Had french toast. It was great, service was great! Cute little place across from courthouse with parking! Clean and decorated nicely. Would go back if in town again. I sat on the covered front patio when finished. Would recommend. The menu has a lot of nice choice. I would try chipped cream beef next time because I didn't see that until reading the reviews ;)

The food is absolutely delicious. They have the best pancakes around in my opinion. The place is clean with a laid-back atmosphere. The owners and staff are friendly and helpful.

I always like to lift a business up and not tear them down, but this is the worst service experience I have ever had. We arrived at 11:12 and left at 12:40 - almost 90 minutes for Father's Day breakfast. I will preface that this review has nothing to do with being short staffed and needing to wait, it is all based on server mistakes and frankly incompetence. - At the host stand, she (server 1) got our menus and told us to sit wherever we wanted so we went outside. After some time I realized we didn't even have menus and nobody was coming out. I went inside to ask for menus and seen that the server just left them at the host stand for us, so when we went outside she decided not to bring them to us. - After some time (and I'll use this term often) nobody came and got our drink order, finally server 1 came. She couldn't take our order because she said server 2 already used our table by mistake. She asked what we wanted to drink and she had to fix the table situation just to take our order. After some time, server 2 came back with coffee, no cream. She has to come back to give us cream and was quickly leaving until I had to call her back and asked if we could order. She apologized and thought we needed more time. No, we never asked for more time we had been there for at least 20 minutes at that point. - My husband order a French toast special. I'm a vegan so I ordered toast, hash browns, and peaches, a fairly uncommon order. As we were waiting for our meals, server 2 asked if we wanted more coffee, instead we ordered a water and an unsweet tea with lemon. After some time I went inside to check on our drinks, server 2 was on her way out with another table's drinks and not ours. She saw me and apologized because she forgot our waters. No, not waters, 1 water and 1 tea. By this time, we should have already eaten which we had just gotten our drinks so instead of a rational outside breakfast, it was now too hot, nearly 1 hour. When she finally came back with our drinks we asked if we could go inside. She said our food should be up soon. It is as now noon and we haven't gotten our food. - Server 1 must have noticed us and came over to apologize because, in her words, because we moved inside, when she went to deliver our food our table was empty so she gave it to another table. What?? 45 minutes, no food and she gave it to another table. I asked how does that even happen, did the other guests not realize? She then reiterated that WE moved our table and Server 2 didn't change it and also these other people also ordered French toast. Remember that specific vegan breakfast I ordered? Who else ordered that?? Incompetence at its finest. We got a very weak apology but definitely made us feel it was OUR fault. - After some time, we finally got our order., oh yes, and that time I asked for my lemo, it never came without me asking again. My side of toast has one piece of toast so I had to ask Server 1 if there was another piece of toast, she said, yes let me go get it. Again, you've already made several mistakes, would you not be sure our order is correct? - After we were able to eat, neither server came to check on us. We asked for the check and after some time got it. - when checking out at the bar, my husband complained which he NEVER does, that's left up to me ☺️, he said that she made him feel like she was trying to blame us. She said sorry you feel that way and I said that was just one mistake of many. She took my card and walked away, "have a great day", didn't even stay to get my printing receipt. - We have never had such an experience. I know the difference being short staffed and incompetence. Not once did server 2 come back to explain what happened, apologize, or to check on us. Not a manager, nothing. We would never look for a discount, but it was a slap in the face to not even try to make it better. We used to order lunch from them but we will never go there again. Everyone makes mistakes and that's not a problem. Several mistakes that turns into a 90-minute breakfast IS a problem.

Food cold, Mom got sick after eating there

Quaint elegant yet not stuffy. Very clean, great great menu, great prices. The owner and staff are there and friendly, personable. Absolutely will go back again and again.

Ordered the fish fry. The waitress didn't know what kind of fish it was. The fish was really good. The fries were not. Didn't taste fresh and she never came back to check or fill up drinks. I think the waitress needs some training. She said she had only worked there a week. The owner was cooking the food so I don't know if they're short handed or not.

Family had breakfast. Awesome food. Staff great.

Food, service and atmospher, great. Other that "Custom" the only reccomended tip amount on the checkout screen was "30%". Tipping has gotten out of hand, Reluctanant to go back.

Really enjoyed brunch. Bottomless Mimosas was an added delight on my birthday (and you can get it during the week, too). Lobster Benedict and chipped beef on toast. Eggs light, fluffy, and cooked perfectly. Lobster would have been better in bigger pieces, not minced. Went back a couple of days later and had the club sandwich with pasta salad and the patty melt. Chili on a cold day was hearty and delicious 😋.

How many wonderful things can someone say about a restaurant? I’ve never felt so welcome; it was like becoming part of a family instantaneously. Food and service were excellent, but the owners and staff make it like a second home. I came in with my kiddo expecting an uneventful breakfast and left feeling like we found a new home-away-from-home. Needless to say, highly recommended. Thanks again - Mia and Jude ☺️

Brunch on the weekend is delicious! There's a couple snack boards for starters. Basic egg breakfast, a variety if benedicts, and a country fried steak that'll fill you up! Super cute decorations and a dessert case! 10/10 recommended! Oh and there's bottomless mimosas! Can't go wrong there!

Food was okay. Basic burgers and sandwiches. Very disappointed with the desserts. The pictures posted on FB look so good but the two slices we ordered were burnt. With all the frosting, we didn't know until we were eating burnt cake. Not sure why they were sold this way. The individual cheesecake was okay though.

Had Jury duty, across the street was this gem. Husband ordered the open face turkey I ordered the BLT. My husband's dish looked yummy, he was able to confirm. The turkey looked real not pressed, and hubby devoured his lunch. My sandwich was equally delicious. Crisp lettuce, fresh tasty bacon and the tater tots were perfect! Fast friendly service just a great place. I will be back!

Had lunch here while on jury duty. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the patty melt with a side of tater tots. Very delicious and satisfying. This was definitely the highlight of my day.

Reserved the private room for after a wedding. Beautifully decorated room, complimentary champagne, delicious food, and stellar service! Something for everyone on the menu. I just can't say enough nice things. We will go back often! Thank you to all of you!

Spend most mornings here. Staff is inviting and kind. Never disappointed with the food or atmosphere. In fact its hard to start my day without coming here first.

We had a group event here on 12/3, and it went perfectly. Coordination: Lori was extremely responsive and accommodating! We had several options for our group and we went the the Italian option. Atmosphere/Location: excellent, great atmosphere and right downtown. We had the place to ourselves, which was awesome. Food: A+! The chicken parm was amazing, and the tiramisu was a huge hit. Charcuterie was excellent and fresh! Service: Staff was very friendly and attentive, kept beverages coming and positively contributed to our evening! They were proactive and took care of everything! I can't say enough great things about our evening and we will absolutely continue using Jeannie's!

Hangry? Needing food that touches your soul? Jeanie’s will tuck your belly in with a happiness blanket and read it a bed time story. Maybe it’s the pregnancy hormones taking but the man in the kitchen can whip up a ridiculous patty melt (want to give it some character, add jalepenos- he’s generous). If you work in the area and get it delivered, you will barely have time to set the phone down and take a potty break before someone appears with your food! They put Jimmy Johns to shame! Once got. Homemade bacon egg and cheese for breakfast.. McDonald’s who?

Definitely worth going if you're in Tavares. We had 2 different Flatbread pizzas. Our friend had the BLT. It was massive. Great waitstaff. It's locally owned and operated.

What a delight! We 3 sisters stopped here for breakfast mid week. Sat outside on a cozy covered patio. Ordered mimosas and got a nice big glass. I tried blueberry pancakes for a mere 7 bucks and received two enormous pancakes chock full of blueberries! My younger sis had a Greek omelette loaded w fresh spinach & cheese. Big sis had over easy eggs and delish crispy hash browns. Bacon was cooked perfectly too. The service was great. Even the chef came out to say hello & ask if we enjoyed our breakfast. This place is a little gem!

First time going to Tavares location usually me and my family go to the eustis location but oh my goodness it's the Boujee spot(Karen voice) 😂 we absolutely love it and we all got a pancake and it's the biggest one we ever seen overall I have to say we love Jeannie and will show love to both locations always ❤️

We enjoy stopping here when we are in town. The food is always really good and affordable. The service is among the best we have ever experienced. Everyone is friendly and helpful.

Great place! Came here twice on a lunch break. Best grilled chicken sandwich. They get you in and out in a hurry. The first time I went here, my fries came out cold. When I told the cashier, he was understanding and gave me a credit for my drink. I plan to take my husband on a regular day.
