Sweet off the beaten path, delicious French fare.

Phenomenal! First time here and this is now our new favorite spot. Escargot and duck drumstick appetizers were delicious. Entrees were top notch as well. I had the lamb loin chops and the wife had the grilled shrimp. So many flavors and the chef was able to accommodate for a gluten allergy. Can’t wait to come back!

If you want to taste a corner of France in the USA.... don't hesitate, you will have it both in terms of cuisine and in terms of welcome.

They went above and beyond for my wife’s birthday and made the night magical. The food was amazing, as was the service and ambiance. Impeccable restaurant. Possibly the best in CNY.

A hidden GEM! I can’t believe it took us 2 years to find this restaurant just outside Skaneateles. One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a very long time. Unmatched service, superb and unique cuisine that was totally unexpected. We dined on the back patio and it was simply perfect! Highly recommend!

The best place for French food and atmosphere. The terrace is a lovely shade drenched piece of France. The staff are super friendly, and the food... Mon dieuz the food. Simply breathtaking. J'adore.

Outstanding ingredients that are perfectly cooked and seasoned. The service is not at the same level as the food e.g. I had to ask for bread, I was not asked if I wanted a second beer, I had to ask for more water, wait times are on the long side, etc.

We both had escargot which was cooked in oil without garlic instead of butter with garlic. Very disappointing. The rolls were obviously reheated in a microwave oven because they were hard as a rock when they cooled off. My wife ordered the haddock which was dry and the topping was mushy. Her vegetables were polenta with mushrooms and squash which were ok. I ordered the lamb chop medium/rare with French cut beans. The chop was over cooked to well done and it was dry. The beans were mushy, worse than canned. We were very disappointed with our meals and for the price, we could have had better in other comparable restaurants.

AWESOME place to eat!! Food is GREAT!!

This was our second visit to Joelle’s and we enjoyed it far less than our first. First of all, they crammed way too many tables into their outdoor area- the poor waiters could barely move around the tables and it was very crowded. We were placed extremely close to the table of another couple and it was very uncomfortable; we felt like we were infringing upon their space. Second- the wait staff was not well trained on how to do their job, and this was very obvious. Some of them were dressed very unprofessionally. There was one waiter that was decent and fairly well dressed, but the rest of them looked so frumpy and communicated awkwardly with the diners. Third- the food was not impressive. I got the chicken tagine, and was expecting a far more exciting flavor profile than what was provided. One of the appetizers - the shrimp/lobster cigar, tasted like a regular fried egg roll. For the amount of money they are charging for their food, I anticipated a better experience.

Great outdoor seating on the deck, food was delish, and staff was very attentive. Truly authentic fare.

Food and the view was perfect! We especially enjoyed appetizers(oyster and onion soup).

We had the fixed price New Year's Eve meal. Our individual entrees were flawless, and the combo appetizer and dessert plates were exquisite.

Wonderful classic French food in a beautiful atmosphere. Best steak au poivre ever! Alain Castel, the owner is so warm and welcoming. Fun birthday celebration! Can't wait to return!

Really great atmosphere and food!

This was our first visit to Joelle’s. The entire experience was fabulous. I started with a hand crafted cocktail, which was perfect. I had the soup special as an appetizer (butternut squash & ginger) and the lamb chops as the main course. Both were delicious and well prepared. The serving size was generous and I didn’t have room for dessert. The service was attentive but not over bearing. And we ate outside on the patio overlooking the beautiful grounds. The night was capped off with a complimentary, delicious “Mango-cella.” Will definitely return to Joelle’s the next time I’m in the area.

I went here years ago and had a wonderful time. The food is so rich and flavorful. If you are a fan of French cuisine, this is a must if you're in Central New York. I must go again soon, to support this solid chef and her team.

Joelle’s is the best restaurant in Central New York! A spectacular experience from the food to the people to the atmosphere. Perfect in every way. And they make special occasions even more special - creating the most gorgeous cake for a birthday celebration on short notice.

Wow! This place was amazing. From the charming ambiance to the outstanding service, I was immediately impressed. It is hard to find a French restaurant in this area and Joelle's knocks it out of the park. Their wine list had some really good finds, we did a couple bottles of the Cote du Rhone. There were 5 of us in my party, 3 got the special appetizer (a spring salad with phyllo dough pouches filled with a French cheese and fig), one person had the escargot and I had the lobster and shrimp cigar. My appetizer was my least favorite of the 3, and I still thought it was delicious. The aioli on the side could have used a touch more horseradish to my taste. I had the duck - the skin was crispy and the sauce complemented the duck perfectly. The duck wasn't too greasy at all. The sides were also very good. I tried a bite of the lamb and would absolutely order that another time. For dessert I split the creme brulee, flambee style (you have to) and that held up to the rest of the meal. The French Coffee was also nice at the end of the meal. I would like to thank the staff for providing me with such a wonderful birthday experience!

Best French bistro meal since we were in France in 2018. All food was excellent. The duck was great and a value meal for the quantity. My wife had the cassolette that was a close 2nd for quantity. Next time in the area will eat here more than once.

Just wow!! Ate here following my sister/brother-in-law’s wedding ceremony and was blown away by the food and service. There were approximately 25 people in our party and we all fit on the outdoor patio. If you are in the area, this should be a must visit for you. If we lived closer, we would probably eat here once a week! We got to try 6-7 appetizers and had steak with fries for dinner. My cosmo was amazing and everyone else at our table enjoyed wine. After dinner shots were a hit too! Can’t say enough about this restaurant. Quaint place, quality food, friendly/attentive service and great drinks! Thank you to the owners/staff...you nailed it!

It's easy to rate Joelle's at 5☆! The food was amazing!! The appetizers were beautiful and delicious. The salad with boursin in a purse, and the mushroom soup were outstanding. We loved the shrimp dish and the halibut. We all shared a perfect flaming crème brûlée. I suspect anything on the menu would be excellent. The service was super friendly. The atmosphere was great!! Enjoy!!!

Awesome setting and absolutely wonderful food.

One of the best dining experiences we have had anywhere. The food was outstanding and the service was first rate. The dining room is pleasant and provides a comfortable dining environment. Highly recommended.

Parfait! Worth the trip, from anywhere!Alain makes the mood congenial, the wine flows, and Joelle’s been a first order chef since her days is Soho. Simple or fancy you’ll be pleased.

Wonderful meal! Love this place!

The only authentic French restaurant in Central New York. It has great food and a great atmosphere. I would say it's the best place place in the area for a cozy and romantic dinner. The staff is welcoming and dedicated to great service. We had the tagine and the steak au poivre. The tagine was sweet and savory and rich. The steak was crisp on the outside with a melt in your mouth center. The pan sauce was a revelation. Very highly recommended.

Great date night dinner! Always a warm, friendly atmosphere! We usually call for reservations and request the outside patio if the forecast looks good. It does get a little "buggy" as the sun goes down. They have bug spray or bring your own. Hey it's CNY! Full drink selection with French wines of course! The gourmet menu is on par, next to none, and consistent year after year (we have been coming here since 2012ish) from the appetizers to entrees ending with their desserts. A must try for decerning palates. Pricing is right for drinks, food, and ambience. There were some families there with children, wanted to add that in to let you know it not a "stuffy" establishment!

The staff working at this place tended to my every need even when they had a lot on their plate. Truly amazing service and delicious food. The design of the restaurant was breathtaking as well. For a fine dining experience that doesn’t break the bank I would recommend eating here.

Went for our 37th wedding anniversary and were treated like family! Love the owners,food and the ambience! If the weather had only cooperated we would have eaten on the porch.

great food, excellent wine and awesome desserts. The best Duck Con fit and the best Steak au poive my 2 favorites and homemade "French Fries" Dessert Creme Brulee!!! The Moroccan Tagine is another favorite!!!
