I was not overly impressed, but was not unhappy. For me, I can not give 5 stars unless I am wowed. So dont take this as a bad review. Its a good place, just not great.

Great service. Waitress checked on us a number of times. Never went without what we needed. Pizza was excellent!! Came out super fast! Ingredients were fresh for sure.

I had an amazing experience at Joey's Pizza and Pasta! The food was absolutely delicious—from the crispy, perfectly cooked pizza to the rich and flavorful pasta dishes. Everything was top-notch. A special shoutout to our server, Claudio, who went above and beyond to make our meal even better. He was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend Joey's if you're looking for great food and outstanding service!

What happened to this restaurant which was once gem! We ordered take out and the food that was subpar! We ordered chicken parm that was burnt so bad I wouldn't even give it to my dog! We also ordered a chicken Caesar salad. The chicken and the croutons got thrown out because they were inedible! We also ordered fries which were burnt and a very small portion. And an order of wing which were a 4 out of 10! $85.00 wasted. I brought it to their attention and didn't do anything about it. Thanks Joey's I appreciate the call back! 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼

Our family of four had trouble finding an open early dinner spot at our resort that also offered air conditioning... failing that search we got our car out and found Joey's down the road. Spacious and cute, Joey's had the right atmosphere for a casual family dinner. Staff were friendly and moved quickly. The pizza ... 😚🤌 We haven't had proper New York style in a very long time. This pizza was exactly what was needed. The salads were fresh and delicious. I will warn you that we found the portions of salad and garlic knots to be enormous...we were expecting the size of clementine oranges but these were maybe 3x larger.

Ordered chicken parmigiana dinner, veal parmigiana dinner. Aldo ordered fried calamari, tough, no flavor soggy. Chicken was wet, soggy, no flavor, pasta tasted old. The veal was burnt black, tasted laced with lemon, all you tasted was lemon and a burnt taste, horrible. Tomatoe sauce was bland with a after taste that repeated. Worst meal I have had in Marco in the 38 yrs I have been a resident, never again! 3rd time I have been so disappointed. Much better options on this island . Being half Italian, brought up in an authentic Italian household, this was a disgrace! I felt like a sinner throwing it out in the garbage! I never mind paying exorbitant prices when the food is great, but this was a joke.

We honestly had an amazing experience here. The food was great and huge portions! The server was pretty good too but he didn’t really know the menu when we asked questions but he was busy so it was okay. My son was acting up at the table and I gave him plethora of warnings that if he didn’t stop I was going to take him outside for a spanking. He continued so I took him outside and started to talk to him. While I was talking to him he was still upset and swung his hands up and hit me in the face. That’s when I had the last straw and I spanked him. Then I sat him in the chair for 4 minutes and until he calmed down. I talked to him, I asked him why he was in time out and he told me, said he was sorry for hitting me. I told him the deal was to stand up, push the chair back in, and go back inside and finish his slice of pizza without whining o crying. He listened and did what I asked. When we sat down the manager of the restaurant ( I don’t remember his name because I was so overwhelmed and overstimulated with my son but I wish I did bc he was nice and kind) came up to us and introduce himself and told me “I just wanted to inform you that an anonymous customer saw how you handled your kids at dinner and thought you did an amazing job and picked up you’re entire bill for you. They don’t want us to tell you who it was but they just admired how you handled everything and picked up your bill.” I was literally fighting back the tears to tell him please let them know how grateful we are because that was the LAST thing I would ever expect. Those kinda things never happen to me let alone us. And that was definitely a hefty bill to pick up considering there was 5 of us, plus our apps, and our drinks and all. But the fact that the food, the environment, and also the clientele obviously of the restaurant was just overall top noch and such a great experience that I know me and my family will never forget. So I will always remember this place and always recommend. And if the anonymous customer ever sees this review please just know I and my entire family is so so deeply grateful and appreciate for your generous action. 🙏🙏 thank you to you, the staff and the restaurant ♥️♥️

This pizza was great. Dave P I would guess would give it an 8.1. And the antipasto was 2 meals in itself.

Joeys is our favorite restaurant on marco island. Our kids never want to go anywhere else ! The staff is always amazing. Friendly and attentive and we have yet to have a bad meal in the hundreds of times we've gone! You won't be disappointed here.

Phenomenal pizza. Tried the sausage one night on vacation then went back two nights later for a classic NY cheese pizza well done and it was excellent. I would give it an 8.6/10 on the Portnoy scale. This place is legit with great wings too and reasonable prices for the amount of food. If you are ever in Marco or the area, I would highly suggest it.

Me and my family have been going to this restaurant for years now. Every time we are in Marco Island we come to Joey’s and have a good time. However, this is probably the last time I will ever come here. The food wasn’t bad; it was actually very good! What I’m complaining about is the service. We were a group of 9 and Marianella was our server. Steer clear of her. She was rude and arrogant towards us. She was unable to provide us good service and was very demeaning to us the entire time we were dining. On top of the absolutely terrible service, the restaurants practices have gotten questionable. No separate checks is absolutely insane. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a restaurant in America that has done this ever. I even saw a sharing charge on the bottom of the menu. Luckily, I wasn’t charged the fee, however, pizzas are literally made to be shared. The food was great but all other aspects of the restaurant sucked.

Food was amazing and the portions were big. Service was excellent. We are definitely coming back.

We were greated by our respectful and informative waiter. The Tipsy Mermaid drinks delightful along with the garlic knots. We loved our NY pizza and cannot as well. A perfect place for a date or a family.

We have ordered from this place a few times (just take out) and the ricotta and honey appetizer is delicious! Definitely recommend giving it a try. The pizza is also good and so are the desserts. Unfortunately, the last time we ordered the affogato, they forgot to give us the espresso. It is however, delicious.

Bruh, I am far to young to be writing a google review, but I feel so strongly about how god awful the pizza me and my family ordered I just have to. I am local to Orlando and my family is up in Florida visiting, we got a condo in the area and ordered pizza after a fun day and being far to tired to go out for dinner. Although we arrived early and the pizza was ready to go, we arrived home and the pizza was awful. It was SUPER oily, the crust was so hard I had to forcefully rip it apart. It was honestly just SO mid and disappointing as I love trying foods from local restaurants. So service was great, the food not so much

I first ate here in 2020 and the food was absolutely amazing. I’m from Chicago and I loved the Italian beef and the pizza at Joey’s. Ever since the last year the food has tasted so different and it’s just not appetizing anymore. Not sure if the ingredients have changed, but the Italian beef tastes so bad. The sauce is super oily and tasted like cardboard. The sandwich has a really awful flavor as well. We ordered fries and they tasted super old and overcooked. We also ordered pizza which was super bad. I think management needs to take a deep look at what’s happening to make this place great again.

Very rarely does everyone in my family absolutely love every single item of food we order, but Joey’s did that! We ordered the calamari, clam chowder soup, meatball sandwich, blackened grouper, linguine with mussels, and Nona’s ricotta cheesecake. Everything was superb and portion sizes were quite large; we have ordered the pizza from their takeout as well and it was fantastic! They have an extensive, but well curated menu that is sure to please everyone, including us Chicagoans!

The pizza is dry, it is inedible the next day. We got both the breakfast pizza w/sauce and a pepperoni. The pumpkin cake/bread was hard, dry and not pleasant (rather disappointing)!

Good place. We got the thin crust and it was spot on. They managed to keep the crust thin and crispy and not soggy. Very solid place to hit up if you are in the area. A large pizza and an appetizer should feed a family of four.

Joey’s is the greatest experience in Marco Island I have ever had the luxury to partake in. The fact that Joey’s does not have a mile long line, is a testament to the lackluster taste of anyone else. I had the Chicken Parmesan Pizza and was surprised at the delicious simplicity of the meal, I would equate eating it to that of a battle between flavor and tongue. I also had the opportunity to try the Caesar Salad, the Ginoche, and to top it off a deceptively simple chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream on top. All of these meals were organic, tasty, and fresh without exception. We ate before closing, but that did not stagger the performance of the servers, or the quality of the food. Our server was spry on his feet and emanated positive energy over everyone in the table. When we left we had the fortune of witnessing the servers and what I suspect to be the owner all laughing together akin to a real family. I look forward to the next time we visit, cause I will certainly urge my family to eat at Joey’s once more.

Good food and friendly service! Portions are huge so expect to have leftovers if you don’t share. We would return for sure!

I ordered the Doreen’s Salad and it may have been the best salad I have ever had in my life. The blackened chicken was amazing. The garlic knots were mouth watering. We loved every meal we had there. We are back home and now I am craving this place. We were on the island 7 days and ate here 4 times. The only reason we didn’t go every day was because my daughter was embarrassed to go so much….

The Best bartenders and staff around!

We ordered a Philly cheesesteak Stromboli, salad, and a large pizza. The Stromboli was huge and very good. I thought the pizza was below average. In my opinion, it was not worth the price it cost. Salad was well-received. The garlic knots aren’t as good as they used to be.

Great sandwich shop. I can safely say one of the best sandwiches I've had. The owner was funny and friendly. Loved his interaction with my son. He gave both of my kids free pizza. Get the coffee soda when your there, it's to die for.

Best chicken finger sandwich (sub) outside of Buffalo. Service and delivery to a local hotel was exceptional & fast - they even included plates and napkins. Pizza, sub & salad were all top notch!

Joey’s Pizza was a great place to eat after a long day at the beach. It has the style of a small family owned pizza restaurant so it has a nice and cozy atmosphere. We were seated immediately on arrival, so that’s always a good thing! We ordered the garlic bread with cheese and the Sicilian (2” of dough!!) with five meat topping. The food came out very quickly and was absolutely delicious. Even though it was a small size, the pizza was extremely filling. Even between my wife and I, we couldn’t get to half the pizza. The garlic bread was super crispy and cheesy as well. We finished off with the chocolate cannoli and the pistachio affogato. Both desserts were delicious as well with a great portion size. All in all, I would definitely recommend eating here on your next trip to Marco Island!

No trip to Marco is complete for our family until we have a pizza from Joey's! We LOVE their pizza! They are generous with the toppings, and their crumbled sausage is soooo good! We highly recommend them!

Great Italian food in a fun atmosphere. The salad with meatballs, lasagna, pizza, zucchini sticks.... and more are great! Large portions. It is hard to find great Italian but Joey's is it!

Don’t get the penne pasta with artichoke and chicken. Super lame no flavor. Stick with pizza at Joeys. Desserts are great!

I don’t like to post negative reviews but my husband and I were terribly disappointed by service and food here. We were “greeted” by a bartender who acted as if she could have cared less to have customers come in. Once at the table, the unfriendly waitress took our order. We were really hungry and excited to try the pizza. The salad we ordered was ok if you’re fine with getting iceberg lettuce when it was supposed to be mixed greens. The zucchini sticks were really good but the sauce it came with was not. It had a sour taste to it and no real flavor. The pizza was disgusting. It was a thin crust and the dough was not even cooked. Luckily our waitress finally cared about the service we were getting and how ridiculous this was and took it off of our bill. So disappointed and will not be back.

Pizzas never disappoint. Takeout service takes a bit on weekends due to demand but it's worth the wait.

Went for lunch on a weekday. Eggplant sub tasted like rubber. Asked for light on the cheese, it was loaded with cheese. Took 10 mins to get drinks served when there was literally one other customer. Not like years past.

SHAME on you for trying to re-zone the area around your restaurant to create LOW INCOME HOUSING that will depreciate the value of our condos nearby by your Restaurant. I will NEVER eat at your restaurant again!!!

Really good Chicago style pizza. Toppings to the end and cut in squares, and REAL CHICAGO SAUSAGE CHUNKS!!! 🎉 lasagna and parm delish 🤌🏼 Salads and appetizers equally as good! We’ll be back. * not a gluten-free, vegetarian type gal* 5 stars from us!

Best italian restaurant in Florida!

Mehhh. Pizza was boring and gnocchi tasted like cardboard. Only good thing was the garlic knots. Don’t recommend.

We ordered takeout. The salad was large and excellent, tasty dressing. The pizza we ordered was grilled eggplant and roasted red peppers. It was great,a thin, delicious crust, good sauce and cheese. Very good selection of topping choices as well.

My husband and I had an amazing dinner. The atmosphere and service is always top notch. Had appetizers drinks and two delicious veal dinners one Veal Caruso, and one Veal Milanese. Sal was our server and he was so polite and so efficient. I got the table while my husband was parking the car and we must’ve had drinks served to us within the first three minutes we sat down. Unbelievable service and never disappoints!!!! Way to go Joey on your top notch staff!!!! Looking forward to trying out your new addition La Mesa!! Congratulations!!!!

We had driven by this place many times in the past several years while visiting Marco Island. Last year we decided to try it out and enjoyed it so much we will make it a regular stop every year. This visit was no different. We had the lasagna, chicken alfredo and even ordered a pizza to go that we could warm up at the condo we were staying it. It's not the cheapest place to eat on Marco Island but it's worth it.

Best thin crust in southern Florida

Joey's is always a treat when visiting Marco. The gluten free pizza is very good. Salads never disappoint either. The staff has always been friendly and fast.

Harder to find very tiny but really good pizza and yummy

We ordered two dishes for takeout from Joey’s; a large two topping pizza and penne alla vodka. The bill came to $52 which is way too much. They are price gouge the tourists. My family’s been coming here since 1950 and this makes me really angry. On top of it, the penne alla vodka was bland and overall disappointing. Arrivederci Joey!!

Had friends visiting for the weekend and wanted to take them out for a nice meal. Waiter Michael P took our order and never saw until meal was over. We had to get side plates from bar. Water was never refilled. Garlic knots that are included with dinners never showed. We finally got our waiters attention and asked about the garlic knots. He said they are all out. Asked for some bread. Here’s where we go from insult to injury. He brings the bread 20 minutes later and we are done eating. The check comes and there is a $1.00 charge for the bread. I said that’s fine but where’s the credit for the garlic knots we paid for? Bottom line if you are unfortunate enough to get Michael P as your waiter just leave. He says “why do you want?” Really? Stop embarrassing me for recommending this restaurant to my friends

Let me start off by saying our waitress, Mirabelle, was wonderful! She was kind and attentive. With that being said, the check in group, not so much, specifically Johnny, yes a grown man called Johnny. He was rude, condescending and inappropriate. A real tough guy when he thought he was dealing simply with a woman but not so much when the men appeared. He has short man syndrome as well as a haircut a 16 year old boy would wear while being in his mid 40’s. We have been coming here for 20+ years and have never encountered anyone this rude. The three educated business professionals at our table would lose their jobs over this behavior. I hope Joey’s looks at their managerial staff specifically this “boy man”. I look forward to our apology!

Good food served in large portions with really good service too! Everyone, meat eaters and vegetarians too were very happy.

This place is an absolute gem! Got a recommendation from a staff member at my hotel and it didn't disappoint. In fact I ate here 2 nights in a row, 2nd night I got the stuffed artichoke and cheese steak stromboli and both were fantastic! The artichoke was almost a meal in itself, and it came with 2 garlic knots which were perfect to scoop up the plate sauce. The first night I had the ricotta and honeycomb and tomato pie, the ricotta dish was delicious, fresh flavorful, savory and sweet and just hit all the right notes. The tomato pie while good, could use some work. I'm from Trenton NJ and could be considered bias, but their version is really just a regular pizza with some sauce added on top of the cheese IMO. However it didn't stop me from eating a whole small pie (12") by myself, they do make a great crust. All of the staff I encountered were nice, and seemed happy to be there and service was fast and accurate. If you are visiting and want a good spot for dinner this is it. I'm coming back in a few months for work and will be on the island for a few weeks and you better believe I'm coming back. I also have heard their cannolis are great but I was to full to even attempt.

Manager took it upon himself to cut off 4 adults who hadn’t done a single thing wrong and also brought their families of 20 total to eat at Joeys. Accused us of being intoxicated and slurring our words when we were all completely sober. We had just gotten there for Pete’s sake. Our kids and wives were all already eating. I’m pretty sure he could tell our political views wouldn’t align with his, so he played God and ruined what should have been a great dinner. Petty would be a word, narcissistic could also be a word for this cat. Other than that, pizza was pretty solid. But it didn’t matter, dude ruined it and then acted cocky after with his staff. Too bad, Marco Island has been wonderful all week, until we ran into this illogical and unwarranted experience because of one dude, the manager in the thick rimmed black glasses. Total jerk to us.

WARNING: Don't go here if you have food allergy. Kitchen staff and management do not follow proper food safety precautions. Wait staff doesn't know what food items have allergens and management said they cannot control their kitchen.

IF YOU HAVE A SEVERE ALLERGY DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. The kitchen will not accommodate or try to ensure you can eat there safely. They take no allergy precautions and can literally kill someone.

I have never been to an establishment that made me feel more uncomfortable or that they did not remotely care about my life-threatening shellfish allergy. I have worked in restaurants for many years and even at Olive Garden we let people know that while there is always a risk we would do everything we possibly can to keep them safe. Our waiter said “there will be cross contamination” and the owner said they are back there cutting and acted like shrimp is flying around the joint? They assured me there was nothing they could do to lessen the risk. Don’t go here if you have any food allergies.

Pizza slices were very tasty but the bottom crust was a little too black for my liking. We added peppers and onions and there were enough of them on there but the pieces were too big and needed to be removed, cut up, and put back on. My wife is a cannoli lover and said theirs were excellent! The waitress and staff were excellent too.

Worst pizza we ever had. Crust had no flavor and tough to chew. One pizza was incorrect. Called and explained to the employee what we ordered and she didn't understand and she eventually hung up on me. Plus the online prices are not updated. Smalls are now $25 (online $20). Side salad now $14 (online $9.99) Will not recommend.

Ordered a small thin crust to go with sausage, mushrooms, and green olives. Server gave me a large with green peppers (vs the green olives that I ordered). Crust l Looked and tasted more like it was made from bread dough, not pizza dough.

Best pizza on Marco Island.....and SW Florida.

IV been to Joey's almost annually for the past dozen years and this place doesn't let you down. Their pizza is delicious -- from the dough to the sauce, to the cheese and toppings, all quality ingredients come together for a top notch final product. Highly recommend the Sicilian pizza. The garlic knots are full of flavor, the pasta was cooked just right, al dente. Service was a bit slow at the start and our waiter was new, but he did an satisfactory job once he got to our table -- not his fault, it appears they were understaffed for the lunch hour. The outdoor seating is comfortable and set up nicely with plenty of shade for the hot southwest Florida afternoons.

We walk here from South Seas Towers, so that’s always a winner, but this place always nails it in terms of truly thin crust pizza with great options, a family style salad with garlic knots (wow), meatballs, great service and wines and….ok, we love it and consider it one of the best casual Italian spots in the country.

Pizza was ok. Not stellar. We did take out. Our order was apparently lost and rather than admitting they missed it just said we must not have called the right place. Once they got more detail about the order the order magically showed up.

Let's just say, I had a small pizza with 5 items and a spinach lasagna. Lasagna was very good and pizza was just average. What bothered me most was the cost $58.83. I won't be ordering again.

Pizza was just ok and was extremely overpriced. Menu showed $3 for an extra topping. We split our topping in half and were charged double the price. We brought it to the attention of our server, and he said that is how they charge. $48 for one large pizza and 1 coke. We will not be back.

There's too many places to count on two hands when it comes to Italian food in this area. Joey's, while not in a "luxury spot," but certainly brings it with the quality of their food. HOLY, the vodka sauce brings it 100%, which is probably the best I've ever had even coming from extensive experience, haha. The pizza was super good, but be aware of a large Sicilian pizza... it is too big for two, and probably best for a larger group.

Absolutely awesome pizza, soup, salad, and garlic knots. The service was excellent. I can't wait to go back and see how the other menu items turn out. It was an awesome afternoon, so we sat outside. We couldn’t leave Naples without a trip to Marco Island for Joey’s pizza. Get the thin crust, Joey’s style. You’ll thank me. Love the pepperoni & crumbled Italian sausage combination! The best! I love coming here when I am in Naples! The best pizza, delicious garlic knots, huge portions, great wine and also a good vibe. Their outdoor seating is the best but have to get there early or wait a bit. Luckily their inside has a nice bar set up and they often keep the windows open!

A busy family spot, with mediocre food they claim (incorrectly) is Italian. This place seems to be a clone of Vinny Testa's, a now-defunct Boston eatery famed for serving gargantuan quantities of terrible food. The white pizza we ordered had to be the worst pizza I've ever had. Kids pizza tasted like cardboard. Those who ordered pastas were happier, although the oversauced dishes looked unappetizing and somebody who ordered chicken later complained of a stomache ache. Only saving grace is the service was brisk and they have large tables for big groups. Ceasar salad was passable, barely. Avoid if possible.

Love their deep dish pizza. Our server messed up my order and brought the thin crust so I went ahead and ate that as i was starving and didnt want to wait, it was very good too.
