Best and biggest burger in town full of flavor and the okra was on point and crispy.

I never brought food from this place, I tasted the wings from I friend that did, but I used to work at Johnson n a lot of people don't know how filthy n dirty the place is in the back where they prepare and cook the food, I really got disgusted when I saw one of the workers (family members) smoke cigarettes while prepping n preparing the food to be cooked, they don't clean their hands before they cook n they don't wear gloves. Yes they give you a lot of food for your money n the food may taste good but your food that you're eating is not clean, that place is not clean nor is the people. Am glad I never spent money on this place. People everything that looks good, tastes good not always good for you but hey if you like eating dirty food then help yourself🤢🤮🦠

Loved this Mom and Pop style food stop. Reminds me of the old corner kitchens from when I was younger. I got the cheeseburger basket all the way, which came with fries and also got a small side of onion rings. The fries were seasoned perfectly and that burger was MASSIVE! I snacked on the onion rings during my drive so I didn't get a chance to get a picture of them but they were great, too! If you are looking for that original, small-town, corner kitchen feel, this is the place to go. You will not be disappointed. I will definitely be back anytime I am in this part of town.

I was craving a juicy burger without me cooking it, I had seen a post on Fb about naming the best burger place and Johnsons restaurant came up several times. I just had to try. HoneYŸ I tell you best decisions EVERRRRR.i am stuffed on thus huge monster cheeseburger it will take me 3 days to finish. Yall come get you some you won't be disappointed.

big portion, good price taste good as well !!! bbq wings had too much mustard imo, made me cough but it tasted good after getting used to it lmao. onion ring was a bit oily, not really crunchy. service was friendly

The place feels like you're walking into a home. It's very welcoming. The customers are even friendly. I went in to get lunch on a whim. They only take cash but have an ATM. The ATM didn't dispense my money and it locked my card...this is where it gets good. The man running the cashier was understanding and called the ATM immediately. He offered me lunch and I thought I was gonna pay for it. He said on the house. Then gets my coworkers lunch too. Then proceeded to give me the biggest double cheeseburger I've ever seen in my life at a restaurant. Not to mention it was juicy, flavorful and not overcooked. I recommend this place above any place in the USA. Southern hospitality like you've never seen before! Thank you Johnsons Restaurant for the best lunch experience I've ever had and I've been all over the USA!

After Hearing so much about this place from family and friends I decided to go friendly service was fast the food was good the biggest burger I ever seen in my life remind me of the movie Good Burger definitely will go there again

I finally got a chance to try out Johnson's. I was NOT disappointed! I got the cheeseburger all the way, and a side of fried okra. The total was just under $10. Now, I don't know the exact weight of my burger, but I'm sure it was well over a half pound. It was amazing, and the fried okra was everything that fried okra is supposed to be. I look forward to going back and trying out the rest of their menu. If you go, know that it's cash only, and the parking can be a bit tight, but don't let that stop you. Mr. Johnson was super friendly, and I look forward to hopefully becoming a regular.

A very low-key location with great burgers, fish, & salads. Portions are large, but fairly priced. This is a cash only business. I've never ate in, but will drive 40 mins roundtrip for it. There hours change daily.

A Classic Place. One off the Biggest Burgers I have ever encountered. That Double Burger will have you sleep. For People who are looking for Real Hash and Rice;Johnson's have it. I enjoyed the Food from Johnson's. I'm sure you will to.

This place serves one of the largest hamburgers I have ever seen; the kind you need several napkins to eat. It is almost impossible to take a bite of the thing because it is so thick. The food is very good simple diner food. Hamburgers, fries, fried okra, hotdog with chili, some bbq...that type of thing. It is one of those nondescript places on the side of the road that I would never have gone to without someone telling me that I should. As I entered I felt like I had walked into a different era. It is a small cash only diner with one table and a bar with stools inside. The counter is filled with large jars of pickled products from eggs to pigs feet; and drinks and ice are served from coolers on the side. A big fan keeps the place cool and orders are written down on a slip of paper and taken to the back. It is not 'fast food' it took about twenty minutes for our order to cook, but the people were friendly as we waited. It was interesting and I am sure we will return.

The burgers are great but the chicken liver always tastes spoiled I tried to give the liver a second chance but it always tastes the same

Was just told of Johnson's. Checked it out on-line. Great reviews, so I decided to try it out. Certainly a hole-in-the-wall, but I had one of the best cheeseburgers ever. Messy, but great! The onion rings were good and plentiful. The ladies doing the cooking in the back were friendly. The man (owner?) in front was busy taking orders on the phone and was also friendly. Head out to Monticello Rd and try it out. You won't regret it!

HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. Was told about this place, just traveled from Atlanta, mouth watering for a cheeseburger, fries and lemonade. Came out the way, a long way, around a detour, gas high just to get here and it's closed. Got here after 5. Google stated you were open until 7:00. If your hours, day's etc changes, please update your website. Their are people like me traveling from a far that goes by Google.

Went here today and man what an amazing place. Will be back to try that great looking burger. We got the Sunday Dinner plate and OMG, it was absolutely the best. Totally worth it and you will not be disappointed.

STRETCH MARKS ON YOUR MOUTH!! That’s what you might get from eating this massive burger! I couldn’t finish mine and hubs struggled to finish his. Excellent service, food, and price! A cheeseburger with onion rings, a hamburger with onion rings, and two drinks totaled less than $20! Plus, we received a small side of coleslaw. These are some of the tastiest onion rings I’ve ever had in my life—crispy on the outside and perfect on the inside! The place is very rustic and small, but there is a large, round, glass-topped table that seats 6, and there is a bar with about 3 or 4 seats. It took me back to my childhood of a corner store with a restaurant. We took ours to go and ate at a park about 5 minutes away. Our food was still hot! Nice variety of drinks (bottled and canned) and a few grocery staples: seafood breading, pickles, pickled eggs and pig feet, etcetera. Yes—you read correctly—pickled eggs AND pickled pig feet! The owner is awesome—very personable, and our food was cooked to perfection. Don’t say I didn’t warn you about the potential stretch marks around your mouth 😜 bc this burger is BIG! Use your cocoa butter or Vaseline! Forgot to take a pic before digging in, but you can see it’s medium cooked—the way a burger should be! We shall return

This is the top hole in the wall place in Columbia! Mainly take but there is a bar (not drinks) and a table. There are about 10-15 people waiting on their meals so that all seats are about taken. They have a fantastic homemade single burger that your mouth is not big enough to take the first bite. Really great tasting and lots of toppings. I foolishly ordered the onion rings and thus was overwhelmed by the food. The onion rings, I don’t believe were homemade, were excellent without dripping in grease. In total I ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, slaw is included and a bottled water plus a bottled sprite. Total bill including tax was $10.10. You ain’t going to beat that price!!! I will be back. BTW, that is Johnson in a picture and he was extremely friendly!
