lighting, and looked to have maybe 10 or so tables. The hostess was phenomenal! She absolutely helped make our experience memorable. We’ve eaten at some incredible restaurants all over the country, and I have to gush at the attention to plating detail and the sheer quality of the food was top notch. !The.dishes.were.delicious! Our favorites were the tuna tartare and the wagyu ribeye. I believe the menu is regularly subject to change, so you MUST check in again the following month if what’s listed currently is not to your taste! Do not sleep on this little gem! ❤️

We ate at Jane’s for the first time last night and it was outstanding. I’m so glad to have found an fabulous restaurant in Lafayette that has incredible food and is also intimate and not loud inside. It was a beautiful evening and we can’t wait to go back.

Intimate setting, you can see the chef and staff work, so yes, you can hear the fussing and stuff too. It can get pretty hectic in there, we witnessed it, but we thought it was funny, and felt like Hell's Kitchen. Overall, service was very good and food was also good. We had the following: -Caviar -Escargot -Foie Gras Terrine -Filet w/ Black Truffles -Duck Food was good, our favorite was definitely the caviar since it had all the accompaniments. Jane's is THE NICEST restaurant in Lafayette. The chef came by or table, gave us a sample of a dish he was testing and was very personable. If you are looking for a unique experience that you won't find anywhere else, Jane's is the place to go.

We had an absolutely amazing time! The food was beyond (I wanted to bathe in the butternut miso soup), the environment was warm and inviting (you could literally feel the love and dedication to the Chef's grandmother in every touch and taste), and the service was above and beyond (thanks Jake!). We will absolutely be back ASAP! Thanks for making our belated Valentine's Day feel special!
